1. കര്ത്തൃസേവനിമിത്തം ബദ്ധനായിരിക്കുന്ന ഞാന് പ്രബോധിപ്പിക്കുന്നതുനിങ്ങളെ വിളിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന വിളിക്കു യോഗ്യമാംവണ്ണം

1. I therfore which am presoner in the LORDE, exhorte you, that ye walke as it becometh yor callinge wherin ye are called,

2. പൂര്ണ്ണവിനയത്തോടും സൌമ്യതയോടും ദീര്ഘക്ഷമയോടുംകൂടെ നടക്കയും സ്നേഹത്തില് അന്യോന്യം പൊറുക്കയും

2. with all humblenes off mynde and mekenes, and longe sufferinge, forbearinge one another in loue,

3. ആത്മാവിന്റെ ഐക്യത സമാധാനബന്ധത്തില് കാപ്പാന് ശ്രമിക്കയും ചെയ്വിന് .

3. and be diligent to kepe the vnite of the sprete thorow the bonde of peace.

4. നിങ്ങളെ വിളിച്ചപ്പോള് ഏകപ്രത്യാശെക്കായി നിങ്ങളെ വിളിച്ചതുപോലെ ശരീരം ഒന്നു, ആത്മാവു ഒന്നു,

4. One body and one sprete, eue as ye are called in one hope of youre callynge.

5. കര്ത്താവു ഒരുവന് , വിശ്വാസം ഒന്നു, സ്നാനം ഒന്നു, എല്ലാവര്ക്കും മീതെയുള്ളവനും

5. One LORDE, one faith, one baptyme,

6. എല്ലാവരിലും കൂടി വ്യാപരിക്കുന്നവനും എല്ലാവരിലും ഇരിക്കുന്നവനുമായി എല്ലാവര്ക്കും ദൈവവും പിതാവുമായവന് ഒരുവന് .

6. one God and father of vs all, which is aboue all, and thorow all, and in you all.

7. എന്നാല് നമ്മില് ഔരോരുത്തന്നു ക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ ദാനത്തിന്റെ അളവിന്നു ഒത്തവണ്ണം കൃപ ലഭിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

7. Vnto euery one of vs is geuen grace, acordinge to the measure off the gifte off Christ.

8. അതുകൊണ്ടു“അവന് ബദ്ധന്മാരെ പിടിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു പോയി ഉയരത്തില് കയറി മനുഷ്യര്ക്കും ദാനങ്ങളെ കൊടുത്തു” എന്നു പറയുന്നു.

8. Therfore sayeth he: He is gone vp an hye, and hath led awaye captiuyte captyue, and hath geue giftes vnto men.

9. കയറി എന്നതിനാല് അവന് ഭൂമിയുടെ അധോഭാഗങ്ങളിലേക്കു ഇറങ്ങി എന്നു വരുന്നില്ലയോ?

9. That he wente, vp what is it, but that he first came downe in to ye lowest partes of ye earth?

10. ഇറങ്ങിയവന് സകലത്തെയും നിറെക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു സ്വര്ഗ്ഗാധിസ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തിന്നു മീതെ കയറിയവനും ആകുന്നു.

10. He that came downe, is euen the same which is gone vp aboue all heauens, to fulfill all.

11. അവന് ചിലരെ അപ്പൊസ്തലന്മാരായും ചിലരെ പ്രവാചകന്മാരായും ചിലരെ സുവിശേഷകന്മാരായും ചിലരെ ഇടയന്മാരായും ഉപദേഷ്ടാക്കന്മാരായും നിയമിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു;

11. And ye same hath set some to be Apostles, some to be prophetes, some to be Euangelistes, some to be shepherdes & teachers,

12. അതു നാം എല്ലാവരും വിശ്വാസത്തിലും ദൈവപുത്രനെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള പരിജ്ഞാനത്തിലുമുള്ള ഐക്യതയും തികഞ്ഞ പുരുഷത്വവും ക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ സമ്പൂര്ണ്ണതയായ പ്രായത്തിന്റെ അളവും പ്രാപിക്കുവോളം

12. wherby the sayntes mighte be coupled together thorow comen seruyce to the edifienge of ye body of Christ,

13. വിശുദ്ധന്മാരുടെ യഥാസ്ഥാനത്തിന്നായുള്ള ശുശ്രൂഷയുടെ വേലെക്കും ക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ ശരീരത്തിന്റെ ആത്മികവര്ദ്ധനെക്കും ആകുന്നു.

