1. മടുത്തുപോകാതെ എപ്പോഴും പ്രാര്ത്ഥിക്കേണം എന്നുള്ളതിന്നു അവന് അവരോടു ഒരുപമ പറഞ്ഞതു

1. And he was speaking a parable unto them, as to its being needful for them always to pray, and not be faint-hearted;

2. ദൈവത്തെ ഭയവും മനുഷ്യനെ ശങ്കയുമില്ലാത്ത ഒരു ന്യായാധിപന് ഒരു പട്ടണത്തില് ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

2. saying A certain judge, there was in a certain city, having, for God, no reverence, and, for man, no respect.

3. ആ പട്ടണത്തില് ഒരു വിധവയും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. അവള് അവന്റെ അടുക്കല് ചെന്നുഎന്റെ പ്രതിയോഗിയോടു പ്രതിക്രിയ നടത്തി രക്ഷിക്കേണമേ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

3. And, a widow, there was, in that city; and she kept coming unto him, saying Vindicate me from mine adversary!

4. അവന്നു കുറേ കാലത്തേക്കു മനസ്സില്ലായിരുന്നു; പിന്നെ അവന് എനിക്കു ദൈവത്തെ ഭയവും മനുഷ്യനെ ശങ്കയുമില്ല

4. And he was unwilling for a time; but, after these things, he said within himself Although, neither God, I reverence, nor man, I respect,

5. എങ്കിലും വിധവ എന്നെ അസഹ്യമാക്കുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു ഞാന് അവളെ പ്രതിക്രിയ നടത്തി രക്ഷിക്കും; അല്ലെങ്കില് അവള് ഒടുവില് വന്നു എന്നെ മുഖത്തടിക്കും എന്നു ഉള്ളുകൊണ്ടു പറഞ്ഞു.

5. Yet, if only because this widow annoyeth me, I will vindicate her, lest, persistently coming, she wholly wear me out.

6. അനീതിയുള്ള ന്യായാധിപന് പറയുന്നതു കേള്പ്പിന് .

6. And the Lord said Hear ye what, the unrighteous judge saith;

7. ദൈവമോ രാപ്പകല് തന്നോടു നിലവിളിക്കുന്ന തന്റെ വൃതന്മാരുടെ കാര്യത്തില് ദീര്ഘ ക്ഷമയുള്ളവന് ആയാലും അവരെ പ്രതിക്രിയ നടത്തി രക്ഷിക്കയില്ലയോ?

7. And shall, God, in any wise not execute the vindication of his chosen ones, who are crying out to him day and night, although he beareth long with regard to them?

8. വേഗത്തില് അവരെ പ്രതിക്രിയ നടത്തി രക്ഷിക്കും എന്നു ഞാന് നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു. എന്നാല് മനുഷ്യപുത്രന് വരുമ്പോള് അവന് ഭൂമിയില് വിശ്വാസം കണ്ടെത്തുമോ എന്നു കര്ത്താവു പറഞ്ഞു.

8. I tell you He will execute their vindication, quickly! nevertheless, though, the Son of Man, do come, will he, after all, find the faith on the earth?

9. തങ്ങള് നീതിമാന്മാര് എന്നു ഉറെച്ചു മറ്റുള്ളവരെ ധിക്കരിക്കുന്ന ചിലരെക്കുറിച്ചു അവന് ഒരു ഉപമ പറഞ്ഞതെന്തെന്നാല്

9. And he spake, even unto certain who were confident in themselves that they were righteous, and were despising the rest, this parable:

10. രണ്ടു മനുഷ്യര് പ്രാര്ത്ഥിപ്പാന് ദൈവാലയത്തില് പോയി; ഒരുത്തന് പരീശന് , മറ്റവന് ചുങ്കക്കാരന് .

