1. മനശ്ശെ വാഴ്ചതുടങ്ങിയപ്പോള് അവന്നു പന്ത്രണ്ടു വയസ്സായിരുന്നു; അവന് അമ്പത്തഞ്ചു സംവത്സരം യെരൂശലേമില് വാണു അവന്റെ അമ്മെക്കു ഹെഫ്സീബ എന്നു പേര്.

1. Manasseh was twelve years old when he became king. And he ruled fifty-five years in Jerusalem. His mother's name was Hephzibah.

2. എന്നാല് യഹോവ യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളുടെ മുമ്പില്നിന്നു നീക്കിക്കളഞ്ഞ ജാതികളുടെ മ്ളേച്ഛതകള്ക്കൊത്തവണ്ണം അവന് യഹോവേക്കു അനിഷ്ടമായുള്ളതു ചെയ്തു.

2. Manasseh did what was sinful in the eyes of the Lord. He did the sinful things that were done by the nations whom the Lord drove out from the people of Israel.

3. തന്റെ അപ്പനായ ഹിസ്കീയാവു നശിപ്പിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞിരുന്ന പൂജാഗിരികളെ അവന് വീണ്ടും പണിതു; ബാലിന്നു ബലിപീഠങ്ങള് ഉണ്ടാക്കി; യിസ്രായേല്രാജാവായ ആഹാബ് ചെയ്തതു പോലെ ഒരു അശേരാപ്രതിഷ്ഠ പ്രതിഷ്ഠിച്ചു ആകാശത്തിലെ സര്വ്വസൈന്യത്തെയും നമസ്കരിച്ചു സേവിച്ചു.

3. He built again the high places which his father Hezekiah had destroyed. He built altars for Baal and made an object out of wood to worship the false goddess Asherah. He did as Ahab king of Israel had done. He worshiped all the stars of heaven and served them.

4. യെരൂശലേമില് ഞാന് എന്റെ നാം സ്ഥാപിക്കുമെന്നു യഹോവ കല്പിച്ചിരുന്ന യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിലും അവന് ബലിപീഠങ്ങള് പണിതു.

4. He built altars in the house of the Lord, of which the Lord had said, 'In Jerusalem I will put My name.'

5. യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിന്റെ രണ്ടു പ്രാകാരങ്ങളിലും അവന് ആകാശത്തിലെ സര്വ്വസൈന്യത്തിന്നും ബലിപീഠങ്ങള് പണിതു;

5. Manasseh built altars for all the stars of heaven in the two open spaces of the Lord's house.

6. അവന് തന്റെ മകനെ അഗ്നി പ്രവേശം ചെയ്യിക്കയും മുഹൂര്ത്തം നോക്കുകയും ആഭിചാരം പ്രയോഗിക്കയും വെളിച്ചപ്പാടന്മാരെയും ലക്ഷണം പറയുന്നവരെയും നിയമിക്കയും ചെയ്തു. യഹോവയെ കോപിപ്പിപ്പാന് തക്കവണ്ണം അവന്നു അനിഷ്ടമായുള്ളതു പലതും ചെയ്തു.

6. He gave his son as a burnt gift, used witchcraft and told the future. He listened to those who spoke with spirits and used their secret ways. He did things that were very sinful in the eyes of the Lord, and made the Lord angry.

7. ഈ ആലയത്തിലും യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ സകലഗോത്രങ്ങളില് നിന്നും ഞാന് തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തിരിക്കുന്ന യെരൂശലേമിലും ഞാന് എന്റെ നാമം എന്നേക്കും സ്ഥാപിക്കും എന്നു യഹോവ ദാവീദിനോടും അവന്റെ മകനായ ശലോമോനോടും അരുളിച്ചെയ്ത ആലയത്തില് താന് ഉണ്ടാക്കിയ അശേരാപ്രതിഷ്ഠ അവന് പ്രതിഷ്ഠിച്ചു.

7. Then Manasseh put the object he had made for Asherah into the house of the Lord. But the Lord had said to David and to his son Solomon, 'I have chosen this house and Jerusalem from all the families of Israel. Here I will put My name forever.

