1. മനശ്ശെ വാഴ്ചതുടങ്ങിയപ്പോള് അവന്നു പന്ത്രണ്ടു വയസ്സായിരുന്നു; അവന് അമ്പത്തഞ്ചു സംവത്സരം യെരൂശലേമില് വാണു അവന്റെ അമ്മെക്കു ഹെഫ്സീബ എന്നു പേര്.

1. A son of twelve years [is] Manasseh in his reigning, and fifty and five years he hath reigned in Jerusalem, and the name of his mother [is] Hephzi-Bah;

2. എന്നാല് യഹോവ യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളുടെ മുമ്പില്നിന്നു നീക്കിക്കളഞ്ഞ ജാതികളുടെ മ്ളേച്ഛതകള്ക്കൊത്തവണ്ണം അവന് യഹോവേക്കു അനിഷ്ടമായുള്ളതു ചെയ്തു.

2. and he doth the evil thing in the eyes of Jehovah, according to the abominations of the nations that Jehovah dispossessed from the presence of the sons of Israel,

3. തന്റെ അപ്പനായ ഹിസ്കീയാവു നശിപ്പിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞിരുന്ന പൂജാഗിരികളെ അവന് വീണ്ടും പണിതു; ബാലിന്നു ബലിപീഠങ്ങള് ഉണ്ടാക്കി; യിസ്രായേല്രാജാവായ ആഹാബ് ചെയ്തതു പോലെ ഒരു അശേരാപ്രതിഷ്ഠ പ്രതിഷ്ഠിച്ചു ആകാശത്തിലെ സര്വ്വസൈന്യത്തെയും നമസ്കരിച്ചു സേവിച്ചു.

3. and he turneth and buildeth the high places that Hezekiah his father destroyed, and raiseth altars for Baal, and maketh a shrine, as did Ahab king of Israel, and boweth himself to all the host of the heavens, and serveth them.

4. യെരൂശലേമില് ഞാന് എന്റെ നാം സ്ഥാപിക്കുമെന്നു യഹോവ കല്പിച്ചിരുന്ന യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിലും അവന് ബലിപീഠങ്ങള് പണിതു.

4. And he hath built altars in the house of Jehovah, of which Jehovah said, 'In Jerusalem I put My name.'

5. യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിന്റെ രണ്ടു പ്രാകാരങ്ങളിലും അവന് ആകാശത്തിലെ സര്വ്വസൈന്യത്തിന്നും ബലിപീഠങ്ങള് പണിതു;

5. And he buildeth altars to all the host of the heavens in the two courts of the house of Jehovah;

6. അവന് തന്റെ മകനെ അഗ്നി പ്രവേശം ചെയ്യിക്കയും മുഹൂര്ത്തം നോക്കുകയും ആഭിചാരം പ്രയോഗിക്കയും വെളിച്ചപ്പാടന്മാരെയും ലക്ഷണം പറയുന്നവരെയും നിയമിക്കയും ചെയ്തു. യഹോവയെ കോപിപ്പിപ്പാന് തക്കവണ്ണം അവന്നു അനിഷ്ടമായുള്ളതു പലതും ചെയ്തു.

6. and he hath caused his son to pass through fire, and observed clouds, and used enchantment, and dealt with a familiar spirit and wizards; he hath multiplied to do the evil thing in the eyes of Jehovah -- to provoke to anger.

7. ഈ ആലയത്തിലും യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ സകലഗോത്രങ്ങളില് നിന്നും ഞാന് തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തിരിക്കുന്ന യെരൂശലേമിലും ഞാന് എന്റെ നാമം എന്നേക്കും സ്ഥാപിക്കും എന്നു യഹോവ ദാവീദിനോടും അവന്റെ മകനായ ശലോമോനോടും അരുളിച്ചെയ്ത ആലയത്തില് താന് ഉണ്ടാക്കിയ അശേരാപ്രതിഷ്ഠ അവന് പ്രതിഷ്ഠിച്ചു.

7. And he setteth the graven image of the shrine that he made in the house of which Jehovah said unto David and unto Solomon his son, 'In this house, and in Jerusalem, that I have chosen out of all the tribes of Israel, I put My name -- to the age;

8. ഞാന് അവരോടു കല്പിച്ചതൊക്കെയും എന്റെ ദാസനായ മോശെ അവരോടു കല്പിച്ച സകല ന്യായപ്രമാണവും അനുസരിച്ചു നടക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവര് ശ്രദ്ധിക്കമാത്രം ചെയ്താല് ഇനി യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ കാല്, അവരുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാര്ക്കും ഞാന് കൊടുത്ത ദേശം വിട്ടലയുവാന് ഇടവരുത്തുകയില്ല എന്നു യഹോവ കല്പിച്ചിരുന്നു.

