1. കര്ത്തൃസേവനിമിത്തം ബദ്ധനായിരിക്കുന്ന ഞാന് പ്രബോധിപ്പിക്കുന്നതുനിങ്ങളെ വിളിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന വിളിക്കു യോഗ്യമാംവണ്ണം

1. I therefore, being prisoner in the Lord, praie you that yee walke worthie of the vocation whereunto yee are called,

2. പൂര്ണ്ണവിനയത്തോടും സൌമ്യതയോടും ദീര്ഘക്ഷമയോടുംകൂടെ നടക്കയും സ്നേഹത്തില് അന്യോന്യം പൊറുക്കയും

2. With all humblenesse of minde, and meekenesse, with long suffering, supporting one an other through loue,

3. ആത്മാവിന്റെ ഐക്യത സമാധാനബന്ധത്തില് കാപ്പാന് ശ്രമിക്കയും ചെയ്വിന് .

3. Endeuouring to keepe the vnitie of the Spirit in the bond of peace.

4. നിങ്ങളെ വിളിച്ചപ്പോള് ഏകപ്രത്യാശെക്കായി നിങ്ങളെ വിളിച്ചതുപോലെ ശരീരം ഒന്നു, ആത്മാവു ഒന്നു,

4. There is one body, and one Spirit, euen as yee are called in one hope of your vocation.

5. കര്ത്താവു ഒരുവന് , വിശ്വാസം ഒന്നു, സ്നാനം ഒന്നു, എല്ലാവര്ക്കും മീതെയുള്ളവനും

5. There is one Lord, one Faith, one Baptisme,

6. എല്ലാവരിലും കൂടി വ്യാപരിക്കുന്നവനും എല്ലാവരിലും ഇരിക്കുന്നവനുമായി എല്ലാവര്ക്കും ദൈവവും പിതാവുമായവന് ഒരുവന് .

6. One God and Father of all, which is aboue all, and through all, and in you all.

7. എന്നാല് നമ്മില് ഔരോരുത്തന്നു ക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ ദാനത്തിന്റെ അളവിന്നു ഒത്തവണ്ണം കൃപ ലഭിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

7. But vnto euery one of vs is giuen grace, according to the measure of the gift of Christ.

8. അതുകൊണ്ടു“അവന് ബദ്ധന്മാരെ പിടിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു പോയി ഉയരത്തില് കയറി മനുഷ്യര്ക്കും ദാനങ്ങളെ കൊടുത്തു” എന്നു പറയുന്നു.

8. Wherfore he saith, Whe he asceded vp on hie, he led captiuity captiue, and gaue gifts vnto men.

9. കയറി എന്നതിനാല് അവന് ഭൂമിയുടെ അധോഭാഗങ്ങളിലേക്കു ഇറങ്ങി എന്നു വരുന്നില്ലയോ?

9. (Nowe, in that hee ascended, what is it but that he had also descended first into the lowest partes of the earth?

10. ഇറങ്ങിയവന് സകലത്തെയും നിറെക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു സ്വര്ഗ്ഗാധിസ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തിന്നു മീതെ കയറിയവനും ആകുന്നു.

10. Hee that descended, is euen the same that ascended, farre aboue all heauens, that hee might fill all things)

11. അവന് ചിലരെ അപ്പൊസ്തലന്മാരായും ചിലരെ പ്രവാചകന്മാരായും ചിലരെ സുവിശേഷകന്മാരായും ചിലരെ ഇടയന്മാരായും ഉപദേഷ്ടാക്കന്മാരായും നിയമിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു;

11. Hee therefore gaue some to be Apostles, and some Prophets, and some Euangelists, and some Pastours, and Teachers,

12. അതു നാം എല്ലാവരും വിശ്വാസത്തിലും ദൈവപുത്രനെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള പരിജ്ഞാനത്തിലുമുള്ള ഐക്യതയും തികഞ്ഞ പുരുഷത്വവും ക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ സമ്പൂര്ണ്ണതയായ പ്രായത്തിന്റെ അളവും പ്രാപിക്കുവോളം

12. For the repairing of the Saintes, for the woorke of the ministerie, and for the edification of the bodie of Christ,

13. വിശുദ്ധന്മാരുടെ യഥാസ്ഥാനത്തിന്നായുള്ള ശുശ്രൂഷയുടെ വേലെക്കും ക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ ശരീരത്തിന്റെ ആത്മികവര്ദ്ധനെക്കും ആകുന്നു.

13. Till we all meete together (in the vnitie of faith and that acknowledging of the Sonne of God) vnto a perfite man, and vnto the measure of the age of the fulnesse of Christ,

14. അങ്ങനെ നാം ഇനി മനുഷ്യരുടെ ചതിയാലും ഉപായത്താലും തെറ്റിച്ചുകളയുന്ന തന്ത്രങ്ങളില് കുടുങ്ങിപ്പോകുവാന് തക്കവണ്ണം ഉപദേശത്തിന്റെ ഔരോ കാറ്റിനാല് അലഞ്ഞുഴലുന്ന ശിശുക്കള് ആയിരിക്കാതെ

14. That we henceforth be no more children, wauering and caried about with euery winde of doctrine, by the deceit of men, and with craftines, whereby they lay in wait to deceiue.

15. സ്നേഹത്തില് സത്യം സംസാരിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു ക്രിസ്തു എന്ന തലയോളം സകലത്തിലും വളരുവാന് ഇടയാകും.

15. But let vs folowe the truth in loue, and in all things, grow vp into him, which is the head, that is, Christ.

16. ശരീരം മുഴുവനും യുക്തമായി ചേര്ന്നും ഏകീഭവിച്ചും ഔരോ അംഗത്തിന്റെ അതതു വ്യാപാരത്തിന്നു ഒത്തവണ്ണം ഉതവി ലഭിപ്പാനുള്ള ഏതു സന്ധിയാലും സ്നേഹത്തിലുള്ള വര്ദ്ധനെക്കായി അവനില് നിന്നു വളര്ച്ച പ്രാപിക്കുന്നു.

16. By whome al the body being coupled and knit together by euery ioynt, for ye furniture therof (according to the effectual power, which is in the measure of euery part) receiueth increase of the body, vnto the edifying of itselfe in loue.

17. ആകയാല് ഞാന് കര്ത്താവില് സാക്ഷീകരിച്ചു പറയുന്നതു എന്തെന്നാല്ജാതികള് തങ്ങളുടെ വ്യര്ത്ഥബുദ്ധി അനുസരിച്ചു നടക്കുന്നതുപോലെ നിങ്ങള് ഇനി നടക്കരുതു.

17. This I say therefore and testifie in the Lord, that yee hencefoorth walke not as other Gentiles walke, in vanitie of their minde,

18. അവര് അന്ധബുദ്ധികളായി അജ്ഞാനം നിമിത്തം, ഹൃദയകാഠിന്യം നിമിത്തം തന്നേ,

18. Hauing their vnderstanding darkened, and being strangers from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the hardnesse of their heart:

19. ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ജീവനില് നിന്നു അകന്നു മനം തഴമ്പിച്ചു പോയവര് ആകയാല് അത്യാഗ്രഹത്തോടെ സകല അശുദ്ധിയും പ്രവര്ത്തിപ്പാന് ദുഷ്കാമത്തിന്നു തങ്ങളെത്തന്നേ ഏല്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

19. Which being past feeling, haue giuen themselues vnto wantonnesse, to woorke all vncleannesse, euen with griedinesse.

20. നിങ്ങളോ യേശുവില് സത്യം ഉള്ളതുപോലെ അവനെക്കുറിച്ചു കേട്ടു അവനില് ഉപദേശം ലഭിച്ചു എങ്കില്

20. But yee haue not so learned Christ,

21. ക്രിസ്തുവിനെക്കുറിച്ചു ഇങ്ങനെയല്ല പഠിച്ചതു.

