1. യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു എനിക്കുണ്ടായതെന്തെന്നാല്

1. The worde of the Lord came vnto me againe, saying,

2. അപ്പന്മാര് പച്ചമുന്തിരിങ്ങാ തിന്നു മക്കളുടെ പല്ലു പുളിച്ചു എന്നു നിങ്ങള് യിസ്രായേല്ദേശത്തു ഒരു പഴഞ്ചൊല്ലു പറയുന്നതു എന്തു?

2. What meane ye that ye speake this prouerbe, concerning the land of Israel, saying, The fathers haue eaten sowre grapes, and the childrens teeth are set on edge?

3. എന്നാണ, നിങ്ങള് ഇനി യിസ്രായേലില് ഈ പഴഞ്ചൊല്ലു പറവാന് ഇടവരികയില്ല എന്നു യഹോവയായ കര്ത്താവിന്റെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

3. As I liue, sayth the Lord God, ye shall vse this prouerbe no more in Israel.

4. സകല ദേഹികളും എനിക്കുള്ളവര്; അപ്പന്റെ പ്രാണനും മകന്റെ പ്രാണനും ഒരുപോലെ എനിക്കുള്ളതു; പാപം ചെയ്യുന്ന ദേഹി മരിക്കും.

4. Beholde, all soules are mine, both the soule of the father, and also the soule of the sonne are mine: the soule that sinneth, it shall die.

5. എന്നാല് ഒരു മനുഷ്യന് നീതിമാനായിരുന്നു നീതിയും ന്യായവും പ്രവര്ത്തിക്കുന്നു എങ്കില്--

5. But if a man be iust, and doe that which is lawfull, and right,

6. പൂജാഗിരികളില്വെച്ചു ഭക്ഷണം കഴിക്കയോ യിസ്രായേല്ഗൃഹത്തിന്റെ വിഗ്രഹങ്ങളെ നോക്കി നമസ്കരിക്കയോ കൂട്ടുകാരന്റെ ഭാര്യയെ വഷളാക്കുകയോ ഋതുവായ സ്ത്രീയുടെ അടുക്കല് ചെല്ലുകയോ ആരോടും അന്യായം പ്രവര്ത്തിക്കയോ ചെയ്യാതെ

6. And hath not eaten vpon the mountaines, neither hath lift vp his eyes to the idoles of the house of Israel, neither hath defiled his neighbours wife, neither hath lyen with a menstruous woman,

7. കടം വാങ്ങിയവന്നു പണയം മടക്കിക്കൊടുക്കയും ആരോടും പിടിച്ചുപറിക്കാതെ തന്റെ അപ്പം വിശപ്പുള്ളവന്നു കൊടുക്കയും നഗ്നനെ ഉടുപ്പിക്കയും

7. Neither hath oppressed any, but hath restored the pledge to his dettour: he that hath spoyled none by violence, but hath giuen his bread to the hungry, and hath couered the naked with a garment,

8. പലിശെക്കു കൊടുക്കയോ ലാഭം വാങ്ങുകയോ ചെയ്യാതിരിക്കയും നീതികേടു ചെയ്യാതവണ്ണം കൈ മടക്കിക്കൊള്കയും മനുഷ്യര്ക്കും തമ്മിലുള്ള വ്യവഹാരത്തില് നേരോടെ വിധിക്കയും

8. And hath not giuen foorth vpon vsurie, neither hath taken any increase, but hath withdrawen his hand from iniquitie, and hath executed true iudgement betweene man and man,

9. എന്റെ ചട്ടങ്ങളെ അനുസരിക്കയും എന്റെ ന്യായങ്ങളെ പ്രമാണിക്കയും ചെയ്തുകൊണ്ടു നേരോടേ നടക്കുന്നവന് നീതിമാന് - അവന് നിശ്ചയമായി ജീവിച്ചിരിക്കും എന്നു യഹോവയായ കര്ത്താവിന്റെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

9. And hath walked in my statutes, and hath kept my iudgements to deale truely, he is iust, he shall surely liue, sayth the Lord God.

