1. യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു എനിക്കുണ്ടായതെന്തെന്നാല്

1. And the word of Yahweh came unto me saying:

2. അപ്പന്മാര് പച്ചമുന്തിരിങ്ങാ തിന്നു മക്കളുടെ പല്ലു പുളിച്ചു എന്നു നിങ്ങള് യിസ്രായേല്ദേശത്തു ഒരു പഴഞ്ചൊല്ലു പറയുന്നതു എന്തു?

2. What occasion have ye, to be using this proverb, concerning the so of Israel, saying, Fathers eat sour grapes, And the children's teeth are blunted?

3. എന്നാണ, നിങ്ങള് ഇനി യിസ്രായേലില് ഈ പഴഞ്ചൊല്ലു പറവാന് ഇടവരികയില്ല എന്നു യഹോവയായ കര്ത്താവിന്റെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

3. As I live, Declareth My Lord, Yahweh, Surely ye shall have occasion no longer to use this proverb, in Israel.

4. സകല ദേഹികളും എനിക്കുള്ളവര്; അപ്പന്റെ പ്രാണനും മകന്റെ പ്രാണനും ഒരുപോലെ എനിക്കുള്ളതു; പാപം ചെയ്യുന്ന ദേഹി മരിക്കും.

4. Lo! as for all persons, mine they are, As the person of the father, so also the person of the son, mine they are, The person that sinneth, the same shall die.

5. എന്നാല് ഒരു മനുഷ്യന് നീതിമാനായിരുന്നു നീതിയും ന്യായവും പ്രവര്ത്തിക്കുന്നു എങ്കില്--

5. But when, any man, shall be righteous, and do justice and righteousness:

6. പൂജാഗിരികളില്വെച്ചു ഭക്ഷണം കഴിക്കയോ യിസ്രായേല്ഗൃഹത്തിന്റെ വിഗ്രഹങ്ങളെ നോക്കി നമസ്കരിക്കയോ കൂട്ടുകാരന്റെ ഭാര്യയെ വഷളാക്കുകയോ ഋതുവായ സ്ത്രീയുടെ അടുക്കല് ചെല്ലുകയോ ആരോടും അന്യായം പ്രവര്ത്തിക്കയോ ചെയ്യാതെ

6. Upon the mountains, hath not eaten, And his eyes, hath not lifted up unto the manufactured gods of the house of Israel, And the wife of his neighbour, hath not defiled, And unto a woman during her removal, hath not approached;

7. കടം വാങ്ങിയവന്നു പണയം മടക്കിക്കൊടുക്കയും ആരോടും പിടിച്ചുപറിക്കാതെ തന്റെ അപ്പം വിശപ്പുള്ളവന്നു കൊടുക്കയും നഗ്നനെ ഉടുപ്പിക്കയും

7. And no man, hath treated with violence, But his debt-pledge, hath restored. Plunder, hath not seized, His bread to the famished, hath given, And the naked, hath covered with clothing;

8. പലിശെക്കു കൊടുക്കയോ ലാഭം വാങ്ങുകയോ ചെയ്യാതിരിക്കയും നീതികേടു ചെയ്യാതവണ്ണം കൈ മടക്കിക്കൊള്കയും മനുഷ്യര്ക്കും തമ്മിലുള്ള വ്യവഹാരത്തില് നേരോടെ വിധിക്കയും

8. Upon interest, hath not put out his money. And increase, hath not accepted, From dishonesty, hath turned back his hand, Justice in truth, hath doze, between man and man;

9. എന്റെ ചട്ടങ്ങളെ അനുസരിക്കയും എന്റെ ന്യായങ്ങളെ പ്രമാണിക്കയും ചെയ്തുകൊണ്ടു നേരോടേ നടക്കുന്നവന് നീതിമാന് - അവന് നിശ്ചയമായി ജീവിച്ചിരിക്കും എന്നു യഹോവയായ കര്ത്താവിന്റെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

9. In my statutes, hath walked. And my regulations, hath observed to do them in truth, Righteous, he is, He shall surely live, Declareth My Lord. Yahweh.

