1. ഒരിക്കല് പത്രൊസും യോഹന്നാനും ഒമ്പതാം മണിനേരം പ്രാര്ത്ഥനാസമയത്തു ദൈവാലയത്തിലേകു ചെല്ലുമ്പോള്

1. Peter and John went up together into the temple at the ninth hour of prayer:

2. അമ്മയുടെ ഗര്ഭം മുതല് മുടന്തനായ ഒരാളെ ചിലര് ചുമന്നു കൊണ്ടു വന്നു; അവനെ ദൈവാലയത്തില് ചെല്ലുന്നവരോടു ഭിക്ഷ യാചിപ്പാന് സുന്ദരം എന്ന ദൈവാലയഗോപുരത്തിങ്കല് ദിനംപ്രതി ഇരുത്തുമാറുണ്ടു.

2. And there was a certain man halt from his mother's womb, whom they brought and laid at the gate of the temple called beautiful, to ask his alms of them that entered into the temple.

3. അവന് പത്രൊസും യോഹന്നാനും ദൈവാലയത്തില് കടപ്പാന് പോകുന്നതു കണ്ടിട്ടു ഭിക്ഷ ചോദിച്ചു.

3. (Which same) When he saw Peter and John, that they would into the temple, he desired to receive an alms;

4. പത്രൊസ് യോഹന്നാനോടുകൂടെ അവനെ ഉറ്റുനോക്കിഞങ്ങളെ നോകൂ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

4. (And) Peter fastened his eyes on(beheld) him with John and said: look on us,

5. അവന് വല്ലതും കിട്ടും എന്നു കരുതി അവരെ സൂക്ഷിച്ചു നോക്കി.

5. and he gave heed unto them, trusting(hoping) to receive something of them.

6. അപ്പോള് പത്രൊസ്വെള്ളിയും പൊന്നും എനിക്കില്ല; എനിക്കുള്ളതു നിനക്കു തരുന്നുനസറായനായ യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ നാമത്തില് നടക്ക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു

6. Then said Peter: Silver and gold have I none, such as I have give I thee. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.

7. അവനെ വലങ്കൈകൂ പിടിച്ചു എഴുന്നേല്പിച്ചു; ക്ഷണത്തില് അവന്റെ കാലും നരിയാണിയും ഉറെച്ചു അവന് കുതിച്ചെഴുന്നേറ്റു നടന്നു;

7. And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up. And immediately his feet and anklebones received strength,

8. നടന്നും തുള്ളിയും ദൈവത്തെ പുകഴ്ത്തിയും കൊണ്ടു അവരോടുകൂടെ ദൈവാലയത്തില് കടന്നു.

8. and he sprang, stood, and also walked, and entered with them into the temple walking, and leaping, and lauding(praising) God.

9. അവന് നടക്കുന്നതും ദൈവത്ത പുകഴ്ത്തുന്നതും ജനം ഒക്കെയും കണ്ടു,

9. And all the people saw him walk and laud(praise) God.

10. ഇവന് സുന്ദരം എന്ന ദൈവാലയഗോപുരത്തിങ്കല് ഭിക്ഷ യാചിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു ഇരുന്നവന് എന്നു അറിഞ്ഞു അവന്നു സംഭവിച്ചതിനെകുറിച്ചു വിസ്മയവും പരിഭ്രമവും നിറഞ്ഞവരായീതീര്ന്നു.

10. And they knew him, that it was he which sat and begged(for alms) at the beautiful gate of the temple. And they wondered, and were sore astonied at that which had happened unto him.

11. അവന് പത്രൊസിനോടും യോഹന്നാനോടും ചേര്ന്നു നിലക്കുമ്പോള് ജനം എല്ലാം വിസ്മയംപൂണ്ടു ശലോമോന്റേതു എന്നു പേരുള്ള മണ്ഡപത്തില് അവരുടെ അടുക്കല് ഔടിക്കൂടി.