21. If so be yee haue heard him, and haue bene taught by him, as the trueth is in Iesus,

22. മുമ്പിലത്തെ നടപ്പു സംബന്ധിച്ചു ചതിമോഹങ്ങളാല് വഷളായിപ്പോകുന്ന പഴയ മനുഷ്യനെ ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചു

22. That is, that yee cast off, concerning the conuersation in time past, that olde man, which is corrupt through the deceiueable lustes,

23. നിങ്ങളുടെ ഉള്ളിലെ ആത്മാവു സംബന്ധമായി പുതുക്കം പ്രാപിച്ചു

23. And be renued in the spirit of your minde,

24. സത്യത്തിന്റെ ഫലമായ നീതിയിലും വിശുദ്ധിയിലും ദൈവാനുരൂപമായി സൃഷ്ടിക്കപ്പെട്ട പുതുമനുഷ്യനെ ധരിച്ചുകൊള്വിന് .

24. And put on ye new man, which after God is created vnto righteousnes, and true holines.

25. ആകയാല് ഭോഷകു ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചു ഔരോരുത്തന് താന്താന്റെ കൂട്ടുകാരനോടു സത്യം സംസാരിപ്പിന് ; നാം തമ്മില് അവയവങ്ങളല്ലോ.

25. Wherefore cast off lying, and speake euery man truth vnto his neighbour: for we are members one of another.

26. കോപിച്ചാല് പാപം ചെയ്യാതിരിപ്പിന് . സൂര്യന് അസ്തമിക്കുവോളം നിങ്ങള് കോപം വെച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കരുതു.

26. Bee angrie, but sinne not: let not the sunne goe downe vpon your wrath,

27. പിശാചിന്നു ഇടം കൊടുക്കരുതു.

27. Neither giue place to the deuill.

28. കള്ളന് ഇനി കക്കാതെ മുട്ടുള്ളവന്നു ദാനം ചെയ്വാന് ഉണ്ടാകേണ്ടതിന്നു കൈകൊണ്ടു നല്ലതു പ്രവര്ത്തിച്ചു അദ്ധ്വാനിക്കയത്രേ വേണ്ടതു.

28. Let him that stole, steale no more: but let him rather labour, and worke with his handes the thing which is good, that hee may haue to giue vnto him that needeth.

29. കേള്ക്കുന്നവര്ക്കും കൃപ ലഭിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ആവശ്യംപോലെ ആത്മികവര്ദ്ധനെക്കായി നല്ല വാക്കല്ലാതെ ആകാത്തതു ഒന്നും നിങ്ങളുടെ വായില് നിന്നു പുറപ്പെടരുതു.

29. Let no corrupt comunication proceed out of your mouths: but that which is good, to ye vse of edifying, that it may minister grace vnto the hearers.

30. ദൈവത്തിന്റെ പരിശുദ്ധാത്മാവിനെ ദുഃഖിപ്പിക്കരുതു; അവനാലല്ലോ നിങ്ങള്ക്കു വീണ്ടെടുപ്പുനാളിന്നായി മുദ്രയിട്ടിരിക്കുന്നതു.
യെശയ്യാ 63:10

30. And grieue not the holy Spirit of God, by whom ye are sealed vnto ye day of redemption.

31. എല്ലാ കൈപ്പും കോപവും ക്രോധവും കൂറ്റാരവും ദൂഷണവും സകലദുര്ഗ്ഗുണവുമായി നിങ്ങളെ വിട്ടു ഒഴിഞ്ഞുപോകട്ടെ.

31. Let all bitternesse, and anger, and wrath, crying, and euill speaking be put away from you, with all maliciousnesse.

32. നിങ്ങള് തമ്മില് ദയയും മനസ്സലിവുമുള്ളവരായി ദൈവം ക്രിസ്തുവില് നിങ്ങളോടു ക്ഷമിച്ചതുപോലെ അന്യോന്യം ക്ഷമിപ്പിന് .

32. Be ye courteous one to another, and tender hearted, freely forgiuing one another, euen as God for Christes sake, freely forgaue you.
