1. അനന്തരം കര്ത്താവു വേറെ എഴുപതു പേരെ നിയമിച്ചു, താന് ചെല്ലുവാനുള്ള ഔരോ പട്ടണത്തിലേക്കും സ്ഥലത്തിലേക്കും അവരെ തനിക്കു മുമ്പായി ഈരണ്ടായി അയച്ചു, അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞതു

1. Now after these things the Lord appointed seventy others also, and He sent them two by two before His face into every city and place where He Himself was about to come.

2. കൊയ്ത്തു വളരെ ഉണ്ടു സത്യം; വേലക്കാരോ ചുരുക്കം; ആകയാല് കൊയ്ത്തിന്റെ യജമാനനോടു തന്റെ കൊയ്ത്തിന്നു വേലക്കാരെ അയക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അപേക്ഷിപ്പിന് .

2. Then He said to them, 'The harvest indeed [is] great, but the workers [are] few; therefore pray [to] the Lord of the harvest that He may send forth workers into His harvest.

3. പോകുവിന് ; ചെന്നായ്ക്കളുടെ നടുവില് കുഞ്ഞാടുകളെപ്പോലെ ഞാന് നിങ്ങളെ അയക്കുന്നു.

3. Go; behold, I send you out as lambs in [the] midst of wolves.

4. സഞ്ചിയും പൊക്കണവും ചെരിപ്പും എടുക്കരുതു; വഴിയില് വെച്ചു ആരെയും വന്ദനം ചെയ്കയുമരുതു;

4. Do not carry a money bag, nor a knapsack, nor sandals; and greet no one along the road.

5. ഏതു വീട്ടില് എങ്കിലും ചെന്നാല്ഈ വീട്ടിന്നു സമാധാനം എന്നു ആദ്യം പറവിന്

5. But whatever house you enter, first say, 'Peace to this house.'

6. അവിടെ ഒരു സമാധാനപുത്രന് ഉണ്ടെങ്കില് നിങ്ങളുടെ സമാധാനം അവന്മേല് വസിക്കും; ഇല്ലെന്നുവരികിലോ നിങ്ങളിലേക്കു മടങ്ങിപ്പോരും.

6. And if a son of peace is there, your peace will rest upon it; if not, it will return to you.

7. അവര് തരുന്നതു തിന്നും കുടിച്ചുംകൊണ്ടു ആ വീട്ടില് തന്നേ പാര്പ്പിന് ; വേലക്കാരന് തന്റെ കൂലിക്കു യോഗ്യനല്ലോ; വീട്ടില്നിന്നു വീട്ടിലേക്കു മാറിപ്പോകരുതു.

7. And remain in that very house, eating and drinking what they have, for the worker is worthy of his wages. Do not move from house to house.

8. ഏതു പട്ടണത്തിലെങ്കിലും ചെന്നാല് അവര് നിങ്ങളെ കൈക്കൊള്ളുന്നു എങ്കില് നിങ്ങളുടെ മുമ്പില് വെക്കുന്നതു ഭക്ഷിപ്പിന് . അതിലെ രോഗികളെ സൌഖ്യമാക്കി, ദൈവരാജ്യം നിങ്ങള്ക്കു സമീപിച്ചുവന്നിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു അവരോടു പറവിന് .

8. And into which ever city you enter, and they receive you, eat what is set before you.

9. ഏതു പട്ടണത്തിലെങ്കിലും ചെന്നാല് അവര് നിങ്ങളെ കൈക്കൊള്ളുന്നില്ലെങ്കില് അതിന്റെ തെരുക്കളില് പോയി

9. And heal the sick there, and say to them, 'The kingdom of God has drawn near to you.'

10. But whatever city you enter, and they do not receive you, go out into its streets and say,

11. 'The very dust from your city which clings to us we wipe off against you. Nevertheless know this, that the kingdom of God has drawn near to you.'

12. കോരസീനേ, നിനക്കു അയ്യോ കഷ്ടം! ബേത്ത് സയിദേ, നിനക്കു അയ്യോ കഷ്ടം! നിങ്ങളില് നടന്ന വീര്യപ്രവൃത്തികള് സോരിലും സീദോനിലും നടന്നിരുന്നു എങ്കില് അവര് പണ്ടുതന്നേ രട്ടിലും വെണ്ണീറിലും ഇരുന്നു മാനസാന്തരപ്പെടുമായിരുന്നു.

