1. കര്ത്തൃസേവനിമിത്തം ബദ്ധനായിരിക്കുന്ന ഞാന് പ്രബോധിപ്പിക്കുന്നതുനിങ്ങളെ വിളിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന വിളിക്കു യോഗ്യമാംവണ്ണം

1. As a prisoner of the Lord, I beg you to live in a way that is worthy of the people God has chosen to be his own.

2. പൂര്ണ്ണവിനയത്തോടും സൌമ്യതയോടും ദീര്ഘക്ഷമയോടുംകൂടെ നടക്കയും സ്നേഹത്തില് അന്യോന്യം പൊറുക്കയും

2. Always be humble and gentle. Patiently put up with each other and love each other.

3. ആത്മാവിന്റെ ഐക്യത സമാധാനബന്ധത്തില് കാപ്പാന് ശ്രമിക്കയും ചെയ്വിന് .

3. Try your best to let God's Spirit keep your hearts united. Do this by living at peace.

4. നിങ്ങളെ വിളിച്ചപ്പോള് ഏകപ്രത്യാശെക്കായി നിങ്ങളെ വിളിച്ചതുപോലെ ശരീരം ഒന്നു, ആത്മാവു ഒന്നു,

4. All of you are part of the same body. There is only one Spirit of God, just as you were given one hope when you were chosen to be God's people.

5. കര്ത്താവു ഒരുവന് , വിശ്വാസം ഒന്നു, സ്നാനം ഒന്നു, എല്ലാവര്ക്കും മീതെയുള്ളവനും

5. We have only one Lord, one faith, and one baptism.

6. എല്ലാവരിലും കൂടി വ്യാപരിക്കുന്നവനും എല്ലാവരിലും ഇരിക്കുന്നവനുമായി എല്ലാവര്ക്കും ദൈവവും പിതാവുമായവന് ഒരുവന് .

6. There is one God who is the Father of all people. Not only is God above all others, but he works by using all of us, and he lives in all of us.

7. എന്നാല് നമ്മില് ഔരോരുത്തന്നു ക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ ദാനത്തിന്റെ അളവിന്നു ഒത്തവണ്ണം കൃപ ലഭിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

7. Christ has generously divided out his gifts to us.

8. അതുകൊണ്ടു“അവന് ബദ്ധന്മാരെ പിടിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു പോയി ഉയരത്തില് കയറി മനുഷ്യര്ക്കും ദാനങ്ങളെ കൊടുത്തു” എന്നു പറയുന്നു.

8. As the Scriptures say, 'When he went up to the highest place, he led away many prisoners and gave gifts to people.'

9. When it says, 'he went up,' it means that Christ had been deep in the earth.

10. ഇറങ്ങിയവന് സകലത്തെയും നിറെക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു സ്വര്ഗ്ഗാധിസ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തിന്നു മീതെ കയറിയവനും ആകുന്നു.

10. This also means that the one who went deep into the earth is the same one who went into the highest heaven, so that he would fill the whole universe.

11. അവന് ചിലരെ അപ്പൊസ്തലന്മാരായും ചിലരെ പ്രവാചകന്മാരായും ചിലരെ സുവിശേഷകന്മാരായും ചിലരെ ഇടയന്മാരായും ഉപദേഷ്ടാക്കന്മാരായും നിയമിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു;

11. Christ chose some of us to be apostles, prophets, missionaries, pastors, and teachers,

12. അതു നാം എല്ലാവരും വിശ്വാസത്തിലും ദൈവപുത്രനെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള പരിജ്ഞാനത്തിലുമുള്ള ഐക്യതയും തികഞ്ഞ പുരുഷത്വവും ക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ സമ്പൂര്ണ്ണതയായ പ്രായത്തിന്റെ അളവും പ്രാപിക്കുവോളം

12. so that his people would learn to serve and his body would grow strong.

13. വിശുദ്ധന്മാരുടെ യഥാസ്ഥാനത്തിന്നായുള്ള ശുശ്രൂഷയുടെ വേലെക്കും ക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ ശരീരത്തിന്റെ ആത്മികവര്ദ്ധനെക്കും ആകുന്നു.

13. This will continue until we are united by our faith and by our understanding of the Son of God. Then we will be mature, just as Christ is, and we will be completely like him.

14. അങ്ങനെ നാം ഇനി മനുഷ്യരുടെ ചതിയാലും ഉപായത്താലും തെറ്റിച്ചുകളയുന്ന തന്ത്രങ്ങളില് കുടുങ്ങിപ്പോകുവാന് തക്കവണ്ണം ഉപദേശത്തിന്റെ ഔരോ കാറ്റിനാല് അലഞ്ഞുഴലുന്ന ശിശുക്കള് ആയിരിക്കാതെ

14. We must stop acting like children. We must not let deceitful people trick us by their false teachings, which are like winds that toss us around from place to place.

15. സ്നേഹത്തില് സത്യം സംസാരിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു ക്രിസ്തു എന്ന തലയോളം സകലത്തിലും വളരുവാന് ഇടയാകും.

15. Love should always make us tell the truth. Then we will grow in every way and be more like Christ, the head

16. ശരീരം മുഴുവനും യുക്തമായി ചേര്ന്നും ഏകീഭവിച്ചും ഔരോ അംഗത്തിന്റെ അതതു വ്യാപാരത്തിന്നു ഒത്തവണ്ണം ഉതവി ലഭിപ്പാനുള്ള ഏതു സന്ധിയാലും സ്നേഹത്തിലുള്ള വര്ദ്ധനെക്കായി അവനില് നിന്നു വളര്ച്ച പ്രാപിക്കുന്നു.