10. എന്നാല് അവന്നു ഒരു മകന് ജനിച്ചിട്ടു അവന് നിഷ്കണ്ടകനായിരുന്നു രക്തം ചൊരിക, അവയില് ഏതെങ്കിലും ചെയ്ക,

10. If he beget a sonne, that is a thiefe, or a sheader of blood, if he do any one of these things,

11. ചെയ്യേണ്ടതൊന്നും ചെയ്യാതിരിക്ക, പൂജാഗിരികളില് വെച്ചു ഭക്ഷണം കഴിക്ക,

11. Though he doe not all these things, but either hath eaten vpon the mountaines, or defiled his neighbours wife,

12. കൂട്ടുകാരന്റെ ഭാര്യയെ വഷളാക്കുക, എളിയവനോടും ദരിദ്രനോടും അന്യായം ചെയ്ക, പിടിച്ചുപറിക്ക, പണയം മടക്കിക്കൊടുക്കാതിരിക്ക, വിഗ്രഹങ്ങളെ നോക്കി നമസ്കരിക്ക,

12. Or hath oppressed the poore and needy, or hath spoyled by violence, or hath not restored the pledge, or hath lift vp his eyes vnto the idoles, or hath committed abomination,

13. മ്ളേച്ഛത പ്രവര്ത്തിക്ക, പലിശെക്കു കൊടുക്ക, ലാഭം വാങ്ങുക എന്നീവക ചെയ്യുന്നവനായാല് അവന് ജീവിച്ചിരിക്കുമോ? അവന് ജീവിച്ചിരിക്കയില്ല; അവന് ഈ മ്ളേച്ഛതകളൊക്കെയും ചെയ്തുവല്ലോ; അവന് മരിക്കും; അവന്റെ രക്തം അവന്റെ മേല് വരും.

13. Or hath giuen forth vpon vsurie, or hath taken increase, shall he liue? he shall not liue: seeing he hath done all these abominations, he shall die the death, and his blood shall be vpon him.

14. എന്നാല് അവന്നു ഒരു മകന് ജനിച്ചിട്ടു അവന് തന്റെ അപ്പന് ചെയ്ത സകല പാപങ്ങളും കണ്ടു പേടിച്ചു അങ്ങനെയുള്ളതിനെ ചെയ്യാതെ പര്വ്വതങ്ങളില്വെച്ചു ഭക്ഷണം കഴിക്ക,

14. But if he beget a sonne, that seeth all his fathers sinnes, which he hath done, and feareth, neither doeth such like,

15. യിസ്രായേല്ഗൃഹത്തിന്റെ വിഗ്രഹങ്ങളെ നോക്കി നമസ്കരിക്ക, കൂട്ടുകാരന്റെ ഭാര്യയെ വഷളാക്കുക,

15. That hath not eaten vpon the mountaines, neither hath lift vp his eyes to the idols of ye house of Israel, nor hath defiled his neighbours wife,

16. ആരോടെങ്കിലും അന്യായം ചെയ്ക, പണയം കൈവശം വെച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരിക്ക, പിടിച്ചുപറിക്ക, എന്നീവകയൊന്നും ചെയ്യാതെ വിശപ്പുള്ളവന്നു അപ്പം കൊടുക്കയും നഗ്നനെ ഉടുപ്പിക്കയും

16. Neither hath oppressed any, nor hath withholden the pledge, neither hath spoyled by violence, but hath giuen his bread to the hungry, and hath couered the naked with a garment,

17. നീതികേടു ചെയ്യാതവണ്ണം കൈ മടക്കിക്കൊള്കയും പലിശയും ലാഭവും വാങ്ങാതിരിക്കയും എന്റെ വിധികളെ നടത്തി എന്റെ ചട്ടങ്ങളെ അനുസരിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നു എങ്കില് അവന് അപ്പന്റെ അകൃത്യംനിമിത്തം മരിക്കാതെ ജീവിച്ചിരിക്കും.

17. Neither hath withdrawen his hand from the afflicted, nor receiued vsurie nor increase, but hath executed my iudgements, and hath walked in my statutes, he shall not die in the iniquitie of his father, but he shall surely liue.

18. അവന്റെ അപ്പനോ ക്രൂരപീഡനംചെയ്തു, സഹോദരനോടു പിടിച്ചുപറിച്ചു, തന്റെ ജനത്തിന്റെ ഇടയില് കൊള്ളരുതാത്തതു പ്രവര്ത്തിച്ചതുകൊണ്ടു തന്റെ അകൃത്യത്താല് മരിക്കും.