12. I say to you that it will be more tolerable in that Day for Sodom than for that city.

13. Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! Because if the miracles which were done in you had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago, sitting in sackcloth and ashes.

14. Nevertheless it will be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon in the judgment than for you.

15. And you, Capernaum, who are exalted to heaven, will be brought down to Hades.

16. He who hears you hears Me, he who rejects you rejects Me, and he who rejects Me rejects Him who sent Me.'

17. Then the seventy returned with joy, saying, 'Lord, even the demons are subject to us in Your name.'

18. And He said to them, 'I saw Satan having fallen like lightning out of heaven.

19. Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

20. Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rejoice because your names have been written in heaven.'

21. In that hour Jesus rejoiced in the Spirit and said, 'I praise You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that You have hidden these things from the wise and intelligent, and have revealed them to babes. Yes, Father, for so it seemed good in Your sight.'

22. പിന്നെ ശിഷ്യന്മാരുടെ നേരെ തിരിഞ്ഞുനിങ്ങള് കാണുന്നതിനെ കാണുന്ന കണ്ണു ഭാഗ്യമുള്ളതു.

22. And turning to His disciples He said, 'All things have been delivered to Me by My Father, and no one knows who the Son is except the Father, and who the Father is except the Son, and [the one] to whom the Son wills to reveal [Him].'

23. നിങ്ങള് കാണുന്നതിനെ കാണ്മാന് ഏറിയ പ്രവാചകന്മാരും രാജാക്കന്മാരും ഇച്ഛിച്ചിട്ടും കണ്ടില്ല; നിങ്ങള് കേള്ക്കുന്നതിനെ കേള്പ്പാന് ഇച്ഛിച്ചിട്ടും കേട്ടില്ല എന്നു ഞാന് നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു എന്നു പ്രത്യേകം പറഞ്ഞു.

23. And turning to His disciples He said privately, 'Blessed are the eyes which see what you see;

24. അനന്തരം ഒരു ന്യായശാസ്ത്രി എഴുന്നേറ്റുഗുരോ, ഞാന് നിത്യജീവന്നു അവകാശി ആയിത്തീരുവാന് എന്തു ചെയ്യേണം എന്നു അവനെ പരീക്ഷിച്ചു ചോദിച്ചു.

24. for I tell you that many prophets and kings have desired to see what you see, and they did not see [them], and to hear what you hear, and they did not hear.'

25. അവന് അവനോടുന്യായപ്രമാണത്തില് എന്തു എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നു; നീ എങ്ങനെ വായിക്കുന്നു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചതിന്നു അവന്

25. And behold, a certain lawyer stood up and tested Him, saying, 'Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?'

26. നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ കര്ത്താവിനെ നീ പൂര്ണ്ണഹൃദയത്തോടും പൂര്ണ്ണാത്മാവോടും പൂര്ണ്ണശക്തിയോടും പൂര്ണ്ണമനസ്സോടും കൂടെ സ്നേഹിക്കേണം എന്നും കൂട്ടുകാരനെ നിന്നെപ്പോലെതന്നെ സ്നേഹിക്കേണം എന്നും തന്നെ എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

26. He said to him, 'What is written in the law? How do you read [it]?'

27. അവന് അവനോടുനീ പറഞ്ഞ ഉത്തരം ശരി; അങ്ങനെ ചെയ്ക; എന്നാല് നീ ജീവിക്കും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

29. But he, wanting to justify himself, said to Jesus, 'And who is my neighbor?'

30. ആ വഴിയായി യദൃച്ഛയാ ഒരു പുരോഹിതന് വന്നു അവനെ കണ്ടിട്ടു മാറി കടന്നു പോയി.

30. Then Jesus answered and said: 'A certain man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and encountered bandits, who after having stripped him of his clothing and having wounded him, departed, leaving [him] half dead.

31. അങ്ങനെ തന്നേ ഒരു ലേവ്യനും ആ സ്ഥലത്തില് എത്തി അവനെ കണ്ടിട്ടു മാറി കടന്നുപോയി.

