1. നിന്റെ പിതാക്കന്മാരുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിനക്കു അവകാശമായി തരുന്ന ദേശത്തു നിങ്ങള് ഭൂമിയില് ജീവിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന നാളെല്ലാം പ്രമാണിച്ചു നടക്കേണ്ടുന്ന ചട്ടങ്ങളും വിധികളും ആവിതു

1. These are the statutes and the regulations which ye must observe to do, in the land which Yahweh the God of thy fathers hath given unto thee, to possess it, all the days that ye are living upon the sell:

2. നിങ്ങള് ദേശം കൈവശമാക്കുവാന് പോകുന്ന ജാതികള് ഉയര്ന്ന പര്വ്വതങ്ങളിന് മേലും കുന്നുകളിന് മേലും എല്ലാപച്ചമരത്തിന് കീഴിലും തങ്ങളുടെ ദേവന്മാരെ സേവിച്ച സ്ഥലങ്ങളൊക്കെയും നിങ്ങള് അശേഷം നശിപ്പിക്കേണം.

2. Ye must utterly destroy, all the places where the nations whom ye are dispossessing have served their gods, Upon the high mountains And upon the hills, And under every green tree;

3. അവരുടെ ബലിപീഠങ്ങള് ഇടിച്ചുകളയേണം; അവരുടെ ബിംബങ്ങളെ തകര്ക്കേണം; അവരുടെ അശേരപ്രതിഷ്ഠകളെ തീയില് ഇട്ടു ചുട്ടുകളയേണം; അവരുടെ ദേവപ്രതിമകളെ വെട്ടിക്കളഞ്ഞു അവയുടെ പേര് ആ സ്ഥലത്തുനിന്നു നശിപ്പിക്കേണം.

3. And ye must tear down their altars And break in pieces their pillars, And, their sacred stems, must ye consume with fire, And the carved images of their gods, must ye fell to the ground, And destroy their name out of that place.

4. നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയെ ആ വിധത്തില് സേവിക്കേണ്ടതല്ല.

4. Ye must not do thus unto Yahweh your God;

5. നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ തന്റെ നാമം സ്ഥാപിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നിങ്ങളുടെ സകലഗോത്രങ്ങളിലുംവെച്ചു തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കുന്ന സ്ഥലത്തു നിങ്ങള് തിരുനിവാസദര്ശനത്തിന്നായി ചെല്ലേണം.
യോഹന്നാൻ 4:20

5. but, unto the place which Yahweh your God shall choose out of all your tribes, to put his name there, as his habitation, shall ye ask your way, and come in thither;

6. അവിടെ തന്നേ നിങ്ങളുടെ ഹോമയാഗങ്ങള്, ഹനന യാഗങ്ങള്, ദശാംശങ്ങള്, നിങ്ങളുടെ കയ്യിലെ ഉദര്ച്ചാര്പ്പണങ്ങള്, നിങ്ങളുടെ നേര്ച്ചകള്, സ്വമേധാദാനങ്ങള്, നിങ്ങളുടെ ആടുമാടുകളുടെ കടിഞ്ഞൂലുകള് എന്നിവയെ നിങ്ങള് കൊണ്ടുചെല്ലേണം.

6. and bring in thither your ascending-offerings and your sacrifices, and your tithes, and the heave-offering of your hand, and your vow-offerings and your freewill-offerings, and the firstlings of your herd and of your flock;

7. അവിടെ നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയില്വെച്ചു നിങ്ങള് ഭക്ഷിക്കയും നിങ്ങളുടെ സകലപ്രവൃത്തിയിലും നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിന്നെ അനുഗ്രഹിച്ചതിനെക്കുറിച്ചു നിങ്ങളും നിങ്ങളുടെ കടുംബങ്ങളും സന്തോഷിക്കയുംവേണം.

7. and shall eat there before Yahweh your God, and rejoice in all whereunto ye are putting your hand, Ye, and your households, wherewith Yahweh thy God hath blessed thee.

8. നാം ഇന്നു ഇവിടെ ഔരോരുത്തന് താന്താന്നു ബോധിച്ചപ്രകാരം ഒക്കെയും ചെയ്യുന്നതുപോലെ നിങ്ങള് ചെയ്യരുതു.

