1. എന്റെ മേച്ചല്പുറത്തെ ആടുകളെ നശിപ്പിക്കയും ചിതറിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്ന ഇടയന്മാര്ക്കും അയ്യോ കഷ്ടം എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

1. GOD's orders: 'Go to the royal palace and deliver this Message.

2. അതുകൊണ്ടു, തന്റെ ജനത്തെ മേയിക്കുന്ന ഇടയന്മാരെക്കുറിച്ചു യസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുനിങ്ങള് എന്റെ ആട്ടിന് കൂട്ടത്തെ സൂക്ഷിക്കാതെ അവയെ ചിതറിച്ചുഔടിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു; ഇതാ ഞാന് നിങ്ങളുടെ പ്രവൃത്തികളുടെ ദോഷത്തെക്കുറിച്ചു നിങ്ങളോടു ചോദിക്കും എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

2. Say, 'Listen to what GOD says, O King of Judah, you who sit on David's throne--you and your officials and all the people who go in and out of these palace gates.

3. This is GOD's Message: Attend to matters of justice. Set things right between people. Rescue victims from their exploiters. Don't take advantage of the homeless, the orphans, the widows. Stop the murdering!

4. അവയെ മേയിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഞാന് ഇടയന്മാരെ നിയമിക്കും; അവ ഇനി പേടിക്കയില്ല, ഭ്രമിക്കയില്ല, കാണാതെപോകയുമില്ല എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

4. ''If you obey these commands, then kings who follow in the line of David will continue to go in and out of these palace gates mounted on horses and riding in chariots--they and their officials and the citizens of Judah.

5. ഞാന് ദാവീദിന്നു നീതിയുള്ളോരു മുളയായവനെ ഉത്ഭവിപ്പിക്കുന്ന കാലം വരും; അവന് രാജാവായി വാണു ബുദ്ധിയോടെ പ്രവര്ത്തിച്ചു ദേശത്തു നീതിയും ന്യായവും നടത്തും.

5. But if you don't obey these commands, then I swear--GOD's Decree!--this palace will end up a heap of rubble.''

6. This is GOD's verdict on Judah's royal palace: 'I number you among my favorite places-- like the lovely hills of Gilead, like the soaring peaks of Lebanon. Yet I swear I'll turn you into a wasteland, as empty as a ghost town.

7. ആകയാല് യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളെ മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തുനിന്നു കൊണ്ടുവന്ന യഹോവയാണ എന്നു ഇനി പറയാതെ,

7. I'll hire a demolition crew, well-equipped with sledgehammers and wrecking bars, Pound the country to a pulp and burn it all up.

8. യിസ്രായേല് ഗൃഹത്തിന്റെ സന്തതിയെ വടക്കുദേശത്തുനിന്നും ഞാന് അവരെ നീക്കിക്കളഞ്ഞിരുന്ന സകലദേശങ്ങളില്നിന്നും പുറപ്പെടുവിച്ചു കൊണ്ടുവന്ന യഹോവയാണ എന്നു പറയുന്ന കാലം വരും; അവര് തങ്ങളുടെ സ്വന്തദേശത്തു വസിക്കും എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

8. 'Travelers from all over will come through here and say to one another, 'Why would GOD do such a thing to this wonderful city?'

9. പ്രവാചകന്മാരെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള അരുളപ്പാടുഎന്റെ ഹൃദയം എന്റെ ഉള്ളില് നുറുങ്ങിയിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ അസ്ഥികള് ഒക്കെയും ഇളകുന്നു; യഹോവ നിമിത്തവും അവന്റെ വിശുദ്ധവചനങ്ങള് നിമിത്തവും ഞാന് , മത്തനായിരിക്കുന്നവനെപ്പോലെയും വീഞ്ഞു കുടിച്ചു ലഹരിപിടിച്ചവനെപ്പോലെയും ആയിരിക്കുന്നു.

9. They'll be told, 'Because they walked out on the covenant of their GOD, took up with other gods and worshiped them.''

10. ദേശം വ്യഭിചാരികളെക്കൊണ്ടു നിറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു; ശാപം നിമിത്തം ദേശം ദുഃഖിക്കുന്നു; മരുഭൂമിയിലെ മേച്ചല്പുറങ്ങള് ഉണങ്ങിപ്പോയിരിക്കുന്നു; അവരുടെ ഔട്ടം ദോഷമുള്ളതും അവരുടെ ബലം നേരുകെട്ടതും ആകുന്നു.

