1. ദുഷ്പ്രവൃത്തിക്കാരുടെ നിമിത്തം നീ മുഷിയരുതു; നീതികേടു ചെയ്യുന്നവരോടു അസൂയപ്പെടുകയുമരുതു.

1. i1 [A Psalm of David.] i0 par Do not fret yourself over evil doers, nor be envious of the workers of iniquity.

2. അവര് പുല്ലുപോലെ വേഗത്തില് ഉണങ്ങി പച്ചച്ചെടിപോലെ വാടിപ്പോകുന്നു.

2. For they shall soon be cut down like the grass; and wither as the green herb.

3. യഹോവയില് ആശ്രയിച്ചു നന്മചെയ്ക; ദേശത്തു പാര്ത്തു വിശ്വസ്തത ആചരിക്ക. യഹോവയില് തന്നേ രസിച്ചുകൊള്ക; അവന് നിന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തിലെ ആഗ്രഹങ്ങളെ നിനക്കു തരും.

3. Trust in Jehovah, and do good; dwell in the land, and feed on faithfulness.

4. നിന്റെ വഴി യഹോവയെ ഭരമേല്പിക്ക; അവനില് തന്നേ ആശ്രയിക്ക; അവന് അതു നിര്വ്വഹിക്കും.

4. Delight yourself also in Jehovah, and He shall give you the desires of your heart.

5. അവന് നിന്റെ നീതിയെ പ്രഭാതംപോലെയും നിന്റെ ന്യായത്തെ മദ്ധ്യാഹ്നംപോലെയും പ്രകാശിപ്പിക്കും.

5. Roll your ways upon Jehovah; trust also in Him, and He will bring it to pass.

6. യഹോവയുടെ മുമ്പാകെ മിണ്ടാതെയിരുന്നു അവന്നായി പ്രത്യാശിക്ക; കാര്യസാധ്യം പ്രാപിക്കുന്നവനെയും ദുരുപായം പ്രയോഗിക്കുന്നവനെയും കുറിച്ചു നീ മുഷിയരുതു.

6. And He will bring forth your righteousness like the light, and your justice like the noonday.

7. കോപം കളഞ്ഞു ക്രോധം ഉപേക്ഷിക്ക; മുഷിഞ്ഞു പോകരുതു; അതു ദോഷത്തിന്നു ഹേതുവാകേയുള്ളു.

7. Rest in Jehovah, and wait patiently for Him; do not fret over him who prospers in his way, because of him who works out wicked devices.

8. ദുഷ്പ്രവൃത്തിക്കാര് ഛേദിക്കപ്പെടും; യഹോവയെ പ്രത്യാശിക്കുന്നവരോ ഭൂമിയെ കൈവശമാക്കും.

8. Cease from anger, and forsake wrath; do not fret; it only leads to evil.

9. കുറഞ്ഞോന്നു കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടു ദുഷ്ടന് ഇല്ല; നീ അവന്റെ ഇടം സൂക്ഷിച്ചുനോക്കും; അവനെ കാണുകയില്ല.

9. For evildoers shall be cut off; but those who wait upon Jehovah, they shall inherit the earth.

10. എന്നാല് സൌമ്യതയുള്ളവര് ഭൂമിയെ കൈവശമാക്കും; സമാധാനസമൃദ്ധിയില് അവര് ആനന്ദിക്കും.

10. For yet a little while, and the wicked shall be no more; indeed, you shall diligently consider his place, and it shall be no more.

11. ദുഷ്ടന് നീതിമാന്നു ദോഷം നിരൂപിക്കുന്നു; അവന്റെ നേരെ അവന് പല്ലു കടിക്കുന്നു.

11. But the lowly shall inherit the earth, and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.

12. കര്ത്താവു അവനെ നോക്കി ചിരിക്കും; അവന്റെ ദിവസം വരുന്നു എന്നു അവന് കാണുന്നു. എളിയവനെയും ദരിദ്രനെയും വീഴിപ്പാനും സന്മാര്ഗ്ഗികളെ കൊല്ലുവാനും ദുഷ്ടന്മാര് വാളൂരി വില്ലു കുലെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

12. The wicked plots against the just, and gnashes at him with his teeth.

13. അവരുടെ വാള് അവരുടെ ഹൃദയത്തില് തന്നേ കടക്കും; അവരുടെ വില്ലുകള് ഒടിഞ്ഞുപോകും.

