1. ആ സമയത്തു തന്നേ അവിടെ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്ന ചിലര് പീലാത്തൊസ് ചില ഗലീലക്കാരുടെ ചോര അവരുടെ യാഗങ്ങളോടു കലര്ത്തിയ വര്ത്തമാനം അവനോടു അറിയിച്ചു.

1. There were present at the same season, that shewed him of the Galileans, whose blood Pilate mingled with their own sacrifice.

2. അതിന്നു അവന് ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞതുആ ഗലീലക്കാര് ഇതു അനുഭവിക്കായാല് എല്ലാ ഗലീലക്കാരിലും പാപികള് ആയിരുന്നു എന്നു നിങ്ങള്ക്കു തോന്നുന്നുവോ? അല്ലല്ല, മാനസാന്തരപ്പെടാഞ്ഞാന് നിങ്ങള് എല്ലാവരും അങ്ങനെതന്നേ നശിച്ചുപോകും എന്നു ഞാന് നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു.

2. And Jesus answered, and said unto them: Suppose ye that these Galileans, were greater sinners than all the other Galileans because they suffered such punishment?

3. അല്ല, ശീലോഹാമിലെ ഗോപുരം വീണു മരിച്ചുപോയ ആ പതിനെട്ടുപേര് യെരൂശലേമില് പാര്ക്കുംന്ന സകല മനുഷ്യരിലും കുറ്റക്കാര് ആയിരുന്നു എന്നു തോന്നുന്നുവോ?

3. I tell you nay: but except ye repent,(amend your selves) ye shall all (in) likewise perish.

4. അല്ലല്ല, മാനസാന്തരപ്പെടാഞ്ഞാല് നിങ്ങള് എല്ലാവരും അങ്ങനെ തന്നേ നശിച്ചുപോകും എന്നു ഞാന് നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു.

4. Or think ye that those eighteen upon whom(which) the tower in Siloe fell and slew them,(think ye that they) were sinners above all men that dwell in Jerusalem?

5. അവന് ഈ ഉപമയും പറഞ്ഞുഒരുത്തന്നു തന്റെ മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടത്തില് നട്ടിരുന്നോരു അത്തിവൃക്ഷം ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; അവന് അതില് ഫലം തിരഞ്ഞുവന്നു, കണ്ടില്ലതാനും.

5. I tell you nay: But except ye repent,(amend your selves) ye all shall likewise perish.

6. അവന് തോട്ടക്കാരനോടുഞാന് ഇപ്പോള് മൂന്നു സംവത്സരമായി ഈ അത്തിയില് ഫലം തിരഞ്ഞുവരുന്നു കാണുന്നില്ലതാനും; അതിനെ വെട്ടിക്കളക അതു നിലത്തെ നിഷ്ഫലമാക്കുന്നതു എന്തിന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

6. He put forth this similitude; A certain man had a fig tree (planted) in his vineyard, and he came and sought fruit thereon, and found none.

7. അതിന്നു അവന് കര്ത്താവേ, ഞാന് അതിന്നു ചുറ്റും കിളെച്ചു വളം ഇടുവോളം ഈ ആണ്ടും കൂടെ നില്ക്കട്ടെ.

7. Then said he to the dresser of his vineyard: Behold this three year(three year long) have I come and sought fruit in this fig tree, and find none, cut it down: why cumbereth(hindereth) it the ground?

8. മേലാല് കായിച്ചെങ്കിലോ - ഇല്ലെങ്കില് വെട്ടിക്കളയാം എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

8. And he answered and said unto him: Lord let it alone this year also, till I dig round about it, and dung it,

9. ഒരു ശബ്ബത്തില് അവന് ഒരു പള്ളിയില് ഉപദേശിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നു;

9. to see whether it will bear(bring forth) fruit: (and) if (it bear) not, then after that, cut it down.

10. അവിടെ പതിനെട്ടു സംവത്സരമായി ഒരു രോഗാത്മാവു ബാധിച്ചിട്ടു ഒട്ടും നിവിരുവാന് കഴിയാതെ കൂനിയായോരു സ്ത്രീ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

10. (And) He taught in one of their synagogues on the Sabbath days.

11. യേശു അവളെ കണ്ടു അടുക്കെ വിളിച്ചുസ്ത്രിയേ, നിന്റെ രോഗബന്ധനം അഴിഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു അവളുടെ മേല് കൈവെച്ചു.

11. And behold there was a woman which had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years: and was bowed together,(to gether)(crooked) and could not well lift up herself.(and could not lift up her self at all)

12. അവള് ക്ഷണത്തില് നിവിര്ന്നു ദൈവത്തെ മഹത്വപ്പെടുത്തി.