10. എന്നാല് അവന്നു ഒരു മകന് ജനിച്ചിട്ടു അവന് നിഷ്കണ്ടകനായിരുന്നു രക്തം ചൊരിക, അവയില് ഏതെങ്കിലും ചെയ്ക,

10. But he hath begotten a son Who is a violent man A shedder of blood, Who doeth the like of any of these things;

11. ചെയ്യേണ്ടതൊന്നും ചെയ്യാതിരിക്ക, പൂജാഗിരികളില് വെച്ചു ഭക്ഷണം കഴിക്ക,

11. Whereas he, none of those other things, doeth, For indeed upon the mountains, he hath eaten, And the wife of his neighbour, hath defiled;

12. കൂട്ടുകാരന്റെ ഭാര്യയെ വഷളാക്കുക, എളിയവനോടും ദരിദ്രനോടും അന്യായം ചെയ്ക, പിടിച്ചുപറിക്ക, പണയം മടക്കിക്കൊടുക്കാതിരിക്ക, വിഗ്രഹങ്ങളെ നോക്കി നമസ്കരിക്ക,

12. The oppressed and the needy, hath treated with violence, Hath ruthlessly plundered, The pledge, hath not restored, But unto the manufactured gods, hath lifted up his eyes, Abomination, hath wrought;

13. മ്ളേച്ഛത പ്രവര്ത്തിക്ക, പലിശെക്കു കൊടുക്ക, ലാഭം വാങ്ങുക എന്നീവക ചെയ്യുന്നവനായാല് അവന് ജീവിച്ചിരിക്കുമോ? അവന് ജീവിച്ചിരിക്കയില്ല; അവന് ഈ മ്ളേച്ഛതകളൊക്കെയും ചെയ്തുവല്ലോ; അവന് മരിക്കും; അവന്റെ രക്തം അവന്റെ മേല് വരും.

13. Upon interest, hath put out. And increase, hath accepted , And shall he live? He shall not live All these abominations, he hath done, He shall surely be put to death, His blood, upon himself, shall be.

14. എന്നാല് അവന്നു ഒരു മകന് ജനിച്ചിട്ടു അവന് തന്റെ അപ്പന് ചെയ്ത സകല പാപങ്ങളും കണ്ടു പേടിച്ചു അങ്ങനെയുള്ളതിനെ ചെയ്യാതെ പര്വ്വതങ്ങളില്വെച്ചു ഭക്ഷണം കഴിക്ക,

14. But lo! he hath begotten a son, Who hath considered all the sins of his father which he hath done, Yea lie hath considered and not done like them:

15. യിസ്രായേല്ഗൃഹത്തിന്റെ വിഗ്രഹങ്ങളെ നോക്കി നമസ്കരിക്ക, കൂട്ടുകാരന്റെ ഭാര്യയെ വഷളാക്കുക,

15. Upon the mountains, hath not eaten, And his eyes, hath not lifted up unto the manufactured gods of the house of Israel, The wife of his neighbour, hath not defiled;

16. ആരോടെങ്കിലും അന്യായം ചെയ്ക, പണയം കൈവശം വെച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരിക്ക, പിടിച്ചുപറിക്ക, എന്നീവകയൊന്നും ചെയ്യാതെ വിശപ്പുള്ളവന്നു അപ്പം കൊടുക്കയും നഗ്നനെ ഉടുപ്പിക്കയും

16. And no man, hath he treated with violence, Hath he no means withholden the pledge, And plunder, hath not seized, His bread to the famished, hath given And the naked, hath covered with clothing;

17. നീതികേടു ചെയ്യാതവണ്ണം കൈ മടക്കിക്കൊള്കയും പലിശയും ലാഭവും വാങ്ങാതിരിക്കയും എന്റെ വിധികളെ നടത്തി എന്റെ ചട്ടങ്ങളെ അനുസരിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നു എങ്കില് അവന് അപ്പന്റെ അകൃത്യംനിമിത്തം മരിക്കാതെ ജീവിച്ചിരിക്കും.

17. From dishonesty, hath turned back his hand Neither interest nor increase, hath accepted, my regulations, hath executed, In my statutes, hath walked, He shall not die for the iniquity of his father He shall surely live.

18. അവന്റെ അപ്പനോ ക്രൂരപീഡനംചെയ്തു, സഹോദരനോടു പിടിച്ചുപറിച്ചു, തന്റെ ജനത്തിന്റെ ഇടയില് കൊള്ളരുതാത്തതു പ്രവര്ത്തിച്ചതുകൊണ്ടു തന്റെ അകൃത്യത്താല് മരിക്കും.

