1. യഹോവ പിന്നെയും മോശെയോടും അഹരോനോടും അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതു

1. And the LORD spake unto Moses and Aaron saying:

2. നിങ്ങള് യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളോടു പറയേണ്ടതു എന്തെന്നാല്ഭൂമിയിലുള്ള സകലമൃഗങ്ങളിലും നിങ്ങള്ക്കു തിന്നാകുന്ന മൃഗങ്ങള് ഇവ

2. speak unto the children of Israel and say: these are the beasts which ye shall eat among all the beasts that are on the earth:

3. മൃഗങ്ങളില് കുളമ്പു പിളര്ന്നിരിക്കുന്നതും കുളമ്പു രണ്ടായി പിരിഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നതും അയവിറക്കുന്നതുമായതൊക്കെയും നിങ്ങള്ക്കു തിന്നാം.

3. whatsoever hath hoof and divideth it into two claws and cheweth cud among the beasts, that shall ye eat.

4. എന്നാല് അയവിറക്കുന്നവയിലും കുളമ്പു പിളര്ന്നിരിക്കുന്നവയിലും നിങ്ങള് തിന്നരുതാത്തവ ഇവഒട്ടകം; അയവിറക്കുന്നു എങ്കിലും കുളമ്പു പിളര്ന്നതല്ലായ്കകൊണ്ടു അതു നിങ്ങള്ക്കു അശുദ്ധം.

4. Nevertheless, these shall ye not eat of them that chew cud and have hoofs. The camel, for he cheweth cud but he divideth not the hoof into two claws, therefore he shall be unclean unto you.

5. കുഴിമുയല്; അയവിറക്കുന്നു എങ്കിലും കുളമ്പു പിളര്ന്നതല്ലായ്കയാല് അതു നിങ്ങള്ക്കു അശുദ്ധം.

5. And the cony, for he cheweth the cud but divideth not the hoof into two claws, therefore he is unclean to you.

6. മുയല്; അയവിറക്കുന്നു എങ്കിലും കുളമ്പു പിളന്നതല്ലായ്കയാല് അതു നിങ്ങള്ക്കു അശുദ്ധം.

6. And the hare, for he likewise cheweth the cud, but divideth not the hoof into two claws, he is therefore unclean to you.

7. പന്നി കുളമ്പു പിളര്ന്നതായി കുളമ്പു രണ്ടായി പിരിഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നതു തന്നേ എങ്കിലും അയവിറക്കുന്നതല്ലായ്കയാല് അതു നിങ്ങള്ക്കു അശുദ്ധം.

7. And the swine, for though he divide the hoof into two claws, yet he cheweth not the cud and therefore is unclean to you.

8. ഇവയുടെ മാംസം നിങ്ങള് തിന്നരുതു; പിണം തൊടുകയും അരുതു; ഇവ നിങ്ങള്ക്കു അശുദ്ധം.

8. Of their flesh see that ye eat not, and their carcasses see that ye twich not for they are unclean to you.

9. വെള്ളത്തിലുള്ള എല്ലാറ്റിലുംവെച്ചു നിങ്ങള്ക്കു തിന്നാകുന്നവ ഇവകടലുകളിലും നദികളിലും ഉള്ള വെള്ളത്തില് ചിറകും ചെതുമ്പലും ഉള്ളവ ഒക്കെയും നിങ്ങള്ക്കു തിന്നാം.

9. These shall ye eat of all that are in the waters: whatsoever hath fins and scales in the waters, seas and rivers, that shall ye eat.

10. എന്നാല് കടലുകളിലും നദികളിലും ള്ളള വെള്ളത്തില് ചലനംചെയ്യുന്ന എല്ലാറ്റിലും വെള്ളത്തിലുള്ള സകലജന്തുക്കളിലും ചിറകും ചെതുമ്പലുമില്ലാത്തതു ഒക്കെയും നിങ്ങള്ക്കു അറെപ്പായിരിക്കേണം.

10. And all that have not fins and scales in the seas and rivers of all that move and live in the waters, shall ye abhor.

11. അവ നിങ്ങള്ക്കു അറെപ്പായി തന്നേ ഇരിക്കേണം. അവയുടെ മാംസം തിന്നരുതു; അവയുടെ പിണം നിങ്ങള്ക്കു അറെപ്പായിരിക്കേണം.

11. See that ye eat not of their flesh, and also that ye abhor their carcasses:

12. ചിറകും ചെതുമ്പലും ഇല്ലാതെ വെള്ളത്തില് ഉള്ളതൊക്കെയും നിങ്ങള്ക്കു അറെപ്പു ആയിരിക്കേണം.