12. When Jesus saw her, he called her to him, and said to her: woman, thou art(be) delivered from thy disease.

13. യേശു ശബ്ബത്തില് സൌഖ്യമാക്കിയതു കൊണ്ടു പള്ളി പ്രമാണി നീരസപ്പെട്ടു പുരുഷാരത്തോടുവേല ചെയ്വാന് ആറുദിവസമുണ്ടല്ലോ; അതിന്നകം വന്നു സൌഖ്യം വരുത്തിച്ചുകൊള്വിന് ; ശബ്ബത്തില് അരുതു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

13. And he laid his hands on her, and immediately she was made straight, and glorified(praised) God.

14. കര്ത്താവു അവനോടുകപടഭക്തിക്കാരേ, നിങ്ങളില് ഔരോരുത്തന് ശബ്ബത്തില് തന്റെ കാളയെയോ കഴുതയെയോ തൊട്ടിയില് നിന്നു അഴിച്ചു കൊണ്ടുപോയി വെള്ളം കുടിപ്പിക്കുന്നില്ലയോ? എന്നാല് സാത്താന് പതിനെട്ടു സംവത്സരമായി ബന്ധിച്ചിരുന്ന അബ്രാഹാമിന്റെ മകളായ ഇവളെ ശബ്ബത്തുനാളില് ഈ ബന്ധനം അഴിച്ചു വിടേണ്ടതല്ലയോ എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

14. (And) The ruler of the synagogue answered with indignation (because that Jesus had healed on the Sabbath day) And said unto the people: There are six days in the week, in which men ought to work, in them come and be healed, and not on the Sabbath day.

15. അവന് ഇതു പറഞ്ഞപ്പോള് അവന്റെ വിരോധികള് എല്ലാവരും നാണിച്ചു; അവനാല് നടക്കുന്ന സകല മഹിമകളാലും പുരുഷാരം ഒക്കെയും സന്തോഷിച്ചു.

15. Then answered him the Lord and said: Hypocrite, doth not each one of you on the Sabbath day, loose his ox, or his ass, from the stall, and lead him to the water?

16. പിന്നെ അവന് പറഞ്ഞതുദൈവരാജ്യം ഏതിനോടു സദൃശം? ഏതിനോടു അതിനെ ഉപമിക്കേണ്ടു?

16. And ought not this daughter of Abraham, be loosed from this bond on the Sabbath day, whom Sathan hath bound lo, eighteen years?

17. ഒരു മനുഷ്യന് എടുത്തു തന്റെ തോട്ടത്തില് ഇട്ട കടുകുമണിയോടു അതു സദൃശം; അതു വളര്ന്നു വൃക്ഷമായി, ആകാശത്തിലെ പക്ഷികളും വന്നു അതിന്റെ കൊമ്പുകളില് വസിച്ചു.

17. And when he thus said, all his adversaries were ashamed, and all the people rejoiced on all the excellent deeds, that were done by him.

18. പിന്നെയും അവന് ദൈവരാജ്യത്തെ ഏതിനോടു ഉപമിക്കേണ്ടു? അതു പുളിച്ചമാവിനോടു തുല്ല്യം;

18. Then said he: What is the kingdom of God like? or whereto shall I compare it?

19. അതു ഒരു സ്ത്രീ എടുത്തു മൂന്നുപറ മാവില് ചേര്ത്തു എല്ലാം പുളിച്ചുവരുവോളം അടക്കിവെച്ചു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

19. It is like a grain of mustard seed, which a man took and sowed in his garden: and it grew, and waxed a great tree, and the fowls of the air built(made nests) in(dwelt among) the branches of it.

20. അവന് പട്ടണംതോറും ഗ്രാമംതോറും സഞ്ചരിച്ചു യെരൂശലേമിലേക്കു യാത്ര ചെയ്തു.

20. And again he said: whereunto shall I liken the kingdom of God?

21. അപ്പോള് ഒരുത്തന് അവനോടുകര്ത്താവേ, രക്ഷിക്കപ്പെടുന്നവര് ചുരുക്കമോ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചതിന്നു അവനോടു പറഞ്ഞതു

21. It is like leaven, which a woman took, and hid in three bushels(mixed it among three pecks) of flour, till all was thorow leavened.

22. ഇടുക്കുവാതിലൂടെ കടപ്പാന് പോരാടുവിന് . പലരും കടപ്പാന് നോക്കും കഴികയില്ലതാനും എന്നു ഞാന് നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു.

22. And he went thorow (all manner of) cities and towns teaching, and took his journey(journeying) towards Jerusalem.

23. വീട്ടുടയവന് എഴുന്നേറ്റു കതകു അടെച്ചശേഷം നിങ്ങള് പുറത്തുനിന്നുകര്ത്താവേ, തുറന്നു തരേണമേ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞതുകൊണ്ടു കതകിന്നു മുട്ടിത്തുടങ്ങുമ്പോള്നിങ്ങള് എവിടെ നിന്നു എന്നു ഞാന് അറിയുന്നില്ല, എന്നു അവന് ഉത്തരം പറയും.