13. tyll we all come vnto one maner of faith and knowlege of the sonne of God, and become a perfecte man in to the measure of the perfecte age of Christ

14. അങ്ങനെ നാം ഇനി മനുഷ്യരുടെ ചതിയാലും ഉപായത്താലും തെറ്റിച്ചുകളയുന്ന തന്ത്രങ്ങളില് കുടുങ്ങിപ്പോകുവാന് തക്കവണ്ണം ഉപദേശത്തിന്റെ ഔരോ കാറ്റിനാല് അലഞ്ഞുഴലുന്ന ശിശുക്കള് ആയിരിക്കാതെ

14. that we be nomore children, waueringe & caried aboute with euery wynde of doctryne thorow the wickednes of men and craftynes, wherby they laye awayte for vs to disceaue vs.

15. സ്നേഹത്തില് സത്യം സംസാരിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു ക്രിസ്തു എന്ന തലയോളം സകലത്തിലും വളരുവാന് ഇടയാകും.

15. But let vs folowe the trueth in loue, and in all thinges growe in him, which is the heade, euen Christ,

16. ശരീരം മുഴുവനും യുക്തമായി ചേര്ന്നും ഏകീഭവിച്ചും ഔരോ അംഗത്തിന്റെ അതതു വ്യാപാരത്തിന്നു ഒത്തവണ്ണം ഉതവി ലഭിപ്പാനുള്ള ഏതു സന്ധിയാലും സ്നേഹത്തിലുള്ള വര്ദ്ധനെക്കായി അവനില് നിന്നു വളര്ച്ച പ്രാപിക്കുന്നു.

16. in whom all the body is coupled together, and one membre hangeth by another thorow out all ye ioyntes. Wherby one mynistreth vnto another (acordinge to the operacion as euery membre hath his measure) and maketh, that ye body groweth to the edifienge of it selfe in loue.

17. ആകയാല് ഞാന് കര്ത്താവില് സാക്ഷീകരിച്ചു പറയുന്നതു എന്തെന്നാല്ജാതികള് തങ്ങളുടെ വ്യര്ത്ഥബുദ്ധി അനുസരിച്ചു നടക്കുന്നതുപോലെ നിങ്ങള് ഇനി നടക്കരുതു.

17. This I saye therfore, and testifye in the LORDE, that ye walke nomore as ye other Heythen walke in the vanite of their mynde,

18. അവര് അന്ധബുദ്ധികളായി അജ്ഞാനം നിമിത്തം, ഹൃദയകാഠിന്യം നിമിത്തം തന്നേ,

18. blynded in their vnderstondinge, beynge straungers fro the life which is in God thorow the ignoraunce that is in them, because of the blyndnes of their hert:

19. ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ജീവനില് നിന്നു അകന്നു മനം തഴമ്പിച്ചു പോയവര് ആകയാല് അത്യാഗ്രഹത്തോടെ സകല അശുദ്ധിയും പ്രവര്ത്തിപ്പാന് ദുഷ്കാമത്തിന്നു തങ്ങളെത്തന്നേ ഏല്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

19. which beynge past repentaunce, haue geue them selues ouer vnto wantonnes, to worke all maner of vnclennes euen with gredynesse.

20. നിങ്ങളോ യേശുവില് സത്യം ഉള്ളതുപോലെ അവനെക്കുറിച്ചു കേട്ടു അവനില് ഉപദേശം ലഭിച്ചു എങ്കില്

20. But ye haue not so learned Christ,

21. ക്രിസ്തുവിനെക്കുറിച്ചു ഇങ്ങനെയല്ല പഠിച്ചതു.

