1. അവന് മലയില്നിന്നു ഇറങ്ങിവന്നാറെ വളരെ പുരുഷാരം അവനെ പിന് തുടര്ന്നു.

1. On that day Jesus went out of the house.

2. അപ്പോള് ഒരു കുഷ്ഠരോഗി വന്നു അവനെ നമസ്കരിച്ചു കര്ത്താവേ, നിനക്കു മനസ്സുണ്ടെങ്കില് എന്നെ ശുദ്ധമാക്കുവാന് കഴിയും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

2. And there were gathered to him great multitudes.

3. അവന് കൈ നീട്ടി അവനെ തൊട്ടു“എനിക്കു മനസ്സുണ്ടു; നീ ശുദ്ധമാക” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു; ഉടനെ കുഷ്ഠം മാറി അവന് ശുദ്ധമായി.

3. And he spoke to them many things in parables, saying, Look, the sower went forth to sow;

4. യേശു അവനോടു“നോകൂ, ആരോടും പറയരുതു; അവര്ക്കും സാക്ഷ്യത്തിന്നായി നീ ചെന്നു നിന്നെത്തന്നേ പുരോഹിതന്നു കാണിച്ചു, മോശെ കല്പിച്ച വഴിപാടു കഴിക്ക” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

4. and as he sowed, some [seeds] fell by the wayside, and the birds came and devoured them:

5. അവന് കഫര്ന്നഹൂമില് എത്തിയപ്പോള് ഒരു ശതാധിപന് വന്നു അവനോടു

5. and others fell on the rocky places, where they did not have much earth: and right away they sprang up, because they had no deepness of earth:

6. കര്ത്താവേ, എന്റെ ബാല്യക്കാരന് പക്ഷവാതം പിടിച്ചു കഠിനമായി വേദനപ്പെട്ടു വീട്ടില് കിടക്കുന്നു എന്നു അപേക്ഷിച്ചു പറഞ്ഞു.

6. and when the sun had risen, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away.

7. അവന് അവനോടു“ഞാന് വന്നു അവനെ സൌഖ്യമാക്കും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.”

7. And others fell on the thorns; and the thorns grew up and choked them:

8. അതിന്നു ശതാധിപന് കര്ത്താവേ, നീ എന്റെ പുരെക്കകത്തു വരുവാന് ഞാന് യോഗ്യനല്ല; ഒരു വാക്കുമാത്രം കല്പിച്ചാല് എന്റെ ബാല്യക്കാരന്നു സൌഖ്യം വരും.

8. and others fell on the good ground, and yielded fruit, some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.

9. ഞാനും അധികാരത്തിന് കീഴുള്ള മനുഷ്യന് ആകുന്നു. എന്റെ കീഴില് പടയാളികള് ഉണ്ടു; ഞാന് ഒരുവനോടുപോക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞാല് പോകുന്നു; മറ്റൊരുത്തനോടുവരിക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞാല് വരുന്നു; എന്റെ ദാസനോടുഇതു ചെയ്ക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞാല് അവന് ചെയ്യുന്നു എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

9. He who has ears, let him hear.

10. അതു കേട്ടിട്ടു യേശു അതിശയിച്ചു, പിന് ചെല്ലുന്നവരോടു പറഞ്ഞതു“യിസ്രായേലില്കൂടെ ഇത്ര വലിയ വിശ്വാസം കണ്ടിട്ടില്ല എന്നു ഞാന് സത്യമായിട്ടു നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു.

10. And the disciples came, and said to him, Why do you speak to them in parables?

11. കിഴക്കുനിന്നും പടിഞ്ഞാറുനിന്നും അനേകര് വന്നു അബ്രാഹാമിനോടും യിസ്ഹാക്കിനോടും യാക്കോബിനോടും കൂടെ സ്വര്ഗ്ഗരാജ്യത്തില് പന്തിക്കിരിക്കും.

11. And he answered and said to them, To you+ it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.

12. രാജ്യത്തിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരേയോ ഏറ്റവും പുറത്തുള്ള ഇരുളിലേക്കു തള്ളിക്കളയും; അവിടെ കരച്ചലും പല്ലുകടിയും ഉണ്ടാകും എന്നു ഞാന് നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു.”