16. of the body. Christ holds it together and makes all of its parts work perfectly, as it grows and becomes strong because of love.

17. ആകയാല് ഞാന് കര്ത്താവില് സാക്ഷീകരിച്ചു പറയുന്നതു എന്തെന്നാല്ജാതികള് തങ്ങളുടെ വ്യര്ത്ഥബുദ്ധി അനുസരിച്ചു നടക്കുന്നതുപോലെ നിങ്ങള് ഇനി നടക്കരുതു.

17. As a follower of the Lord, I order you to stop living like stupid, godless people.

18. അവര് അന്ധബുദ്ധികളായി അജ്ഞാനം നിമിത്തം, ഹൃദയകാഠിന്യം നിമിത്തം തന്നേ,

18. Their minds are in the dark, and they are stubborn and ignorant and have missed out on the life that comes from God. They no longer have any feelings about what is right,

19. ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ജീവനില് നിന്നു അകന്നു മനം തഴമ്പിച്ചു പോയവര് ആകയാല് അത്യാഗ്രഹത്തോടെ സകല അശുദ്ധിയും പ്രവര്ത്തിപ്പാന് ദുഷ്കാമത്തിന്നു തങ്ങളെത്തന്നേ ഏല്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

19. and they are so greedy that they do all kinds of indecent things.

20. നിങ്ങളോ യേശുവില് സത്യം ഉള്ളതുപോലെ അവനെക്കുറിച്ചു കേട്ടു അവനില് ഉപദേശം ലഭിച്ചു എങ്കില്

20. But that isn't what you were taught about Jesus Christ. He is the truth, and you heard about him and learned about him.

21. ക്രിസ്തുവിനെക്കുറിച്ചു ഇങ്ങനെയല്ല പഠിച്ചതു.

22. മുമ്പിലത്തെ നടപ്പു സംബന്ധിച്ചു ചതിമോഹങ്ങളാല് വഷളായിപ്പോകുന്ന പഴയ മനുഷ്യനെ ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചു

22. You were told that your foolish desires will destroy you and that you must give up your old way of life with all its bad habits.

23. നിങ്ങളുടെ ഉള്ളിലെ ആത്മാവു സംബന്ധമായി പുതുക്കം പ്രാപിച്ചു

23. Let the Spirit change your way of thinking

24. സത്യത്തിന്റെ ഫലമായ നീതിയിലും വിശുദ്ധിയിലും ദൈവാനുരൂപമായി സൃഷ്ടിക്കപ്പെട്ട പുതുമനുഷ്യനെ ധരിച്ചുകൊള്വിന് .

24. and make you into a new person. You were created to be like God, and so you must please him and be truly holy.

25. ആകയാല് ഭോഷകു ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചു ഔരോരുത്തന് താന്താന്റെ കൂട്ടുകാരനോടു സത്യം സംസാരിപ്പിന് ; നാം തമ്മില് അവയവങ്ങളല്ലോ.

25. We are part of the same body. Stop lying and start telling each other the truth.

26. കോപിച്ചാല് പാപം ചെയ്യാതിരിപ്പിന് . സൂര്യന് അസ്തമിക്കുവോളം നിങ്ങള് കോപം വെച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കരുതു.

26. Don't get so angry that you sin. Don't go to bed angry

27. പിശാചിന്നു ഇടം കൊടുക്കരുതു.

27. and don't give the devil a chance.

28. കള്ളന് ഇനി കക്കാതെ മുട്ടുള്ളവന്നു ദാനം ചെയ്വാന് ഉണ്ടാകേണ്ടതിന്നു കൈകൊണ്ടു നല്ലതു പ്രവര്ത്തിച്ചു അദ്ധ്വാനിക്കയത്രേ വേണ്ടതു.

28. If you are a thief, quit stealing. Be honest and work hard, so you will have something to give to people in need.

29. കേള്ക്കുന്നവര്ക്കും കൃപ ലഭിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ആവശ്യംപോലെ ആത്മികവര്ദ്ധനെക്കായി നല്ല വാക്കല്ലാതെ ആകാത്തതു ഒന്നും നിങ്ങളുടെ വായില് നിന്നു പുറപ്പെടരുതു.

29. Stop all your dirty talk. Say the right thing at the right time and help others by what you say.

30. ദൈവത്തിന്റെ പരിശുദ്ധാത്മാവിനെ ദുഃഖിപ്പിക്കരുതു; അവനാലല്ലോ നിങ്ങള്ക്കു വീണ്ടെടുപ്പുനാളിന്നായി മുദ്രയിട്ടിരിക്കുന്നതു.

30. Don't make God's Spirit sad. The Spirit makes you sure that someday you will be free from your sins.

31. എല്ലാ കൈപ്പും കോപവും ക്രോധവും കൂറ്റാരവും ദൂഷണവും സകലദുര്ഗ്ഗുണവുമായി നിങ്ങളെ വിട്ടു ഒഴിഞ്ഞുപോകട്ടെ.

31. Stop being bitter and angry and mad at others. Don't yell at one another or curse each other or ever be rude.

32. നിങ്ങള് തമ്മില് ദയയും മനസ്സലിവുമുള്ളവരായി ദൈവം ക്രിസ്തുവില് നിങ്ങളോടു ക്ഷമിച്ചതുപോലെ അന്യോന്യം ക്ഷമിപ്പിന് .

32. Instead, be kind and merciful, and forgive others, just as God forgave you because of Christ.
