1. ദൈവം തന്റെ പുത്രനും നമ്മുടെ കര്ത്താവുമായ യേശു ക്രിസ്തുവിനെക്കുറിച്ചു

1. Paul the servant of Jesus Christ, called unto the office of(to be) an apostle, put apart to preach the Gospell of God,

2. വിശുദ്ധരേഖകളില് തന്റെ പ്രവാചകന്മാര് മുഖാന്തരം മുമ്പുകൂട്ടി വാഗ്ദത്തം ചെയ്ത സുവിശേഷത്തിന്നായി വേര്തിരിച്ചു വിളിക്കപ്പെട്ട അപ്പൊസ്തലനും യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ ദാസനുമായ പൌലൊസ്

2. which he promised afore by his prophets, in the holy scriptures

3. റോമയില് ദൈവത്തിന്നു പ്രയരും വിളിക്കപ്പെട്ട വിശുദ്ധന്മാരുമായ എല്ലാവര്ക്കും എഴുതുന്നതു

3. that make mention of his son, the which was begotten (unto him) of the seed of David, as pertaining to the flesh:

4. നമ്മുടെ പിതാവായ ദൈവത്തിങ്കല് നിന്നും കര്ത്താവായ യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിന്നും നിങ്ങള്ക്കു കൃപയും സമാധാനവും ഉണ്ടാകട്ടെ.

4. and declared to be the son of God with power of the holy ghost, that sanctifieth, since the time that Jesus Christ our Lord rose again from death,

5. ജഡം സംബന്ധിച്ചു ദാവീദിന്റെ സന്തതിയില്നിന്നു ജനിക്കയും മരിച്ചിട്ടു ഉയിര്ത്തെഴുന്നേല്ക്കയാല് വിശുദ്ധിയുടെ ആത്മാവു സംബന്ധിച്ചു ദൈവ പുത്രന് എന്നു ശക്തിയോടെ നിര്ണ്ണയിക്കപ്പെടുകയും ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നവനാലല്ലോ ഞങ്ങള്

5. by whom we have received grace and apostleship, that all gentiles should obey to the faith which is in his name,(to bring all manner heathen people unto obedience of the faith, that is in his name:)

6. അവന്റെ നാമത്തിന്നായി സകലജാതികളുടെയും ഇടയില് വിശ്വാസത്തിന്നു അനുസരണം വരുത്തേണ്ടതിന്നു കൃപയും അപ്പൊസ്തലത്വവും പ്രാപിച്ചതു.

6. of the which number are ye(of the which heathen are ye a part) also, which are Jesus Christ's(Iesus christes) by vocation.

7. അവരില് യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിന്നായി വിളിക്കപ്പെട്ട നിങ്ങളും ഉള്പ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.

7. To all you of Rome beloved of God, and saints by calling. Grace be with you and peace from God our father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.

8. നിങ്ങളുടെ വിശ്വാസം സര്വ്വലോകത്തിലും പ്രസിദ്ധമായിരിക്കുന്നതിനാല് ഞാന് ആദ്യം തന്നേ എന്റെ ദൈവത്തിന്നു യേശുക്രിസ്തുമുഖാന്തരം നിങ്ങള്ക്കെല്ലാവര്ക്കും വേണ്ടി സ്തോത്രം ചെയ്യുന്നു.

8. First verily I thank my God thorow Jesus Christ for you all, because your faith is published(spoken of) throughout all the world.

9. ഞാന് ഇടവിടാതെ നിങ്ങളെ ഔര്ത്തുകൊണ്ടു ദൈവേഷ്ടത്താല് എപ്പോള് എങ്കിലും നിങ്ങളുടെ അടുക്കല് വരുവാന് സാധിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു എന്റെ പ്രാര്ത്ഥനയില് എപ്പോഴും യാചിക്കുന്നു

9. For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit, in the Gospell of his son that without ceasing I make mention of you always in my prayers,

10. എന്നുള്ളതിന്നു അവന്റെ പുത്രനെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള സുവിശേഷഘോഷണത്തില് ഞാന് എന്റെ ആത്മാവില് ആരാധിക്കുന്ന ദൈവം എനിക്കു സാക്ഷി.

10. beseeching that at one time or another, a prosperous journey (by the will of God) might fortune me to come unto you.

11. നിങ്ങളുടെ സ്ഥിരീകരണത്തിന്നായി ആത്മികവരം വല്ലതും നിങ്ങള്ക്കു നല്കേണ്ടതിന്നു,

11. For I long to see you, that I might bestow among you some spiritual gift, to strengthen you withal

12. അതായതു നിങ്ങള്ക്കും എനിക്കും ഒത്തൊരുമിച്ചുള്ള വിശ്വാസത്താല് നിങ്ങളോടുകൂടെ എനിക്കും ആശ്വാസം ലഭിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഞാന് നിങ്ങളെ കാണ്മാന് വാഞ്ഛിക്കുന്നു.

