1. ദൈവമേ, എന്നെ രക്ഷിക്കേണമേ; വെള്ളം എന്റെ പ്രാണനോളം എത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

1. For the Chief Musician; set to Shoshannim. [A Psalm] of David. Save me, O God; For the waters have come in to my soul.

2. I sink in deep mire, where there is no standing: I have come into deep waters, where the floods overflow me.

3. എന്റെ നിലവിളിയാല് ഞാന് തളര്ന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ തൊണ്ട ഉണങ്ങിയിരിക്കുന്നു; ഞാന് എന്റെ ദൈവത്തെ പ്രതീക്ഷിച്ചു എന്റെ കണ്ണു മങ്ങിപ്പോകുന്നു.

3. I am weary with my crying; my throat is dried: My eyes fail while I wait for my God.

4. കാരണംകൂടാതെ എന്നെ പകെക്കുന്നവര് എന്റെ തലയിലെ രോമത്തിലും അധികമാകുന്നു; വൃഥാ എനിക്കു ശത്രുക്കളായി എന്നെ സംഹരിപ്പാന് ഭാവിക്കുന്നവര് പെരുകിയിരിക്കുന്നു; ഞാന് കവര്ച്ചചെയ്യാത്തതു തിരികെ കൊടുക്കേണ്ടിവരുന്നു.

4. Those who hate me without a cause are more than the hairs of my head: Those who would cut me off, being my enemies wrongfully, are mighty: That which I did not take away I have to restore.

5. ദൈവമേ, നീ എന്റെ ഭോഷത്വം അറിയുന്നു; എന്റെ അകൃത്യങ്ങള് നിനക്കു മറവായിരിക്കുന്നില്ല.

5. O God, you know my foolishness; And my sins are not hid from you.

6. സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവയായ കര്ത്താവേ, നിങ്കല് പ്രത്യാശവെക്കുന്നവര് എന്റെ നിമിത്തം ലജ്ജിച്ചുപോകരുതേ; യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമേ, നിന്നെ അന്വേഷിക്കുന്നവര് എന്റെ നിമിത്തം നാണിച്ചുപോകരുതേ.

6. Don't let those who wait for you be put to shame through me, O Sovereign Yahweh of hosts: Don't let those who seek you be brought to dishonor through me, O God of Israel.

7. നിന്റെ നിമിത്തം ഞാന് നിന്ദ വഹിച്ചു; ലജ്ജ എന്റെ മുഖത്തെ മൂടിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

7. Because for your sake I have borne reproach; Shame has covered my face.

8. എന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാര്ക്കും ഞാന് പരദേശിയും എന്റെ അമ്മയുടെ മക്കള്ക്കു അന്യനും ആയി തീര്ന്നിരിക്കുന്നു.

8. I have become a stranger to my brothers, And an alien to my mother's sons.

9. നിന്റെ ആലയത്തെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള എരിവു എന്നെ തിന്നുകളഞ്ഞു; നിന്നെ നിന്ദിക്കുന്നവരുടെ നിന്ദ എന്റെ മേല് വീണിരിക്കുന്നു.

9. For the zeal of your house has eaten me up; And the reproaches of those who reproach you have fallen on me.

10. ഞാന് കരഞ്ഞു ഉപവാസത്താല് ആത്മതപനം ചെയ്തു. അതും എനിക്കു നിന്ദയായ്തീര്ന്നു;

10. When I wept, [and chastened] my soul with fasting, That was to my reproach.

11. ഞാന് രട്ടുശീല എന്റെ ഉടുപ്പാക്കി; ഞാന് അവര്ക്കും പഴഞ്ചൊല്ലായ്തീര്ന്നു.

11. When I made sackcloth my clothing, I became a byword to them.

12. പട്ടണവാതില്ക്കല് ഇരിക്കുന്നവര് എന്നെക്കുറിച്ചു സല്ലാപിക്കുന്നു; ഞാന് മദ്യപന്മാരുടെ പാട്ടായിരിക്കുന്നു.

12. Those who sit in the gate talk of me; And [I am] the song of the drunkards.

13. ഞാനോ യഹോവേ, പ്രസാദകാലത്തു നിന്നോടു പ്രാര്ത്ഥിക്കുന്നു; ദൈവമേ, നിന്റെ ദയയുടെ ബഹുത്വത്താല്, നിന്റെ രക്ഷാവിശ്വസ്തതയാല് തന്നേ, എനിക്കുത്തരമരുളേണമേ.

13. But as for me, my prayer is to you, O Yahweh, in an acceptable time: O God, in the abundance of your loving-kindness, Answer me in the truth of your salvation.

14. ചേറ്റില്നിന്നു എന്നെ കയറ്റേണമേ; ഞാന് താണുപോകരുതേ; എന്നെ പകെക്കുന്നവരുടെ കയ്യില്നിന്നും ആഴമുള്ള വെള്ളത്തില്നിന്നും എന്നെ വിടുവിക്കേണമേ.

14. Deliver me out of the mire, and don't let me sink: Let me be delivered from those who hate me, and out of the deep waters.

15. ജലപ്രവാഹം എന്റെ മീതെ കവിയരുതേ; ആഴം എന്നെ വിഴുങ്ങരുതേ; കുഴി എന്നെ അടെച്ചുകൊള്ളുകയുമരുതേ.