12. for all that have no fins nor scales in the waters, shall be abomination unto you.

13. പക്ഷികളില് നിങ്ങള്ക്കു അറെപ്പായിരിക്കേണ്ടുന്നവ ഇവഅവയെ തിന്നരുതു; അവ അറെപ്പു ആകുന്നുകഴുകന് , ചെമ്പരുന്തു,

13. These are the fowls which ye shall abhor and which shall not be eaten, for they are an abomination. The eagle, the goshawk, the cormorant, the kite,

14. കടല്റാഞ്ചന് , ഗൃദ്ധം, അതതു വിധം പരുന്തു,

14. the vulture and all his kind

15. അതതു വിധം കാക്ക, ഒട്ടകപ്പക്ഷി,

15. and all kind of ravens,

16. പുള്ളു, കടല്കാക്ക, അതതു വിധം പ്രാപ്പിടിയന് ,

16. the ostrich, the nightcrow, the cuckoo, the sparrowhawk, and all the kind:

17. നത്തു, നീര്ക്കാക്ക, ക്കുമന് , മൂങ്ങ,

17. the little owl, the stork, the great owl,

18. വേഴാമ്പല്, കുടുമ്മച്ചാത്തന് , പെരിഞാറ,

18. the back, the pelican, the pye,

19. അതതതു വിധം കൊകൂ, കുളക്കോഴി, നരിച്ചീര് എന്നിവയും

19. the heron, the jay with the kind, the lapwing and the swallow.

20. ചിറകുള്ള ഇഴജാതിയില് നാലുകാല്കൊണ്ടു നടക്കുന്നതു ഒക്കെയും നിങ്ങള്ക്കു അറെപ്പായിരിക്കേണം.

20. And all fowls that creep and go upon all fours shall be an abomination unto you.

21. എങ്കിലും ചിറകുള്ള ഇഴജാതിയില് നാലുകാല് കൊണ്ടു നടക്കുന്ന എല്ലാറ്റിലും നിലത്തു കുതിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു കാലിന്മേല് തുട ഉള്ളവയെ നിങ്ങള്ക്കു തിന്നാം.

21. Yet these may ye eat of all the fowls that move and go upon four feet: even those that have no knees above upon their feet to leap withal upon the earth,

22. ഇവയില് അതതു വിധം വെട്ടുക്കിളി, അതതു വിധം വിട്ടില്, അതതു വിധം ചീവീടു, അതതു വിധം തുള്ളന് എന്നിവയെ നിങ്ങള്ക്കു തിന്നാം.

22. even these of them ye may eat: the arb and all his kind: the Soleam with all his kind: the Hargol and all the kind, and the Hagab and all his kind.

23. ചിറകും നാലുകാലുമുള്ള ശേഷം ഇഴജാതി ഒക്കെയും നിങ്ങള്ക്കു അറെപ്പായിരിക്കേണം.

23. All other fowls that move and have four feet, shall be abomination unto you.

24. അവയാല് നിങ്ങള് അശുദ്ധരാകുംഅവയുടെ പിണം തൊടുന്നവനെല്ലാം സന്ധ്യവരെ അശുദ്ധന് ആയിരിക്കേണം.

24. In such ye shall be unclean whosoever touch the carcass of the shall be unclean unto the even,

25. അവയുടെ പിണം വഹിക്കുന്നവനെല്ലാം വസ്ത്രം അലക്കി സന്ധ്യവരെ അശുദ്ധനായിരിക്കേണം.
എബ്രായർ 9:10

25. and whosoever beareth the carcass of them, shall wash his clothes and shall be unclean until even.

26. കുളമ്പു പിളര്ന്നതെങ്കിലും കുളമ്പു രണ്ടായി പിരിയാതെയും അയവിറക്കാതെയും ഇരിക്കുന്ന സകലമൃഗവും നിങ്ങള്ക്കു അശുദ്ധം; അവയെ തൊടുന്നവനെല്ലാം അശുദ്ധന് ആയിരിക്കേണം.

26. Among all manner beasts, they that have hoofs and divide them not into two claws or that chew not the cud, shall be unclean unto you: and all that twicheth them shall be unclean.

27. നാലുകാല്കൊണ്ടു നടക്കുന്ന സകലമൃഗങ്ങളിലും ഉള്ളങ്കാല് പതിച്ചു നടക്കുന്നവ ഒക്കെയും നിങ്ങള്ക്കു അശുദ്ധം; അവയുടെ പിണം തൊടുന്നവനെല്ലാം സന്ധ്യവരെ അശുദ്ധന് ആയിരിക്കേണം.

