1. ഉസ്സീയാവു, യോഥാം ആഹാസ്, ഹിസ്കീയാവു എന്നീ യെഹൂദാരാജാക്കന്മാരുടെ കാലത്തും യിസ്രായേല്രാജാവായി യോവാശിന്റെ മകനായ യൊരോബെയാമിന്റെ കാലത്തും ബെയേരിയുടെ മകനായ ഹോശേയെക്കു ഉണ്ടായ യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

1. I am Hosea son of Beeri. When Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah were the kings of Judah, and when Jeroboam son of Jehoash was king of Israel, the LORD spoke this message to me.

2. യഹോവ ഹോശേയമുഖാന്തരം സംസാരിച്ചു തുടങ്ങിയപ്പോള്, യഹോവ ഹോശേയയോടുനീ ചെന്നുപരസംഗം ചെയ്യുന്ന ഒരു ഭാര്യയെയും പരസംഗത്തില് ജനിച്ച മക്കളെയും എടുക്ക; ദേശം യഹോവയെ വിട്ടുമാറി കഠിന പരസംഗം ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു.

2. The LORD said, 'Hosea, Israel has betrayed me like an unfaithful wife. Marry such a woman and have children by her.'

3. അങ്ങനെ അവന് ചെന്നു ദിബ്ളയീമിന്റെ മകളായ ഗോമരിനെ പരിഗ്രഹിച്ചു; അവള് ഗര്ഭം ധരിച്ചു അവന്നു ഒരു മകനെ പ്രസവിച്ചു.

3. So I married Gomer the daughter of Diblaim, and we had a son.

4. യഹോവ അവനോടുഅവന്നു യിസ്രെയേല് (ദൈവം വിതെക്കും) എന്നു പേര്വിളിക്ക; ഇനി കുറെക്കാലം കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടു ഞാന് യിസ്രെയേലിന്റെ രക്തപാതകങ്ങളെ യേഹൂഗൃഹത്തോടു സന്ദര്ശിച്ചു യിസ്രായേല്ഗൃഹത്തിന്റെ രാജത്വം ഇല്ലാതെയാക്കും;

4. Then the LORD said, 'Hosea, name your son Jezreel, because I will soon punish the descendants of King Jehu of Israel for the murders he committed in Jezreel Valley. I will destroy his kingdom,

5. അന്നാളില് ഞാന് യിസ്രെയേല് താഴ്വരയില്വെച്ചു യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ വില്ലു ഒടിച്ചുകളയും എന്നു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു.

5. and in Jezreel Valley I will break the power of Israel.'

6. അവള് പിന്നെയും ഗര്ഭംധരിച്ചു ഒരു മകളെ പ്രസവിച്ചു. യഹോവ അവനോടുഅവള്ക്കു ലോരൂഹമാ (കരുണ ലഭിക്കാത്തവള്) എന്നു പേര് വിളിക്ക; ഞാന് ഇനി യിസ്രായേല്ഗൃഹത്തോടു ക്ഷമിപ്പാന് തക്കവണ്ണം അവരോടു ഒട്ടും കരുണ കാണിക്കയില്ല.

6. Later, Gomer had a daughter, and the LORD said, 'Name her Lo-Ruhamah, because I will no longer have mercy and forgive Israel.

7. But I am the LORD God of Judah, and I will have mercy and save Judah by my own power--not by wars and arrows or swords and cavalry.'

8. അവള് ലോരൂഹമയെ മുലകുടി മാറ്റിയശേഷം ഗര്ഭം ധരിച്ചു ഒരു മകനെ പ്രസവിച്ചു.

8. After Gomer had stopped nursing Lo-Ruhamah, she had another son.

9. അപ്പോള് യഹോവഅവന്നു ലോ-അമ്മീ (എന്റെ ജനമല്ല) എന്നു പേര് വിളിക്ക; നിങ്ങള് എന്റെ ജനമല്ല, ഞാന് നിങ്ങള്ക്കു ദൈവമായിരിക്കയുമില്ല എന്നു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു.

9. Then the LORD said, 'Name him Lo-Ammi, because these people are not mine, and I am not their God.'

10. എങ്കിലും യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളുടെ സംഖ്യ അളക്കുവാനും എണ്ണുവാനും കഴിയാത്ത കടല്ക്കരയിലെ പൂഴിപോലെ ഇരിക്കും; നിങ്ങള് എന്റെ ജനമല്ല എന്നു അവരോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതിന്നു പകരം നിങ്ങള് ജീവനുള്ള ദൈവത്തിന്റെ മക്കള് എന്നു അവരോടു പറയും.

10. Someday it will be impossible to count the people of Israel, because there will be as many of them as there are grains of sand along the seashore. They are now called 'Not My People,' but in the future they will be called 'Children of the Living God.'

11. യെഹൂദാമക്കളും യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളും ഒന്നിച്ചുകൂടി തങ്ങള്ക്കു ഒരേ തലവനെ നിയമിച്ചു ദേശത്തുനിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടുപോകും; യിസ്രെയേലിന്റെ നാള് വലുതായിരിക്കുമല്ലോ.

11. Israel and Judah will unite and choose one leader. Then they will take back their land, and this will be a great day for Jezreel.