18. His father, because he cruelly oppressed and spoyled his brother by violence, and hath not done good among his people, loe, euen he dyeth in his iniquitie.

19. എന്നാല് മകന് അപ്പന്റെ അകൃത്യം വഹിക്കേണ്ടതല്ലയോ എന്നു നിങ്ങള് ചോദിക്കുന്നു; മകന് നീതിയും ന്യായവും പ്രവര്ത്തിച്ചു എന്റെ ചട്ടങ്ങളെ പ്രമാണിച്ചു നടക്കുന്നു എങ്കില്, അവന് ജീവിച്ചിരിക്കും.

19. Yet say ye, Wherefore shall not the sonne beare the iniquitie of the father? because ye sonne hath executed iudgement and iustice, and hath kept all my statutes, and done them, he shall surely liue,

20. പാപം ചെയ്യുന്ന ദേഹി മരിക്കും; മകന് അപ്പന്റെ അകൃത്യം വഹിക്കേണ്ട; അപ്പന് മകന്റെ അകൃത്യവും വഹിക്കേണ്ട; നീതിമാന്റെ നീതി അവന്റെമേലും ദുഷ്ടന്റെ ദുഷ്ടത അവന്റെമേലും ഇരിക്കും.
യോഹന്നാൻ 9:2

20. The same soule that sinneth, shall die: the sonne shall not beare the iniquitie of the father, neither shall the father beare the iniquitie of the sonne, but the righteousnes of the righteous shall be vpon him, and the wickednesse of the wicked shall be vpon him selfe.

21. എന്നാല് ദുഷ്ടന് താന് ചെയ്ത സകല പാപങ്ങളെയും വിട്ടുതിരിഞ്ഞു എന്റെ ചട്ടങ്ങളെയൊക്കെയും പ്രമാണിച്ചു, നീതിയും ന്യായവും പ്രവര്ത്തിക്കുന്നു എങ്കില്, അവന് മരിക്കാതെ ജീവിച്ചിരിക്കും.

21. But if the wicked will returne from all his sinnes that he hath committed, and keepe all my statutes, and doe that which is lawfull and right, he shall surely liue, and shall not die.

22. അവന് ചെയ്ത അതിക്രമങ്ങളില് ഔന്നിനെയും അവന്നു കണക്കിടുകയില്ല; അവന് ചെയ്ത നീതിയാല് അവന് ജീവിക്കും.

22. All his transgressions that he hath committed, they shall not be mentioned vnto him, but in his righteousnes that he hath done, he shall liue.

23. ദുഷ്ടന്റെ മരണത്തില് എനിക്കു അല്പമെങ്കിലും താല്പര്യം ഉണ്ടോ? അവന് തന്റെ വഴികളെ വിട്ടുതിരിഞ്ഞു ജീവിക്കേണമെന്നല്ലയോ എന്റെ താല്പര്യം എന്നു യഹോവയായ കര്ത്താവിന്റെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

23. Haue I any desire that the wicked should die, sayth the Lord God? or shall he not liue, if he returne from his wayes?

24. എന്നാല് നീതിമാന് തന്റെ നീതി വിട്ടുതിരിഞ്ഞു നീതികേടു പ്രവര്ത്തിച്ചു, ദുഷ്ടന് ചെയ്യുന്ന സകലമ്ളേച്ഛതകളെയുംപോലെ ചെയ്യുന്നു എങ്കില്, അവന് ജീവിച്ചിരിക്കുമോ? അവന് ചെയ്ത നീതിയൊന്നും കണക്കിടുകയില്ല; അവന് ചെയ്ത ദ്രോഹത്താലും അവന് ചെയ്ത പാപത്താലും അവന് മരിക്കും.

24. But if the righteous turne away from his righteousnes, and commit iniquitie, and doe according to all the abominations, that the wicked man doeth, shall he liue? all his righteousnes that he hath done, shall not be mentioned: but in his transgression that he hath committed, and in his sinne that he hath sinned, in them shall he die.