21. yf so be that ye haue herde of him, & are taught in him, euen as the trueth is in Iesu.

22. മുമ്പിലത്തെ നടപ്പു സംബന്ധിച്ചു ചതിമോഹങ്ങളാല് വഷളായിപ്പോകുന്ന പഴയ മനുഷ്യനെ ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചു

22. So then as concernynge the conuersacion in tyme past laye from you that olde man which marreth himselfe thorow disceauable lustes:

23. നിങ്ങളുടെ ഉള്ളിലെ ആത്മാവു സംബന്ധമായി പുതുക്കം പ്രാപിച്ചു

23. but be ye renued in the sprete of youre mynde,

24. സത്യത്തിന്റെ ഫലമായ നീതിയിലും വിശുദ്ധിയിലും ദൈവാനുരൂപമായി സൃഷ്ടിക്കപ്പെട്ട പുതുമനുഷ്യനെ ധരിച്ചുകൊള്വിന് .

24. and put on that new man, which is shapen after God, in true righteousnes and holynes.

25. ആകയാല് ഭോഷകു ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചു ഔരോരുത്തന് താന്താന്റെ കൂട്ടുകാരനോടു സത്യം സംസാരിപ്പിന് ; നാം തമ്മില് അവയവങ്ങളല്ലോ.

25. Wherfore put awaye lyenge, and speake euery man the trueth vnto his neghboure, for as moch as we are membres one of another.

26. കോപിച്ചാല് പാപം ചെയ്യാതിരിപ്പിന് . സൂര്യന് അസ്തമിക്കുവോളം നിങ്ങള് കോപം വെച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കരുതു.

26. Be angrie, but synne not. Let not ye Sonne go downe vpo youre wrath:

27. പിശാചിന്നു ഇടം കൊടുക്കരുതു.

27. nether geue place to the bacbyter.

28. കള്ളന് ഇനി കക്കാതെ മുട്ടുള്ളവന്നു ദാനം ചെയ്വാന് ഉണ്ടാകേണ്ടതിന്നു കൈകൊണ്ടു നല്ലതു പ്രവര്ത്തിച്ചു അദ്ധ്വാനിക്കയത്രേ വേണ്ടതു.

28. He that hath stollen, let him steale nomore: but let him laboure rather, and do some good with his hondes, that he maye haue to geue vnto him that nedeth.

29. കേള്ക്കുന്നവര്ക്കും കൃപ ലഭിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ആവശ്യംപോലെ ആത്മികവര്ദ്ധനെക്കായി നല്ല വാക്കല്ലാതെ ആകാത്തതു ഒന്നും നിങ്ങളുടെ വായില് നിന്നു പുറപ്പെടരുതു.

29. Let no filthy communicacion proceade out of youre mouth, but that which is good to edifye withall, wha nede is, that it be gracious to heare.

30. ദൈവത്തിന്റെ പരിശുദ്ധാത്മാവിനെ ദുഃഖിപ്പിക്കരുതു; അവനാലല്ലോ നിങ്ങള്ക്കു വീണ്ടെടുപ്പുനാളിന്നായി മുദ്രയിട്ടിരിക്കുന്നതു.
യെശയ്യാ 63:10

30. And greue not the holy sprete of God, wherwith ye are sealed vnto ye daye of redempcion.

31. എല്ലാ കൈപ്പും കോപവും ക്രോധവും കൂറ്റാരവും ദൂഷണവും സകലദുര്ഗ്ഗുണവുമായി നിങ്ങളെ വിട്ടു ഒഴിഞ്ഞുപോകട്ടെ.

31. Let all bytternes, and fearsnes, and wrath, and roaringe, & cursed speakynge be farre fro you with all maliciousnes.

32. നിങ്ങള് തമ്മില് ദയയും മനസ്സലിവുമുള്ളവരായി ദൈവം ക്രിസ്തുവില് നിങ്ങളോടു ക്ഷമിച്ചതുപോലെ അന്യോന്യം ക്ഷമിപ്പിന് .

32. But be ye curteous one to another, mercifull, and forgeue one another, eue as God hath forgeuen you in Christ.