8. ഞാന് അവരോടു കല്പിച്ചതൊക്കെയും എന്റെ ദാസനായ മോശെ അവരോടു കല്പിച്ച സകല ന്യായപ്രമാണവും അനുസരിച്ചു നടക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവര് ശ്രദ്ധിക്കമാത്രം ചെയ്താല് ഇനി യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ കാല്, അവരുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാര്ക്കും ഞാന് കൊടുത്ത ദേശം വിട്ടലയുവാന് ഇടവരുത്തുകയില്ല എന്നു യഹോവ കല്പിച്ചിരുന്നു.

8. I will not make the feet of Israel travel any more from the land I gave to their fathers. But they must obey all that I have told them, and all the Law that My servant Moses told to them.'

9. എന്നാല് അവര് കേട്ടനുസരിച്ചില്ല; യഹോവ യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളുടെ മുമ്പില്നിന്നു നശിപ്പിച്ച ജാതികളെക്കാളും അധികം ദോഷം ചെയ്വാന് മനശ്ശെ അവരെ തെറ്റിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞു.

9. But they did not listen. Manasseh led them to sin more than the nations whom the Lord destroyed from in front of the people of Israel.

10. ആകയാല് യഹോവ, പ്രവാചകന്മാരായ തന്റെ ദാസന്മാര് മുഖാന്തരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതെന്തെന്നാല്

10. Now the Lord spoke through His servants who tell what will happen in the future. He said,

11. യെഹൂദാരാജാവായ മനശ്ശെ തനിക്കു മുമ്പെ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്ന അമോര്യ്യര് ചെയ്ത സകലത്തെക്കാളും അധികം ദോഷമായി ഈ മ്ളേച്ഛതകള് പ്രവര്ത്തിച്ചിരിക്കയാലും തന്റെ വിഗ്രഹങ്ങളെക്കൊണ്ടു യെഹൂദയെയും പാപം ചെയ്യിക്കയാലും

11. Manasseh king of Judah has done these sinful things. He has sinned more than all the Amorites who were before him. And he has made Judah sin with his false gods. Because he has done this,

12. യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുകേള്ക്കുന്ന ഏവന്റെയും ചെവി രണ്ടും മുഴങ്ങത്തക്കവണ്ണമുള്ള അനര്ത്ഥം ഞാന് യെരൂശലേമിന്നും യെഹൂദെക്കും വരുത്തും.

12. the Lord, the God of Israel, says, 'See, I am bringing such trouble upon Jerusalem and Judah, that the ears of whoever hears it will be painful.

13. ഞാന് യെരൂശലേമിന്മേല് ശമര്യ്യയുടെ അളവുനൂലും ആഹാബ് ഗൃഹത്തിന്റെ തൂക്കുകട്ടയും പിടിക്കും; ഒരുത്തന് ഒരു തളിക തുടെക്കയും തുടെച്ചശേഷം അതു കവിഴ്ത്തിവെക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നതുപോലെ ഞാന് യെരൂശലേമിനെ തുടെച്ചുകളയും.

13. I will punish Jerusalem as I did Samaria and as I did the family of Ahab. I will dry Jerusalem as one dries a dish, rubbing it and turning it up-sidedown.

14. എന്റെ അവകാശത്തിന്റെ ശേഷിപ്പു ഞാന് ത്യജിച്ചു അവരെ അവരുടെ ശത്രുക്കളുടെ കയ്യില് ഏല്പിക്കും; അവര് തങ്ങളുടെ സകലശത്രുക്കള്ക്കും കവര്ച്ചയും കൊള്ളയും ആയ്തീരും.

14. I will leave alone all who are left of My people, and give them to those who hate them. They will become something taken after the battle by those who fight against them.

15. അവരുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാര് മിസ്രയീമില്നിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ട നാള്മുതല് ഇന്നുവരെ അവര് എനിക്കു അനിഷ്ടമായുള്ളതു ചെയ്തു എന്നെ കോപിപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു തന്നേ.

15. Because they have done what is bad in My eyes. They have been making Me angry since the day their fathers came from Egypt until this day.' '

16. അത്രയുമല്ല, യഹോവേക്കു അനിഷ്ടമായുള്ളതു ചെയ്യേണ്ടതിന്നു മനശ്ശെ യെഹൂദയെക്കൊണ്ടു ചെയ്യിച്ച പാപം കൂടാതെ അവന് യെരൂശലേമില് ഒരറ്റംമുതല് മറ്റേഅറ്റംവരെ നിറെപ്പാന് തക്കവണ്ണം കുറ്റമില്ലാത്ത രക്തവും ഏറ്റവും വളരെ ചിന്നിച്ചു.

