1. അതുകൊണ്ടു വിധിക്കുന്ന ഏതു മനുഷ്യനുമായുള്ളോവേ, നിനക്കു പ്രതിവാദം പറവാന് ഇല്ല; അന്യനെ വിധിക്കുന്നതില് നീ നിന്നെത്തന്നെ കുറ്റം വിധിക്കുന്നു; വിധിക്കുന്ന നീ അതു തന്നേ പ്രവര്ത്തിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.

1. Therefore, O man, thou are without excuse, every man who judges, for in what thou judge the other man, thou condemn thyself, for the man who judges is doing the same things.

2. എന്നാല് ആവക പ്രവര്ത്തിക്കുന്നവരുടെ നേരെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ വിധി സത്യാനുസരണയായിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു നാം അറിയുന്നു.

2. And we know that the judgment of God is in accordance with truth against those who commit such things.

3. ആവക പ്രവര്ത്തിക്കുന്നവരെ വിധിക്കയും അതു തന്നേ പ്രവര്ത്തിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്ന മനുഷ്യ, നീ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ വിധിയില്നിന്നു തെറ്റി ഒഴിയും എന്നു നിനെക്കുന്നുവോ?

3. And think thou this, O man who judge those who do such things and do the same, that thou will escape the judgment of God?

4. അല്ല, ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ദയ നിന്നെ മാനസാന്തരത്തിലേക്കു നടത്തുന്നു എന്നു അറിയാതെ നീ അവന്റെ ദയ, ക്ഷമ, ദീര്ഘക്ഷാന്തി എന്നിവയുടെ ഐശ്വര്യം നിരസിക്കുന്നുവോ?

4. Or do thou despise the wealth of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering, not knowing that the goodness of God guides thee to repentance?

5. എന്നാല് നിന്റെ കാഠിന്യത്താലും അനുതാപമില്ലാത്ത ഹൃദയത്താലും നീ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ നീതിയുള്ള വിധി വെളിപ്പെടുന്ന കോപദിവസത്തേക്കു നിനക്കു തന്നേ കോപം ചരതിച്ചുവെക്കുന്നു.

5. But according to thy hardness, and thy impenitent heart, thou store up wrath to thyself in the day of wrath, and revelation, and righteous judgment of God,

6. അവന് ഔരോരുത്തന്നു അവനവന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തിക്കു തക്ക പകരം ചെയ്യും.

6. who will render to each man according to his works,

7. നല്ല പ്രവൃത്തിക്കു വേണ്ടുന്ന സ്ഥിരത പൂണ്ടു തേജസ്സും മാനവും അക്ഷയതയും അന്വേഷിക്കുന്നവര്ക്കും

7. to those who indeed seek by perseverance of good work, glory and esteem and immortality--eternal life--

8. നിത്യജീവനും, ശാഠ്യം പൂണ്ടു സത്യം അനുസരിക്കാതെ അനീതി അനുസരിക്കുന്നവര്ക്കും കോപവും ക്രോധവും കൊടുക്കും.

8. but to those of self-interest, and who indeed disobey the truth but have confidence in unrighteousness--anger and wrath,

9. തിന്മ പ്രവര്ത്തിക്കുന്ന ഏതു മനുഷ്യാത്മാവിന്നും കഷ്ടവും സങ്കടവും ആദ്യം യെഹൂദന്നും പിന്നെ യവനന്നും വരും.

9. pressure and restriction, upon every soul of man who produces evil, both of the Jew first, and of the Greek,

10. നന്മ പ്രവര്ത്തിക്കുന്ന ഏവന്നു മഹത്വവും മാനവും സമാധാനവും ആദ്യം യെഹൂദന്നും പിന്നെ യവനന്നും ലഭിക്കും.

10. but glory and esteem and peace to every man who works good, both to the Jew first, and to the Greek.

11. ദൈവത്തിന്റെ പക്കല് മുഖപക്ഷം ഇല്ലല്ലോ.

11. For there is no partiality with God.

12. ന്യായപ്രമാണം ഇല്ലാതെ പാപം ചെയ്തവര് ഒക്കെയും ന്യായപ്രമാണം കൂടാതെ നശിച്ചുപോകും; ന്യായപ്രമാണം ഉണ്ടായിട്ടു പാപം ചെയ്തവര് ഒക്കെയും ന്യായപ്രമാണത്താല് വിധിക്കപ്പെടും.

12. For as many as have sinned without law will also be destroyed without law, and as many as have sinned in law will be judged by law.

13. ന്യായപ്രമാണം കേള്ക്കുന്നവരല്ല ദൈവസന്നിധിയില് നീതിമാന്മാര്; ന്യായപ്രമാണം ആചരിക്കുന്നവരത്രേ നീതികരിക്കപ്പെടുന്നതു.

13. For the hearers of the law are not righteous with God, but the doers of the law will be made righteous.

14. ന്യായപ്രമാണമില്ലാത്ത ജാതികള് ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തിലുള്ളതു സ്വഭാവത്താല് ചെയ്യുമ്പോള് ന്യായപ്രമാണമില്ലാത്ത അവര് തങ്ങള്ക്കു തന്നേ ഒരു ന്യായപ്രമാണം ആകുന്നു.

14. For when the Gentiles who have no law do by nature the things of the law, these men, not having law, are a law to themselves.