10. Two men, went up into the temple to pray, one, a Pharisee, and, the other, a tax-collector.

11. പരീശന് നിന്നുകൊണ്ടു തന്നോടു തന്നെദൈവമേ, പിടിച്ചു പറിക്കാര്, നീതി കെട്ടവര്, വ്യഭിചാരികള് മുതലായ ശേഷം മനുഷ്യരെപ്പോലെയോ ഈ ചുങ്കക്കാരനെപ്പോലെയോ ഞാന് അല്ലായ്കയാല് നിന്നെ വാഴ്ത്തുന്നു.

11. The Pharisee, taking his stand, these things unto himself was praying: O God! I thank thee, that I am not like the rest of men, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or, even as this tax-collector;

12. ആഴ്ചയില് രണ്ടുവട്ടം ഉപവസിക്കുന്നു; നേടുന്നതില് ഒക്കെയും പതാരം കൊടുത്തുവരുന്നു; എന്നിങ്ങനെ പ്രാര്ത്ഥിച്ചു.

12. I fast twice in the week, I give a tenth of whatsoever things I gain!

13. ചുങ്കക്കാരനോ ദൂരത്തു നിന്നുകൊണ്ടു സ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തേക്കു നോക്കുവാമ്പോലും തുനിയാതെ മാറത്തടിച്ചുദൈവമേ, പാപിയായ എന്നോടു കരുണയുണ്ടാകേണമേ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

13. But, the tax-collector, afar off, standing, would not so much as lift up, his eyes, unto heaven, but kept smiting his own breast saying O God! be propitiated unto me, the sinner!

14. അവന് നീതീകരിക്കപ്പെട്ടവനായി വീട്ടിലേക്കു പോയി; മറ്റവന് അങ്ങനെയല്ല. തന്നെത്താന് ഉയര്ത്തുന്നവന് എല്ലാം താഴ്ത്തപ്പെടും; തന്നെത്താന് താഴ്ത്തുന്നവന് എല്ലാം ഉയര്ത്തപ്പെടും എന്നു ഞാന് നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു.

14. I tell you This one went down justified, unto his house, rather than that one; because, every one who exalteth himself, shall be abased, but, he that abaseth himself, shall be exalted?

15. അവന് തൊടേണ്ടതിന്നു ചിലര് ശിശുക്കളെയും അവന്റെ അടുക്കല് കൊണ്ടുവന്നു; ശിഷ്യന്മാര് അതുകണ്ടു അവരെ ശാസിച്ചു.

15. And they were bringing unto him, even the babes, that he might touch, them; but the disciples, seeing it, began to rebuke them.

16. യേശുവോ അവരെ അരികത്തു വിളിച്ചുപൈതങ്ങളെ എന്റെ അടുക്കല് വരുവാന് വിടുവിന് ; അവരെ തടുക്കരുതു; ദൈവരാജ്യം ഇങ്ങനെയുള്ളവരുടേതു ആകുന്നു.

16. But, Jesus, called them near, saying Suffer, the children, to be coming unto me, and do not hinder them; for, of such, is the kingdom of God.

17. ദൈവരാജ്യത്തെ ശിശുഎന്നപോലെ കൈക്കൊള്ളാത്തവന് ആരും ഒരുനാളും അതില് കടക്കയില്ല എന്നു ഞാന് സത്യമായിട്ടു നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

17. Verily I say unto you Whosoever shall not welcome the kingdom of God, as a child, in nowise shall enter thereinto.

18. ഒരു പ്രമാണി അവനോടുനല്ല ഗുരോ, ഞാന് നിത്യജീവനെ അവകാശമാക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു എന്തു ചെയ്യേണം എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

18. And a certain, ruler, questioned him, saying Good Teacher! by doing what, shall I inherit life age-abiding?

19. അതിന്നു യേശുഎന്നെ നല്ലവന് എന്നു പറയുന്നതു എന്തു? ദൈവം ഒരുവനല്ലാതെ നല്ലവന് ആരും ഇല്ല. വ്യഭിചാരം ചെയ്യരുതു