31. Now by coincidence a certain priest was coming down that road. And when he saw him, he passed by on the opposite side.

32. ഒരു ശമര്യക്കാരനോ വഴിപോകയില് അവന്റെ അടുക്കല് എത്തി അവനെ കണ്ടിട്ടു മനസ്സലിഞ്ഞു അരികെ ചെന്നു

32. Likewise a Levite, arriving at the place, came and saw, and passed by on the opposite side.

33. എണ്ണയും വീഞ്ഞും പകര്ന്നു അവന്റെ മുറിവുകളെ കെട്ടി അവനെ തന്റെ വാഹനത്തില് കയറ്റി വഴിയമ്പലത്തിലേക്കു കൊണ്ടുപോയി രക്ഷചെയ്തു.

33. But a certain Samaritan, as he traveled, came by him; and when he saw him, he was moved with compassion.

34. പിറ്റെന്നാള് അവന് പുറപ്പെടുമ്പോള് രണ്ടു വെള്ളിക്കാശ് എടുത്തു വഴിയമ്പലക്കാരന്നു കൊടുത്തുഇവനെ രക്ഷ ചെയ്യേണം; അധികം വല്ലതും ചെലവിട്ടാല് ഞാന് മടങ്ങിവരുമ്പോള് തന്നു കൊള്ളാം എന്നു അവനോടു പറഞ്ഞു.

34. And coming to him, he bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine; and putting him on his own animal, he brought him to an inn, and took care of him.

35. കള്ളന്മാരുടെ കയ്യില് അകപ്പെട്ടവന്നു ഈ മൂവരില് ഏവന് കൂട്ടുകാരനായിത്തീര്ന്നു എന്നു നിനക്കു തോന്നുന്നു?

35. On the next day, when he departed, he took out two denarii, and gave [them] to the innkeeper, and said to him, 'Take care of him; and whatever you spend in addition, when I come back, I will repay you.'

36. അവനോടു കരുണ കാണിച്ചവന് എന്നു അവന് പറഞ്ഞു. യേശു അവനോടു നീയും പോയി അങ്ങനെ തന്നേ ചെയ്ക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

36. So which of these three does it seem to you proved to be a neighbor to the man who fell among the bandits?'

37. പിന്നെ അവര് യാത്രപോകയില് അവന് ഒരു ഗ്രാമത്തില് എത്തി; മാര്ത്താ എന്നു പേരുള്ള ഒരു സ്ത്രീ അവനെ വീട്ടില് കൈക്കൊണ്ടു.

37. And he said, 'the [one] who showed mercy to him.' Then Jesus said to him, 'Go and do likewise.'

38. അവള്ക്കു മറിയ എന്ന ഒരു സഹോദരി ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. അവള് കര്ത്താവിന്റെ കാല്ക്കല് ഇരുന്നു അവന്റെ വചനം കേട്ടുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നു.

38. Now it came to pass as they traveled, that He entered into a certain village; and a certain woman named Martha welcomed Him into her house.

39. മാര്ത്തയോ വളരെ ശുശ്രൂഷയാല് കുഴങ്ങീട്ടു അടുക്കെവന്നുകര്ത്താവേ, എന്റെ സഹോദരി ശുശ്രൂഷെക്കു എന്നെ തനിച്ചു വിട്ടിരിക്കുന്നതില് നിനക്കു വിചാരമില്ലയോ? എന്നെ സഹായിപ്പാന് അവളോടു കല്പിച്ചാലും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

39. And the [woman] had a sister called Mary, who also sat at Jesus' feet and was listening to His word.

40. കര്ത്താവു അവളോടുമാര്ത്തയേ, മാര്ത്തയേ, നീ പലതിനെച്ചൊല്ലി വിചാരപ്പെട്ടും മനം കലങ്ങിയുമിരിക്കുന്നു.

40. But Martha was distracted with much serving, and she approached Him and said, 'Lord, don't You care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Therefore tell her to help me.'

41. എന്നാല് അല്പമേ വേണ്ടു; അല്ല, ഒന്നു മതി. മറിയ നല്ല അംശം തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു; അതു ആരും അവളോടു അപഹരിക്കയുമില്ല.

41. And Jesus answered and said to her, 'Martha, Martha, you are worried and troubled about many things.
