1. അതുകൊണ്ടു വിധിക്കുന്ന ഏതു മനുഷ്യനുമായുള്ളോവേ, നിനക്കു പ്രതിവാദം പറവാന് ഇല്ല; അന്യനെ വിധിക്കുന്നതില് നീ നിന്നെത്തന്നെ കുറ്റം വിധിക്കുന്നു; വിധിക്കുന്ന നീ അതു തന്നേ പ്രവര്ത്തിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.

1. Wherefore, inexcusable, thou art, O man, whoever judgest; for, wherein thou judgest some one else, thyself, thou dost condemn, for, the very things, thou dost practise, who art judging:

2. എന്നാല് ആവക പ്രവര്ത്തിക്കുന്നവരുടെ നേരെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ വിധി സത്യാനുസരണയായിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു നാം അറിയുന്നു.

2. We know, however, that, the sentence of God, is according to truth against them who, such things as these, do practise.

3. ആവക പ്രവര്ത്തിക്കുന്നവരെ വിധിക്കയും അതു തന്നേ പ്രവര്ത്തിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്ന മനുഷ്യ, നീ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ വിധിയില്നിന്നു തെറ്റി ഒഴിയും എന്നു നിനെക്കുന്നുവോ?

3. And reckonest thou this, O man who dost judge them who such things do practise, and yet art doing the same, that, thou, shalt escape the sentence of God?

4. അല്ല, ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ദയ നിന്നെ മാനസാന്തരത്തിലേക്കു നടത്തുന്നു എന്നു അറിയാതെ നീ അവന്റെ ദയ, ക്ഷമ, ദീര്ഘക്ഷാന്തി എന്നിവയുടെ ഐശ്വര്യം നിരസിക്കുന്നുവോ?

4. Or, the riches of his kindness, and forbearance, and long-suffering, dost thou despise, not knowing that, the kindness of God, unto repentance, is leading thee?

5. എന്നാല് നിന്റെ കാഠിന്യത്താലും അനുതാപമില്ലാത്ത ഹൃദയത്താലും നീ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ നീതിയുള്ള വിധി വെളിപ്പെടുന്ന കോപദിവസത്തേക്കു നിനക്കു തന്നേ കോപം ചരതിച്ചുവെക്കുന്നു.

5. But, according to thy hardness, and thine impenitent heart, art treasuring up for thyself anger, in a day of anger and revelation of the righteous judgment of God,

6. അവന് ഔരോരുത്തന്നു അവനവന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തിക്കു തക്ക പകരം ചെയ്യും.

6. Who will render unto each one according to his works:

7. നല്ല പ്രവൃത്തിക്കു വേണ്ടുന്ന സ്ഥിരത പൂണ്ടു തേജസ്സും മാനവും അക്ഷയതയും അന്വേഷിക്കുന്നവര്ക്കും

7. Unto them, on the one hand, who, by way of endurance in good work, are seeking, glory, honour and incorruption, life age-abiding,

8. നിത്യജീവനും, ശാഠ്യം പൂണ്ടു സത്യം അനുസരിക്കാതെ അനീതി അനുസരിക്കുന്നവര്ക്കും കോപവും ക്രോധവും കൊടുക്കും.

8. Unto them, on the other hand, who are of contention, and are not yielding unto the truth, but are yielding unto unrighteousness, anger and wrath,

9. തിന്മ പ്രവര്ത്തിക്കുന്ന ഏതു മനുഷ്യാത്മാവിന്നും കഷ്ടവും സങ്കടവും ആദ്യം യെഹൂദന്നും പിന്നെ യവനന്നും വരും.

9. tribulation and anguish against every soul of man who worketh out what is base, both of Jew first and of Greek,

10. നന്മ പ്രവര്ത്തിക്കുന്ന ഏവന്നു മഹത്വവും മാനവും സമാധാനവും ആദ്യം യെഹൂദന്നും പിന്നെ യവനന്നും ലഭിക്കും.

