1. അനന്തരം യേശു തിബെര്യ്യാസ് എന്ന ഗലീലക്കടലിന്റെ അക്കരെക്കു പോയി.

1. After these things, Jesus went away across the sea of Galilee, that is, of Tiberias;

2. അവന് രോഗികളില് ചെയ്യുന്ന അടയാളങ്ങളെ കണ്ടിട്ടു ഒരു വലിയ പുരുഷാരം അവന്റെ പിന്നാലെ ചെന്നു.

2. and there was following him a great multitude, because they had been viewing the signs which he did upon such as were sick.

3. യേശു മലയില് കയറി ശിഷ്യന്മാരോടുകൂടെ അവിടെ ഇരുന്നു.

3. But Jesus had gone up into the mountain, and, there, was sitting with his disciples.

4. യെഹൂദന്മാരുടെ പെസഹ പെരുന്നാള് അടുത്തിരുന്നു.

4. Now the passover was near, the feast of the Jews.

5. യേശു വലിയൊരു പുരുഷാരം തന്റെ അടുക്കല് വരുന്നതു കണ്ടിട്ടു ഫിലിപ്പൊസിനോടുഇവര്ക്കും തിന്നുവാന് നാം എവിടെ നിന്നു അപ്പം വാങ്ങും എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

5. So then Jesus, lifting up his eyes, and beholding that a great multitude was coming unto him, saith unto Philip Whence are we to buy loaves, that these may eat?

6. ഇതു അവനെ പരീക്ഷിപ്പാനത്രേ ചോദിച്ചതു; താന് എന്തു ചെയ്വാന് പോകുന്നു എന്നു താന് അറിഞ്ഞിരുന്നു.

6. But, this, he was saying, to test him; for, he himself, knew, what he was about to do.

7. ഫിലിപ്പൊസ് അവനോടുഔരോരുത്തന്നു അല്പമല്പം ലഭിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഇരുനൂറു പണത്തിന്നു അപ്പം മതിയാകയില്ല എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

7. Philip answered him Two hundred denaries-worth of loaves, are not sufficient for them, that, each one, may take, a little.

8. ശിഷ്യന്മാരില് ഒരുത്തനായി ശിമോന് പത്രൊസിന്റെ സഹോദരനായ അന്ത്രെയാസ് അവനോടു

8. One from among his disciples, Andrew, the brother of Simon Peter, saith unto him

9. ഇവിടെ ഒരു ബാലകന് ഉണ്ടു; അവന്റെ പക്കല് അഞ്ചു യവത്തപ്പവും രണ്ടു മീനും ഉണ്ടു; എങ്കിലും ഇത്രപേര്ക്കും അതു എന്തുള്ളു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

9. There is a little lad here, that hath five barley loaves, and two small fishes, but, these, what are they, for such numbers?

10. ആളുകളെ ഇരുത്തുവിന് എന്നു യേശു പറഞ്ഞു. ആ സ്ഥലത്തു വളരെ പുല്ലുണ്ടായിരുന്നു; അയ്യായിരത്തോളം പുരുഷന്മാര് ഇരുന്നു.

10. Jesus said Make the people recline. Now there was much grass in the place. So the men reclined, to the number of about five thousand.

11. പിന്നെ യേശു അപ്പം എടുത്തു വാഴ്ത്തി, ഇരുന്നവര്ക്കും പങ്കിട്ടുകൊടുത്തു; അങ്ങനെ തന്നേ മീനും വേണ്ടുന്നേടത്തോളം കൊടുത്തു.

11. Jesus therefore took the loaves, and, giving thanks, went on distributing unto them that reclined; in like manner, of the small fishes also: as much as they were wishing.

12. അവര്ക്കും തൃപ്തിയായശേഷം അവന് ശിഷ്യന്മാരോടുശേഷിച്ച കഷണം ഒന്നും നഷ്ടമാക്കാതെ ശേഖരിപ്പിന് എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

12. And, when they were well-filled, he saith unto his disciples Gather up the broken pieces left over, that nothing be lost.

13. അഞ്ചു യവത്തപ്പത്തില് തിന്നു ശേഷിച്ച കഷണം അവര് ശേഖരിച്ചു പന്ത്രണ്ടു കൊട്ട നിറച്ചെടുത്തു.

13. So they gathered them up, and filled twelve baskets, with broken pieces out of the five barley loaves, which were left over by them who had eaten.

