1. യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരാവിതുരൂബേന് , ശിമെയോന് , ലേവി, യെഹൂദാ,

1. These [are] the names of the sons of Israel:

2. യിസ്സാഖാര്, സെബൂലൂന് , ദാന് , യോസേഫ്, ബെന്യാമീന് , നഫ്താലി, ഗാദ്, ആശേര്.

2. Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Issachar, Zebulun, Dan, Joseph, Benjamin, Naphtali, Gad, and Asher.

3. യെഹൂദയുടെ പുത്രന്മാര്ഏര്, ഔനാന് , ശേലാ; ഇവര് മൂവരും കനാന്യസ്ത്രീയായ ബത്ശൂവയില്നിന്നു അവന്നു ജനിച്ചു. യെഹൂദയുടെ ആദ്യജാതനായ ഏര് യഹോവേക്കു അനിഷ്ടനായിരുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു അവന് അവനെ കൊന്നു.

3. The sons of Judah [were] Er, Onan, and Shelah. [These] three were born to him of the daughter of Shua the Canaanite woman. And Er, the firstborn of Judah, [was] wicked before the Lord, and He killed him.

4. And Tamar his daughter-in-law bore to him Perez and Zerah. All the sons of Judah [were] five.

5. The sons of Perez [were] Hezron and Hamul.

6. And the sons of Zerah [were] Zimri, Ethan, Heman, Calcol, and Dara- five [in] all.

7. And the son of Carmi [was] Achar the troubler of Israel, who was disobedient in the accursed thing.

8. ഏഥാന്റെ പുത്രന്മാര്അസര്യ്യാവു. ഹെസ്രോന്നു ജനിച്ച പുത്രന്മാര്യെരഹ്മയേല്, രാം, കെലൂബായി.

8. And the son of Ethan [was] Azariah.

9. രാം അമ്മീനാദാബിനെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു; അമ്മീനാദാബ് യെഹൂദാമക്കള്ക്കു പ്രഭുവായ നഹശോനെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു.

9. Also the sons of Hezron who were born to him [were] Jerahmeel, Ram, and Chelubai.

10. നഹശോന് ശല്മയെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു; ശല്മാ ബോവസിനെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു.

10. And Ram begot Amminadab, and Amminadab begot Nahshon, chief of the house of Judah.

11. And Nahshon begot Salma, and Salmon begot Boaz,

12. and Boaz begot Obed, and Obed begot Jesse.

13. And Jesse begot his firstborn Eliab, Abinadab [was] his second, Shimea the third,

14. Nethanel the fourth, Raddai the fifth,

16. And their sisters [were] Zeruiah and Abigail. And the sons of Zeruiah [were] Abishai, Joab, and Asahel, three.

17. And Abigail bore Amasa; and the father of Amasa [was] Jether the Ishmaelite.

18. And Caleb the son of Hezron took Azubah to wife, by Jerioth. Now these [were] her sons: Jesher, Shobab, and Ardon.

19. And Azubah died; and Caleb took to himself Ephrath [as a wife], and she bore to him Hur.

20. And Hur begot Uri, and Uri begot Bezalel.

21. And after this Hezron went in to the daughter of Machir the father of Gilead, and he took her when he was sixty-five years old; and she bore him Segub.

22. And Segub begot Jair, and he had twenty-three cities in Gilead.

23. And he took Geshur and Aram, the towns of Jair from them; [with] Kenath and its towns, sixty cities. All these [belonged to] the sons of Machir the father of Gilead.

24. And after the death of Hezron, Caleb came to Ephrathah; and the wife of Hezron [was] Abijah; and she bore him Ashur the father of Tekoa.

25. യെരഹ്മയേലിന്നു മറ്റൊരു ഭാര്യ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; അവള്ക്കു അതാരാ എന്നു പേര്; അവള് ഔനാമിന്റെ അമ്മ.

25. And the sons of Jerahmeel the firstborn of Hezron [were] Ram, the firstborn, and Bunah, Oren, and Ozem his brother.

26. യെരഹ്മയേലിന്റെ ആദ്യജാതനായ രാമിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാര്മയസ്, യാമീന് , ഏക്കെര്.