27. And all that goeth upon his hands among all manner beasts that go on all fours, are unclean unto you: and as many as twich their carcasses, shall be unclean until the evening.

28. അവയുടെ പിണം വഹിക്കുന്നവന് വസ്ത്രം അലക്കി സന്ധ്യവരെ അശുദ്ധനായിരിക്കേണം; അവ നിങ്ങള്ക്കു അശുദ്ധം.

28. And he that beareth the carcass of them, shall wash his clothes and be unclean until the even, for such are unclean unto you.

29. നിലത്തു ഇഴയുന്ന ഇഴജാതിയില്നിങ്ങള്ക്കു അശുദ്ധമായവ ഇവ

29. And these are also unclean to you among the things that creep upon the earth: the weasel, the mouse, the toad and all his kind,

30. പെരിച്ചാഴി, എലി, അതതു വിധം ഉടുമ്പു, അളുങ്കു, ഔന്തു, പല്ലി, അരണ, തുരവന് .

30. the hedgehog, stellio, the lizard, the snail and the mole:

31. എല്ലാ ഇഴജാതിയിലുംവെച്ചു ഇവ നിങ്ങള്ക്കു അശുദ്ധം; അവ ചത്തശേഷം അവയെ തൊടുന്നവനെല്ലാം സന്ധ്യവരെ അശുദ്ധന് ആയിരിക്കേണം.

31. These are unclean to you among all that move, and all that twich them when they be dead, shall be unclean until the evening.

32. ചത്തശേഷം അവയില് ഒന്നു ഏതിന്മേല് എങ്കിലും വീണാല് അതൊക്കെയും അശുദ്ധമാകും; അതു മരപ്പാത്രമോ വസ്ത്രമോ തോലോ ചാകൂശീലയോ വേലെക്കു ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്ന പാത്രമോ എന്തായാലും വെള്ളത്തില് ഇടേണം; അതു സന്ധ്യവരെ അശുദ്ധമായിരിക്കേണം; പിന്നെ ശുദ്ധമാകും.

32. And whatsoever any of the dead carcasses of them fall upon, shall be unclean: whatsoever vessel of wood it be, or raiment, or skin, or bag or whatsoever thing it be that any work is wrought with all. And they shall be plunged in the water and be unclean until the even, and then they shall be clean again.

33. അവയില് യാതൊന്നെങ്കിലും ഒരു മണ്പാത്രത്തിന്നകത്തു വീണാല് അതിന്നകത്തുള്ളതു ഒക്കെയും അശുദ്ധമാകും; നിങ്ങള് അതു ഉടെച്ചുകളയേണം.

33. All manner of earthen vessel whereinto any of them falleth, is unclean with all that therein is: and ye shall break it.

34. തിന്നുന്ന വല്ല സാധനത്തിന്മേലും ആ വെള്ളം വീണാല് അതു അശുദ്ധമാകും; കുടിക്കുന്ന വല്ല പാനീയവും ആ വക പാത്രത്തില് ഉണ്ടെങ്കില് അതു അശുദ്ധമാകും;

34. All manner meat that is eaten, if any such water come upon it, it shall be unclean. And all manner drink that is drunk in all manner such vessels, shall be unclean.

35. അവയില് ഒന്നിന്റെ പിണം വല്ലതിന്മേലും വീണാല് അതു ഒക്കെയും അശുദ്ധമാകുംഅടുപ്പോ തീച്ചട്ടിയോ ഇങ്ങനെ എന്തായാലും അതു തകര്ത്തുകളയേണം; അവ അശുദ്ധം ആകുന്നു; അവ നിങ്ങള്ക്കു അശുദ്ധം ആയിരിക്കേണം.

35. And whether it be oven or kettle, it shall be broken. For they are unclean and shall be unclean unto you:

36. എന്നാല് നീരുറവും വെള്ളമുള്ള കിണറും ശുദ്ധമായിരിക്കും; പിണം തൊടുന്നവനോ അശുദ്ധനാകും.

36. Neverthelater, yet the fountains and wells and ponds of water, shall be clean still. But whosoever twicheth their carcasses, shall be unclean.

37. വിതെക്കുന്ന വിത്തായ വല്ല ധാന്യത്തിന്മേലും അവയില് ഒന്നിന്റെ പിണം വീണാലും അതു ശുദ്ധമായിരിക്കും.

