1. അതിന്റെ ശേഷം യെഹൂദന്മാരുടെ ഒരു ഉത്സവം ഉണ്ടായിട്ടു യേശു യെരൂശലേമിലേക്കുപോയി.

1. After that ther was a feast of the Iewes and Iesus went vp to Ierusalem.

2. യെരൂശലേമില് ആട്ടുവാതില്ക്കല് ബേഥെസ്ദാ എന്നു എബ്രായപേരുള്ള ഒരു കുളം ഉണ്ടു; അതിന്നു അഞ്ചു മണ്ഡപം ഉണ്ടു.

2. And ther is at Ierusalem by ye slaughterhousse a pole called in ye Ebrue toge Bethseda havinge five porches

3. അവയില് വ്യാധിക്കാര്, കുരുടര്, മുടന്തര്, ക്ഷയരോഗികള് ഇങ്ങനെ വലിയോരു കൂട്ടം (വെള്ളത്തിന്റെ ഇളക്കം കാത്തുകൊണ്ടു) കിടന്നിരുന്നു.

3. in which laye a greate multitude of sicke folke of blinde halt and wyddered waytinge for the movinge of the water.

4. (അതതു സമയത്തു ഒരു ദൂതന് കുളത്തില് ഇറങ്ങി വെള്ളം കലക്കും; വെള്ളം കലങ്ങിയ ശേഷം ആദ്യം ഇറങ്ങുന്നവന് ഏതു വ്യാധിപിടിച്ചവനായിരുന്നാലും അവന്നു സൌഖ്യം വരും)

4. For an angell wet doune at a certayne ceason into ye pole and troubled ye water. Whosoever then fyrst after the steringe of the water stepped in was made whoale of what soever disease he had.

5. എന്നാല് മുപ്പത്തെട്ടു ആണ്ടു രോഗം പിടിച്ചു കിടന്നോരു മനുഷ്യന് അവിടെ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

5. And a certayne ma was theare which had bene diseased .xxxviii. yeares

6. അവന് കിടക്കുന്നതു യേശു കണ്ടു, ഇങ്ങനെ ഏറിയ കാലമായിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നറിഞ്ഞുനിനക്കു സൌഖ്യമാകുവാന് മനസ്സുണ്ടോ എന്നു അവനോടു ചോദിച്ചു.

6. 6. When Iesus sawe him lye and knewe that he now longe tyme had bene diseased he sayde vnto him. Wilt thou be made whoale?

7. രോഗി അവനോടുയജമാനനേ, വെള്ളം കലങ്ങുമ്പോള് എന്നെ കുളത്തില് ആക്കുവാന് എനിക്കു ആരും ഇല്ല; ഞാന് തന്നേ ചെല്ലുമ്പോള് മറ്റൊരുത്തന് എനിക്കു മുമ്പായി ഇറങ്ങുന്നു എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

7. The sicke answered him: Syr I have no man whe the water is troubled to put me into the pole. But in the meane tyme whill I am about to come another steppeth doune before me.

8. യേശു അവനോടുഎഴുന്നേറ്റു നിന്റെ കിടക്ക എടുത്തു നടക്ക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

8. And Iesus sayde vnto him: ryse take vp thy beed and walke.

9. ഉടനെ ആ മനുഷ്യന് സൌഖ്യമായി കിടക്ക എടുത്തു നടന്നു.

9. And immediatly the man was made whole and toke vp his beed and went. And the same daye was the Saboth daye

10. എന്നാല് അന്നു ശബ്ബത്ത് ആയിരുന്നു. ആകയാല് യെഹൂദന്മാര് സൌഖ്യം പ്രാപിച്ചവനോടുഇന്നുശബ്ബത്ത് ആകുന്നു; കിടക്ക എടുക്കുന്നതു വിഹിതമല്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

10. 10. The Iewes therfore sayde vnto him that was made whole. It is ye Saboth daye it is not laufull for the to cary thy beed

11. അവന് അവരോടുഎന്നെ സൌഖ്യമാക്കിയവന് കിടക്ക എടുത്ത നടക്ക എന്നു എന്നോടു പറഞ്ഞു എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

11. 11. He answered them: he that made me whole sayde vnto me: take vp thy beed and get the hence.

12. അവര് അവനോടുകിടക്ക എടുത്തു നടക്ക എന്നു നിന്നോടു പറഞ്ഞ മനുഷ്യന് ആര് എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

12. Then axed they him: what man is that which sayde vnto the take vp thy beed and walke.

13. എന്നാല് അവിടെ പുരുഷാരം ഉണ്ടായിരിക്കയാല് യേശു മാറിക്കളഞ്ഞതുകൊണ്ടു അവന് ആരെന്നു സൌഖ്യം പ്രാപിച്ചവന് അറിഞ്ഞില്ല.