11. (And) As the halt which was healed held Peter and John, all the people ran amazed unto them in Solomon's hall.(porch.)

12. അതു കണ്ടിട്ടു പത്രൊസ് ജനങ്ങളോടു പറഞ്ഞതുയിസ്രായേല് പുരുഷന്മാരേ, ഇതിങ്കല് ആശ്ചര്യപ്പെടുന്നത് എന്തു? ഞങ്ങളുടെ സ്വന്ത ശക്തികൊണ്ടോ ഭക്തികൊണ്ടോ ഇവനെ നടക്കുമാറാക്കി എന്നപോലെ ഞങ്ങളെ ഉറ്റു നോക്കുന്നതും എന്തു?

12. When Peter saw that, he answered unto the people: Ye men of Israel, why marvel ye at this? Or why look ye so steadfastly on us, as though by our own power, or holiness(or deserving) we had made this man go?(to walk)

13. അബ്രാഹാമിന്റെയും യിസ്ഹാക്കിന്റെയും യാക്കോബിന്റെയും ദൈവമായ നമ്മുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരുടെ ദൈവം തന്റെ ദാസനായ യേശുവിനെ മഹത്വപ്പെടുത്തി; അവനെ നിങ്ങള് ഏല്പിച്ചുകൊടുക്കയും അവനെ വിട്ടയപ്പാന് വിധിച്ച പീലാത്തൊസിന്റെ മുമ്പില്വെച്ചു തള്ളിപ്പറയുകയും ചെയ്തു.

13. (The) God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the God of our fathers hath glorified his son Jesus, whom ye betrayed,(delivered) and denied in the presence of Pilate, when he had judged him to be loosed:(lowsed)

14. പരിശുദ്ധനും നീതിമാനുമായവനെ നിങ്ങള് തള്ളിപ്പറഞ്ഞു, കുലപാതകനായവനെ വിട്ടുതരേണം എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു, ജീവനായകനെ കൊന്നുകളഞ്ഞു.

14. but ye denied the holy and just, and desired that he should give you a murderer,(and desired a murderer to be given you)

15. അവനെ ദൈവം മരിച്ചവരില്നിന്നു, എഴുന്നേല്പിച്ചു; അതിന്നു ഞങ്ങള് സാക്ഷികള് ആകുന്നു.

15. and killed the Lord(ye slew the prince) of life whom God hath raised from death, of the which we are witnesses:

16. അവന്റെ നാമത്തിലെ വിശ്വാസത്താല് അവന്റെ നാമം തന്നേ നിങ്ങള് കാണ്കയും അറികയും ചെയ്യുന്ന ഇവന് ബലം പ്രാപിപ്പാന് കാരണമായി തീര്ന്നു; അവന് മുഖാന്തരമുള്ള വിശ്വാസം ഇന്നു നിങ്ങള് എല്ലാവരും കാണ്കെ ഈ ആരോഗ്യം വരുവാന് ഹേതുവായി തീര്ന്നു.

16. And his name thorow the faith of his name hath made this man sound(hath he confirmed his name upon this man) whom ye see and know. And the faith which is by him, hath to this man(him) given this health, in the presence of you all.(before your eyes)

17. സഹോദരന്മാരേ, നിങ്ങളുടെ പ്രമാണികളെപ്പോലെ നിങ്ങളും അറിയായ്മകൊണ്ടു പ്രവര്ത്തിച്ചു എന്നു ഞാന് അറിയുന്നു.

17. And now (dear) brethren I wot well(know) that thorow ignorance ye have done(did) it, as did also your heads.(rulers)

18. ദൈവമോ തന്റെ ക്രിസ്തു കഷ്ടം അനുഭവിക്കും എന്നു സകല പ്രവാചകന്മാരും മുഖാന്തരം മുന്നറിയിച്ചതു ഇങ്ങനെ നിവര്ത്തിച്ചു.

18. But(those things which) God which(had) shewed before by the mouth of all his prophets(how) that Christ should suffer, (he) hath thus wise fulfilled it.