8. Ye must not do according to all that we are doing here to-day, every man, whatsoever is right in his own eyes.

9. നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിങ്ങള്ക്കു തരുന്ന സ്വസ്ഥതെക്കും അവകാശത്തിന്നും നിങ്ങള് ഇതുവരെ എത്തീട്ടില്ലല്ലോ.

9. Because ye have not entered as yet, into the resting-place and into the inheritance which Yahweh thy God is giving unto thee.

10. എന്നാല് നിങ്ങള് യോര്ദ്ദാന് കടന്നു നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിങ്ങള്ക്കു അവകാശമായി തരുന്ന ദേശത്തു വസിക്കയും ചുറ്റുമുള്ള നിങ്ങളുടെ സകലശത്രുക്കളെയും അവന് നീക്കി നിങ്ങള്ക്കു സ്വസ്ഥത തരികയും നിങ്ങള് നിര്ഭയമായി വസിക്കയും ചെയ്യുമ്പോള്

10. But, when ye shall pass over the Jordan, and settle down in the land which, Yahweh your God, is causing you to inherit, and he shall give you rest from all your enemies round about, and ye shall dwell securely,

11. നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ തന്റെ നാമം സ്ഥാപിപ്പാന് തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കുന്ന സ്ഥലത്തു നിങ്ങളുടെ ഹോമയാഗങ്ങള്, ഹനനയാഗങ്ങള്, ദശാംശങ്ങള്, നിങ്ങളുടെ കയ്യിലെ ഉദര്ച്ചാര്പ്പണങ്ങള്, നിങ്ങള് യഹോവേക്കു നേരുന്ന വിശേഷമായ നേര്ച്ചകള് എല്ലാം എന്നിങ്ങനെ ഞാന് നിങ്ങളോടു ആജ്ഞാപിക്കുന്നതൊക്കെയും നിങ്ങള് കൊണ്ടുവരേണം.

11. then shall it be, that unto the place which Yahweh your God shall choose to make a habitation for his name there, thither, shall ye bring in all that I am commanding you, your ascending-offerings and your sacrifices your tithes and the heave-offering of your hand, and all your chosen vow-offerings which ye shall vow unto Yahweh.

12. നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയില് നിങ്ങളും നിങ്ങളുടെ പുത്രന്മാരും പുത്രിമാരും നിങ്ങളുടെ ദാസന്മാരും ദാസിമാരും നിങ്ങളുടെ പട്ടണങ്ങളില് ഉള്ള ലേവ്യനും സന്തോഷിക്കേണം; അവന്നു നിങ്ങളോടുകൂടെ ഔഹരിയും അവകാശവും ഇല്ലല്ലോ.

12. So shall ye rejoice before Yahweh your God, Ye, and your sons, and your daughters, and your servants and your handmaids, and the Levite that is within your gates, forasmuch as he hath neither portion nor inheritance with you.

13. നിനക്കു ബോധിക്കുന്നേടത്തൊക്കെയും നിന്റെ ഹോമയാഗങ്ങള് കഴിക്കാതിരിപ്പാന് സൂക്ഷിച്ചുകൊള്ക.

13. Take heed to thyself, lest thou cause thine ascending-sacrifice to go up in just any place which thou shalt see;

14. യഹോവ നിന്റെ ഗോത്രങ്ങളില് ഒന്നില് തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കുന്ന സ്ഥലത്തു നീ നിന്റെ ഹോമയാഗങ്ങള് കഴിക്കേണം; ഞാന് നിന്നോടു ആജ്ഞാപിക്കുന്നതൊക്കെയും നീ ചെയ്യേണം.

14. but, in the place which Yahweh shall choose in one of thy tribes, there, shalt thou cause thine ascending-sacrifice to go up, and, there, shalt thou do all that I am commanding thee.

