1. ദൈവമേ, എന്നെ രക്ഷിക്കേണമേ; വെള്ളം എന്റെ പ്രാണനോളം എത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

1. Save me, O God; for the waters are come in unto [my] soul.

2. ഞാന് നിലയില്ലാത്ത ആഴമുള്ള ചേറ്റില് താഴുന്നു; ആഴമുള്ള വെള്ളത്തില് ഞാന് മുങ്ങിപ്പോകുന്നു; പ്രവാഹങ്ങള് എന്നെ കവിഞ്ഞൊഴുകുന്നു.

2. I sink in deep mire where [there is] no standing; I am come into deep waters, where the floods overflow me.

3. എന്റെ നിലവിളിയാല് ഞാന് തളര്ന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ തൊണ്ട ഉണങ്ങിയിരിക്കുന്നു; ഞാന് എന്റെ ദൈവത്തെ പ്രതീക്ഷിച്ചു എന്റെ കണ്ണു മങ്ങിപ്പോകുന്നു.

3. I am weary of my crying; my throat is dried; my eyes fail while I wait for my God.

4. കാരണംകൂടാതെ എന്നെ പകെക്കുന്നവര് എന്റെ തലയിലെ രോമത്തിലും അധികമാകുന്നു; വൃഥാ എനിക്കു ശത്രുക്കളായി എന്നെ സംഹരിപ്പാന് ഭാവിക്കുന്നവര് പെരുകിയിരിക്കുന്നു; ഞാന് കവര്ച്ചചെയ്യാത്തതു തിരികെ കൊടുക്കേണ്ടിവരുന്നു.

4. Those that hate me without a cause are more than the hairs of my head; those that would destroy me, [being] my enemies wrongfully, are mighty; then I restored [that] which I did not take away.

5. ദൈവമേ, നീ എന്റെ ഭോഷത്വം അറിയുന്നു; എന്റെ അകൃത്യങ്ങള് നിനക്കു മറവായിരിക്കുന്നില്ല.

5. O God, thou knowest my foolishness, and my guiltiness is not hid from thee.

6. സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവയായ കര്ത്താവേ, നിങ്കല് പ്രത്യാശവെക്കുന്നവര് എന്റെ നിമിത്തം ലജ്ജിച്ചുപോകരുതേ; യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമേ, നിന്നെ അന്വേഷിക്കുന്നവര് എന്റെ നിമിത്തം നാണിച്ചുപോകരുതേ.

6. Do not let those that wait on thee, O Lord GOD of the hosts, be ashamed for my sake; do not let those that seek thee be confounded for my sake, O God of Israel.

7. നിന്റെ നിമിത്തം ഞാന് നിന്ദ വഹിച്ചു; ലജ്ജ എന്റെ മുഖത്തെ മൂടിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

7. Because for thy sake I have borne reproach; shame has covered my face.

8. എന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാര്ക്കും ഞാന് പരദേശിയും എന്റെ അമ്മയുടെ മക്കള്ക്കു അന്യനും ആയി തീര്ന്നിരിക്കുന്നു.

8. I am become a stranger unto my brethren and an alien unto my mother's sons.

9. നിന്റെ ആലയത്തെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള എരിവു എന്നെ തിന്നുകളഞ്ഞു; നിന്നെ നിന്ദിക്കുന്നവരുടെ നിന്ദ എന്റെ മേല് വീണിരിക്കുന്നു.

9. For the zeal of thy house has consumed me, and the reproaches of those that reproached thee are fallen upon me.

10. ഞാന് കരഞ്ഞു ഉപവാസത്താല് ആത്മതപനം ചെയ്തു. അതും എനിക്കു നിന്ദയായ്തീര്ന്നു;

10. When I wept with fasting of my soul, thou hast been a reproach unto me.

11. I made sackcloth also my garment, and I became a proverb to them.

12. പട്ടണവാതില്ക്കല് ഇരിക്കുന്നവര് എന്നെക്കുറിച്ചു സല്ലാപിക്കുന്നു; ഞാന് മദ്യപന്മാരുടെ പാട്ടായിരിക്കുന്നു.

12. They that sat in the gate spoke against me, and I [was] the song of the drunkards.

13. ഞാനോ യഹോവേ, പ്രസാദകാലത്തു നിന്നോടു പ്രാര്ത്ഥിക്കുന്നു; ദൈവമേ, നിന്റെ ദയയുടെ ബഹുത്വത്താല്, നിന്റെ രക്ഷാവിശ്വസ്തതയാല് തന്നേ, എനിക്കുത്തരമരുളേണമേ.

13. But I [corrected] my prayer unto thee, O LORD, [in] the time of [thy] good pleasure; O God, in the multitude of thy mercy hear me, in the truth of thy saving health.

14. ചേറ്റില്നിന്നു എന്നെ കയറ്റേണമേ; ഞാന് താണുപോകരുതേ; എന്നെ പകെക്കുന്നവരുടെ കയ്യില്നിന്നും ആഴമുള്ള വെള്ളത്തില്നിന്നും എന്നെ വിടുവിക്കേണമേ.

14. Deliver me out of the mire, and let me not drown; let me be delivered from those that hate me and out of the deep waters.

15. ജലപ്രവാഹം എന്റെ മീതെ കവിയരുതേ; ആഴം എന്നെ വിഴുങ്ങരുതേ; കുഴി എന്നെ അടെച്ചുകൊള്ളുകയുമരുതേ.