37. If the dead carcass of any such fall upon any seed used to sow, it shall yet be clean still:

38. എന്നാല് വിത്തില് വെള്ളം ഒഴിച്ചിട്ടു അവയില് ഒന്നിന്റെ പിണം അതിന്മേല് വീണാല് അതു അശുദ്ധം.

38. but and if any water be poured upon the seed and afterward the dead carcass of them fall thereon, then it shall be unclean unto you.

39. നിങ്ങള്ക്കു തിന്നാകുന്ന ഒരു മൃഗം ചത്താല് അതിന്റെ പിണം തൊടുന്നവന് സന്ധ്യവരെ അശുദ്ധന് ആയിരിക്കേണം.

39. If any beast of which ye eat die, he that twicheth the dead carcass shall be unclean until the evening.

40. അതിന്റെ പിണം തിന്നുന്നവന് വസ്ത്രം അലക്കി സന്ധ്യവരെ അശുദ്ധനായിരിക്കേണം; അതിന്റെ പിണം വഹിക്കുന്നവനും വസ്ത്രം അലക്കി സന്ധ്യവരെ അശുദ്ധനായിരിക്കേണം.

40. And he that eateth of any such dead carcass, shall wash his clothes and remain unclean until the evening. And he also that beareth the carcass of it, shall wash his clothes and be unclean until even.

41. നിലത്തു ഇഴയുന്ന ഇഴജാതിയെല്ലാം അറെപ്പാകുന്നു; അതിനെ തിന്നരുതു.

41. All that crawleth upon the earth, is an abomination and shall not be eaten.

42. ഉരസ്സുകൊണ്ടു ചരിക്കുന്നതും നാലുകാല്കൊണ്ടു നടക്കുന്നതും അല്ലെങ്കില് അനേകം കാലുള്ളതായി നിലത്തു ഇഴയുന്നതുമായ യാതൊരു ഇഴജാതിയെയും നിങ്ങള് തിന്നരുതു; അവ അറെപ്പാകുന്നു.

42. And whatsoever goeth upon the breast, and whatsoever goeth upon four or more feet among all that crawleth upon the earth, of that see ye eat not: for they are abominable.

43. യാതൊരു ഇഴജാതിയെക്കൊണ്ടും നിങ്ങളെ തന്നേ അറെപ്പാക്കരുതു; അവയാല് നിങ്ങള് മലിനപ്പെടുമാറു നിങ്ങളെത്തന്നേ അശുദ്ധമാക്കുകയും അരുതു.

43. Make not your souls abominable. Make not your souls abominable with nothing that creepeth, neither make your souls unclean with them: that ye should be defiled thereby.

44. ഞാന് നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ ആകുന്നു; ഞാന് വിശുദ്ധനാകയാല് നിങ്ങള് നിങ്ങളെ തന്നേ വിശുദ്ധീകരിച്ചു വിശുദ്ധന്മാരായിരിക്കേണം; ഭൂമിയില് ഇഴയുന്ന യാതൊരു ഇഴജാതിയാലും നിങ്ങളെ തന്നേ അശുദ്ധമാക്കരുതു.

44. For I am the LORD your God, be sanctified therefore that ye may be holy, for I am holy: and defile not your souls with any manner thing that creepeth upon the earth.

45. ഞാന് നിങ്ങള്ക്കു ദൈവമായിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നിങ്ങളെ മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തുനിന്നു പുറപ്പെടുവിച്ച യഹോവ ആകുന്നു; ഞാന് വിശുദ്ധനാകയാല് നിങ്ങളും വിശുദ്ധന്മാരായിരിക്കേണം.

45. For I am the LORD that brought you out of the land of Egypt to be your God: be holy therefore, for I am holy.

46. ശുദ്ധവും അശുദ്ധവും തമ്മിലും തിന്നാകുന്ന മൃഗത്തെയും തിന്നരുതാത്ത മൃഗത്തെയും തമ്മിലും

46. This is the law of beast and fowl and of all manner thing that liveth and moveth in the water and of all things that creep upon the earth,

47. വകതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഇതു മൃഗങ്ങളെയും പക്ഷികളെയും വെള്ളത്തില് ചലനം ചെയ്യുന്ന സകല ജന്തുക്കളെയും നിലത്തു ഇഴയുന്ന ജന്തുക്കളെയും പറ്റിയുള്ള പ്രമാണം ആകുന്നു.

47. that ye may put difference between unclean and clean, and between the beasts that are eaten and the beasts that are not eaten.