19. ആകയാല് നിങ്ങളുടെ പാപങ്ങള് മാഞ്ഞുകിട്ടേണ്ടതിന്നു മാനസാന്തരപ്പെട്ടു തിരിഞ്ഞുകൊള്വിന് ; എന്നാല് കര്ത്താവിന്റെ സമ്മുഖത്തുനിന്നു

19. Repent ye therefore and turn that your sins may be done away when the time of comfort(refreshing) cometh, which we shall have of the presence of the Lord,

20. ആശ്വാസകാലങ്ങള് വരികയും നിങ്ങള്ക്കു മുന് നിയമിക്കപ്പെട്ട ക്രിസ്തുവായ യേശുവിനെ അവന് അയക്കയും ചെയ്യും.

20. and when God shall send him, which before was preached unto you,

21. ദൈവം ലോകാരംഭം മുതല് തന്റെ വിശുദ്ധപ്രവാചകന്മാര് മുഖാന്തരം അരുളിചെയ്തതു ഒക്കെയും യഥാസ്ഥാനത്താകുന്ന കാലം വരുവോളം സ്വര്ഗ്ഗം അവനെ കൈക്കൊള്ളേണ്ടതാകുന്നു.

21. that is to wit Jesus Christ, which must heaven receive(receive heaven) until the time that all things be restored again, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began.(,be restored again.)

22. “ദൈവമായ കര്ത്താവു നിങ്ങളുടെ സഹോദരന്മാരില്നിന്നു എന്നെപ്പോലെ ഒരു പ്രവാചകനെ നിങ്ങള്ക്കു എഴുന്നേല്പിച്ചുതരും; അവന് നിങ്ങളോടു സംസാരിക്കുന്ന സകലത്തിലും നിങ്ങള് അവന്റെ വാക്കു കേള്ക്കേണം.”

22. For Moses said unto the fathers: A prophet shall your(the) Lord(your) God raise up unto you, one(even) of your brethren, like unto me, him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you.

23. ആ പ്രവാചകന്റെ വാക്കു കേള്ക്കാത്ത ഏവനും ജനത്തിന്റെ ഇടയില് നിന്നു ഛേദിക്കപ്പെടും.” എന്നു മോശെ പറഞ്ഞു വല്ലോ.

23. For the time will come,(shall come to pass) that every soul which shall not hear that same prophet, shall be exiled(destroyed) from (among) the people.

24. അത്രയുമല്ല ശമൂവേല് ആദിയായി സംസാരിച്ച പ്രവാചകന്മാര് ഒക്കെയും ഈ കാലത്തെക്കുറിച്ചു പ്രസ്താവിച്ചു.

24. Also all the prophets from Samuel, and thenceforth, as many as have spoken, have in likewise told of these days.

25. “ഭൂമിയിലെ സകലവംശങ്ങളും നിന്റെ സന്തതിയില് അനുഗ്രഹിക്കപ്പെടും.” എന്നു ദൈവം അബ്രാഹാമിനോടു അരുളി നിങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരോടു ചെയ്ത നിയമത്തിന്റെയും പ്രവാചകന്മാരുടെയും മക്കള് നിങ്ങള് തന്നേ.

25. Ye are the children of the prophets, and to you pertaineth the testament that(and of the covenant, which) God hath made unto our fathers saying to Abraham: Even in thy seed shall all the kindreds of the earth be blessed.

26. നിങ്ങള്ക്കു ആദ്യമേ ദൈവം തന്റെ ദാസനായ യേശുവിനെ എഴുന്നേല്പിച്ചു ഔരോരുത്തനെ അവനവന്റെ അകൃത്യങ്ങളില് നിന്നു തിരിക്കുന്നതിനാല് നിങ്ങളെ അനുഗ്രഹിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവനെ അയച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

26. First unto you hath God raised up his son Jesus, and him he hath sent to bless you, that every one of you should turn from his(your) wickedness.