15. Let not the violent force of the waters overcome me, neither let the deep swallow me up, and let not the pit shut her mouth upon me.

16. യഹോവേ, എനിക്കുത്തരമരുളേണമേ; നിന്റെ ദയ നല്ലതല്ലോ; നിന്റെ കരുണയുടെ ബഹുത്വപ്രകാരം എങ്കലേക്കു തിരിയേണമേ;

16. Hear me, O LORD, for thy mercy [is] perceptible, look upon me according to the multitude of thy acts of compassion

17. അടിയന്നു തിരുമുഖം മറെക്കരുതേ; ഞാന് കഷ്ടത്തില് ഇരിക്കയാല് വേഗത്തില് എനിക്കു ഉത്തരമരുളേണമേ.

17. And hide not thy face from thy servant, for I am in trouble; hear me speedily.

18. എന്റെ പ്രാണനോടു അടുത്തുവന്നു അതിനെ വീണ്ടുകൊള്ളേണമേ; എന്റെ ശത്രുക്കള്നിമിത്തം എന്നെ വീണ്ടെടുക്കേണമേ.

18. Draw near unto my soul [and] redeem it; deliver me because of my enemies.

19. എനിക്കുള്ള നിന്ദയും ലജ്ജയും അപമാനവും നീ അറിയുന്നു; എന്റെ വൈരികള് എല്ലാവരും നിന്റെ ദൃഷ്ടിയില് ഇരിക്കുന്നു.

19. Thou hast known my reproach and my shame and my dishonour; my adversaries [are] all before thee.

20. നിന്ദ എന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തെ തകര്ത്തു, ഞാന് ഏറ്റവും വിഷാദിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; വല്ലവന്നും സഹതാപം തോന്നുമോ എന്നു ഞാന് നോക്കിക്കൊണ്ടിരുന്നു; ആര്ക്കും തോന്നിയില്ല; ആശ്വസിപ്പിക്കുന്നവരുണ്ടോ എന്നും നോക്കിക്കൊണ്ടിരുന്നു; ആരെയും കണ്ടില്ലതാനും.

20. Reproach has broken my heart, and I am full of heaviness, and I looked [for some] to take pity, but [there was] no one, and for comforters, but I found none.

21. They also gave me gall for my food; and in my thirst they gave me vinegar to drink.

22. Let their table become a snare before them, and [that which should have been] for [their] prosperity, [let it become] a stumbling block.

26. For they persecute [him] whom thou hast smitten, and they boast that thou hast slain their enemies.

27. Add iniquity unto their iniquity, and let them not come into thy righteousness.

28. Let them be blotted out of the book of the living and not be written with the righteous.

29. ഞാനോ എളിയവനും ദുഃഖിതനും ആകുന്നു; ദൈവമേ, നിന്റെ രക്ഷ എന്നെ ഉയര്ത്തുമാറാകട്ടെ.

29. But I [am] poor and sorrowful; let thy saving health, O God, set me up on high.

30. ഞാന് പാട്ടോടെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ നാമത്തെ സ്തുതിക്കും; സ്തോത്രത്തോടെ അവനെ മഹത്വപ്പെടുത്തും.

30. I will praise the name of God with a song and will magnify him with praises.

31. അതു യഹോവേക്കു കാളയെക്കാളും കൊമ്പും കുളമ്പും ഉള്ള മൂരിയെക്കാളും പ്രസാദകരമാകും.

31. [This] also shall please the LORD better [than the sacrifice of an ox or] bullock that [struggles] with horns and hoofs.

32. സൌമ്യതയുള്ളവര് അതു കണ്ടു സന്തോഷിക്കും; ദൈവത്തെ അന്വേഷിക്കുന്നവരേ, നിങ്ങളുടെ ഹൃദയം ജീവിക്കട്ടെ.

32. The humble shall see [this] [and] be glad; seek God and thy heart shall live.

33. യഹോവ ദരിദ്രന്മാരുടെ പ്രാര്ത്ഥന കേള്ക്കുന്നു; തന്റെ ബദ്ധന്മാരെ നിന്ദിക്കുന്നതുമില്ല;

33. For the LORD hears the destitute and does not despise his prisoners.

34. ആകാശവും ഭൂമിയും സമുദ്രങ്ങളും അവയില് ചരിക്കുന്ന സകലവും അവനെ സ്തുതിക്കട്ടെ.

34. Let the heavens and the earth praise him, the seas, and every thing that moves in them.

35. ദൈവം സീയോനെ രക്ഷിക്കും; അവന് യെഹൂദാനഗരങ്ങളെ പണിയും; അവര് അവിടെ പാര്ത്തു അതിനെ കൈവശമാക്കും.

35. For God will protect Zion and will rebuild the cities of Judah; they shall dwell there and inherit it.

36. അവന്റെ ദാസന്മാരുടെ സന്തതി അതിനെ അവകാശമാക്കും; അവന്റെ നാമത്തെ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നവര് അതില് വസിക്കും. (സംഗീതപ്രമാണിക്കു; ദാവീദിന്റെ ഒരു ജ്ഞാപകസങ്കീര്ത്തനം.)

36. The seed of his servants shall inherit it, and those that love his name shall dwell therein.:
