1. എന്റെ മേച്ചല്പുറത്തെ ആടുകളെ നശിപ്പിക്കയും ചിതറിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്ന ഇടയന്മാര്ക്കും അയ്യോ കഷ്ടം എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

1. This is what the LORD said to me: 'Go over and speak directly to the king of Judah. Say to him,

2. അതുകൊണ്ടു, തന്റെ ജനത്തെ മേയിക്കുന്ന ഇടയന്മാരെക്കുറിച്ചു യസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുനിങ്ങള് എന്റെ ആട്ടിന് കൂട്ടത്തെ സൂക്ഷിക്കാതെ അവയെ ചിതറിച്ചുഔടിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു; ഇതാ ഞാന് നിങ്ങളുടെ പ്രവൃത്തികളുടെ ദോഷത്തെക്കുറിച്ചു നിങ്ങളോടു ചോദിക്കും എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

2. 'Listen to this message from the LORD, you king of Judah, sitting on David's throne. Let your attendants and your people listen, too.

3. എന്റെ ആട്ടിന് കൂട്ടത്തില് ശേഷിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നവയെ ഞാന് അവയെ നീക്കിക്കളഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്ന സകലദേശങ്ങളില്നിന്നും ശേഖരിച്ചു അവയുടെ പുല്പുറങ്ങളിലേക്കു വീണ്ടും കൊണ്ടുവരും; അവ വര്ദ്ധിച്ചു പെരുകും.

3. This is what the LORD says: Be fair-minded and just. Do what is right! Help those who have been robbed; rescue them from their oppressors. Quit your evil deeds! Do not mistreat foreigners, orphans, and widows. Stop murdering the innocent!

4. അവയെ മേയിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഞാന് ഇടയന്മാരെ നിയമിക്കും; അവ ഇനി പേടിക്കയില്ല, ഭ്രമിക്കയില്ല, കാണാതെപോകയുമില്ല എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

4. If you obey me, there will always be a descendant of David sitting on the throne here in Jerusalem. The king will ride through the palace gates in chariots and on horses, with his parade of attendants and subjects.

5. ഞാന് ദാവീദിന്നു നീതിയുള്ളോരു മുളയായവനെ ഉത്ഭവിപ്പിക്കുന്ന കാലം വരും; അവന് രാജാവായി വാണു ബുദ്ധിയോടെ പ്രവര്ത്തിച്ചു ദേശത്തു നീതിയും ന്യായവും നടത്തും.

5. But if you refuse to pay attention to this warning, I swear by my own name, says the LORD, that this palace will become a pile of rubble.''

6. അവന്റെ കാലത്തു യെഹൂദാ രക്ഷിക്കപ്പെടും; യിസ്രായേല് നിര്ഭയമായി വസിക്കും; അവന്നു യഹോവ നമ്മുടെ നീതി എന്നു പേര് പറയും എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

6. Now this is what the LORD says concerning Judah's royal palace: 'I love you as much as fruitful Gilead and the green forests of Lebanon. But I will turn you into a desert, with no one living within your walls.

7. ആകയാല് യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളെ മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തുനിന്നു കൊണ്ടുവന്ന യഹോവയാണ എന്നു ഇനി പറയാതെ,

7. I will call for wreckers, who will bring out their tools to dismantle you. They will tear out all your fine cedar beams and throw them on the fire.

8. യിസ്രായേല് ഗൃഹത്തിന്റെ സന്തതിയെ വടക്കുദേശത്തുനിന്നും ഞാന് അവരെ നീക്കിക്കളഞ്ഞിരുന്ന സകലദേശങ്ങളില്നിന്നും പുറപ്പെടുവിച്ചു കൊണ്ടുവന്ന യഹോവയാണ എന്നു പറയുന്ന കാലം വരും; അവര് തങ്ങളുടെ സ്വന്തദേശത്തു വസിക്കും എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

8. 'People from many nations will pass by the ruins of this city and say to one another, 'Why did the LORD destroy such a great city?'

9. പ്രവാചകന്മാരെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള അരുളപ്പാടുഎന്റെ ഹൃദയം എന്റെ ഉള്ളില് നുറുങ്ങിയിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ അസ്ഥികള് ഒക്കെയും ഇളകുന്നു; യഹോവ നിമിത്തവും അവന്റെ വിശുദ്ധവചനങ്ങള് നിമിത്തവും ഞാന് , മത്തനായിരിക്കുന്നവനെപ്പോലെയും വീഞ്ഞു കുടിച്ചു ലഹരിപിടിച്ചവനെപ്പോലെയും ആയിരിക്കുന്നു.

9. And the answer will be, 'Because they violated their covenant with the LORD their God by worshiping other gods.''

10. ദേശം വ്യഭിചാരികളെക്കൊണ്ടു നിറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു; ശാപം നിമിത്തം ദേശം ദുഃഖിക്കുന്നു; മരുഭൂമിയിലെ മേച്ചല്പുറങ്ങള് ഉണങ്ങിപ്പോയിരിക്കുന്നു; അവരുടെ ഔട്ടം ദോഷമുള്ളതും അവരുടെ ബലം നേരുകെട്ടതും ആകുന്നു.

