1. ആ സമയത്തു തന്നേ അവിടെ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്ന ചിലര് പീലാത്തൊസ് ചില ഗലീലക്കാരുടെ ചോര അവരുടെ യാഗങ്ങളോടു കലര്ത്തിയ വര്ത്തമാനം അവനോടു അറിയിച്ചു.

1. Now some people who were there at that time, gave him an account of how the blood of some Galilaeans had been mixed by Pilate with their offerings.

2. അതിന്നു അവന് ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞതുആ ഗലീലക്കാര് ഇതു അനുഭവിക്കായാല് എല്ലാ ഗലീലക്കാരിലും പാപികള് ആയിരുന്നു എന്നു നിങ്ങള്ക്കു തോന്നുന്നുവോ? അല്ലല്ല, മാനസാന്തരപ്പെടാഞ്ഞാന് നിങ്ങള് എല്ലാവരും അങ്ങനെതന്നേ നശിച്ചുപോകും എന്നു ഞാന് നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു.

2. And he, in answer, said to them, Are you of the opinion that these Galilaeans were worse than all other Galilaeans, because these things were done to them?

3. I say to you, It is not so: but if your hearts are not changed, you will all come to the same end.

4. അല്ലല്ല, മാനസാന്തരപ്പെടാഞ്ഞാല് നിങ്ങള് എല്ലാവരും അങ്ങനെ തന്നേ നശിച്ചുപോകും എന്നു ഞാന് നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു.

4. Or those eighteen men who were crushed by the fall of the tower of Siloam, were they worse than all the other men living in Jerusalem?

6. And he made up this story for them: A certain man had a fig-tree in his garden, and he came to get fruit from it, and there was no fruit.

7. And he said to the gardener, See, for three years I have been looking for fruit from this tree, and I have not had any: let it be cut down; why is it taking up space?

8. മേലാല് കായിച്ചെങ്കിലോ - ഇല്ലെങ്കില് വെട്ടിക്കളയാം എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

8. And he said, Lord, let it be for this year, and I will have the earth turned up round it, and put animal waste on it, to make it fertile:

9. ഒരു ശബ്ബത്തില് അവന് ഒരു പള്ളിയില് ഉപദേശിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നു;

9. And if, after that, it has fruit, it is well; if not, let it be cut down.

10. അവിടെ പതിനെട്ടു സംവത്സരമായി ഒരു രോഗാത്മാവു ബാധിച്ചിട്ടു ഒട്ടും നിവിരുവാന് കഴിയാതെ കൂനിയായോരു സ്ത്രീ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

10. And he was teaching in one of the Synagogues on the Sabbath.

11. യേശു അവളെ കണ്ടു അടുക്കെ വിളിച്ചുസ്ത്രിയേ, നിന്റെ രോഗബന്ധനം അഴിഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു അവളുടെ മേല് കൈവെച്ചു.

11. And there was a woman who had had a disease for eighteen years; she was bent, and was not able to make herself straight.

12. അവള് ക്ഷണത്തില് നിവിര്ന്നു ദൈവത്തെ മഹത്വപ്പെടുത്തി.

12. And when Jesus saw her, he said to her, Woman, you are made free from your disease.

13. യേശു ശബ്ബത്തില് സൌഖ്യമാക്കിയതു കൊണ്ടു പള്ളി പ്രമാണി നീരസപ്പെട്ടു പുരുഷാരത്തോടുവേല ചെയ്വാന് ആറുദിവസമുണ്ടല്ലോ; അതിന്നകം വന്നു സൌഖ്യം വരുത്തിച്ചുകൊള്വിന് ; ശബ്ബത്തില് അരുതു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

13. And he put his hands on her, and she was made straight, and gave praise to God.

14. കര്ത്താവു അവനോടുകപടഭക്തിക്കാരേ, നിങ്ങളില് ഔരോരുത്തന് ശബ്ബത്തില് തന്റെ കാളയെയോ കഴുതയെയോ തൊട്ടിയില് നിന്നു അഴിച്ചു കൊണ്ടുപോയി വെള്ളം കുടിപ്പിക്കുന്നില്ലയോ? എന്നാല് സാത്താന് പതിനെട്ടു സംവത്സരമായി ബന്ധിച്ചിരുന്ന അബ്രാഹാമിന്റെ മകളായ ഇവളെ ശബ്ബത്തുനാളില് ഈ ബന്ധനം അഴിച്ചു വിടേണ്ടതല്ലയോ എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

14. And the ruler of the Synagogue was angry because Jesus had made her well on the Sabbath, and he said to the people, There are six days in which men may do work: so come on those days to be made well, and not on the Sabbath.