16. Manasseh killed many who were without guilt. He filled Jerusalem with blood from one end to another. He sinned and made Judah sin, by doing what is sinful in the eyes of the Lord.

17. മനശ്ശെയുടെ മറ്റുള്ള വൃത്താന്തങ്ങളും അവന് ചെയ്തതൊക്കെയും അവന്റെ പാപവും യെഹൂദാരാജാക്കന്മാരുടെ വൃത്താന്തപുസ്തകത്തില് എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.

17. Now the rest of the acts of Manasseh and his sins are written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Judah.

18. മനശ്ശെ തന്റെ പിതാക്കന്മാരെപ്പോലെ നിദ്രപ്രാപിച്ചു; അരമനയുടെ തോട്ടത്തില്, ഉസ്സയുടെ തോട്ടത്തില് തന്നേ, അവനെ അടക്കംചെയ്തു; അവന്റെ മകനായ ആമോന് അവന്നുപകരം രാജാവായി.

18. Manasseh died and was buried in the garden of his own house, in the garden of Uzza. And his son Amon became king in his place.

19. ആമോന് വാഴ്ചതുടങ്ങിയപ്പോള് അവന്നു ഇരുപത്തിരണ്ടു വയസ്സായിരുന്നു; അവന് രണ്ടു സംവത്സരം യെരൂശലേമില് വാണു. അവന്റെ അമ്മെക്കു മെശൂല്ലേമെത്ത് എന്നു പേര്; അവള് യൊത്ബക്കാരനായ ഹാരൂസിന്റെ മകള് ആയിരുന്നു.

19. Amon was twenty-two years old when he became king. He ruled for two years in Jerusalem. His mother's name was Meshullemeth the daughter of Haruz of Jotbah.

20. അവന് തന്റെ അപ്പനായ മനശ്ശെ ചെയ്തതുപോലെ യഹോവേക്കു അനിഷ്ടമായുള്ളതു ചെയ്തു;

20. Amon did what was sinful in the eyes of the Lord, as his father Manasseh had done.

21. തന്റെ അപ്പന് നടന്ന വഴിയിലൊക്കെയും നടന്നു; തന്റെ അപ്പന് സേവിച്ച വിഗ്രഹങ്ങളെയും സേവിച്ചു നമസ്കരിച്ചു.

21. He walked in all the ways that his father had walked. He worshiped false gods like his father had.

22. അങ്ങനെ അവന് തന്റെ പിതാക്കന്മാരുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയെ ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞു; യഹോവയുടെ വഴിയില് നടന്നതുമില്ല.

22. So he turned away from the Lord, the God of his fathers. He did not walk in the way of the Lord.

23. എന്നാല് ആമോന്റെ ഭൃത്യന്മാര് അവന്റെ നേരെ കൂട്ടുകെട്ടുണ്ടാക്കി രാജാവിനെ അരമനയില്വെച്ചു കൊന്നുകളഞ്ഞു;

23. And the servants of Amon made plans against him, and killed the king in his own house.

24. എന്നാല് ദേശത്തെ ജനം ആമോന് രാജാവിന്റെ നേരെ കൂട്ടുകെട്ടുണ്ടാക്കിയവരെ ഒക്കെയും കൊന്നു; ദേശത്തെ ജനം അവന്റെ മകനായ യോശീയാവെ അവന്നുപകരം രാജാവാക്കി.

24. Then the people of the land killed all those who had made plans against King Amon. And they made Josiah his son king in his place.

25. ആമോന് ചെയ്ത മറ്റുള്ള വൃത്താന്തങ്ങള് യെഹൂദാരാജാക്കന്മാരുടെ വൃത്താന്തപുസ്തകത്തില് എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.

25. Now the rest of the acts of Amon are written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Judah.

26. ഉസ്സയുടെ തോട്ടത്തിലെ അവന്റെ കല്ലറയില് അവനെ അടക്കംചെയ്തു. അവന്റെ മകനായ യോശീയാവു അവന്നുപകരം രാജാവായി.

26. He was buried in his grave in the garden of Uzza. And his son Josiah became king in his place.