18. His father Because he exacted unjust gain Seized plunder of a brother, And that which was not good, had-done in the midst of his people Therefore lo! he died, in his iniquity.

19. എന്നാല് മകന് അപ്പന്റെ അകൃത്യം വഹിക്കേണ്ടതല്ലയോ എന്നു നിങ്ങള് ചോദിക്കുന്നു; മകന് നീതിയും ന്യായവും പ്രവര്ത്തിച്ചു എന്റെ ചട്ടങ്ങളെ പ്രമാണിച്ചു നടക്കുന്നു എങ്കില്, അവന് ജീവിച്ചിരിക്കും.

19. Will ye then say. Why hath not the son borne a part of the iniquity of the father? But the son hath done justice and righteousness, All my statutes, hath observed and done them He shall surely live.

20. പാപം ചെയ്യുന്ന ദേഹി മരിക്കും; മകന് അപ്പന്റെ അകൃത്യം വഹിക്കേണ്ട; അപ്പന് മകന്റെ അകൃത്യവും വഹിക്കേണ്ട; നീതിമാന്റെ നീതി അവന്റെമേലും ദുഷ്ടന്റെ ദുഷ്ടത അവന്റെമേലും ഇരിക്കും.
യോഹന്നാൻ 9:2

20. The person that sinneth, the same, shall die, the son shall not bear a part of the iniquity of, the father, neither shall a father bear a part of the iniquity of the son, the righteousness of the righteous upon himself, shall be. And the lawlessness of a lawless man upon himself, shall be.

21. എന്നാല് ദുഷ്ടന് താന് ചെയ്ത സകല പാപങ്ങളെയും വിട്ടുതിരിഞ്ഞു എന്റെ ചട്ടങ്ങളെയൊക്കെയും പ്രമാണിച്ചു, നീതിയും ന്യായവും പ്രവര്ത്തിക്കുന്നു എങ്കില്, അവന് മരിക്കാതെ ജീവിച്ചിരിക്കും.

21. But as for the lawless man When he shall turn back from all his sins which he hath committed, And observe all my statutes, And do justice and righteousness He shall surely live. He shall note die:

22. അവന് ചെയ്ത അതിക്രമങ്ങളില് ഔന്നിനെയും അവന്നു കണക്കിടുകയില്ല; അവന് ചെയ്ത നീതിയാല് അവന് ജീവിക്കും.

22. None of his transgressions which he hath committed shall be remembered against him, In his righteousness which he hath done, he shall live.

23. ദുഷ്ടന്റെ മരണത്തില് എനിക്കു അല്പമെങ്കിലും താല്പര്യം ഉണ്ടോ? അവന് തന്റെ വഴികളെ വിട്ടുതിരിഞ്ഞു ജീവിക്കേണമെന്നല്ലയോ എന്റെ താല്പര്യം എന്നു യഹോവയായ കര്ത്താവിന്റെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

23. Could I take delight, in the death of the lawless? Demandeth My Lord. Yahweh. Must it not be in his turning from his ways in which case he shall live?

24. എന്നാല് നീതിമാന് തന്റെ നീതി വിട്ടുതിരിഞ്ഞു നീതികേടു പ്രവര്ത്തിച്ചു, ദുഷ്ടന് ചെയ്യുന്ന സകലമ്ളേച്ഛതകളെയുംപോലെ ചെയ്യുന്നു എങ്കില്, അവന് ജീവിച്ചിരിക്കുമോ? അവന് ചെയ്ത നീതിയൊന്നും കണക്കിടുകയില്ല; അവന് ചെയ്ത ദ്രോഹത്താലും അവന് ചെയ്ത പാപത്താലും അവന് മരിക്കും.

24. But when a righteous man I shall turn away I from his righteousness and do that which is perverse, Shall do according to all the abominations which the lawless man hath done Shall he live? None of his righteous acts which he hath done shall be remembered, In his treachery wherein he hath been treacherous, And in his sin wherein he hath sinned In them, shall he die.