10. But glory and honour and peace unto every one who worketh what is good, both unto Jew first and unto Greek:

11. ദൈവത്തിന്റെ പക്കല് മുഖപക്ഷം ഇല്ലല്ലോ.

11. For there is no respect of persons with God;

12. ന്യായപ്രമാണം ഇല്ലാതെ പാപം ചെയ്തവര് ഒക്കെയും ന്യായപ്രമാണം കൂടാതെ നശിച്ചുപോകും; ന്യായപ്രമാണം ഉണ്ടായിട്ടു പാപം ചെയ്തവര് ഒക്കെയും ന്യായപ്രമാണത്താല് വിധിക്കപ്പെടും.

12. For, as many as without law sinned, without law, also shall perish, and, as many as within law sinned, through law, shall be judged;

13. ന്യായപ്രമാണം കേള്ക്കുന്നവരല്ല ദൈവസന്നിധിയില് നീതിമാന്മാര്; ന്യായപ്രമാണം ആചരിക്കുന്നവരത്രേ നീതികരിക്കപ്പെടുന്നതു.

13. For, not the hearers of law, are righteous with God, but, the doers of law, shall be declared righteous;

14. ന്യായപ്രമാണമില്ലാത്ത ജാതികള് ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തിലുള്ളതു സ്വഭാവത്താല് ചെയ്യുമ്പോള് ന്യായപ്രമാണമില്ലാത്ത അവര് തങ്ങള്ക്കു തന്നേ ഒരു ന്യായപ്രമാണം ആകുന്നു.

14. For, whensoever the nations which have not law, by nature, the things of the law, may be doing, the same, not having law, unto themselves, are a law,

15. അവരുടെ മനസ്സാക്ഷിക്കുടെ സാക്ഷ്യം പറഞ്ഞും അവരുടെ വിചാരങ്ങള് തമ്മില് കുറ്റം ചുമത്തുകയോ പ്രതിവാദിക്കയോ ചെയ്തുംകൊണ്ടു അവര് ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തിന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തി തങ്ങളുടെ ഹൃദയത്തില് എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നതായി കാണിക്കുന്നു;

15. Who, indeed, shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience therewith bearing witness, and, between one another, their reasonings accusing or, even excusing, them:

16. ദൈവം യേശു ക്രിസ്തു മുഖാന്തരം മനുഷ്യരുടെ രഹസ്യങ്ങളെ എന്റെ സുവിശേഷപ്രകാരം ന്യായം വിധിക്കുന്ന നാളില് തന്നേ.

16. In the day on which God judgeth the secrets of men according to my glad-message through Christ Jesus.

17. നീയോ യെഹൂദന് എന്നു പേര് കൊണ്ടും ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തില് ആശ്രയിച്ചും

17. If, however, thou, art taking the name of Jew, and resting thyself upon law, and boasting in God,

18. ദൈവത്തില് പ്രശംസിച്ചും ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തില് നിന്നു പഠിക്കയാല് അവന്റെ ഇഷ്ടം അറിഞ്ഞും ഭേദാഭേദങ്ങള് വിവേചിച്ചും

18. And art taking note of his will, and testing the things that differ when receiving oral instruction out of the law,

19. ജ്ഞാനത്തിന്റെയും സത്യത്തിന്റെയും സ്വരൂപം ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തില് നിന്നു നിനക്കു ലഭിച്ചതുകൊണ്ടു നീ കുരുടര്ക്കും വഴി കാട്ടുന്നവന് ,

19. Art persuaded, moreover, that, thou thyself, art a guide of the blind, a light of them that are in darkness,

20. ഇരുട്ടിലുള്ളവര്ക്കും വെളിച്ചം, മൂഢരെ പഠിപ്പിക്കുന്നവന് , ശിശുക്കള്ക്കു ഉപദേഷ്ടാവു എന്നു ഉറെച്ചുമിരിക്കുന്നെങ്കില്-

20. A trainer of the simple, a teacher of babes, having the forming of knowledge and truth in the law,

21. ഹേ, അന്യനെ ഉപദേശിക്കുന്നവനേ, നീ നിന്നെത്തന്നെ ഉപദേശിക്കാത്തതു എന്തു? മോഷ്ടിക്കരുതു എന്നു പ്രസംഗിക്കുന്ന നീ മോഷ്ടിക്കുന്നുവോ?