12. (that is) that I might have consolation together(be conforted) with you, through the common faith, which both ye and I have.

13. എന്നാല് സഹോദരന്മാരേ, എനിക്കു ശേഷം ജാതികളില് എന്നപോലെ നിങ്ങളിലും വല്ല ഫലവും ഉണ്ടാകേണ്ടതിന്നു നിങ്ങളുടെ അടുക്കല് വരുവാന് പലപ്പോഴും ഭാവിച്ചു എങ്കിലും ഇതുവരെ മുടക്കം വന്നു എന്നു നിങ്ങള് അറിയാതിരിക്കരുതു എന്നു ഞാന് ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നു.

13. I would that ye should know, brethren, how that I have oftentimes purposed to come unto you (but have been let hitherto) to have some fruit among you, as I have among other of the gentiles.

14. യവനന്മാര്ക്കും ബര്ബരന്മാര്ക്കും ജ്ഞാനികള്ക്കും ബുദ്ധിഹീനര്ക്കും ഞാന് കടക്കാരന് ആകുന്നു.

14. For I am debtor both to the greeks, and to them which are no greeks, unto the learned and also unto the unlearned.(unwise)

15. അങ്ങനെ റോമയിലുള്ള നിങ്ങളോടും സുവിശേഷം അറിയിപ്പാന് എന്നാല് ആവോളം ഞാന് ഒരുങ്ങിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

15. Likewise, as much as in me is, I am ready to preach the Gospell to you of Rome also.

16. സുവിശേഷത്തെക്കുറിച്ചു എനിക്കു ലജ്ജയില്ല; വിശ്വസിക്കുന്ന ഏവന്നും ആദ്യം യെഹൂദന്നും പിന്നെ യവനവന്നും അതു രക്ഷെക്കായി ദൈവശക്തിയാകുന്നുവല്ലോ.

16. For I am not ashamed of the Gospell of Christ, because it is the power of God unto salvation to(which saveth) all that believe, namely to the jew, and also to the gentile.

17. അതില് ദൈവത്തിന്റെ നീതി വിശ്വാസം ഹേതുവായും വിശ്വാസത്തിന്നായിക്കൊണ്ടും വെളിപ്പെടുന്നു. “നീതിമാന് വിശ്വാസത്താല് ജീവിക്കും” എന്നു എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.

17. For by it the righteousness which cometh of(that is of value before) God is opened, from faith to faith. As it is written: The just shall live by faith.(The just shall live by his faith)

18. അനീതികൊണ്ടു സത്യത്തെ തടുക്കുന്ന മനുഷ്യരുടെ സകല അഭക്തിക്കും അനീതിക്കും നേരെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ കോപം സ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തില് നിന്നു വെളിപ്പെടുന്നു.

18. For the wrath of God of heaven appeareth(wrath of God appeareth from heaven) against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men which withhold the truth(truth of God) in unrighteousness,

19. ദൈവത്തെക്കുറിച്ചു അറിയാകുന്നതു അവര്ക്കും വെളിവായിരിക്കുന്നു;

19. seeing that that, which(what) may be known of God, (that same) is manifest among them. For God did shew it unto them.

20. ദൈവം അവര്ക്കും വെളിവാക്കിയല്ലോ. അവന്റെ നിത്യശക്തിയും ദിവ്യത്വവുമായി അവന്റെ അദൃശ്യലക്ഷണങ്ങള് ലോകസൃഷ്ടിമുതല് അവന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തികളാല് ബുദ്ധിക്കു തെളിവായി വെളിപ്പെട്ടുവരുന്നു; അവര്ക്കും പ്രതിവാദമില്ലാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു തന്നേ.

20. For(So that) his invisible things (that is to say, his eternal power and godhead) are understood and seen, by the works from the creation of the world. So that they are without excuse,

21. അവര് ദൈവത്തെ അറിഞ്ഞിട്ടും അവനെ ദൈവമെന്നു ഔര്ത്തു മഹത്വീകരിക്കയോ നന്ദി കാണിക്കയോ ചെയ്യാതെ തങ്ങളുടെ നിരൂപണങ്ങളില് വ്യര്ത്ഥരായിത്തീര്ന്നു, അവരുടെ വിവേകമില്ലാത്ത ഹൃദയം ഇരുണ്ടുപോയി.

21. inasmuch as when they knew God, they glorified(praised) him not as God, neither were thankful, but waxed full of vanities in their imaginations. And their foolish hearts were blinded.

22. ജ്ഞാനികള് എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു കൊണ്ടു അവര് മൂഢരായിപ്പോയി;

22. When they counted themselves wise, they became fools

23. അക്ഷയനായ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ തേജസ്സിനെ അവര് ക്ഷയമുള്ള മനുഷ്യന് , പക്ഷി, നാല്ക്കാലി, ഇഴജാതി എന്നിവയുടെ രൂപ സാദൃശ്യമായി മാറ്റിക്കളഞ്ഞു.