23. Then said one unto him: Lord, are there few that shall be saved? And he said unto them:

24. അന്നേരം നിങ്ങള്നിന്റെ മുമ്പില് ഞങ്ങള് തിന്നുകയും കുടിക്കയും ഞങ്ങളുടെ തെരുക്കളില് നീ പഠിക്കയും ചെയ്തുവല്ലൊ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞുതുടങ്ങും.

24. strive with your selves to enter in at the strait gate: For many I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.

25. അവനോനിങ്ങള് എവിടെ നിന്നു എന്നു ഞാന് അറിയുന്നില്ല എന്നു ഞാന് നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു; അനീതി പ്രവൃത്തിക്കുന്ന ഏവരുമായുള്ളോരേ, എന്നെ വിട്ടുപോകുവിന് എന്നു പറയും.

25. When the goodman of the house is risen up, and hath shut fast(to) the door, and ye (shall) begin to stand without, and to knock at the door saying: Lord, Lord, open unto us: and he shall answer and say unto you: I know (you) not whence ye are.

26. അവിടെ അബ്രാഹാമും യിസ്ഹാക്കും യാക്കോബും സകല പ്രവാചകന്മാരും ദൈവ രാജ്യത്തില് ഇരിക്കുന്നതും നിങ്ങളെ പുറത്തു തള്ളിക്കളഞ്ഞതും നിങ്ങള് കാണുമ്പോള് കരച്ചലും പല്ലുകടിയും ഉണ്ടാകും.

26. Then shall ye begin to say: We have eaten, and drunk in thy presence, and thou hast taught in our streets.

27. കിഴക്കുനിന്നും പടിഞ്ഞാറുനിന്നും തെക്കുനിന്നും വടക്കുനിന്നും അനേകര് വന്നു ദൈവരാജ്യത്തില് പന്തിയിലിരിക്കും.
സങ്കീർത്തനങ്ങൾ 6:8

27. And he shall say: I tell you, I know you not whence ye are: depart from me all ye workers of iniquity.

28. മുമ്പന്മാരായ്തീരുന്ന പിമ്പന്മാരുണ്ടു, പിമ്പന്മാരായ്തീരുന്ന മുമ്പന്മാരും ഉണ്ടു.

28. There shall be weeping, and gnashing of teeth: when ye shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets in the kingdom of God, and yourselves thrust out a doors.

29. ആ നാഴികയില് തന്നേ ചില പരീശന്മാര് അടുത്തുവന്നുഇവിടം വിട്ടു പൊയ്ക്കാള്ക ഹെരോദാവു നിന്നെ കൊല്ലുവാന് ഇച്ഛിക്കുന്നു എന്നു അവനോടു പറഞ്ഞു.

29. And they shall come from the east, and from the west, and from the north, and from the south, and shall rest(sit down) in the kingdom of God.

30. അവന് അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞതുനിങ്ങള് പോയി ആ കുറുക്കനോടുഞാന് ഇന്നും നാളെയും ഭൂതങ്ങളെ പുറത്താക്കുകയും രോഗശാന്തി വരുത്തുകയും മൂന്നാം നാളില് സമാപിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യും.

30. And behold, there are last, which shall be first: And there are first which shall be last.

31. എങ്കിലും ഇന്നും നാളെയും മറ്റെന്നാളും ഞാന് സഞ്ചരിക്കേണ്ടതാകുന്നു; യെരൂശലേമിന്നു പുറത്തുവെച്ചു ഒരു പ്രവാചകന് നശിച്ചുപോകുന്നതു അസംഭവ്യമല്ലോ എന്നു പറവിന് .

31. The same day there came certain of the pharisees, and said unto him: Get thee out of the way, and depart hence: for Herod will kill thee.

32. യെരൂശലേമേ, യെരൂശലേമേ, പ്രവാചകന്മാരെ കൊല്ലുകയും നിന്റെ അടുക്കല് അയച്ചിരിക്കുന്നവരെ കല്ലെറികയും ചെയ്യുന്നവളേ, കോഴി തന്റെ കുഞ്ഞുങ്ങളെ ചിറകിന് കീഴില് ചേര്ക്കുംപോലെ നിന്റെ മക്കളെ എത്രവട്ടം ചേര്ത്തുകൊള്വാന് എനിക്കു മനസ്സായിരുന്നു; നിങ്ങള്ക്കോ മനസ്സായില്ല.

32. And he said unto them: Go ye and tell that fox, behold I cast out devils, and heal the people to day and tomorrow, and the third day I make an end.

33. നിങ്ങളുടെ ഭവനം ശൂന്യമായ്ത്തീരും; കര്ത്താവിന്റെ നാമത്തില് വരുന്നവന് അനുഗ്രഹിക്കപ്പെട്ടവന് എന്നു നിങ്ങള് പറയുവോളം നിങ്ങള് എന്നെ കാണുകയില്ല എന്നു ഞാന് നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു.

33. Nevertheless, I must walk today and tomorrow, and the day following: For it cannot be, that a prophet perish any other where, save at Jerusalem.