26. And Jerahmeel had another wife, and her name [was] Atarah. She is the mother of Onam.

27. ഔനാമിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാര്ശമ്മായി യാദാ. ശമ്മായിയുടെ പുത്രന്മാര്നാദാബ്, അബിശൂര്.

27. And the sons of Ram the firstborn of Jerahmeel were Maaz, Jamin, and Eker.

28. അബിശൂരിന്റെ ഭാര്യെക്കു അബീഹയീല് എന്നു പേര്; അവള് അവന്നു അഹ്ബാനെയും മോലീദിനെയും പ്രസവിച്ചു.

28. And the sons of Onam were Shammai, and Jada. And the sons of Shammai [were] Nadab and Abishur.

29. And the name of the wife of Abishur [was] Abihail, and she bore him Ahban and Molid.

30. അപ്പയീമിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാര്യിശി. യിശിയുടെ പുത്രന്മാര്ശേശാന് . ശേശാന്റെ പുത്രന്മാര്

30. And the sons of Nadab [were] Seled and Appaim. And Seled died without children.

31. അഹ്ളയീം. ശമ്മായിയുടെ സഹോദരനായ യാദയുടെ പുത്രന്മാര്യേഥെര്, യോനാഥാന് ; എന്നാല് യേഥെര് മക്കളില്ലാതെ മരിച്ചു.

31. And the son of Appaim [was] Ishi; and the son of Ishi [was] Sheshan; and the son of Sheshan [was] Ahlai.

32. യോനാഥാന്റെ പുത്രന്മാര്പേലെത്ത്, സാസാ. ഇവര് യെല്ഹ്മയെലിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാര്.

32. And the sons of Jada [were] Jether and Jonathan. And Jether died childless.

33. ശേശാന്നു പുത്രിമാരല്ലാതെ പുത്രന്മാര് ഇല്ലായിരുന്നു. ശേശാന്നു മിസ്രയീമ്യനായ ഒരു ഭൃത്യന് ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; അവന്നു യര്ഹാ എന്നു പേര്.

33. And the sons of Jonathan [were] Peleth and Zaza. These were the sons of Jerahmeel.

34. ശേശാന് തന്റെ മകളെ തന്റെ ഭൃത്യനായ യര്ഹെക്കു ഭാര്യയായി കൊടുത്തു; അവള് അവന്നു അത്ഥായിയെ പ്രസവിച്ചു.

34. Now Sheshan had no sons, but daughters. And Sheshan had an Egyptian servant, and his name [was] Jarha.

35. അത്ഥായി നാഥാനെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു; നാഥാന് സാബാദിനെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു.

35. And Sheshan gave his daughter to Jarha his servant as wife, and she bore him Attai.

36. സാബാദ് എഫ്ളാലിനെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു;

36. And Attai begot Nathan, and Nathan begot Zabad,

37. എഫ്ളാല് ഔബേദിനെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു; ഔബേദ് യെഹൂവിനെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു; യെഹൂ അസര്യ്യാവെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു;

37. and Zabad begot Ephlal, and Ephlal begot Obed;

38. അസര്യ്യാവു ഹേലെസിനെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു; ഹേലെസ് എലെയാശയെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു;

38. and Obed begot Jehu, and Jehu begot Azariah;

39. എലെയാശാ സിസ്മായിയെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു; സിസ്മായി ശല്ലൂമിനെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു;

39. and Azariah begot Helez, and Helez begot Eleasah,

40. ശല്ലൂം യെക്കമ്യാവെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു; യെക്കമ്യാവു എലീശാമയെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു.

40. and Eleasah begot Sismai, and Sismai begot Shallum,

41. യെരഹ്മയേലിന്റെ സഹോദരനായ കാലേബിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാര്അവന്റെ ആദ്യജാതനും സീഫിന്റെ അപ്പനുമായ മേശാ; ഹെബ്രോന്റെ അപ്പനായ മാരേശയുടെ പുത്രന്മാരും.

41. and Shallum begot Jekamiah, and Jekamiah begot Elishama, and Elishama begot Ishmael.