23. and turned the glory of the immortal God, unto the similitude of the image of mortal man, and of birds, and four footed beasts and (of) serpents.

24. അതുകൊണ്ടു ദൈവം അവരെ തങ്ങളുടെ ഹൃദയങ്ങളിലെ മോഹങ്ങളില് സ്വന്തശരീരങ്ങളെ തമ്മില് തമ്മില് അവമാനിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അശുദ്ധിയില് ഏല്പിച്ചു.

24. For this cause(Wherefore) God (like wise) gave them up unto their hearts' lusts, unto uncleanness to defile their own bodies between themselves:

25. ദൈവത്തിന്റെ സത്യം അവര് വ്യാജമാക്കി മാറ്റിക്കളഞ്ഞു, സൃഷ്ടിച്ചവനെക്കാള് സൃഷ്ടിയെ ഭജിച്ചു ആരാധിച്ചു; അവന് എന്നേക്കും വാഴ്ത്തപ്പെട്ടവന് , ആമേന് .

25. which turned his truth unto a lie, and worshipped and served the creatures more than the maker, which is blessed forever Amen.

26. അതുകൊണ്ടു ദൈവം അവരെ അവമാനരാഗങ്ങളില് ഏല്പിച്ചു; അവരുടെ സ്ത്രീകള് സ്വാഭാവികഭോഗത്തെ സ്വഭാവവിരുദ്ധമാക്കിക്കളഞ്ഞു.

26. For this cause God gave them up unto shameful lusts. For even their women did change the natural use unto the unnatural.

27. അവ്വണ്ണം പുരുഷന്മാരും സ്വാഭാവികസ്ത്രീഭോഗം വിട്ടു അന്യോന്യം കാമം ജ്വലിച്ചു ആണോടു ആണ് അവലക്ഷണമായതു പ്രവര്ത്തിച്ചു. ഇങ്ങനെ അവര് തങ്ങളുടെ വിഭ്രമത്തിന്നു യോഗ്യമായ പ്രതിഫലം തങ്ങളില് തന്നേ പ്രാപിച്ചു.

27. And likewise also the men left the natural use of the woman, and brent in (their) lust(lusts) one on another among themselves. And man with man wrought filthiness, and received in themselves the reward of their error as it was according.

28. ദൈവത്തെ പരിജ്ഞാനത്തില് ധരിപ്പാന് ഇഷ്ടമില്ലാഞ്ഞതിന്നു തക്കവണ്ണം ദൈവം അവരെ ഉചിതമല്ലാത്തതു ചെയ്വാന് നികൃഷ്ടബുദ്ധിയില് ഏല്പിച്ചു.

28. And as it seemed not good unto them to be aknown of(they regarded not to know) God, even so God delivered them up unto a lewd mind, that they should do those things which were not comely,

29. അവര് സകല അനീതിയും ദുഷ്ടതയും അത്യാഗ്രഹവും ദുര്ബ്ബുദ്ധിയും നിറഞ്ഞവര്; അസൂയ, കുല, പിണക്കം, കപടം, ദുശ്ശീലം എന്നിവ തിങ്ങിയവര്,

29. being full of all unrighteous doing, of fornication,(whoredom) wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness, full of envy, murder, debate,(strife) deceit, evil conditioned whisperers,

30. കുരളക്കാര്, ഏഷണിക്കാര്, ദൈവദ്വേഷികള്, നിഷ്ഠൂരന്മാര്, ഗര്വ്വിഷ്ഠന്മാര്, ആത്മപ്രശംസക്കാര്, പുതുദോഷം സങ്കല്പിക്കുന്നവര്, മാതാപിതാക്കന്മാരെ അനുസരിക്കാത്തവര്,

30. backbiters, haters(despisers) of God, doers of wrong, proud, boasters,(bosters) bringers up of evil things, disobedient to fathers and mothers,(their elders)

31. ബുദ്ധി ഹീനര്, നിയമലംഘികള്, വാത്സല്യമില്ലാത്തവര്, കനിവറ്റവര്

31. without understanding, covenant breakers, unloving, stubborn(truce breakers) and merciless.(unmercifull)

32. ഈ വക പ്രവൃത്തിക്കുന്നവര് മരണയോഗ്യര് എന്നുള്ള ദൈവന്യായം അവര് അറിഞ്ഞിട്ടും അവയെ പ്രവര്ത്തിക്ക മാത്രമല്ല പ്രവര്ത്തിക്കുന്നവരില് പ്രസാദിക്കയുംകൂടെ ചെയ്യുന്നു.

32. Which men, though they knew the righteousness of God, (considered not) how that they which such things commit are worthy of death, yet not only (they that) do the same, but also (they which) had(have) pleasure in them that did(do) them.