14. അവന് ചെയ്ത അടയാളം ആളുകള് കണ്ടിട്ടുലോകത്തിലേക്കു വരുവാനുള്ള പ്രവാചകന് ഇവന് ആകുന്നു സത്യം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

14. The people, therefore, seeing what signs he wrought, began to say This, is, of a truth, the prophet who was to come into the world.

15. അവര് വന്നു തന്നെ പിടിച്ചു രാജാവാക്കുവാന് ഭാവിക്കുന്നു എന്നു യേശു അറിഞ്ഞിട്ടു പിന്നെയും തനിച്ചു മലയിലേക്കു വാങ്ങിപ്പോയി.

15. Jesus, therefore, getting to know that they were about to come, and seize him, that they might make him king, retired again into the mountain, himself, alone.

16. സന്ധ്യയായപ്പോള് ശിഷ്യന്മാര് കടല്പുറത്തേക്കു ഇറങ്ങി

16. But, when evening came, his disciples went down unto the sea;

17. പടകുകയറി കടലക്കരെ കഫര്ന്നഹൂമിലേക്കു യാത്രയായി; ഇരുട്ടായശേഷവും യേശു അവരുടെ അടുക്കല് വന്നിരുന്നില്ല.

17. and, entering into a boat, were going across the sea into Capernaum. And, dark, already, had it become, and, not yet, had Jesus reached them;

18. കൊടുങ്കാറ്റു അടിക്കയാല് കടല് കോപിച്ചു.

18. moreover the sea, by reason of a great wind that blew, was rising high.

19. അവര് നാലു അഞ്ചു നാഴിക ദൂരത്തോളം വലിച്ചശേഷം യേശു കടലിന്മേല് നടന്നു പടകിനോടു സമീപിക്കുന്നതു കണ്ടു പേടിച്ചു.

19. Having therefore rowed about twenty-five or thirty furlongs, they observe Jesus, walking upon the sea, and, near the boat, coming; and they were affrighted.

20. അവന് അവരോടുഞാന് ആകുന്നു; പേടിക്കേണ്ടാ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

20. But, he, saith unto them It is, I: be not affrighted!

21. അവര് അവനെ പടകില് കയറ്റുവാന് ഇച്ഛിച്ചു; ഉടനെ പടകു അവര് പോകുന്ന ദേശത്തു എത്തിപ്പോയി.

21. They were willing, therefore, to receive him into the boat; and, straightway, the boat was at land, whither they had been slowly going.

22. പിറ്റെന്നാള് കടല്ക്കരെ നിന്ന പുരുഷാരം ഒരു പടകല്ലാതെ അവിടെ വേറെ ഇല്ലായിരുന്നു എന്നും, യേശു ശിഷ്യന്മാരോടുകൂടെ പടകില് കയറാതെ ശിഷ്യന്മാര് മാത്രം പോയിരുന്നു എന്നും ഗ്രഹിച്ചു.

22. On the morrow, the multitude that was standing on the other side of the sea, saw that there was not, another small-boat, there, save one, and that Jesus entered not, along with his disciples, unto the boat, but that, alone, his disciples departed:

23. എന്നാല് കര്ത്താവു വാഴ്ത്തീട്ടു അവര് അപ്പം തിന്ന സ്ഥലത്തിന്നരികെ തിബെര്യ്യാസില്നിന്നു ചെറുപടകുകള് എത്തിയിരുന്നു.

23. howbeit there came boats out of Tiberias, near the place where they did eat the bread, after the Lord had given thanks:

24. യേശു അവിടെ ഇല്ല ശിഷ്യന്മാരും ഇല്ല എന്നു പുരുഷാരം കണ്ടപ്പോള് തങ്ങളും പടകു കയറി യേശുവിനെ തിരഞ്ഞു കഫര്ന്നഹൂമില് എത്തി.

24. When, therefore, the multitude saw, that, Jesus, was not there, nor yet his disciples, they themselves, got into the small boats, and came unto Capernaum, seeking Jesus;

25. കടലക്കരെ അവനെ കണ്ടെത്തിയപ്പോള്റബ്ബീ, നീ എപ്പോള് ഇവിടെ വന്നു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു. അതിന്നുയേശു

25. and, finding him on the other side of the sea, they said unto him Rabbi! when, camest thou, hither?