12. For whoever has, to him will be given, and he will have abundance: but whoever does not have, from him will be taken away even that which he has.

13. പിന്നെ യേശു ശതാധിപനോടു“പോക, നീ വിശ്വസിച്ചതു പോലെ നിനക്കു ഭവിക്കട്ടെ” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. അ നാഴികയില് തന്നേ അവന്റെ ബാല്യക്കാരന്നു സൌഖ്യം വന്നു.

13. Therefore I speak to them in parables; because seeing they don't see, and hearing they don't hear, neither do they understand.

14. യേശു പത്രോസിന്റെ വീട്ടില് വന്നാറെ അവന്റെ അമ്മാവിയമ്മ പനിപിടിച്ചു കിടക്കുന്നതു കണ്ടു.

14. Then hear+ the parable of the sower.

15. അവന് അവളുടെ കൈതൊട്ടു പനി അവളെ വിട്ടു; അവള് എഴുന്നേറ്റു അവര്ക്കും ശുശ്രൂഷ ചെയ്തു.

15. When anyone hears the word of the kingdom, and does not understand it, [then] the evil [one] comes, and snatches away that which has been sown in his heart. This is he who was sown by the wayside.

16. വൈകുന്നേരം ആയപ്പോള് പല ഭൂതഗ്രസ്തരെയും അവന്റെ അടുക്കല് കൊണ്ടുവന്നു; അവന് വാക്കുകൊണ്ടു ദുരാത്മാക്കളെ പുറത്താക്കി സകലദീനക്കാര്ക്കും സൌഖ്യം വരുത്തി.

16. And he who was sown on the rocky places, this is he who hears the word, and right away with joy receives it;

17. അവന് നമ്മുടെ ബലഹീനതകളെ എടുത്തു വ്യാധികളെ ചുമന്നു എന്നു യെശയ്യാപ്രവാചകന് പറഞ്ഞതു നിവൃത്തിയാകുവാന് തന്നേ.

17. yet he does not have root in himself, but endures for awhile; and when tribulation or persecution rises because of the word, right away he stumbles.

18. എന്നാല് യേശു തന്റെ ചുറ്റും വളരെ പുരുഷാരത്തെ കണ്ടാറെ അക്കരെക്കു പോകുവാന് കല്പിച്ചു.

18. And he who was sown among the thorns, this is he who hears the word; and the care of the age, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becomes unfruitful.

19. അന്നു ഒരു ശാസ്ത്രി അവന്റെ അടുക്കല് വന്നുഗുരോ, നീ എവിടെ പോയാലും ഞാന് നിന്നെ അനുഗമിക്കാം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

19. And he who was sown on the good ground, this is he who hears the word, and understands it; who truly bears fruit, and brings forth, some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.

20. യേശു അവനോടു“കുറുനരികള്ക്കു കുഴികളും ആകാശത്തിലെ പറവകള്ക്കു കൂടുകളും ഉണ്ടു; മനുഷ്യപുത്രന്നോ തലചായിപ്പാന് ഇടം ഇല്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.”

20. He set another parable before the multitudes, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened to a man who sowed good seed in his field:

21. ശിഷ്യന്മാരില് വേറൊരുത്തന് അവനോടുകര്ത്താവേ, ഞാന് മുമ്പെപോയി എന്റെ അപ്പനെ അടക്കം ചെയ്വാന് അനുവാദം തരേണം എന്നുപറഞ്ഞു.

21. but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed weeds also among the wheat, and went away.

22. യേശു അവനോടു“നീ എന്റെ പിന്നാലെ വരിക; മരിച്ചവര് തങ്ങളുടെ മരിച്ചവരെ അടക്കം ചെയ്യട്ടെ” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

22. But when the blade sprang up and brought forth fruit, then appeared the weeds also.

23. അവന് ഒരു പടകില് കയറിയപ്പോള് അവന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാര് കൂടെ ചെന്നു.

23. And the slaves of the householder came and said to him, Sir, didn't you sow good seed in your field? From where then has it weeds?