8. and I do not add to cause the foot of Israel to move from the ground that I gave to their fathers, only, if they observe to do according to all that I commanded them, and to all the law that My servant Moses commanded them.'

9. എന്നാല് അവര് കേട്ടനുസരിച്ചില്ല; യഹോവ യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളുടെ മുമ്പില്നിന്നു നശിപ്പിച്ച ജാതികളെക്കാളും അധികം ദോഷം ചെയ്വാന് മനശ്ശെ അവരെ തെറ്റിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞു.

9. And they have not hearkened, and Manasseh causeth them to err, to do the evil thing above the nations that Jehovah destroyed from the presence of the sons of Israel.

10. ആകയാല് യഹോവ, പ്രവാചകന്മാരായ തന്റെ ദാസന്മാര് മുഖാന്തരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതെന്തെന്നാല്

10. And Jehovah speaketh by the hand of his servants the prophets, saying,

11. യെഹൂദാരാജാവായ മനശ്ശെ തനിക്കു മുമ്പെ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്ന അമോര്യ്യര് ചെയ്ത സകലത്തെക്കാളും അധികം ദോഷമായി ഈ മ്ളേച്ഛതകള് പ്രവര്ത്തിച്ചിരിക്കയാലും തന്റെ വിഗ്രഹങ്ങളെക്കൊണ്ടു യെഹൂദയെയും പാപം ചെയ്യിക്കയാലും

11. 'Because that Manasseh king of Judah hath done these abominations -- he hath done evil above all that the Amorites have done who [are] before him, and causeth also Judah to sin by his idols;

12. യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുകേള്ക്കുന്ന ഏവന്റെയും ചെവി രണ്ടും മുഴങ്ങത്തക്കവണ്ണമുള്ള അനര്ത്ഥം ഞാന് യെരൂശലേമിന്നും യെഹൂദെക്കും വരുത്തും.

12. therefore thus said Jehovah, God of Israel, Lo, I am bringing in evil on Jerusalem and Judah, that whoever heareth of it, tingle do his two ears.

13. ഞാന് യെരൂശലേമിന്മേല് ശമര്യ്യയുടെ അളവുനൂലും ആഹാബ് ഗൃഹത്തിന്റെ തൂക്കുകട്ടയും പിടിക്കും; ഒരുത്തന് ഒരു തളിക തുടെക്കയും തുടെച്ചശേഷം അതു കവിഴ്ത്തിവെക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നതുപോലെ ഞാന് യെരൂശലേമിനെ തുടെച്ചുകളയും.

13. And I have stretched out over Jerusalem the line of Samaria, and the plummet of the house of Ahab, and wiped Jerusalem as one wipeth the dish -- he hath wiped, and hath turned [it] on its face.

14. എന്റെ അവകാശത്തിന്റെ ശേഷിപ്പു ഞാന് ത്യജിച്ചു അവരെ അവരുടെ ശത്രുക്കളുടെ കയ്യില് ഏല്പിക്കും; അവര് തങ്ങളുടെ സകലശത്രുക്കള്ക്കും കവര്ച്ചയും കൊള്ളയും ആയ്തീരും.

14. 'And I have left the remnant of Mine inheritance, and given them into the hand of their enemies, and they have been for a prey and for a spoil to all their enemies,

15. അവരുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാര് മിസ്രയീമില്നിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ട നാള്മുതല് ഇന്നുവരെ അവര് എനിക്കു അനിഷ്ടമായുള്ളതു ചെയ്തു എന്നെ കോപിപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു തന്നേ.

15. because that they have done the evil thing in Mine eyes, and are provoking Me to anger from the day that their fathers came out of Egypt, even unto this day.'

16. അത്രയുമല്ല, യഹോവേക്കു അനിഷ്ടമായുള്ളതു ചെയ്യേണ്ടതിന്നു മനശ്ശെ യെഹൂദയെക്കൊണ്ടു ചെയ്യിച്ച പാപം കൂടാതെ അവന് യെരൂശലേമില് ഒരറ്റംമുതല് മറ്റേഅറ്റംവരെ നിറെപ്പാന് തക്കവണ്ണം കുറ്റമില്ലാത്ത രക്തവും ഏറ്റവും വളരെ ചിന്നിച്ചു.