13. Jehovah laughs at him, for He sees that his day is coming.

14. അനേകദുഷ്ടന്മാര്ക്കുംള്ള സമൃദ്ധിയെക്കാള് നീതിമാന്നുള്ള അല്പം ഏറ്റവും നല്ലതു.

14. The wicked have drawn out the sword and have bent their bow, to cast down the poor and needy, to slaughter those who walk uprightly.

15. ദുഷ്ടന്മാരുടെ ഭുജങ്ങള് ഒടിഞ്ഞുപോകും; എന്നാല് നീതിമാന്മാരെ യഹോവ താങ്ങും.

15. Their sword shall enter into their own heart, and their bows shall be broken.

16. യഹോവ നിഷ്കളങ്കന്മാരുടെ നാളുകളെ അറിയുന്നു; അവരുടെ അവകാശം ശാശ്വതമായിരിക്കും.

16. A little that the righteous has is better than the riches of many wicked.

17. ദുഷ്കാലത്തു അവര് ലജ്ജിച്ചു പോകയില്ല; ക്ഷാമകാലത്തു അവര് തൃപ്തരായിരിക്കും,

17. For the arms of the wicked shall be broken, but Jehovah upholds the righteous.

18. എന്നാല് ദുഷ്ടന്മാര് നശിച്ചുപോകും; യഹോവയുടെ ശത്രുക്കള് പുല്പുറത്തിന്റെ ഭംഗിപോലേയുള്ളു; അവര് ക്ഷയിച്ചുപോകും; പുകപോലെ ക്ഷയിച്ചുപോകും.

18. Jehovah knows the days of the upright, and their inheritance shall be forever.

19. ദുഷ്ടന് വായ്പ വാങ്ങുന്നു തിരികെ കൊടുക്കുന്നില്ല; നീതിമാനോ കൃപാലുവായി ദാനം ചെയ്യുന്നു.

19. They shall not be ashamed in the evil time, and in the days of famine they shall be satisfied.

20. അവനാല് അനുഗ്രഹിക്കപ്പെട്ടവര് ഭൂമിയെ കൈവശമാക്കും. അവനാല് ശപിക്കപ്പെട്ടവരോ ഛേദിക്കപ്പെടും.

20. But the wicked shall perish, and the enemies of Jehovah shall be as prized lambs; they are consumed; like smoke they vanish.

21. ഒരു മനുഷ്യന്റെ വഴിയില് പ്രസാദം തോന്നിയാല് യഹോവ അവന്റെ ഗമനം സ്ഥിരമാക്കുന്നു.

21. The wicked borrows and does not repay, but the righteous shows mercy and gives.

22. അവന് വീണാലും നിലംപരിചാകയില്ല; യഹോവ അവനെ കൈ പിടിച്ചു താങ്ങുന്നു.

22. For those blessed by Him shall inherit the earth, and those cursed by Him shall be cut off.

23. ഞാന് ബാലനായിരുന്നു, വൃദ്ധനായിത്തീര്ന്നു; നീതിമാന് തുണയില്ലാതിരിക്കുന്നതും അവന്റെ സന്തതി ആഹാരം ഇരക്കുന്നതും ഞാന് കണ്ടിട്ടില്ല.

23. The steps of a good man are ordered by Jehovah, and he delights in His way.

24. അവന് നിത്യം കൃപാലുവായി വായ്പ കൊടുക്കുന്നു; അവന്റെ സന്തതി അനുഗ്രഹിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു.

24. Though he fall, he shall not be cast down, for Jehovah upholds his hand.

25. ദോഷം വിട്ടൊഴിഞ്ഞു ഗുണം ചെയ്ക; എന്നാല് നീ സദാകാലം സുഖമായി വസിക്കും.