10. Do not weep for the dead king or mourn his loss. Instead, weep for the captive king being led away! For he will never return to see his native land again.

11. പ്രവാചകനും പുരോഹിതനും ഒരുപോലെ വഷളന്മാരായിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ ആലയത്തിലും ഞാന് അവരുടെ ദുഷ്ടത കാണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

11. For this is what the LORD says about Jehoahaz, who succeeded his father, King Josiah, and was taken away as a captive: 'He will never return.

12. അതുകൊണ്ടു അവരുടെ വഴി അവര്ക്കും ഇരുട്ടത്തു വഴുവഴുപ്പു ആയിരിക്കും; അവര് അതില് കാല്തെറ്റി വീഴും; ഞാന് അവര്ക്കും അനര്ത്ഥം, അവരുടെ സന്ദര്ശനകാലം തന്നേ, വരുത്തും എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

12. He will die in a distant land and will never again see his own country.'

13. ശമര്യ്യയിലെ പ്രവാചകന്മാരില് ഞാന് ഭോഷത്വം കണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു; അവര് ബാലിന്റെ നാമത്തില് പ്രവചിച്ചു എന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേലിനെ തെറ്റിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞു.

13. And the LORD says, 'What sorrow awaits Jehoiakim, who builds his palace with forced labor. He builds injustice into its walls, for he makes his neighbors work for nothing. He does not pay them for their labor.

14. യെരൂശലേമിലെ പ്രവാചകന്മാരിലോ ഞാന് അതിഭയങ്കരമായുള്ളതു കണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു; അവര് വ്യഭിചാരം ചെയ്തു വ്യാജത്തില് നടക്കുന്നു; ആരും തന്റെ ദുഷ്ടത വിട്ടുതിരിയാതവണ്ണം അവര് ദുഷ്പ്രവൃത്തിക്കാരെ ധൈര്യപ്പെടുത്തുന്നു; അവരെല്ലാവരും എനിക്കു സൊദോംപോലെയും, അതിലെ നിവാസികള് ഗൊമോറ പോലെയും ഇരിക്കുന്നു.

14. He says, 'I will build a magnificent palace with huge rooms and many windows. I will panel it throughout with fragrant cedar and paint it a lovely red.'

15. അതുകൊണ്ടു സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ പ്രവാചകന്മാരെക്കുറിച്ചു ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുഞാന് അവരെ കാഞ്ഞിരം തീറ്റി നഞ്ചുവെള്ളം കുടിപ്പിക്കും; യെരൂശലേമിലെ പ്രവാചകന്മാരില്നിന്നല്ലോ വഷളത്വം ദേശത്തെല്ലാടവും പരന്നിരിക്കുന്നതു.

15. But a beautiful cedar palace does not make a great king! Your father, Josiah, also had plenty to eat and drink. But he was just and right in all his dealings. That is why God blessed him.

16. സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുനിങ്ങളോടു പ്രവചിക്കുന്ന പ്രവാചകന്മാരുടെ വാക്കു കേള്ക്കരുതു; അവര് നിങ്ങളെ വ്യാജം ഉപദേശിക്കുന്നു; യഹോവയുടെ വായില്നിന്നുള്ളതല്ല സ്വന്തഹൃദയത്തിലെ ദര്ശനമത്രേ അവര് പ്രവചിക്കുന്നതു.

16. He gave justice and help to the poor and needy, and everything went well for him. Isn't that what it means to know me?' says the LORD.

17. എന്നെ നിരസിക്കുന്നവരോടു അവര്നിങ്ങള്ക്കു സമാധാനം ഉണ്ടാകും എന്നു യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറയുന്നു; തങ്ങളുടെ ഹൃദയത്തിലെ ശാഠ്യപ്രകാരം നടക്കുന്നവരോടൊക്കെയുംനിങ്ങള്ക്കു ഒരു ദോഷവും വരികയില്ല എന്നും പറയുന്നു.

17. 'But you! You have eyes only for greed and dishonesty! You murder the innocent, oppress the poor, and reign ruthlessly.'

18. യഹോവയുടെ വചനം ദര്ശിച്ചുകേള്പ്പാന് തക്കവണ്ണം അവന്റെ ആലോചനസഭയില് നിന്നവന് ആര്? അവന്റെ വചനം ശ്രദ്ധിച്ചുകേട്ടിരിക്കുന്നവന് ആര്?

18. Therefore, this is what the LORD says about Jehoiakim, son of King Josiah: 'The people will not mourn for him, crying to one another, 'Alas, my brother! Alas, my sister!' His subjects will not mourn for him, crying, 'Alas, our master is dead! Alas, his splendor is gone!'

19. യഹോവയുടെ ക്രോധം എന്ന കൊടുങ്കാറ്റു, വലിയ ചുഴലിക്കാറ്റുതന്നേ, പുറപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു; അതു ദുഷ്ടന്മാരുടെ തലമേല് ചുറ്റിയടിക്കും.

19. He will be buried like a dead donkey-- dragged out of Jerusalem and dumped outside the gates!

20. തന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തിലെ ഉദ്ദേശങ്ങളെ നടത്തിത്തീരുവോളം യഹോവയുടെ കോപം മാറുകയില്ല; ഭാവികാലത്തു നിങ്ങള് അതിനെ പൂര്ണ്ണമായി ഗ്രഹിക്കും.

20. Weep for your allies in Lebanon. Shout for them in Bashan. Search for them in the regions east of the river. See, they are all destroyed. Not one is left to help you.

21. ഞാന് ഈ പ്രവാചകന്മാരെ അയക്കാതിരുന്നിട്ടും അവര് ഔടി; ഞാന് അവരോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്യാതിരുന്നിട്ടും അവര് പ്രവചിച്ചു.

21. I warned you when you were prosperous, but you replied, 'Don't bother me.' You have been that way since childhood-- you simply will not obey me!

22. അവര് എന്റെ ആലോചനസഭയില് നിന്നിരുന്നുവെങ്കില്, എന്റെ വചനങ്ങളെ എന്റെ ജനത്തെ കേള്പ്പിച്ചു അവരെ അവരുടെ ആകാത്തവഴിയില്നിന്നും അവരുടെ പ്രവൃത്തികളുടെ ദോഷത്തില്നിന്നും തിരിപ്പിക്കുമായിരുന്നു.

22. And now the wind will blow away your allies. All your friends will be taken away as captives. Surely then you will see your wickedness and be ashamed.

23. ഞാന് സമീപസ്ഥനായ ദൈവം മാത്രം ആകുന്നുവോ? ദൂരസ്ഥനായ ദൈവവുമല്ലയോ? എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

23. It may be nice to live in a beautiful palace paneled with wood from the cedars of Lebanon, but soon you will groan with pangs of anguish-- anguish like that of a woman in labor.

24. ഞാന് കാണാതവണ്ണം ആര്ക്കെങ്കിലും മറയത്തു ഒളിപ്പാന് കഴിയുമോ? എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു; ഞാന് ആകാശവും ഭൂമിയും നിറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നവനല്ലയോ എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

24. 'As surely as I live,' says the LORD, 'I will abandon you, Jehoiachin son of Jehoiakim, king of Judah. Even if you were the signet ring on my right hand, I would pull you off.

25. ഞാന് സ്വപ്നം കണ്ടു, സ്വപ്നം കണ്ടു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു എന്റെ നാമത്തില് ഭോഷകു പ്രവചിക്കുന്ന പ്രവാചകന്മാരുടെ വാക്കു ഞാന് കേട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.

25. I will hand you over to those who seek to kill you, those you so desperately fear-- to King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon and the mighty Babylonian army.

26. സ്വന്തഹൃദയത്തിലെ വഞ്ചനയുടെ പ്രവാചകന്മാരായി ഭോഷകു പ്രവചിക്കുന്ന പ്രവാചകന്മാര്ക്കും ഈ താല്പര്യം എത്രത്തോളം ഉണ്ടായിരിക്കും?

26. I will expel you and your mother from this land, and you will die in a foreign country, not in your native land.

27. അവരുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാര് ബാല് നിമിത്തം എന്റെ നാമം മറന്നുകളഞ്ഞതുപോലെ ഇവര് അന്യോന്യം വിവരിച്ചു പറയുന്ന സ്വപ്നങ്ങള്കൊണ്ടു എന്റെ ജനം എന്റെ നാമം മറന്നുകളയേണ്ടതിന്നു ഇടവരുത്തുവാന് വിചാരിക്കുന്നു.

27. You will never again return to the land you yearn for.

28. സ്വപ്നംകണ്ട പ്രവാചകന് സ്വപ്നം വിവരിക്കട്ടെ; എന്റെ വചനം ലഭിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നവന് എന്റെ വചനം വിശ്വസ്തതയോടെ പ്രസ്താവിക്കട്ടെ; വൈക്കോലും കോതമ്പും തമ്മില് ഒക്കുമോ എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

28. 'Why is this man Jehoiachin like a discarded, broken jar? Why are he and his children to be exiled to a foreign land?

29. എന്റെ വചനം തീ പോലെയും പാറയെ തകര്ക്കുംന്ന ചുറ്റികപോലെയും അല്ലയോ എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

29. O earth, earth, earth! Listen to this message from the LORD!

30. അതുകൊണ്ടു ഒരുത്തനോടു ഒരുത്തന് എന്റെ വചനങ്ങളെ മോഷ്ടിക്കുന്ന പ്രവാചകന്മാര്ക്കും ഞാന് വിരോധമാകുന്നു എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

30. This is what the LORD says: 'Let the record show that this man Jehoiachin was childless. He is a failure, for none of his children will succeed him on the throne of David to rule over Judah.'