26. ആമേന് , ആമേന് , ഞാന് നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നുനിങ്ങള് അടയാളം കണ്ടതുകൊണ്ടല്ല, അപ്പം തിന്നു തൃപ്തരായതുകൊണ്ടത്രേ എന്നെ അന്വേഷിക്കുന്നതു.

26. Jesus answered them, and said Verily, verily, I say unto you: Ye seek me, not because ye saw signs, but because ye did eat of the loaves and were filled.

27. നശിച്ചുപോകുന്ന ആഹാരത്തിന്നായിട്ടല്ല, നിത്യജീവങ്കലേക്കു നിലനിലക്കുന്ന ആഹാരത്തിന്നായിട്ടു തന്നേ പ്രവര്ത്തിപ്പിന് ; അതു മനുഷ്യ പുത്രന് നിങ്ങള്ക്കു തരും. അവനെ പിതാവായ ദൈവം മുദ്രയിട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

27. Be working, not for the food that perisheth, but for the food that endureth unto life age-abiding, which, the Son of Man, unto you, will give; for upon, the same, hath the Father, even God, set his seal.

28. അവര് അവനോടു ദൈവത്തിന്നു പ്രസാദമുള്ള പ്രവൃത്തികളെ പ്രവര്ത്തിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഞങ്ങള് എന്തു ചെയ്യേണം എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

28. They said, therefore, unto him What are we to do, that we may be working the works of God?

29. യേശു അവരോടുദൈവത്തിന്നു പ്രസാദമുള്ള പ്രവൃത്തി അവന് അയച്ചവനില് നിങ്ങള് വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നതത്രേ എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

29. Jesus answered, and said unto them This, is the work of God: that ye believe on him whom, he, hath sent forth.

30. അവര് അവനോടുഞങ്ങള് കണ്ടു നിന്നെ വിശ്വസിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നീ എന്തു അടയാളം ചെയ്യുന്നു? എന്തു പ്രവര്ത്തിക്കുന്നു?

30. They said, therefore, unto him What, then, art, thou, doing, by way of sign, that we may see, and believe in thee: what art thou working?

31. നമ്മുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാര് മരുഭൂമിയില് മന്നാ തിന്നു; അവര്ക്കും തിന്നുവാന് സ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തില് നിന്നു അപ്പം കൊടുത്തു എന്നു എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

31. Our fathers, did eat, the manna, in the desert, just as it is written: Bread out of heaven, he gave them to eat.

32. യേശു അവരോടുആമേന് , ആമേന് , ഞാന് നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നുസ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തില്നിന്നുള്ള അപ്പം മോശെയല്ല നിങ്ങള്ക്കു തന്നതു, എന്റെ പിതാവത്രേ സ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തില്നിന്നുള്ള സാക്ഷാല് അപ്പം നിങ്ങള്ക്കു തരുന്നതു.

32. Jesus said unto them Verily, verily, I say unto you: Not Moses, gave you the bread out of heaven; but, my Father, giveth you the real bread out of heaven.

33. ദൈവത്തിന്റെ അപ്പമോ സ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തില്നിന്നു ഇറങ്ങിവന്നു ലോകത്തിന്നു ജീവനെ കൊടുക്കുന്നതു ആകുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

33. For, the bread of God, is that which is coming down out of heaven, and giving, life, unto the world.

34. അവര് അവനോടുകര്ത്താവേ, ഈ അപ്പം എപ്പോഴും ഞങ്ങള്ക്കു തരേണമേ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

34. They said, therefore, unto him Sir! Evermore, give us this bread.

35. യേശു അവരോടുപറഞ്ഞതുഞാന് ജീവന്റെ അപ്പം ആകുന്നു; എന്റെ അടുക്കല് വരുന്നവന്നു വിശക്കയില്ല; എന്നില് വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നവന്നു ഒരു നാളും ദാഹിക്കയുമില്ല.

35. Jesus said unto them I, am the bread of life: he that cometh unto me, in nowise shall hunger, and, he that believeth on me, in nowise shall thirst, any more.

36. എന്നാല് നിങ്ങള് എന്നെ കണ്ടിട്ടും വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നില്ല എന്നു ഞാന് നിങ്ങളോടു പറഞ്ഞുവല്ലോ.

36. But I told you Ye have even seen me , and yet do not believe.

37. പിതാവു എനിക്കു തരുന്നതു ഒക്കെയും എന്റെ അടുക്കല് വരും; എന്റെ അടുക്കല് വരുന്നവനെ ഞാന് ഒരുനാളും തള്ളിക്കളകയില്ല.