19. But Jesus said to him Why, callest thou me, good? None, is good, save one God.

20. കുല ചെയ്യരുതു; മോഷ്ടിക്കരുതു; കള്ളസ്സാക്ഷ്യം പറയരുതു; നിന്റെ അപ്പനെയും അമ്മയെയും ബഹുമാനിക്ക എന്നീ കല്പനകളെ നീ അറിയുന്നുവല്ലോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

20. The commandments, thou knowest: Do not commit adultery, Do not commit murder, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Honour thy father and mother,

21. ഇവ ഒക്കെയും ഞാന് ചെറുപ്പം മുതല് കാത്തു കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു അവന് പറഞ്ഞതു കേട്ടിട്ടു

21. And, he, said All these things, have I kept from my youth.

22. യേശുഇനി ഒരു കുറവു നിനക്കുണ്ടു; നിനക്കുള്ളതൊക്കെയും വിറ്റു ദരിദ്രന്മാര്ക്കും പകുത്തുകൊടുക്ക; എന്നാല് സ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തില് നിനക്കു നിക്ഷേപം ഉണ്ടാകും; പിന്നെ വന്നു എന്നെ അനുഗമിക്ക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

22. And Jesus, hearing, said unto him Yet one thing, unto thee, is lacking: Whatsoever thou hast, sell, and distribute unto the destitute, and thou shalt have treasure in the heavens; and come! be following me.

23. അവന് എത്രയും ധനവാനാകകൊണ്ടു ഇതു കേട്ടിട്ടു അതിദുഃഖതിനായിത്തീര്ന്നു.

23. But, he, hearing these things, became, encompassed with grief; for he was rich exceedingly.

24. യേശു അവനെ കണ്ടിട്ടുസമ്പത്തുള്ളവര് ദൈവരാജ്യത്തില് കടക്കുന്നതു എത്ര പ്രയാസം!

24. And Jesus, beholding him, said With what difficulty, shall, they who have money, enter, into the kingdom of God.

25. ധനവാന് ദൈവരാജ്യത്തില് കടക്കുന്നതിനെക്കാള് ഒട്ടകം സൂചിക്കുഴയൂടെ കടക്കുന്നതു എളുപ്പം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

25. For it is, easier, for a camel, to enter, through the eye of a needle, than for, a rich man, to enter, into the kingdom of God.

26. ഇതു കേട്ടവര്എന്നാല് രക്ഷിക്കപ്പെടുവാന് ആര്ക്കും കഴിയും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

26. And they who heard said Who, then, can be saved?

27. അതിന്നു അവന് മനുഷ്യരാല് അസാദ്ധ്യമായതു ദൈവത്താല് സാദ്ധ്യമാകുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

27. And, he, said The things impossible with men, are, possible with God.

28. ഇതാ ഞങ്ങള് സ്വന്തമായതു വിട്ടു നിന്നെ അനുഗമിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പത്രൊസ് പറഞ്ഞു.

28. And Peter said Lo! we, have left our own possessions, and followed thee!

29. യേശു അവരോടുദൈവരാജ്യം നിമിത്തം വീടോ ഭാര്യയെയോ സഹോദരന്മാരെയോ അമ്മയപ്പന്മാരെയോ മക്കളെയോ വിട്ടുകളഞ്ഞിട്ടു

29. And, he, said unto them Verily, I say unto you No one, is there, who hath left house, or wife, or brethren, or parents, or children, for the sake of the kingdom of God;

30. ഈ കാലത്തില് തന്നേ പല മടങ്ങായും വരുവാനുള്ള ലോകത്തില് നിത്യജീവനെയും പ്രാപിക്കാത്തവന് ആരും ഇല്ല എന്നു ഞാന് സത്യമായിട്ടു നിങ്ങളാടു പറയുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

30. who shall in anywise not receive manifold in this season, and, in the age that is coming, life age-abiding.

31. അനന്തരം അവന് പന്തിരുവരെ കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടു അവരോടുഇതാ നാം യെരൂശലേമിലേക്കു പോകുന്നു; മനുഷ്യപുത്രനെക്കുറിച്ചു പ്രവാചകന്മാര് എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നതു എല്ലാം നിവൃത്തിയാകും.