15. അവരുടെ മനസ്സാക്ഷിക്കുടെ സാക്ഷ്യം പറഞ്ഞും അവരുടെ വിചാരങ്ങള് തമ്മില് കുറ്റം ചുമത്തുകയോ പ്രതിവാദിക്കയോ ചെയ്തുംകൊണ്ടു അവര് ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തിന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തി തങ്ങളുടെ ഹൃദയത്തില് എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നതായി കാണിക്കുന്നു;

15. Who show the work of the law written in their hearts, testifying of their conscience, and their thoughts amidst each other accusing or also defending them

16. ദൈവം യേശു ക്രിസ്തു മുഖാന്തരം മനുഷ്യരുടെ രഹസ്യങ്ങളെ എന്റെ സുവിശേഷപ്രകാരം ന്യായം വിധിക്കുന്ന നാളില് തന്നേ.

16. in a day when God judges the secrets of men by Jesus Christ, according to my good-news.

17. നീയോ യെഹൂദന് എന്നു പേര് കൊണ്ടും ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തില് ആശ്രയിച്ചും

17. Behold, thou are called a Jew, and rely upon the law, and boast in God,

18. ദൈവത്തില് പ്രശംസിച്ചും ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തില് നിന്നു പഠിക്കയാല് അവന്റെ ഇഷ്ടം അറിഞ്ഞും ഭേദാഭേദങ്ങള് വിവേചിച്ചും

18. and know his will, and approve the things that are significant, being instructed out of the law.

19. ജ്ഞാനത്തിന്റെയും സത്യത്തിന്റെയും സ്വരൂപം ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തില് നിന്നു നിനക്കു ലഭിച്ചതുകൊണ്ടു നീ കുരുടര്ക്കും വഴി കാട്ടുന്നവന് ,

19. And thou have confidence in thyself to be a guide of the blind, a light of those in darkness,

20. ഇരുട്ടിലുള്ളവര്ക്കും വെളിച്ചം, മൂഢരെ പഠിപ്പിക്കുന്നവന് , ശിശുക്കള്ക്കു ഉപദേഷ്ടാവു എന്നു ഉറെച്ചുമിരിക്കുന്നെങ്കില്-

20. a corrector of the foolish, a teacher of the childlike, having in the law the essence of knowledge and truth,

21. ഹേ, അന്യനെ ഉപദേശിക്കുന്നവനേ, നീ നിന്നെത്തന്നെ ഉപദേശിക്കാത്തതു എന്തു? മോഷ്ടിക്കരുതു എന്നു പ്രസംഗിക്കുന്ന നീ മോഷ്ടിക്കുന്നുവോ?
സങ്കീർത്തനങ്ങൾ 50:16-21

21. thou therefore who teach another, do thou not teach thyself? Thou who preach not to steal, do thou steal?

22. വ്യഭിചാരം ചെയ്യരുതു എന്നു പറയുന്ന നീ വ്യഭിചാരം ചെയ്യുന്നുവോ? വിഗ്രഹങ്ങളെ വെറുക്കുന്ന നീ ക്ഷേത്രം കവര്ച്ച ചെയ്യുന്നുവോ?

22. Thou who say not to commit adultery, do thou commit adultery? Thou who abhor idols, do thou rob temples?

23. ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തില് പ്രശംസിക്കുന്ന നീ ന്യായപ്രമാണലംഘനത്താല് ദൈവത്തെ അപമാനിക്കുന്നുവോ?

23. Thou who boast in law, dishonor God by thy transgression of the law.

24. “നിങ്ങള് നിമിത്തം ദൈവത്തിന്റെ നാമം ജാതികളുടെ ഇടയില് ദുഷിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു” എന്നു എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.

24. For the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles because of you, just as it is written.

25. നീ ന്യായപ്രമാണം ആചരിച്ചാല് പരിച്ഛേദന പ്രയോജനമുള്ളതു സത്യം; ന്യായപ്രമാണലംഘിയായാലോ നിന്റെ പരിച്ഛേദന അഗ്രചര്മ്മമായിത്തീര്ന്നു.
യിരേമ്യാവു 4:4, യിരേമ്യാവു 9:25

25. For circumcision is indeed beneficial if thou perform law, but if thou are a transgressor of law, thy circumcision has become uncircumcision.

26. അഗ്രചര്മ്മി ന്യായ പ്രമാണത്തിന്റെ നിയമങ്ങളെ പ്രമാണിച്ചാല് അവന്റെ അഗ്രചര്മ്മം പരിച്ഛേദന എന്നു എണ്ണുകയില്ലയോ?

26. If therefore a man of uncircumcision keeps the ordinances of the law, will not his uncircumcision be considered circumcision?

27. സ്വഭാവത്താല് അഗ്രചര്മ്മിയായവന് ന്യായപ്രമാണം അനുഷ്ഠിക്കുന്നു എങ്കില് അക്ഷരവും പരിച്ഛേദനയുമുള്ള ന്യായപ്രമാണലംഘിയായ നിന്നെ അവന് വിധിക്കയില്ലയോ?

27. And the man of natural uncircumcision who fulfills the law, will judge thee, a transgressor of law through a document and circumcision.

28. പുറമെ യെഹൂദനായവന് യെഹൂദനല്ല; പുറമെ ജഡത്തിലുള്ളതു പരിച്ഛേദനയുമല്ല;

28. For he is not a Jew in what is visible, nor is circumcision in what is visible, in flesh,

29. അകമെ യെഹൂദനായവനത്രേ യെഹൂദന് ; അക്ഷരത്തിലല്ല ആത്മാവിലുള്ള ഹൃദയപരിച്ഛേദനയത്രേ പരിച്ഛേദന; അവന്നു മനുഷ്യരാലല്ല ദൈവത്താല് തന്നേ പുകഴ്ച ലഭിക്കും.

29. but he is a Jew in what is hidden, and circumcision is of the heart, in spirit not a document, whose praise is not from men but from God.