24. പിന്നെ കടലില് വലിയ ഔളം ഉണ്ടായിട്ടു പടകു തിരകളാല് മുങ്ങുമാറായി; അവനോ ഉറങ്ങുകയായിരുന്നു.

24. And he said to them, A hostile man has done this. And the slaves say to him, Will you then that we go and gather them up?

25. അവര് അടുത്തുചെന്നുകര്ത്താവേ രക്ഷിക്കേണമേഞങ്ങള് നശിച്ചുപോകുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു അവനെ ഉണര്ത്തി.

25. But he says, No; lest perhaps while you+ gather up the weeds, you+ root up the wheat with them.

26. അവന് അവരോടു“അല്പവിശ്വാസികളെ, നിങ്ങള് ഭീരുക്കള് ആകുവാന് എന്തു” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞശേഷം എഴുന്നേറ്റു കാറ്റിനെയും കടലിനെയും ശാസിച്ചപ്പോള് വലിയ ശാന്തതയുണ്ടായി.

26. Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of the harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather up first the weeds, and bind them in bundles to burn them; but gather the wheat into my barn.

27. എന്നാറെ ആ മനുഷ്യര് അതിശയിച്ചുഇവന് എങ്ങനെയുള്ളവന് ? കാറ്റും കടലും കൂടെ ഇവനെ അനുസരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

27. Another parable he set before them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is like a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and sowed in his field:

28. അവന് അക്കരെ ഗദരേനരുടെ ദേശത്തു എത്തിയാറെ രണ്ടു ഭൂതഗ്രസ്തര് ശവക്കല്ലറകളില് നിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടു അവന്നു എതിരെ വന്നു; അവര് അത്യുഗ്രന്മാര് ആയിരുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു ആര്ക്കും ആ വഴി നടന്നുകൂടാഞ്ഞു.

28. which indeed is less than all seeds; but when it is grown, it is greater than the herbs, and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the heaven come and lodge in its branches.

29. അവര് നിലവിളിച്ചുദൈവപുത്രാ, ഞങ്ങള്ക്കും നിനക്കും തമ്മില് എന്തു? സമയത്തിന്നു മുമ്പെ ഞങ്ങളെ ദണ്ഡിപ്പിപ്പാന് ഇവിടെ വന്നുവോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

29. Another parable he spoke to them; The kingdom of heaven is like leaven, which a woman took, and hid in three measures of meal, until it was all leavened.

30. അവര്ക്കകലെ ഒരു വലിയ പന്നിക്കൂട്ടം മേഞ്ഞുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നു.

30. All these things Jesus spoke in parables to the multitudes; and without a parable he spoke nothing to them.

31. ഭൂതങ്ങള് അവനോടുഞങ്ങളെ പുറത്താക്കുന്നു എങ്കില് പന്നിക്കൂട്ടത്തിലേക്കു അയക്കേണം എന്നു അപേക്ഷിച്ചു

31. Then he left the multitudes, and went into the house: and his disciples came to him, saying, Explain to us the parable of the weeds of the field.

32. “പൊയ്ക്കൊള്വിന് ” എന്നു അവന് അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞു; അവര് പുറപ്പെട്ടു പന്നികളിലേക്കു ചെന്നു; ആ കൂട്ടം എല്ലാം കടുന്തൂക്കത്തൂടെ കടലിലേക്കു പാഞ്ഞു വെള്ളത്തില് മുങ്ങി ചത്തു.

32. And he answered and said, He who sows the good seed is the Son of Man;

33. മേയക്കുന്നവര് ഔടി പട്ടണത്തില് ചെന്നു സകലവും ഭൂതഗ്രസ്ഥരുടെ വസ്തുതയും അറിയിച്ചു.

33. and the field is the world; and the good seed, these are the sons of the kingdom; and the weeds are the sons of the evil [one];

34. ഉടനെ പട്ടണം എല്ലാം പുറപ്പെട്ടു യേശുവിന്നു എതിരെ ചെന്നു; അവനെ കണ്ടാറെ തങ്ങളുടെ അതിര് വിട്ടു പോകേണമെന്നു അപേക്ഷിച്ചു.

34. and the enemy that sowed them is the devil: and the harvest is the very end of the age; and the reapers are angels.