15. എന്നാല് നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിനക്കു തന്നിരിക്കുന്ന അനുഗ്രഹത്തിന്നു തക്കവണ്ണം നിന്റെ ഏതു പട്ടണത്തില്വെച്ചും നിന്റെ മനസ്സിലെ ആഗ്രഹപ്രകാരമൊക്കെയും അറുത്തു മാംസം തിന്നാം; അതു കലമാനിനെയും പുള്ളിമാനിനെയും പോലെ ശുദ്ധന്നും അശുദ്ധന്നും തിന്നാം; രക്തം മാത്രം നിങ്ങള് തിന്നരുതു;

15. Howbeit of anything thy soul desireth, mayest thou sacrifice and so eat flesh according to the blessing of Yahweh thy God which he hath bestowed upon thee, in all thy gates, the unclean and the clean may eat thereof, as the gazelle and as the hart,

16. അതു വെള്ളംപോലെ നിറത്തു ഒഴിച്ചുകളയേണം.

16. Howbeit, the blood, shall ye not eat, upon the earth, shalt thou pour it out, like water.

17. എന്നാല് നിന്റെ ധാന്യം, വീഞ്ഞു, എണ്ണ എന്നിവയുടെ ദശാംശം, നിന്റെ ആടുമാടുകളുടെ കടിഞ്ഞൂലുകള്, നീ നേരുന്ന എല്ലാ നേര്ച്ചകള്, നിന്റെ സ്വമേധാദാനങ്ങള് നിന്റെ കയ്യിലെ ഉദര്ച്ചാര്പ്പണങ്ങള് എന്നിവയെ നിന്റെ പട്ടണങ്ങളില്വെച്ചു തിന്നുകൂടാ.

17. Thou mayest not eat within thy gates, the tithe of thy corn or of thy new wine or of thine oil, or the firstlings of thy herd, or of thy flock, nor any of thy vow-offerings which thou shalt vow, nor thy freewill, offerings, nor the heave-offering of thy hand;

19. നീ ഭൂമിയില് ഇരിക്കുന്നേടത്തോളം ലേവ്യനെ ഉപേക്ഷിക്കാതിരിപ്പാന് സൂക്ഷിച്ചുകൊള്ക.

19. Take heed to thyself, lest thou forsake the Levite, all thy days upon thy soil.

20. നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിനക്കു വാഗ്ദത്തം ചെയ്തതുപോലെ അവന് നിന്റെ അതിര് വിശാലമാക്കുമ്പോള് നീ മാംസം തിന്മാന് ആഗ്രഹിച്ചിട്ടുഎനിക്കു മാംസം തിന്നേണം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞാല് നിന്റെ ഇഷ്ടംപോലെ ഒക്കെയും നിനക്കു മാംസം തിന്നാം.

20. When Yahweh thy God shall enlarge thy boundary as he hath spoken unto thee and thou shalt say. I would eat flesh because thy soul desireth to eat flesh, of whatsoever thy soul desireth, mayest thou eat flesh.

21. നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ തന്റെ നാമം സ്ഥാപിപ്പാന് തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്ത സ്ഥലം ഏറെ ദൂരത്താകുന്നു എങ്കില് യഹോവ നിനക്കു തന്നിട്ടുള്ള നിന്റെ ആടുമാടുകളില് ഏതിനെ എങ്കിലും ഞാന് നിന്നോടു കല്പിച്ചതുപോലെ അറുക്കുകയും നിന്റെ പട്ടണങ്ങളില്വെച്ചു നിന്റെ ഇഷ്ടംപോലെ ഒക്കെയും തിന്നുകയും ചെയ്യാം.

21. When the place which Yahweh thy God shall choose to put his name there, shall be I too far for thee, then shalt thou sacrifice of thy herd or of thy flock which Yahweh hath given unto thee, as I have commanded thee, and shalt eat, within thine own gates, of whatsoever thy soul desireth.

22. കലമാനിനെയും പുള്ളിമാനിനെയും തിന്നുന്നതുപോലെ നിനക്കു അവയെ തിന്നാം; ശുദ്ധന്നും അശുദ്ധന്നും ഒരുപോലെ തിന്നാം.

22. Even as the gazelle and the hart is eaten, so, shalt thou eat it, the unclean and the clean, alike shall eat it.

23. രക്തം മാത്രം തിന്നാതിരിപ്പാന് നിഷ്ഠയായിരിക്ക; രക്തം ജീവന് ആകുന്നുവല്ലോ; മാംസത്തോടുകൂടെ ജീവനെ തിന്നരുതു.

23. Howbeit firmly refrain from eating the blood; for the blood, is the life, therefore must thou not eat the life with the flesh.