10. Don't weep over dead King Josiah. Don't waste your tears. Weep for his exiled son: He's gone for good. He'll never see home again.

11. പ്രവാചകനും പുരോഹിതനും ഒരുപോലെ വഷളന്മാരായിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ ആലയത്തിലും ഞാന് അവരുടെ ദുഷ്ടത കാണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

11. For this is GOD's Word on Shallum son of Josiah, who succeeded his father as king of Judah: 'He's gone from here, gone for good.

12. അതുകൊണ്ടു അവരുടെ വഴി അവര്ക്കും ഇരുട്ടത്തു വഴുവഴുപ്പു ആയിരിക്കും; അവര് അതില് കാല്തെറ്റി വീഴും; ഞാന് അവര്ക്കും അനര്ത്ഥം, അവരുടെ സന്ദര്ശനകാലം തന്നേ, വരുത്തും എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

12. He'll die in the place they've taken him to. He'll never see home again.'

13. ശമര്യ്യയിലെ പ്രവാചകന്മാരില് ഞാന് ഭോഷത്വം കണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു; അവര് ബാലിന്റെ നാമത്തില് പ്രവചിച്ചു എന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേലിനെ തെറ്റിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞു.

13. 'Doom to him who builds palaces but bullies people, who makes a fine house but destroys lives, Who cheats his workers and won't pay them for their work,

14. Who says, 'I'll build me an elaborate mansion with spacious rooms and fancy windows. I'll bring in rare and expensive woods and the latest in interior decor.'

15. So, that makes you a king-- living in a fancy palace? Your father got along just fine, didn't he? He did what was right and treated people fairly, And things went well with him.

16. സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുനിങ്ങളോടു പ്രവചിക്കുന്ന പ്രവാചകന്മാരുടെ വാക്കു കേള്ക്കരുതു; അവര് നിങ്ങളെ വ്യാജം ഉപദേശിക്കുന്നു; യഹോവയുടെ വായില്നിന്നുള്ളതല്ല സ്വന്തഹൃദയത്തിലെ ദര്ശനമത്രേ അവര് പ്രവചിക്കുന്നതു.

16. He stuck up for the down-and-out, And things went well for Judah. Isn't this what it means to know me?' GOD's Decree!

17. എന്നെ നിരസിക്കുന്നവരോടു അവര്നിങ്ങള്ക്കു സമാധാനം ഉണ്ടാകും എന്നു യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറയുന്നു; തങ്ങളുടെ ഹൃദയത്തിലെ ശാഠ്യപ്രകാരം നടക്കുന്നവരോടൊക്കെയുംനിങ്ങള്ക്കു ഒരു ദോഷവും വരികയില്ല എന്നും പറയുന്നു.

17. 'But you're blind and brainless. All you think about is yourself, Taking advantage of the weak, bulldozing your way, bullying victims.'

18. യഹോവയുടെ വചനം ദര്ശിച്ചുകേള്പ്പാന് തക്കവണ്ണം അവന്റെ ആലോചനസഭയില് നിന്നവന് ആര്? അവന്റെ വചനം ശ്രദ്ധിച്ചുകേട്ടിരിക്കുന്നവന് ആര്?

18. This is God's epitaph on Jehoiakim son of Josiah king of Judah: 'Doom to this man! Nobody will shed tears over him, 'Poor, poor brother!' Nobody will shed tears over him, 'Poor, poor master!'

19. യഹോവയുടെ ക്രോധം എന്ന കൊടുങ്കാറ്റു, വലിയ ചുഴലിക്കാറ്റുതന്നേ, പുറപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു; അതു ദുഷ്ടന്മാരുടെ തലമേല് ചുറ്റിയടിക്കും.

19. They'll give him a donkey's funeral, drag him out of the city and dump him.

20. തന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തിലെ ഉദ്ദേശങ്ങളെ നടത്തിത്തീരുവോളം യഹോവയുടെ കോപം മാറുകയില്ല; ഭാവികാലത്തു നിങ്ങള് അതിനെ പൂര്ണ്ണമായി ഗ്രഹിക്കും.

20. 'People of Jerusalem, climb a Lebanon peak and weep, climb a Bashan mountain and wail, Climb the Abarim ridge and cry-- you've made a total mess of your life.

