1. ദാവീദിന്റെ ഒരു സങ്കീര്ത്തനം.

1. [A Psalm] of David. BLESS (AFFECTIONATELY, gratefully praise) the Lord, O my soul; and all that is [deepest] within me, bless His holy name!

2. എന് മനമേ, യഹോവയെ വാഴ്ത്തുക; എന്റെ സര്വ്വാന്തരംഗവുമേ, അവന്റെ വിശുദ്ധനാമത്തെ വാഴ്ത്തുക.

2. Bless (affectionately, gratefully praise) the Lord, O my soul, and forget not [one of] all His benefits--

3. എന് മനമേ, യഹോവയെ വാഴ്ത്തുക; അവന്റെ ഉപകാരങ്ങള് ഒന്നും മറക്കരുതു.

3. Who forgives [every one of] all your iniquities, Who heals [each one of] all your diseases,

4. അവന് നിന്റെ അകൃത്യം ഒക്കെയും മോചിക്കുന്നു; നിന്റെ സകലരോഗങ്ങളെയും സൌഖ്യമാക്കുന്നു;

4. Who redeems your life from the pit and corruption, Who beautifies, dignifies, and crowns you with loving-kindness and tender mercy;

5. അവന് നിന്റെ ജീവനെ നാശത്തില്നിന്നു വീണ്ടെടുക്കുന്നു; അവന് ദയയും കരുണയും നിന്നെ അണിയിക്കുന്നു.

5. Who satisfies your mouth [your necessity and desire at your personal age and situation] with good so that your youth, renewed, is like the eagle's [strong, overcoming, soaring]! [Isa. 40:31.]

6. നിന്റെ യൌവനം കഴുകനെപ്പോലെ പുതുകിവരത്തക്കവണ്ണം അവന് നിന്റെ വായക്കു നന്മകൊണ്ടു തൃപ്തിവരുത്തുന്നു.

6. The Lord executes righteousness and justice [not for me only, but] for all who are oppressed.

7. യഹോവ സകലപീഡിതന്മാര്ക്കും വേണ്ടി നീതിയും ന്യായവും നടത്തുന്നു.

7. He made known His ways [of righteousness and justice] to Moses, His acts to the children of Israel.

8. അവന് തന്റെ വഴികളെ മോശെയെയും തന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തികളെ യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളെയും അറിയിച്ചു.

8. The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger and plenteous in mercy and loving-kindness. [James 5:11.]

9. യഹോവ കരുണയും കൃപയും നിറഞ്ഞവന് ആകുന്നു; ദീര്ഘക്ഷമയും മഹാദയയും ഉള്ളവന് തന്നേ.

9. He will not always chide or be contending, neither will He keep His anger forever or hold a grudge.

10. അവന് എല്ലായ്പോഴും ഭര്ത്സിക്കയില്ല; എന്നേക്കും കോപം സംഗ്രഹിക്കയുമില്ല.

10. He has not dealt with us after our sins nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.

11. അവന് നമ്മുടെ പാപങ്ങള്ക്കു ഒത്തവണ്ണം നമ്മോടു ചെയ്യുന്നില്ല; നമ്മുടെ അകൃത്യങ്ങള്ക്കു ഒത്തവണ്ണം നമ്മോടു പകരം ചെയ്യുന്നതുമില്ല.

11. For as the heavens are high above the earth, so great are His mercy and loving-kindness toward those who reverently and worshipfully fear Him.

12. ആകാശം ഭൂമിക്കുമീതെ ഉയര്ന്നിരിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ അവന്റെ ദയ അവന്റെ ഭക്തന്മാരോടു വലുതായിരിക്കുന്നു.

12. As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us.

13. ഉദയം അസ്തമയത്തോടു അകന്നിരിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ അവന് നമ്മുടെ ലംഘനങ്ങളെ നമ്മോടു അകറ്റിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

13. As a father loves and pities his children, so the Lord loves and pities those who fear Him [with reverence, worship, and awe].

14. അപ്പന്നു മക്കളോടു കരുണ തോന്നുന്നതുപോലെ യഹോവേക്കു തന്റെ ഭക്തന്മാരോടു കരുണ തോന്നുന്നു.

14. For He knows our frame, He [earnestly] remembers and imprints [on His heart] that we are dust.

15. അവന് നമ്മുടെ പ്രകൃതി അറിയുന്നുവല്ലോ; നാം പൊടി എന്നു അവന് ഔര്ക്കുംന്നു.

15. As for man, his days are as grass; as a flower of the field, so he flourishes.

16. മനുഷ്യന്റെ ആയുസ്സു പുല്ലുപോലെയാകുന്നു; വയലിലെ പൂപോലെ അവന് പൂക്കുന്നു.

16. For the wind passes over it and it is gone, and its place shall know it no more.

17. കാറ്റു അതിന്മേല് അടിക്കുമ്പോള് അതു ഇല്ലാതെപോകുന്നു; അതിന്റെ സ്ഥലം പിന്നെ അതിനെ അറികയുമില്ല.

17. But the mercy and loving-kindness of the Lord are from everlasting to everlasting upon those who reverently and worshipfully fear Him, and His righteousness is to children's children--[Deut. 10:12.]

18. യഹോവയുടെ ദയയോ എന്നും എന്നേക്കും അവന്റെ ഭക്തന്മാര്ക്കും അവന്റെ നീതി മക്കളുടെ മക്കള്ക്കും ഉണ്ടാകും.

18. To such as keep His covenant [hearing, receiving, loving, and obeying it] and to those who [earnestly] remember His commandments to do them [imprinting them on their hearts].

19. അവന്റെ നിയമത്തെ പ്രാണിക്കുന്നവര്ക്കും അവന്റെ കല്പനകളെ ഔര്ത്തു ആചരിക്കുന്നവര്ക്കും തന്നേ.

19. The Lord has established His throne in the heavens, and His kingdom rules over all.

20. യഹോവ തന്റെ സിംഹാസനത്തെ സ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തില് സ്ഥാപിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; അവന്റെ രാജത്വം സകലത്തെയും ഭരിക്കുന്നു.

20. Bless (affectionately, gratefully praise) the Lord, you His angels, you mighty ones who do His commandments, hearkening to the voice of His word.

21. അവന്റെ വചനത്തിന്റെ ശബ്ദം കേട്ടു അവന്റെ ആജ്ഞ അനുസരിക്കുന്ന വീരന്മാരായി അവന്റെ ദൂതന്മാരായുള്ളോരേ, യഹോവയെ വാഴ്ത്തുവിന് .

21. Bless (affectionately, gratefully praise) the Lord, all you His hosts, you His ministers who do His pleasure.

22. അവന്റെ ഇഷ്ടം ചെയ്യുന്ന ശുശ്രൂഷക്കാരായി അവന്റെ സകലസൈന്യങ്ങളുമായുള്ളോരേ, യഹോവയെ വാഴ്ത്തുവിന് ;

22. Bless the Lord, all His works in all places of His dominion; bless (affectionately, gratefully praise) the Lord, O my soul!