37. All that which the Father is giving me, unto me, will have come, and, him that cometh unto me, in nowise will I cast out,

38. ഞാന് എന്റെ ഇഷ്ടമല്ല, എന്നെ അയച്ചവന്റെ ഇഷ്ടമത്രേ ചെയ്വാന് സ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തില്നിന്നു ഇറങ്ങിവന്നിരിക്കുന്നതു.

38. Because I have come down from heaven, Not that I should be doing my own will, but the will of him that sent me.

39. അവന് എനിക്കു തന്നതില് ഒന്നും ഞാന് കളയാതെ എല്ലാം ഒടുക്കത്തെ നാളില് ഉയിര്ത്തെഴുന്നേല്പിക്കേണം എന്നാകുന്നു എന്നെ അയച്ചവന്റെ ഇഷ്ടം.

39. And, this, is the will of him that sent me, That, of all that which he hath given me, I should lose nothing, but should raise it up at the last day.

40. പുത്രനെ നോക്കിക്കൊണ്ടു അവനില് വിശ്വസിക്കുന്ന ഏവന്നും നിത്യജീവന് ഉണ്ടാകേണമെന്നാകുന്നു എന്റെ പിതാവിന്റെ ഇഷ്ടം; ഞാന് അവനെ ഒടുക്കത്തെ നാളില് ഉയിര്ത്തെഴുന്നേല്പിക്കും.

40. For, this, is the will of my Father, That, every one that vieweth the Son, and believeth on him, should have life age-abiding, and, I, should raise him up, at the last day.

41. ഞാന് സ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തില്നിന്നു ഇറങ്ങിവന്ന അപ്പം എന്നു അവന് പറഞ്ഞതിനാല് യെഹൂദന്മാര് അവനെക്കുറിച്ചു പിറുപിറുത്തു

41. The Jews, therefore, began to murmur concerning him, because he said I, am the bread that came down out of heaven;

42. ഇവന് യോസേഫിന്റെ പുത്രനായ യേശു അല്ലയോ? അവന്റെ അപ്പനെയും അമ്മയെയും നാം അറിയുന്നുവല്ലോ; പിന്നെ ഞാന് സ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തില്നിന്നു ഇറങ്ങിവന്നു എന്നു അവന് പറയുന്നതു എങ്ങനെ എന്നു അവര് പറഞ്ഞു.

42. and were saying Is not, this, Jesus, the son of Joseph, of whom, we, know the father and the mother! How is it then, that he, now, saith: Out of heaven, have I come down?

43. യേശു അവരോടു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞതുനിങ്ങള് തമ്മില് പിറുപിറുക്കേണ്ടാ;

43. Jesus answered, and said unto them Be not murmuring, one with another:

44. എന്നെ അയച്ച പിതാവു ആകര്ഷിച്ചിട്ടില്ലാതെ ആര്ക്കും എന്റെ അടുക്കല് വരുവാന് കഴികയില്ല; ഞാന് ഒടുക്കത്തെ നാളില് അവനെ ഉയിര്ത്തെഴുന്നേല്പിക്കും.

44. No one, can come unto me, except, the Father who sent me, draw him, and, I, will raise him up, in the last day.

45. എല്ലാവരും ദൈവത്താല് ഉപദേശിക്കപ്പെട്ടവര് ആകും എന്നു പ്രവാചകപുസ്തകങ്ങളില് എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നു. പിതാവിനോടു കേട്ടുപഠിച്ചവന് എല്ലാം എന്റെ അടുക്കല് വരും.

45. It is written in the prophets, And they shall be, all, the instructed of God: Every one who hath heard of the Father, and learned, cometh unto me.

46. പിതാവിനെ ആരെങ്കിലും കണ്ടിട്ടുണ്ടു എന്നല്ല, ദൈവത്തിന്റെ അടുക്കല് നിന്നു വന്നവന് മാത്രമേ പിതാവിനെ കണ്ടിട്ടുള്ള.

46. Not that any one hath seen, the Father, save he who is from God, this one, hath seen the Father.

47. ആമേന് , ആമേന് , ഞാന് നിങ്ങളൊടു പറയുന്നുവിശ്വസിക്കുന്നവന്നു നിത്യജീവന് ഉണ്ടു.

47. Verily, verily, I say unto you: He that believeth, hath life age-abiding.

48. ഞാന് ജീവന്റെ അപ്പം ആകുന്നു.