25. എന്നാല് നിങ്ങള്കര്ത്താവിന്റെ വഴി ചൊവ്വുള്ളതല്ല എന്നു പറയുന്നു; യിസ്രായേല്ഗൃഹമേ, കേള്പ്പിന് ; എന്റെ വഴി ചൊവ്വുള്ളതല്ലയോ നിങ്ങളുടെ വഴികള് ചൊവ്വില്ലാത്തവയല്ലയോ?

25. Yet ye say, The way of the Lord is not equall: heare now, O house of Israel. Is not my way equall? or are not your wayes vnequall?

26. നീതിമാന് തന്റെ നിതി വിട്ടുതിരിഞ്ഞു നീതികേടു പ്രവര്ത്തിക്കുന്നുവെങ്കില് അവന് അതുനിമിത്തം മരിക്കും; അവന് ചെയ്ത നീതികേടു നിമിത്തം തന്നേ അവന് മരിക്കും.

26. For when a righteous man turneth away from his righteousnes, and committeth iniquitie, he shall euen die for the same, he shall euen die for his iniquitie, that he hath done.

27. ദുഷ്ടന് താന് ചെയ്ത ദുഷ്ടത വിട്ടുതിരിഞ്ഞു നീതിയും ന്യായവും പ്രവര്ത്തിക്കുന്നു എങ്കില്, അവന് തന്നെത്താന് ജീവനോടെ രക്ഷിക്കും.

27. Againe when the wicked turneth away from his wickednes that he hath committed, and doeth that which is lawfull and right, he shall saue his soule aliue.

28. അവന് ഔര്ത്തു താന് ചെയ്ത അതിക്രമങ്ങളെയൊക്കെയും വിട്ടുതിരിയുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു അവന് മരിക്കാതെ ജീവിച്ചിരിക്കും

28. Because he considereth, and turneth away from all his transgressions that hee hath committed, he shall surely liue and shall not die.

29. എന്നാല് യിസ്രായേല്ഗൃഹംകര്ത്താവിന്റെ വഴി ചൊവ്വുള്ളതല്ല എന്നു പറയുന്നു; യിസ്രായേല്ഗൃഹമേ, എന്റെ വഴികള് ചൊവ്വുള്ളവയല്ലയോ? നിങ്ങളുടെ വഴികള് ചൊവ്വില്ലാത്തവയല്ലയോ?

29. Yet saith ye house of Israel, The way of the Lord is not equall. O house of Israel, are not my wayes equall? or are not your wayes vnequall?

30. അതുകൊണ്ടു യിസ്രായേല്ഗൃഹമേ, ഞാന് നിങ്ങളില് ഔരോരുത്തന്നും അവനവന്റെ വഴിക്കു തക്കവണ്ണം ന്യായം വിധിക്കും എന്നു യഹോവയായ കര്ത്താവിന്റെ അരുളപ്പാടുഅകൃത്യം നിങ്ങള്ക്കു നാശകരമായി ഭവിക്കാതെയിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നിങ്ങള് മനന്തിരിഞ്ഞു നിങ്ങളുടെ അതിക്രമങ്ങളൊക്കെയും വിട്ടുതിരിവിന് .

30. Therefore I will iudge you, O house of Israel, euery one according to his wayes, sayth the Lord God: returne therefore and cause others to turne away from all your transgressions: so iniquitie shall not be your destruction.

31. നിങ്ങള് ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്ന അതിക്രമങ്ങളൊക്കെയും നിങ്ങളില്നിന്നു എറിഞ്ഞുകളവിന് ; നിങ്ങള്ക്കു പുതിയോരു ഹൃദയത്തെയും പുതിയോരു ആത്മാവിനെയും സമ്പാദിച്ചുകൊള്വിന് ; യിസ്രായേല്ഗൃഹമേ നിങ്ങള് എന്തിനു മരിക്കുന്നു?

31. Cast away from you all your transgressions, whereby ye haue transgressed, and make you a newe heart and a new spirit: for why will ye die, O house of Israel?

32. മരിക്കുന്നവന്റെ മരണത്തില് എനിക്കു ഇഷ്ടമില്ല എന്നു യഹോവയായ കര്ത്താവിന്റെ അരുളപ്പാടു; ആകയാല് നിങ്ങള് മനന്തിരിഞ്ഞു ജീവിച്ചുകൊള്വിന് .

32. For I desire not the death of him that dyeth, sayth the Lord God: cause therefore one another to returne, and liue ye.