21. Thou, therefore, that art teaching someone else, thyself, art thou not teaching? Thou that proclaimest Do not steal! Art thou, stealing?

22. വ്യഭിചാരം ചെയ്യരുതു എന്നു പറയുന്ന നീ വ്യഭിചാരം ചെയ്യുന്നുവോ? വിഗ്രഹങ്ങളെ വെറുക്കുന്ന നീ ക്ഷേത്രം കവര്ച്ച ചെയ്യുന്നുവോ?

22. That sayest Do not commit adultery! Art thou, committing adultery? That abhorrest sacrilege, Art thou, robbing temples?

23. ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തില് പ്രശംസിക്കുന്ന നീ ന്യായപ്രമാണലംഘനത്താല് ദൈവത്തെ അപമാനിക്കുന്നുവോ?

23. That in law dost boast, Through the transgression of the law, art thou dishonouring God?

24. “നിങ്ങള് നിമിത്തം ദൈവത്തിന്റെ നാമം ജാതികളുടെ ഇടയില് ദുഷിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു” എന്നു എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.

24. For the name of God, because of you, is defamed among the nations, even as it is written.

25. നീ ന്യായപ്രമാണം ആചരിച്ചാല് പരിച്ഛേദന പ്രയോജനമുള്ളതു സത്യം; ന്യായപ്രമാണലംഘിയായാലോ നിന്റെ പരിച്ഛേദന അഗ്രചര്മ്മമായിത്തീര്ന്നു.

25. For, circumcision, indeed, profiteth if, law, thou be practising; but, if thou be a transgressor of law, thy circumcision, hath become, uncircumcision

26. അഗ്രചര്മ്മി ന്യായ പ്രമാണത്തിന്റെ നിയമങ്ങളെ പ്രമാണിച്ചാല് അവന്റെ അഗ്രചര്മ്മം പരിച്ഛേദന എന്നു എണ്ണുകയില്ലയോ?

26. If then, the uncircumcision, be guarding the righteous requirement of the law, shall not, his uncircumcision, as circumcision be reckoned?

27. സ്വഭാവത്താല് അഗ്രചര്മ്മിയായവന് ന്യായപ്രമാണം അനുഷ്ഠിക്കുന്നു എങ്കില് അക്ഷരവും പരിച്ഛേദനയുമുള്ള ന്യായപ്രമാണലംഘിയായ നിന്നെ അവന് വിധിക്കയില്ലയോ?

27. And the uncircumcision by nature, completing the law, shall judge, thee, who, notwithstanding letter and circumcision, art a transgressor of law!

28. പുറമെ യെഹൂദനായവന് യെഹൂദനല്ല; പുറമെ ജഡത്തിലുള്ളതു പരിച്ഛേദനയുമല്ല;

28. For, not he who is one in appearance, is a Jew, nor is, that which is such in appearance in flesh, circumcision;

29. അകമെ യെഹൂദനായവനത്രേ യെഹൂദന് ; അക്ഷരത്തിലല്ല ആത്മാവിലുള്ള ഹൃദയപരിച്ഛേദനയത്രേ പരിച്ഛേദന; അവന്നു മനുഷ്യരാലല്ല ദൈവത്താല് തന്നേ പുകഴ്ച ലഭിക്കും.

29. But, he who is one in secret, is a Jew, and, that is , circumcision, which is of the heart, in spirit, not in letter, whose, praise, is not of men, but of God.