16. And also, innocent blood hath Manasseh shed very much, till that he hath filled Jerusalem -- mouth to mouth; apart from his sin that he hath caused Judah to sin, to do the evil thing in the eyes of Jehovah.

17. മനശ്ശെയുടെ മറ്റുള്ള വൃത്താന്തങ്ങളും അവന് ചെയ്തതൊക്കെയും അവന്റെ പാപവും യെഹൂദാരാജാക്കന്മാരുടെ വൃത്താന്തപുസ്തകത്തില് എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.

17. And the rest of the matters of Manasseh, and all that he did, and his sin that he sinned, are they not written on the book of the Chronicles of the kings of Judah?

18. മനശ്ശെ തന്റെ പിതാക്കന്മാരെപ്പോലെ നിദ്രപ്രാപിച്ചു; അരമനയുടെ തോട്ടത്തില്, ഉസ്സയുടെ തോട്ടത്തില് തന്നേ, അവനെ അടക്കംചെയ്തു; അവന്റെ മകനായ ആമോന് അവന്നുപകരം രാജാവായി.

18. And Manasseh lieth with his fathers, and is buried in the garden of his house, in the garden of Uzza, and reign doth Amon his son in his stead.

19. ആമോന് വാഴ്ചതുടങ്ങിയപ്പോള് അവന്നു ഇരുപത്തിരണ്ടു വയസ്സായിരുന്നു; അവന് രണ്ടു സംവത്സരം യെരൂശലേമില് വാണു. അവന്റെ അമ്മെക്കു മെശൂല്ലേമെത്ത് എന്നു പേര്; അവള് യൊത്ബക്കാരനായ ഹാരൂസിന്റെ മകള് ആയിരുന്നു.

19. A son of twenty and two years [is] Amon in his reigning, and two years he hath reigned in Jerusalem, and the name of his mother [is] Meshullemeth daughter of Haruz of Jotbah,

20. അവന് തന്റെ അപ്പനായ മനശ്ശെ ചെയ്തതുപോലെ യഹോവേക്കു അനിഷ്ടമായുള്ളതു ചെയ്തു;

20. and he doth the evil thing in the eyes of Jehovah, as did Manasseh his father,

21. തന്റെ അപ്പന് നടന്ന വഴിയിലൊക്കെയും നടന്നു; തന്റെ അപ്പന് സേവിച്ച വിഗ്രഹങ്ങളെയും സേവിച്ചു നമസ്കരിച്ചു.

21. and walketh in all the way that his father walked in, and serveth the idols that his father served, and boweth himself to them,

22. അങ്ങനെ അവന് തന്റെ പിതാക്കന്മാരുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയെ ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞു; യഹോവയുടെ വഴിയില് നടന്നതുമില്ല.

22. and forsaketh Jehovah, God of his fathers, and hath not walked in the way of Jehovah.

23. എന്നാല് ആമോന്റെ ഭൃത്യന്മാര് അവന്റെ നേരെ കൂട്ടുകെട്ടുണ്ടാക്കി രാജാവിനെ അരമനയില്വെച്ചു കൊന്നുകളഞ്ഞു;

23. And the servants of Amon conspire against him, and put the king to death in his own house,

24. എന്നാല് ദേശത്തെ ജനം ആമോന് രാജാവിന്റെ നേരെ കൂട്ടുകെട്ടുണ്ടാക്കിയവരെ ഒക്കെയും കൊന്നു; ദേശത്തെ ജനം അവന്റെ മകനായ യോശീയാവെ അവന്നുപകരം രാജാവാക്കി.

24. and the people of the land smite all those conspiring against king Amon, and the people of the land cause Josiah his son to reign in his stead.

25. ആമോന് ചെയ്ത മറ്റുള്ള വൃത്താന്തങ്ങള് യെഹൂദാരാജാക്കന്മാരുടെ വൃത്താന്തപുസ്തകത്തില് എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.

25. And the rest of the matters of Amon that he did, are they not written on the book of the Chronicles of the kings of Judah?

26. ഉസ്സയുടെ തോട്ടത്തിലെ അവന്റെ കല്ലറയില് അവനെ അടക്കംചെയ്തു. അവന്റെ മകനായ യോശീയാവു അവന്നുപകരം രാജാവായി.

26. and [one] burieth him in his burying-place in the garden of Uzza, and reign doth Josiah his son in his stead.