48. I am the bread of life:

49. നിങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാര് മരുഭൂമിയില് മന്നാ തിന്നിട്ടും മരിച്ചുവല്ലോ.

49. Your fathers, did eat, in the desert, the manna, and died:

50. ഇതോ തിന്നുന്നവന് മരിക്കാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു സ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തില്നിന്നു ഇറങ്ങുന്ന അപ്പം ആകുന്നു.

50. This, is the bread which, out of heaven, cometh down, that one, thereof, may eat, and not die.

51. സ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തില്നിന്നു ഇറങ്ങിയ ജീവനുള്ള അപ്പം ഞാന് ആകുന്നു; ഈ അപ്പം തിന്നുന്നവന് എല്ലാം എന്നേക്കും ജീവിക്കും; ഞാന് കൊടുപ്പാനിരിക്കുന്ന അപ്പമോ ലോകത്തിന്റെ ജീവന്നു വേണ്ടി ഞാന് കൊടുക്കുന്ന എന്റെ മാംസം ആകുന്നു.

51. I, am the living bread, which, out of heaven, came down: If one eat of this bread, he shall live unto times age-abiding; and, the bread, moreover, which, I, will give, is, my flesh for the world's life.

52. ആകയാല് യെഹൂദന്മാര്നമുക്കു തന്റെ മാംസം തിന്നേണ്ടതിന്നു തരുവാന് ഇവന്നു എങ്ങനെ കഴിയും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു തമ്മില് വാദിച്ചു.

52. The Jews, therefore, began to strive one with another, saying How can this one, unto us, give his flesh to eat?

53. യേശു അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞതുആമേന് , ആമേന് , ഞാന് നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നുനിങ്ങള് മനുഷ്യപുത്രന്റെ മാംസം തിന്നാതെയും അവന്റെ രക്തം കുടിക്കാതെയും ഇരുന്നാല് നിങ്ങള്ക്കു ഉള്ളില് ജീവന് ഇല്ല.

53. Jesus, therefore, said unto them Verily, verily, I say unto you Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of Man, and drink his blood, ye have not life within yourselves.

54. എന്റെ മാംസം തിന്നുകയും എന്റെ രക്തം കുടിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നവന്നു നിത്യജീവന് ഉണ്ടു; ഞാന് ഒടുക്കത്തെ നാളില് അവനെ ഉയിര്ത്തെഴുന്നേല്പിക്കും.

54. He that feedeth upon my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath life age-abiding, and, I, will raise him up at the last day;

55. എന്റെ മാംസം സാക്ഷാല് ഭക്ഷണവും എന്റെ രക്തം സാക്ഷാല് പാനീയവും ആകുന്നു.

55. For, my flesh, is, true, food, and, my blood, is, true, drink:

56. എന്റെ മാംസം തിന്നുകയും എന്റെ രക്തം കുടിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നവന് എന്നിലും ഞാന് അവനിലും വസിക്കുന്നു.

56. He that feedeth upon my flesh, and drinketh my blood, in me, abideth, and, I, in him.

57. ജീവനുള്ള പിതാവു എന്നെ അയച്ചിട്ടു ഞാന് പിതാവിന് മൂലം ജീവിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ എന്നെ തിന്നുന്നവന് എന് മൂലം ജീവിക്കും.

57. Just as the living Father sent me, and I live by reason of the Father, he also that feedeth upon me, even he, shall live by reason of me.

58. സ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തില് നിന്നു ഇറങ്ങിവന്ന അപ്പം ഇതു ആകുന്നു; പിതാക്കന്മാര് തിന്നുകയും മരിക്കയും ചെയ്തതുപോലെ അല്ല; ഈ അപ്പം തിന്നുന്നവന് എന്നേക്കും ജീവിക്കും.

58. This, is the bread, which, out of heaven, came down: Not just as your fathers did eat and died! He that feedeth upon this bread, shall live unto times age-abiding.

59. അവന് കഫര്ന്നഹൂമില് ഉപദേശിക്കുമ്പോള് പള്ളിയില്വെച്ചു ഇതു പറഞ്ഞു.