21. ഞാന് ഈ പ്രവാചകന്മാരെ അയക്കാതിരുന്നിട്ടും അവര് ഔടി; ഞാന് അവരോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്യാതിരുന്നിട്ടും അവര് പ്രവചിച്ചു.

21. I spoke to you when everything was going your way. You said, 'I'm not interested.' You've been that way as long as I've known you, never listened to a thing I said.

22. അവര് എന്റെ ആലോചനസഭയില് നിന്നിരുന്നുവെങ്കില്, എന്റെ വചനങ്ങളെ എന്റെ ജനത്തെ കേള്പ്പിച്ചു അവരെ അവരുടെ ആകാത്തവഴിയില്നിന്നും അവരുടെ പ്രവൃത്തികളുടെ ദോഷത്തില്നിന്നും തിരിപ്പിക്കുമായിരുന്നു.

22. All your leaders will be blown away, all your friends end up in exile, And you'll find yourself in the gutter, disgraced by your evil life.

23. ഞാന് സമീപസ്ഥനായ ദൈവം മാത്രം ആകുന്നുവോ? ദൂരസ്ഥനായ ദൈവവുമല്ലയോ? എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

23. You big-city people thought you were so important, thought you were 'king of the mountain'! You're soon going to be doubled up in pain, pain worse than the pangs of childbirth.

24. ഞാന് കാണാതവണ്ണം ആര്ക്കെങ്കിലും മറയത്തു ഒളിപ്പാന് കഴിയുമോ? എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു; ഞാന് ആകാശവും ഭൂമിയും നിറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നവനല്ലയോ എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

24. 'As sure as I am the living God'--GOD's Decree--'even if you, Jehoiachin son of Jehoiakim king of Judah, were the signet ring on my right hand, I'd pull you off

25. ഞാന് സ്വപ്നം കണ്ടു, സ്വപ്നം കണ്ടു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു എന്റെ നാമത്തില് ഭോഷകു പ്രവചിക്കുന്ന പ്രവാചകന്മാരുടെ വാക്കു ഞാന് കേട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.

25. and give you to those who are out to kill you, to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon and the Chaldeans,

26. സ്വന്തഹൃദയത്തിലെ വഞ്ചനയുടെ പ്രവാചകന്മാരായി ഭോഷകു പ്രവചിക്കുന്ന പ്രവാചകന്മാര്ക്കും ഈ താല്പര്യം എത്രത്തോളം ഉണ്ടായിരിക്കും?

26. and then throw you, both you and your mother, into a foreign country, far from your place of birth. There you'll both die.

27. അവരുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാര് ബാല് നിമിത്തം എന്റെ നാമം മറന്നുകളഞ്ഞതുപോലെ ഇവര് അന്യോന്യം വിവരിച്ചു പറയുന്ന സ്വപ്നങ്ങള്കൊണ്ടു എന്റെ ജനം എന്റെ നാമം മറന്നുകളയേണ്ടതിന്നു ഇടവരുത്തുവാന് വിചാരിക്കുന്നു.

27. 'You'll be homesick, desperately homesick, but you'll never get home again.'

28. സ്വപ്നംകണ്ട പ്രവാചകന് സ്വപ്നം വിവരിക്കട്ടെ; എന്റെ വചനം ലഭിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നവന് എന്റെ വചനം വിശ്വസ്തതയോടെ പ്രസ്താവിക്കട്ടെ; വൈക്കോലും കോതമ്പും തമ്മില് ഒക്കുമോ എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

28. Is Jehoiachin a leaky bucket, a rusted-out pail good for nothing? Why else would he be thrown away, he and his children, thrown away to a foreign place?

29. എന്റെ വചനം തീ പോലെയും പാറയെ തകര്ക്കുംന്ന ചുറ്റികപോലെയും അല്ലയോ എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

29. O land, land, land, listen to GOD's Message!

30. അതുകൊണ്ടു ഒരുത്തനോടു ഒരുത്തന് എന്റെ വചനങ്ങളെ മോഷ്ടിക്കുന്ന പ്രവാചകന്മാര്ക്കും ഞാന് വിരോധമാകുന്നു എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

30. This is GOD's verdict: 'Write this man off as if he were childless, a man who will never amount to anything. Nothing will ever come of his life. He's the end of the line, the last of the kings.