25. എന്നാല് നിങ്ങള്കര്ത്താവിന്റെ വഴി ചൊവ്വുള്ളതല്ല എന്നു പറയുന്നു; യിസ്രായേല്ഗൃഹമേ, കേള്പ്പിന് ; എന്റെ വഴി ചൊവ്വുള്ളതല്ലയോ നിങ്ങളുടെ വഴികള് ചൊവ്വില്ലാത്തവയല്ലയോ?

25. Can ye then say The way of My Lord will not be equal? Hear I pray you O house of Israel, Will my way, not be equal? Will not your ways be unequal?

26. നീതിമാന് തന്റെ നിതി വിട്ടുതിരിഞ്ഞു നീതികേടു പ്രവര്ത്തിക്കുന്നുവെങ്കില് അവന് അതുനിമിത്തം മരിക്കും; അവന് ചെയ്ത നീതികേടു നിമിത്തം തന്നേ അവന് മരിക്കും.

26. When a righteous man shall turn away from his righteousness and do that which is perverse and die because of those things In his own perversity which he hath done, shall he die.

27. ദുഷ്ടന് താന് ചെയ്ത ദുഷ്ടത വിട്ടുതിരിഞ്ഞു നീതിയും ന്യായവും പ്രവര്ത്തിക്കുന്നു എങ്കില്, അവന് തന്നെത്താന് ജീവനോടെ രക്ഷിക്കും.

27. But when a lawless man turneth away from his lawlessness which he hath done, And hath done justice and righteousness He, shall save his own soul, alive:

28. അവന് ഔര്ത്തു താന് ചെയ്ത അതിക്രമങ്ങളെയൊക്കെയും വിട്ടുതിരിയുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു അവന് മരിക്കാതെ ജീവിച്ചിരിക്കും

28. When he considered, then he turned away from all his transgressions which he had committed, He shall surely live. He shall not die.

29. എന്നാല് യിസ്രായേല്ഗൃഹംകര്ത്താവിന്റെ വഴി ചൊവ്വുള്ളതല്ല എന്നു പറയുന്നു; യിസ്രായേല്ഗൃഹമേ, എന്റെ വഴികള് ചൊവ്വുള്ളവയല്ലയോ? നിങ്ങളുടെ വഴികള് ചൊവ്വില്ലാത്തവയല്ലയോ?

29. Can the house of Israel then say- The way of My Lord will not be equal? Will my ways, not be equal O house of Israel? Will not your ways be unequal?

30. അതുകൊണ്ടു യിസ്രായേല്ഗൃഹമേ, ഞാന് നിങ്ങളില് ഔരോരുത്തന്നും അവനവന്റെ വഴിക്കു തക്കവണ്ണം ന്യായം വിധിക്കും എന്നു യഹോവയായ കര്ത്താവിന്റെ അരുളപ്പാടുഅകൃത്യം നിങ്ങള്ക്കു നാശകരമായി ഭവിക്കാതെയിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നിങ്ങള് മനന്തിരിഞ്ഞു നിങ്ങളുടെ അതിക്രമങ്ങളൊക്കെയും വിട്ടുതിരിവിന് .

30. Therefore, Every man according to his own ways, will I judge you O house of Israel, Declareth My Lord Yahweh, Return ye and make good your return from all your transgressions, That they become not unto you a stumbling_ block of iniquity.

31. നിങ്ങള് ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്ന അതിക്രമങ്ങളൊക്കെയും നിങ്ങളില്നിന്നു എറിഞ്ഞുകളവിന് ; നിങ്ങള്ക്കു പുതിയോരു ഹൃദയത്തെയും പുതിയോരു ആത്മാവിനെയും സമ്പാദിച്ചുകൊള്വിന് ; യിസ്രായേല്ഗൃഹമേ നിങ്ങള് എന്തിനു മരിക്കുന്നു?

31. Cast off from you all your transgressions which ye have committed against me, And make you a new heart; And a new spirit, For why should ye die, O house of Israel?

32. മരിക്കുന്നവന്റെ മരണത്തില് എനിക്കു ഇഷ്ടമില്ല എന്നു യഹോവയായ കര്ത്താവിന്റെ അരുളപ്പാടു; ആകയാല് നിങ്ങള് മനന്തിരിഞ്ഞു ജീവിച്ചുകൊള്വിന് .

32. For I cannot take delight in the death of him that dieth, Declareth My Lord Yahweh, Make good your return then and, live!