25. I have been young, and now am old; yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.

26. യഹോവ ന്യായപ്രിയനാകുന്നു; തന്റെ വിശുദ്ധന്മാരെ ഉപേക്ഷിക്കുന്നതുമില്ല; അവര് എന്നേക്കും പരിപാലിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു; ദുഷ്ടന്മാരുടെ സന്തതിയോ ഛേദിക്കപ്പെടും.

26. All day long he is gracious and lends, and his seed is blessed.

27. നീതിമാന്മാര് ഭൂമിയെ അവകാശമാക്കി എന്നേക്കും അതില് വസിക്കും;

27. Depart from evil and do good, and live forevermore.

28. നീതിമാന്റെ വായ് ജ്ഞാനം പ്രസ്താവിക്കുന്നു; അവന്റെ നാവു ന്യായം സംസാരിക്കുന്നു.

28. For Jehovah loves justice and does not forsake His Godly ones; they are preserved forever; but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off.

29. തന്റെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ന്യായപ്രമാണം അവന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തില് ഉണ്ടു; അവന്റെ കാലടികള് വഴുതുകയില്ല.

29. The righteous shall inherit the earth, and dwell in it forever.

30. ദുഷ്ടന് നീതിമാന്നായി പതിയിരുന്നു, അവനെ കൊല്ലുവാന് നോക്കുന്നു.

30. The mouth of the righteous speaks wisdom, and his tongue talks of justice.

31. യഹോവ അവനെ അവന്റെ കയ്യില് വിട്ടുകൊടുക്കയില്ല; ന്യായവിസ്താരത്തില് അവനെ കുറ്റംവിധിക്കയുമില്ല.

31. The Law of his God is in his heart; none of his steps shall slide.

32. യഹോവെക്കായി പ്രത്യാശിച്ചു അവന്റെ വഴി പ്രമാണിച്ചു നടക്ക; എന്നാല് ഭൂമിയെ അവകാശമാക്കുവാന് അവന് നിന്നെ ഉയര്ത്തും; ദുഷ്ടന്മാര് ഛേദിക്കപ്പെടുന്നതു നീ കാണും.

32. The wicked watches the righteous, and seeks to kill him.

33. ദുഷ്ടന് പ്രബലനായിരിക്കുന്നതും; സ്വദേശികമായ പച്ചവൃക്ഷംപോലെ തഴെക്കുന്നതും ഞാന് കണ്ടിട്ടുണ്ടു.

33. Jehovah will not abandon him in his hand, nor allow him to be found guilty when he is judged.

34. ഞാന് പിന്നെ അതിലെ പോയപ്പോള് അവന് ഇല്ല; ഞാന് അന്വേഷിച്ചു, അവനെ കണ്ടതുമില്ല.

34. Wait upon Jehovah and keep His way, and He will lift you up to inherit the earth; when the wicked are cut off, you shall see it.

35. നിഷ്കളങ്കനെ കുറിക്കൊള്ളുക; നേരുള്ളവനെ നോക്കിക്കൊള്ക; സമാധാനപുരുഷന്നു സന്തതി ഉണ്ടാകും.

35. I have seen the wicked, ruthless, and spreading himself like a luxuriant native tree.

36. എന്നാല് അതിക്രമക്കാര് ഒരുപോലെ മുടിഞ്ഞുപോകും; ദുഷ്ടന്മാരുടെ സന്താനം ഛേദിക്കപ്പെടും.

36. Yet he passed away, and lo, he was no more; indeed, I sought for him, but he could not be found.

37. നീതിമാന്മാരുടെ രക്ഷ യഹോവയിങ്കല്നിന്നു വരുന്നു; കഷ്ടകാലത്തു അവന് അവരുടെ ദുര്ഗ്ഗം ആകുന്നു.

37. Observe the perfect and consider the upright one; for the latter time of that man is peace.

38. യഹോവ അവരെ സഹായിച്ചു വിടുവിക്കുന്നു; അവര് അവനില് ആശ്രയിക്കകൊണ്ടു അവന് അവരെ ദുഷ്ടന്മാരുടെ കയ്യില്നിന്നു വിടുവിച്ചു രക്ഷിക്കുന്നു.

38. But the transgressors shall be destroyed together; the end of the wicked shall be cut off.