24. അതിനെ നീ തിന്നാതെ വെള്ളംപോലെ നിലത്തു ഒഴിച്ചുകളയേണം.

24. Thou shalt not eat it, upon the earth, shalt thou pour it out, like water.

25. യഹോവേക്കു ഹിതമായുള്ളതു ചെയ്തിട്ടു നിനക്കും മക്കള്ക്കും നന്നായിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നീ അതിനെ തിന്നരുതു.

25. Thou shalt not eat it, that is may be well With thee and With thy children after the when thou shalt do that which is right in the eyes of Yahweh.

26. നിന്റെ പക്കലുള്ള വിശുദ്ധവസ്തുക്കളും നിന്റെ നേര്ച്ചകളും മാത്രം നീ എടുത്തുകൊണ്ടു യഹോവ തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കുന്ന സ്ഥലത്തേക്കു പോകേണം.

26. Howbeit, thy holy things which thou shalt have and thy vow-offerings, shalt thou take and come in, unto the place which Yahweh shall choose;

27. അവിടെ നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ യാഗപീഠത്തിന്മേല് നിന്റെ ഹോമയാഗങ്ങള് മാംസത്തോടും രക്തത്തോടും കൂടെ അര്പ്പിക്കേണം; നിന്റെ ഹനനയാഗങ്ങളുടെ രക്തം നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ യാഗപീഠത്തിന്മേല് ഒഴിക്കേണം; അതിന്റെ മാംസം നിനക്കു തിന്നാം.

27. and shalt offer thine ascending-sacrifices, the flesh and the blood, upon the altar of Yahweh thy God, and the blood of thine other sacrifices, shall be poured out upon the altar of Yahweh thy God, and then the flesh, shalt thou eat.

28. നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ മുമ്പാകെ ഹിതവും ഉത്തമവുമാക്കുന്ന ഈ സകലവചനങ്ങളും കേട്ടു പ്രമാണിക്ക.

28. Observe and hear all these things which I am commanding thee, that it may be well with thee and with thy children after thee, unto times age-abiding, so long as thou shalt do that which is pleasing and right in the eyes of Yahweh thy God.

29. നീ കൈവശമാക്കുവാന് ചെല്ലുന്ന ദേശത്തുള്ള ജാതികളെ നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിന്റെ മുമ്പില്നിന്നു ഛേദിച്ചുകളയുമ്പോഴും നീ അവരെ നീക്കിക്കളഞ്ഞു അവരുടെ ദേശത്തു പാര്ക്കുംമ്പോഴും

29. When Yahweh thy God shall cut off from before thee, the nations Whom thou art going in to dispossess, and thou do dispossess them, and dwell in their land,

30. അവര് നിന്റെ മുമ്പില്നിന്നു നശിച്ചശേഷം നീ അവരുടെ നടപടി അനുസരിച്ചു കണിയില് അകപ്പെടുകയും ഈ ജാതികള് തങ്ങളുടെ ദേവന്മാരെ സേവിച്ചവിധം ഞാനും ചെയ്യുമെന്നു പറഞ്ഞു അവരുടെ ദേവന്മാരെക്കുറിച്ചു അന്വേഷിക്കയും ചെയ്യാതിരിപ്പാന് സൂക്ഷിച്ചുകൊള്ളേണം.

30. take heed to thyself lest thou be thrust after them, after they have been destroyed from before thee, and lest thou enquire after their gods, saying In what manner, did these nations serve their gods, that, I too, may do likewise?

31. നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയെ അങ്ങനെ സേവിക്കേണ്ടതല്ല; യഹോവ വെറുക്കുന്ന സകലമ്ളേച്ഛതയും അവര് തങ്ങളുടെ ദേവപൂജയില് ചെയ്തു തങ്ങളുടെ പുത്രിപുത്രന്മാരെപ്പോലും അവര് തങ്ങളുടെ ദേവന്മാര്ക്കും അഗ്നിപ്രവേശം ചെയ്യിച്ചു വല്ലോ.

31. Thou shalt not do likewise unto Yahweh thy God, for everything that is an abomination unto Yahweh which he doth hate, have they done unto their gods, for even their sons and their daughters, do they consume with fire unto their gods.