15. അവന് ഇതു പറഞ്ഞപ്പോള് അവന്റെ വിരോധികള് എല്ലാവരും നാണിച്ചു; അവനാല് നടക്കുന്ന സകല മഹിമകളാലും പുരുഷാരം ഒക്കെയും സന്തോഷിച്ചു.

15. But the Lord gave him an answer and said, O you false men! do you not, every one of you, on the Sabbath, let loose his ox and his ass and take it to the water?

16. പിന്നെ അവന് പറഞ്ഞതുദൈവരാജ്യം ഏതിനോടു സദൃശം? ഏതിനോടു അതിനെ ഉപമിക്കേണ്ടു?

16. And is it not right for this daughter of Abraham, who has been in the power of Satan for eighteen years, to be made free on the Sabbath?

17. ഒരു മനുഷ്യന് എടുത്തു തന്റെ തോട്ടത്തില് ഇട്ട കടുകുമണിയോടു അതു സദൃശം; അതു വളര്ന്നു വൃക്ഷമായി, ആകാശത്തിലെ പക്ഷികളും വന്നു അതിന്റെ കൊമ്പുകളില് വസിച്ചു.

17. And when he said these things, those who were against him were shamed, and all the people were full of joy because of the great things which were done by him.

18. പിന്നെയും അവന് ദൈവരാജ്യത്തെ ഏതിനോടു ഉപമിക്കേണ്ടു? അതു പുളിച്ചമാവിനോടു തുല്ല്യം;

18. Then he said, What is the kingdom of God like? what comparison may I make of it?

19. അതു ഒരു സ്ത്രീ എടുത്തു മൂന്നുപറ മാവില് ചേര്ത്തു എല്ലാം പുളിച്ചുവരുവോളം അടക്കിവെച്ചു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

19. It is like a grain of mustard seed which a man took and put in his garden, and it became a tree, and the birds of heaven made their resting-places in its branches.

20. അവന് പട്ടണംതോറും ഗ്രാമംതോറും സഞ്ചരിച്ചു യെരൂശലേമിലേക്കു യാത്ര ചെയ്തു.

20. And again he said, What is the kingdom of God like?

21. അപ്പോള് ഒരുത്തന് അവനോടുകര്ത്താവേ, രക്ഷിക്കപ്പെടുന്നവര് ചുരുക്കമോ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചതിന്നു അവനോടു പറഞ്ഞതു

21. It is like leaven, which a woman put into three measures of meal, and it was all leavened.

22. ഇടുക്കുവാതിലൂടെ കടപ്പാന് പോരാടുവിന് . പലരും കടപ്പാന് നോക്കും കഴികയില്ലതാനും എന്നു ഞാന് നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു.

22. And he went on his way, through towns and country places, teaching and journeying to Jerusalem.

23. വീട്ടുടയവന് എഴുന്നേറ്റു കതകു അടെച്ചശേഷം നിങ്ങള് പുറത്തുനിന്നുകര്ത്താവേ, തുറന്നു തരേണമേ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞതുകൊണ്ടു കതകിന്നു മുട്ടിത്തുടങ്ങുമ്പോള്നിങ്ങള് എവിടെ നിന്നു എന്നു ഞാന് അറിയുന്നില്ല, എന്നു അവന് ഉത്തരം പറയും.

23. And someone said to him, Lord, will only a small number have salvation? And he said to them,

24. അന്നേരം നിങ്ങള്നിന്റെ മുമ്പില് ഞങ്ങള് തിന്നുകയും കുടിക്കയും ഞങ്ങളുടെ തെരുക്കളില് നീ പഠിക്കയും ചെയ്തുവല്ലൊ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞുതുടങ്ങും.

24. Do your best to go in by the narrow door, for I say to you, A number will make the attempt to go in, but will not be able to do so.