15. Don't let the floodwater overwhelm me, Neither let the deep swallow me up; And don't let the pit shut its mouth on me.

16. യഹോവേ, എനിക്കുത്തരമരുളേണമേ; നിന്റെ ദയ നല്ലതല്ലോ; നിന്റെ കരുണയുടെ ബഹുത്വപ്രകാരം എങ്കലേക്കു തിരിയേണമേ;

16. Answer me, O Yahweh; for your loving-kindness is good: According to the multitude of your tender mercies turn to me.

17. അടിയന്നു തിരുമുഖം മറെക്കരുതേ; ഞാന് കഷ്ടത്തില് ഇരിക്കയാല് വേഗത്തില് എനിക്കു ഉത്തരമരുളേണമേ.

17. And don't hide your face from your slave; For I am in distress; answer me speedily.

18. എന്റെ പ്രാണനോടു അടുത്തുവന്നു അതിനെ വീണ്ടുകൊള്ളേണമേ; എന്റെ ശത്രുക്കള്നിമിത്തം എന്നെ വീണ്ടെടുക്കേണമേ.

18. Draw near to my soul, and redeem it: Ransom me because of my enemies.

19. എനിക്കുള്ള നിന്ദയും ലജ്ജയും അപമാനവും നീ അറിയുന്നു; എന്റെ വൈരികള് എല്ലാവരും നിന്റെ ദൃഷ്ടിയില് ഇരിക്കുന്നു.

19. You know my reproach, and my shame, and my dishonor: My adversaries are all before you.

20. നിന്ദ എന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തെ തകര്ത്തു, ഞാന് ഏറ്റവും വിഷാദിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; വല്ലവന്നും സഹതാപം തോന്നുമോ എന്നു ഞാന് നോക്കിക്കൊണ്ടിരുന്നു; ആര്ക്കും തോന്നിയില്ല; ആശ്വസിപ്പിക്കുന്നവരുണ്ടോ എന്നും നോക്കിക്കൊണ്ടിരുന്നു; ആരെയും കണ്ടില്ലതാനും.

20. Reproach has broken my heart; and I am full of heaviness: And I looked for some to take pity, but there was none; And for comforters, but I found none.

21. അവര് എനിക്കു തിന്നുവാന് കൈപ്പു തന്നു; എന്റെ ദാഹത്തിന്നു അവര് എനിക്കു ചൊറുക്ക കുടിപ്പാന് തന്നു.

21. They gave me also gall for my food; And in my thirst they gave me vinegar to drink.

23. Let their eyes be darkened, so that they can't see; And make their loins continually to shake.

26. For they persecute him whom you have struck; And they tell of the sorrow of those whom you have wounded.

27. Add iniquity to their iniquity; And don't let them come into your righteousness.

28. Let them be blotted out of the Book of Life, And not be written with the righteous.

29. But I am poor and sorrowful: Let your salvation, O God, set me up on high.

30. ഞാന് പാട്ടോടെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ നാമത്തെ സ്തുതിക്കും; സ്തോത്രത്തോടെ അവനെ മഹത്വപ്പെടുത്തും.

30. I will praise the name of God with a song, And will magnify him with thanksgiving.

31. അതു യഹോവേക്കു കാളയെക്കാളും കൊമ്പും കുളമ്പും ഉള്ള മൂരിയെക്കാളും പ്രസാദകരമാകും.

31. And it will please Yahweh better than an ox, [Or] a bull that has horns and hoofs.

32. സൌമ്യതയുള്ളവര് അതു കണ്ടു സന്തോഷിക്കും; ദൈവത്തെ അന്വേഷിക്കുന്നവരേ, നിങ്ങളുടെ ഹൃദയം ജീവിക്കട്ടെ.

32. The meek have seen it, and are glad: You+ who seek after God, let your+ heart live.

33. യഹോവ ദരിദ്രന്മാരുടെ പ്രാര്ത്ഥന കേള്ക്കുന്നു; തന്റെ ബദ്ധന്മാരെ നിന്ദിക്കുന്നതുമില്ല;

33. For Yahweh hears the needy, And does not despise his prisoners.

34. ആകാശവും ഭൂമിയും സമുദ്രങ്ങളും അവയില് ചരിക്കുന്ന സകലവും അവനെ സ്തുതിക്കട്ടെ.

34. Let heaven and earth praise him, The seas, and everything that moves in them.

35. ദൈവം സീയോനെ രക്ഷിക്കും; അവന് യെഹൂദാനഗരങ്ങളെ പണിയും; അവര് അവിടെ പാര്ത്തു അതിനെ കൈവശമാക്കും.

35. For God will save Zion, and build the cities of Judah; And they will remain there, and have it in possession.

36. അവന്റെ ദാസന്മാരുടെ സന്തതി അതിനെ അവകാശമാക്കും; അവന്റെ നാമത്തെ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നവര് അതില് വസിക്കും. (സംഗീതപ്രമാണിക്കു; ദാവീദിന്റെ ഒരു ജ്ഞാപകസങ്കീര്ത്തനം.)

36. The seed also of his slaves will inherit it; And those who love his name will stay there.