13. And he yt was healed wist not who it was. For Iesus had gotte him selfe awaye be cause yt ther was preace of people in ye place.

14. അനന്തരം യേശു അവനെ ദൈവാലയത്തില്വെച്ചു കണ്ടു അവനോടുനോകൂ, നിനക്കു സൌഖ്യമായല്ലോ; അധികം തിന്മയായതു ഭവിക്കാതിരിപ്പാന് ഇനി പാപം ചെയ്യരുതു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

14. And after that Iesus founde him in the teple and sayd vnto him: beholde thou arte made whole synne no moore lest a worsse thinge happe vnto the.

15. ആ മനുഷ്യന് പോയി തന്നെ സൌഖ്യമാക്കിയതു യേശു എന്നു യെഹൂദന്മാരോടു അറിയിച്ചു.

15. The man departed and tolde ye Iewes that yt was Iesus whiche had made him whole.

16. യേശു ശബ്ബത്തില് അതു ചെയ്കകൊണ്ടു യെഹൂദന്മാര് അവനെ ഉപദ്രവിച്ചു.

16. And therfore the Iewes dyd persecute Iesus and sought the meanes to slee him because he had done these thinges on the Saboth daye.

17. യേശു അവരോടുഎന്റെ പിതാവു ഇന്നുവരെയും പ്രവര്ത്തിക്കുന്നു; ഞാനും പ്രവര്ത്തിക്കുന്നു എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

17. And Iesus answered them: my father worketh hidder to and I worke.

18. അങ്ങനെ അവന് ശബ്ബത്തിനെ ലംഘിച്ചതുകൊണ്ടു മാത്രമല്ല, ദൈവം സ്വന്തപിതാവു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു തന്നെത്താന് ദൈവത്തോടു സമമാക്കിയതുകൊണ്ടും യെഹൂദന്മാര് അവനെ കൊല്ലുവാന് അധികമായി ശ്രമിച്ചു പോന്നു.

18. Therfore the Iewes sought the moare to kill him not only because he had broken the Saboth: but sayde also that God was his father and made him selfe equall with God.

19. ആകയാല് യേശു അവരോടു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞതുആമേന് , ആമേന് , ഞാന് നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നുപിതാവു ചെയ്തു കാണുന്നതു അല്ലാതെ പുത്രന്നു സ്വതേ ഒന്നും ചെയ്വാന് കഴികയില്ല; അവന് ചെയ്യുന്നതു എല്ലാം പുത്രനും അവ്വണ്ണം തന്നേ ചെയ്യുന്നു.

19. Then answered Iesus and sayde vnto them: verely verely I saye vnto you: the sonne can do no thinge of him selfe but that he seeth ye father do. For whatsoever he doeth yt doeth the sonne also.

20. പിതാവു പുത്രനെ സ്നേഹിക്കയും താന് ചെയ്യുന്നതു ഒക്കെയും അവന്നു കാണിച്ചുകൊടുക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നു; നിങ്ങള് ആശ്ചര്യപ്പെടുമാറു ഇവയില് വലിയ പ്രവൃത്തികളും അവന്നു കാണിച്ചുകൊടുക്കും.

20. For the father loveth ye sonne and sheweth him all thinges whatsoever he him selfe doeth. And he will shewe him greter workes then these because ye shoulde marvayle.

21. പിതാവു മരിച്ചവരെ ഉണര്ത്തി ജീവിപ്പിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ പുത്രനും താന് ഇച്ഛിക്കുന്നവരെ ജീവിപ്പിക്കുന്നു.

21. For lykwyse as the father rayseth vp ye deed and quickeneth them even so the sonne quyckeneth whom he will.

22. എല്ലാവരും പിതാവിനെ ബഹുമാനിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ പുത്രനെയും ബഹുമാനിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു പിതാവു ആരെയും ന്യായം വിധിക്കാതെ ന്യായവിധി എല്ലാം പുത്രന്നുകൊടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു.

22. Nether iudgeth ye father eny ma: but hath comitted all iudgemet vnto the sonne

23. പുത്രനെ ബഹുമാനിക്കാത്തവന് അവനെ അയച്ച പിതാവിനെയും ബഹുമാനിക്കുന്നില്ല.

23. because that all men shuld honoure the sonne eve as they honoure the father. He that honoureth not ye sonne the same honoureth not the father which hath sent him.

24. ആമേന് , ആമേന് , ഞാന് നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നുഎന്റെ വചനം കേട്ടു എന്നെ അയച്ചവനെ വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നവന്നു നിത്യജീവന് ഉണ്ടു; അവന് ന്യായവിധിയില് ആകാതെ മരണത്തില് നിന്നു ജീവങ്കലേക്കു കടന്നിരിക്കുന്നു.

24. Verely verely I saye vnto you: He that heareth my wordes and beleveth on him that sent me hath everlastinge lyfe and shall not come into damnacion: but is scaped fro deth vnto lyfe.

25. ആമേന് , ആമേന് , ഞാന് നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നുമരിച്ചവര് ദൈവപുത്രന്റെ ശബ്ദം കേള്ക്കയും കേള്ക്കുന്നവര് ജീവിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്ന നാഴികവരുന്നു; ഇപ്പോള് വന്നുമിരിക്കുന്നു.

25. Verely verely I saye vnto you: the tyme shall come and now is when the deed shall heare the voyce of the sonne of God. And they yt heare shall live.

26. പിതാവിന്നു തന്നില്തന്നേ ജീവനുള്ളതുപോലെ അവന് പുത്രന്നും തന്നില്തന്നേ ജീവനുള്ളവന് ആകുമാറു വരം നല്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

26. For as the father hath life in him silfe: so lyke wyse hath he geven to ye sonne to have lyfe in him silfe:

27. അവന് മനുഷ്യപുത്രന് ആകയാല് ന്യായവിധിനടത്തുവാന് അവന്നു അധികാരവും നല്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

27. and hath geven him power also to iudge in that he is the sonne of man.

28. ഇതിങ്കല് ആശ്ചര്യപ്പെടരുതു; കല്ലറകളില് ഉള്ളവര് എല്ലാവരും അവന്റെ ശബ്ദം കേട്ടു, നന്മ ചെയ്തവര് ജീവന്നായും തിന്മ ചെയ്തവര് ന്യായവിധിക്കായും പുനരുത്ഥാനം ചെയ്വാനുള്ള നാഴിക വരുന്നു.

28. Marvayle not at this ye houre shall come in the which all yt are in the graves shall heare his voice

29. എനിക്കു സ്വതേ ഒന്നും ചെയ്വാന് കഴിയുന്നതല്ല; ഞാന് കേള്ക്കുന്നതുപോലെ ന്യായം വിധിക്കുന്നു; ഞാന് എന്റെ ഇഷ്ടം അല്ല, എന്നെ അയച്ചവന്റെ ഇഷ്ടമത്രേ ചെയ്വാന് ഇച്ഛിക്കുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു എന്റെ വിധി നീതിയുള്ളതു ആകുന്നു.
ദാനീയേൽ 12:2

29. and shall come forthe: they that have done good vnto the resurreccion of lyfe: and they that have done evyll vnto the resurreccion of dampnacion.

30. ഞാന് എന്നെക്കുറിച്ചു തന്നേ സാക്ഷ്യം പറഞ്ഞാല് എന്റെ സാക്ഷ്യം സത്യമല്ല.

30. I can of myne awne selfe do nothinge at all. As I heare I iudge and my iudgemet is iust because I seke not myne awne will but the will of ye father which hath sent me.

31. എന്നെക്കുറിച്ചു സാക്ഷ്യം പറയുന്നതു മറ്റൊരുത്തന് ആകുന്നു; അവന് എന്നെക്കുറിച്ചു പറയുന്ന സാക്ഷ്യം സത്യം എന്നു ഞാന് അറിയുന്നു.

31. Yf I beare witnes of my selfe my witnes is not true.

32. നിങ്ങള് യോഹാന്നാന്റെ അടുക്കല് ആളയച്ചു; അവന് സത്യത്തിന്നു സാക്ഷ്യം പറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു.

32. Ther is a nother that beareth witnes of me and I am sure that the witnes whiche he beareth of me is true.

33. എനിക്കോ മനുഷ്യന്റെ സാക്ഷ്യംകൊണ്ടു ആവശ്യമില്ല; നിങ്ങള് രക്ഷിക്കപ്പെടുവാനത്രേ ഇതു പറയുന്നതു.

33. Ye sent vnto Iohn and he bare witnes vnto the truthe.

34. അവന് ജ്വലിച്ചു പ്രകാശിക്കുന്ന വിളകൂ ആയിരുന്നു; നിങ്ങള് അല്പസമയത്തേക്കു അവന്റെ വെളിച്ചത്തില് ഉല്ലസിപ്പാന് ഇച്ഛിച്ചു.

34. But I receave not the recorde of man. Neverthelesse these thinges I saye that ye might be safe.

35. എനിക്കോ യോഹന്നാന്റെ സാക്ഷ്യത്തിലും വലിയ സാക്ഷ്യം ഉണ്ടു; പിതാവു എനിക്കു അനുഷ്ഠിപ്പാന് തന്നിരിക്കുന്ന പ്രവൃത്തികള്, ഞാന് ചെയ്യുന്ന പ്രവൃത്തികള് തന്നേ, പിതാവു എന്നെ അയച്ചു എന്നു എന്നെക്കുറിച്ചു സാക്ഷീകരിക്കുന്നു.

35. He was a burninge and a shyninge light and ye wolde for a season have reioysed in his light.

36. എന്നെ അയച്ച പിതാവുതാനും എന്നെക്കുറിച്ചു സാക്ഷ്യം പറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു; നിങ്ങള് അവന്റെ ശബ്ദം ഒരുനാളും കേട്ടിട്ടില്ല, അവന്റെ രൂപം കണ്ടിട്ടില്ല;

36. But I have greater witnes then the witnes of Iohn. For ye workes which ye father hath geve me to fynisshe: the same workes which I do beare witnes of me that ye father sent me.

37. അവന്റെ വചനം നിങ്ങളുടെ ഉള്ളില് വസിക്കുന്നതുമില്ല അവന് അയച്ചവനെ നിങ്ങള് വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നില്ലല്ലോ.

37. And the father him silfe which hath sent me beareth witnes of me. Ye have not hearde his voyce at eny tyme nor ye have sene his shape:

38. നിങ്ങള് തിരുവെഴുത്തുകളെ ശോധനചെയ്യുന്നു; അവയില് നിങ്ങള്ക്കു നിത്യജീവന് ഉണ്ടു എന്നു നിങ്ങള് നിരൂപിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ; അവ എനിക്കു സാക്ഷ്യം പറയുന്നു.

38. therto his wordes have ye not abydinge in you. For whome he hath sent: him ye beleve not.

39. എങ്കിലും ജീവന് പ്രാപിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു എന്റെ അടുക്കല് വരുവാന് നിങ്ങള്ക്കു മനസ്സില്ല.

39. Searche the scriptures for in them ye thinke ye have eternall lyfe: and they are they which testify of me.

40. ഞാന് മനുഷ്യരോടു ബഹുമാനം വാങ്ങുന്നില്ല.

40. And yet will ye not come to me that ye might have lyfe.

41. എന്നാല് നിങ്ങള്ക്കു ഉള്ളില് ദൈവസ്നേഹം ഇല്ല എന്നു ഞാന് അറിഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു.

41. I receave not prayse of men.

42. ഞാന് എന്റെ പിതാവിന്റെ നാമത്തില് വന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്നെ നിങ്ങള് കൈക്കൊള്ളുന്നില്ല; മറ്റൊരുത്തന് സ്വന്തനാമത്തില് വന്നാല് അവനെ നിങ്ങള് കൈക്കൊള്ളും.

42. But I knowe you that ye have not the love of God in you

43. തമ്മില് തമ്മില് ബഹുമാനം വാങ്ങിക്കൊണ്ടു ഏകദൈവത്തിന്റെ പക്കല് നിന്നുള്ള ബഹുമാനം അന്വേഷിക്കാത്ത നിങ്ങള്ക്കു എങ്ങനെ വിശ്വസിപ്പാന് കഴിയും?

43. I am come in my fathers name and ye receave me not. Yf another shall come in his awne name him will ye receave.

44. ഞാന് പിതാവിന്റെ മുമ്പില് നിങ്ങളെ കുറ്റം ചുമത്തും എന്നു നിങ്ങള്ക്കു തോന്നരുതു. നിങ്ങളെ കുറ്റം ചുമത്തുന്നവന് ഉണ്ടു; നിങ്ങള് പ്രത്യാശ വെച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന മോശെ തന്നേ.

44. How can ye beleve which receave honoure one of another and seke not the honoure that commeth of God only?

45. നിങ്ങള് മോശെയെ വിശ്വസിച്ചു എങ്കില് എന്നെയും വിശ്വസിക്കുമായിരുന്നു; അവന് എന്നെക്കുറിച്ചു എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

45. Doo not thinke that I wyll accuse you to my father. Ther is one that accuseth you eve Moses in whom ye trust.