31. And, taking aside the twelve, he said unto them Lo! we are going up unto Jerusalem, and all the things will be finished, which have been written through means of the prophets, respecting the Son of Man;

32. അവനെ ജാതികള്ക്കു ഏല്പിച്ചുകൊടുക്കയും അവര് അവനെ പരിഹസിച്ചു അവമാനിച്ചു തുപ്പി തല്ലീട്ടു കൊല്ലുകയും

32. For he will be delivered up unto the nations, and be mocked, and insulted, and spit upon,

33. മൂന്നാം നാള് അവന് ഉയിര്ത്തെഴുന്നേല്ക്കയും ചെയ്യും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

33. and, having scourged him, they will slay him, and, on the third day, will, he, arise.

34. അവരോ ഇതു ഒന്നും ഗ്രഹിച്ചില്ല; ഈ വാക്കു അവര്ക്കും മറവായിരുന്നു; പറഞ്ഞതു അവര് തിരിച്ചറിഞ്ഞതുമില്ല.

34. And, they, not one of these things, understood, and this saying was hidden from them, and the could not comprehend the things spoken.

35. അവന് യെരീഹോവിന്നു അടുത്തപ്പോള് ഒരു കുരുടന് ഇരന്നുകൊണ്ടു വഴിയരികെ ഇരുന്നിരുന്നു.

35. And it came to pass, as he was drawing near unto Jericho, a certain blind man, was sitting beside the road, begging.

36. പുരുഷാരം കടന്നു പോകുന്നതു കേട്ടുഇതെന്തു എന്നു അവന് ചോദിച്ചു.

36. And. hearkening unto a multitude moving along, he enquired, what this, might be.

37. നസറായനായ യേശു കടന്നുപോകുന്നു എന്നു അവര് അവനോടു അറിയിച്ചു.

37. And they told him Jesus of Nazareth, is passing by!

38. അപ്പോള് അവന് യേശുവേ, ദാവീദുപുത്രാ, എന്നോടു കരുണ തോന്നേണമേ എന്നു നിലവിളിച്ചു.

38. And he cried aloud, saying Jesus, son of David! have mercy upon me!

39. മുന് നടക്കുന്നവര് അവനെ മിണ്ടാതിരിപ്പാന് ശാസിച്ചു; അവനോദിവീദുപുത്രാ എന്നോടു കരുണ തോന്നേണമേ എന്നു ഏറ്റവും അധികം നിലവിളിച്ചു.

39. And, they that were going before, began to rebuke him, that he might hold his peace. But, he, by so much the more, was crying out O Son of David! have mercy upon me!

40. യേശു നിന്നു, അവനെ തന്റെ അടുക്കല് കൊണ്ടുവരുവാന് കല്പിച്ചു.

40. And, standing still, Jesus commanded him to be led unto him; and, when he had drawn near, he questioned him

41. ഞാന് നിനക്കു എന്തു ചെയ്യേണം എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു. കര്ത്താവേ, എനിക്കു കാഴ്ച കിട്ടേണം എന്നു അവന് പറഞ്ഞു.

41. What desirest thou, I should do unto thee? And, he, said Lord! that I may recover sight!

42. യേശു അവനോടുകാഴ്ച പ്രാപിക്ക; നിന്റെ വിശ്വാസം നിന്നെ രക്ഷിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

42. And, Jesus, said unto him Recover sight! Thy faith, hath saved thee.

43. ക്ഷണത്തില് അവന് കാഴ്ച പ്രാപിച്ചു ദൈവത്തെ മഹത്വീകരിച്ചും കൊണ്ടു അവനെ അനുഗമിച്ചു; ജനം എല്ലാം കണ്ടിട്ടു ദൈവത്തിന്നു പുകഴ്ച കൊടുത്തു.

43. And, instantly, he recovered sight, and began to follow him, glorifying God. And, all the people, beholding, gave praise unto God.