59. These things, said he, as, in a synagogue, he was teaching, in Capernaum.

60. അവന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാര് പലരും അതു കേട്ടിട്ടുഇതു കഠിനവാക്കു, ഇതു ആര്ക്കും കേള്പ്പാന് കഴിയും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

60. Many, of his disciples, therefore, when they heard, said Hard, is this discourse, Who can, thereunto, hearken?

61. ശിഷ്യന്മാര് അതിനെച്ചൊല്ലി പിറുപിറുക്കുന്നതു യേശു തന്നില്തന്നേ അറിഞ്ഞു അവരോടുഇതു നിങ്ങള്ക്കു ഇടര്ച്ച ആകുന്നുവോ?

61. But Jesus, knowing within himself that his disciples were murmuring concerning this, said unto them Doth, this, cause, you, to stumble?

62. മനുഷ്യ പുത്രന് മുമ്പെ ഇരുന്നേടത്തേക്കു കയറിപ്പോകുന്നതു നിങ്ങള് കണ്ടാലോ?

62. What then, if ye should view the Son of Man ascending where he was before?

63. ജീവിപ്പിക്കുന്നതു ആത്മാവു ആകുന്നു; മാംസം ഒന്നിന്നും ഉപകരിക്കുന്നില്ല; ഞാന് നിങ്ങളോടു സംസാരിച്ച വചനങ്ങള് ആത്മാവും ജീവനും ആകുന്നു.

63. The spirit, it is, that giveth life, the flesh, profiteth, nothing: The declarations which, I, have spoken unto you, are, spirit, and, are, life.

64. എങ്കിലും വിശ്വസിക്കാത്തവര് നിങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയില് ഉണ്ടു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു — വിശ്വസിക്കാത്തവര് ഇന്നവര് എന്നും തന്നെ കാണിച്ചു കൊടുക്കുന്നവന് ഇന്നവന് എന്നും യേശു ആദിമുതല് അറിഞ്ഞിരുന്നു —

64. But there are some from among you, who do not believe. For Jesus knew from the beginning, who they were that did not believe, and who it was would deliver him up;

65. ഇതു ഹേതുവായിട്ടത്രേ ഞാന് നിങ്ങളോടുപിതാവു കൃപ നല്കീട്ടല്ലാതെ ആര്ക്കും എന്റെ അടുക്കല് വരുവാന് കഴികയില്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞതു എന്നും അവന് പറഞ്ഞു.

65. and he went on to say For this cause, have I said unto you: No one, can come unto me, except it have been given him, of the Father.

66. അന്നുമുതല് അവന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാരില് പലരും പിന് വാങ്ങിപ്പോയി, പിന്നെ അവനോടു കൂടെ സഞ്ചരിച്ചില്ല.

66. Because of this, many from among his disciples, went away back, and, no longer, with him, were walking.

67. ആകയാല് യേശു പന്തിരുവരോടുനിങ്ങള്ക്കും പൊയ്ക്കൊള്വാന് മനസ്സുണ്ടോ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

67. Jesus, therefore, said unto the twelve Are, ye also, wishing to withdraw?

68. ശിമോന് പത്രൊസ് അവനോടുകര്ത്താവേ, ഞങ്ങള് ആരുടെ അടുക്കല് പോകും? നിത്യജീവന്റെ വചനങ്ങള് നിന്റെ പക്കല് ഉണ്ടു.

68. Simon Peter answered him Lord! unto whom, shall we go? Declarations o life age-abiding, thou hast;

69. നീ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ പരിശുദ്ധന് എന്നു ഞങ്ങള് വിശ്വസിച്ചും അറിഞ്ഞും ഇരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

69. And, we, have believed, and come to know, that, thou, art the Holy One of God.

70. യേശു അവരോടുനിങ്ങളെ പന്ത്രണ്ടു പേരെ ഞാന് തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തില്ലയോ? എങ്കിലും നിങ്ങളില് ഒരുത്തന് ഒരു പിശാചു ആകുന്നു എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു. ഇതു അവന് ശിമോന് ഈസ്കര്യയ്യോര്ത്താവിന്റെ മകനായ യൂദയെക്കുറിച്ചു പറഞ്ഞു.

70. Jesus answered them Did not, I, make choice, of you, the twelve? And yet, from among you, one, is, an adversary.

71. ഇവന് പന്തിരുവരില് ഒരുത്തന് എങ്കിലും അവനെ കാണിച്ചുകൊടുപ്പാനുള്ളവന് ആയിരുന്നു.

71. Now he was speaking of Judas, son of Simon Iscariot: for, the same, was about to deliver him up, one of the twelve.