25. അവനോനിങ്ങള് എവിടെ നിന്നു എന്നു ഞാന് അറിയുന്നില്ല എന്നു ഞാന് നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു; അനീതി പ്രവൃത്തിക്കുന്ന ഏവരുമായുള്ളോരേ, എന്നെ വിട്ടുപോകുവിന് എന്നു പറയും.

25. When the master of the house has got up, and the door has been shut, and you, still outside, give blows on the door, saying, Lord, let us in; he will make answer and say, I have no knowledge of where you come from.

26. അവിടെ അബ്രാഹാമും യിസ്ഹാക്കും യാക്കോബും സകല പ്രവാചകന്മാരും ദൈവ രാജ്യത്തില് ഇരിക്കുന്നതും നിങ്ങളെ പുറത്തു തള്ളിക്കളഞ്ഞതും നിങ്ങള് കാണുമ്പോള് കരച്ചലും പല്ലുകടിയും ഉണ്ടാകും.

26. Then you will say, We have taken food and drink with you, and you were teaching in our streets.

27. കിഴക്കുനിന്നും പടിഞ്ഞാറുനിന്നും തെക്കുനിന്നും വടക്കുനിന്നും അനേകര് വന്നു ദൈവരാജ്യത്തില് പന്തിയിലിരിക്കും.
സങ്കീർത്തനങ്ങൾ 6:8

27. But he will say, Truly, I have no knowledge of you or where you come from; go away from me, you workers of evil.

28. മുമ്പന്മാരായ്തീരുന്ന പിമ്പന്മാരുണ്ടു, പിമ്പന്മാരായ്തീരുന്ന മുമ്പന്മാരും ഉണ്ടു.

28. There will be weeping and cries of sorrow when you see Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, but you yourselves are shut outside.

29. ആ നാഴികയില് തന്നേ ചില പരീശന്മാര് അടുത്തുവന്നുഇവിടം വിട്ടു പൊയ്ക്കാള്ക ഹെരോദാവു നിന്നെ കൊല്ലുവാന് ഇച്ഛിക്കുന്നു എന്നു അവനോടു പറഞ്ഞു.

29. And they will come from the east and from the west, from the north and from the south, and take their places in the kingdom of God.

30. അവന് അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞതുനിങ്ങള് പോയി ആ കുറുക്കനോടുഞാന് ഇന്നും നാളെയും ഭൂതങ്ങളെ പുറത്താക്കുകയും രോഗശാന്തി വരുത്തുകയും മൂന്നാം നാളില് സമാപിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യും.

30. And the last will be first, and the first will be last.

31. എങ്കിലും ഇന്നും നാളെയും മറ്റെന്നാളും ഞാന് സഞ്ചരിക്കേണ്ടതാകുന്നു; യെരൂശലേമിന്നു പുറത്തുവെച്ചു ഒരു പ്രവാചകന് നശിച്ചുപോകുന്നതു അസംഭവ്യമല്ലോ എന്നു പറവിന് .

31. At that time, certain Pharisees came to him and said, Go away from this place, because Herod's purpose is to put you to death.

32. യെരൂശലേമേ, യെരൂശലേമേ, പ്രവാചകന്മാരെ കൊല്ലുകയും നിന്റെ അടുക്കല് അയച്ചിരിക്കുന്നവരെ കല്ലെറികയും ചെയ്യുന്നവളേ, കോഴി തന്റെ കുഞ്ഞുങ്ങളെ ചിറകിന് കീഴില് ചേര്ക്കുംപോലെ നിന്റെ മക്കളെ എത്രവട്ടം ചേര്ത്തുകൊള്വാന് എനിക്കു മനസ്സായിരുന്നു; നിങ്ങള്ക്കോ മനസ്സായില്ല.

32. And he said, Go and say to that fox, I send out evil spirits and do works of mercy today and tomorrow, and on the third day my work will be complete.

33. നിങ്ങളുടെ ഭവനം ശൂന്യമായ്ത്തീരും; കര്ത്താവിന്റെ നാമത്തില് വരുന്നവന് അനുഗ്രഹിക്കപ്പെട്ടവന് എന്നു നിങ്ങള് പറയുവോളം നിങ്ങള് എന്നെ കാണുകയില്ല എന്നു ഞാന് നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു.

33. But I have to go on my way today and tomorrow and the third day, for it is not right for a prophet to come to his death outside Jerusalem.