42. ഹെബ്രോന്റെ പുത്രന്മാര്കോരഹ്, തപ്പൂഹ് രേക്കെം, ശേമാ.

42. And the sons of Caleb the brother of Jerahmeel [were] Mesha his firstborn, he [is] the father of Ziph; and the sons of Mareshah the father of Hebron.

43. ശേമാ യൊര്ക്കെയാമിന്റെ അപ്പനായ രഹമിനെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു; രേക്കെം ശമ്മായിയെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു.

43. And the sons of Hebron [were] Korah, Tappuah, Rekem, and Shema.

44. ശമ്മായിയുടെ മകന് മാവോന് . മാവോന് ബെത്ത്-സൂറിന്റെ അപ്പനായിരുന്നു.

44. And Shema begot Raham the father of Jorkoam: and Jorkoam begot Shammai.

45. കാലേബിന്റെ വെപ്പാട്ടിയായ ഏഫാഹാരാനെയും മോസയെയും ഗാസേസിനെയും പ്രസവിച്ചു; ഹാരാന് ഗാസേസിനെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു.

45. And his son [was] Maon; and Maon [is] the father of Beth Zur.

46. യാദയുടെ പുത്രന്മാര്രേഗെം, യോഥാം, ഗേശാന് , പേലെത്ത്, ഏഫാ, ശയഫ്.

46. And Ephah the concubine of Caleb bore Haran, Moza, and Gazez.

47. കാലേബിന്റെ വെപ്പാട്ടിയായ മയഖാ ശേബെരിനെയും തിര്ഹനയെയും പ്രസവിച്ചു.

47. And the sons of Jahdai [were] Regem, Jotham, Geshan, Pelet, Ephah, and Shaaph.

48. And Caleb's concubine Maachah bore Sheber and Tirhanah.

49. She also bore Shaaph the father of Madmannah, and Sheva the father of Machbenah, and the father of Gibea. And the daughter of Caleb [was] Achsah.

50. ബേത്ത്ളേഹെമിന്റെ അപ്പനായ ശല്മാ, ബേത്ത്-ഗാദേരിന്റെ അപ്പനായ ഹാരേഫ്.

50. These were the sons of Caleb: the sons of Hur the firstborn of Ephrathah [were] Shobal the father of Kirjath Jearim,

51. കിര്യ്യത്ത്-യെയാരീമിന്റെ അപ്പനായ ശോബാലിന്നു പുത്രന്മാര് ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നുഹാരോവേ, മെനൂഹോത്തിന്റെ പാതി.

51. Salma the father of Bethlehem, and Hareph the father of Beth Gader.

52. കിര്യ്യത്ത്-യെയാരീമിന്റെ കുലങ്ങളാവിതുയിത്രീയര്, പൂത്യര്, ശൂമാത്യര്, മിശ്രായര്; ഇവരില്നിന്നു സൊരാത്യരും എസ്താവോല്യരും ഉത്ഭവിച്ചു.

52. And the descendants of Shobal the father of Kirjath Jearim were [the] Haroeh, and the Manuhoth,

53. ശല്മയുടെ പുത്രന്മാര്ബേത്ത്ളേഹെം, നെതോഫാത്യര്, അത്രോത്ത്-ബേത്ത്-യോവാബ്, മാനഹത്യരില് പാതി സൊര്യ്യര്.

53. and the Shumathites, the Aethalim, the Miphithim, the Hesamathim, and the Hemasaraim; from these went forth the Zorathites and the Eshtaolites.

54. യബ്ബേസില് പാര്ത്തു വന്ന ശാസ്ത്രജ്ഞന്മാരുടെ കുലങ്ങളാവിതുതിരാത്യര്, ശിമെയാത്യര്, സൂഖാത്യര്; ഇവര് രേഖാബ് ഗൃഹത്തിന്റെ അപ്പനായ ഹമാത്തില്നിന്നുത്ഭവിച്ച കേന്യരാകുന്നു.

54. The sons of Salma [were] Bethlehem, the Netophathites, Atroth Beth Joab, and half of the family of Malathi, Esari.
