1. അതുകൊണ്ടു വിധിക്കുന്ന ഏതു മനുഷ്യനുമായുള്ളോവേ, നിനക്കു പ്രതിവാദം പറവാന് ഇല്ല; അന്യനെ വിധിക്കുന്നതില് നീ നിന്നെത്തന്നെ കുറ്റം വിധിക്കുന്നു; വിധിക്കുന്ന നീ അതു തന്നേ പ്രവര്ത്തിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.

1. Therefore art thou inexcusable, O ma, whosoeuer thou be that iudgest. For in that same wherin thou iudgest another, thou condempnest thy self. For thou that iudgest, doest euen ye selfe same thynges.

2. എന്നാല് ആവക പ്രവര്ത്തിക്കുന്നവരുടെ നേരെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ വിധി സത്യാനുസരണയായിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു നാം അറിയുന്നു.

2. But we are sure that the iudgement of god is according to the trueth, against them which commit such thynges.

3. ആവക പ്രവര്ത്തിക്കുന്നവരെ വിധിക്കയും അതു തന്നേ പ്രവര്ത്തിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്ന മനുഷ്യ, നീ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ വിധിയില്നിന്നു തെറ്റി ഒഴിയും എന്നു നിനെക്കുന്നുവോ?

3. Thinkest thou this, O thou man that iudgest them whiche do such thynges, and doest the same [thy selfe] that thou shalt escape the iudgement of God?

4. അല്ല, ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ദയ നിന്നെ മാനസാന്തരത്തിലേക്കു നടത്തുന്നു എന്നു അറിയാതെ നീ അവന്റെ ദയ, ക്ഷമ, ദീര്ഘക്ഷാന്തി എന്നിവയുടെ ഐശ്വര്യം നിരസിക്കുന്നുവോ?

4. Eyther despisest thou the rychesse of his goodnes, & pacience, and long sufferaunce, not knowyng that the kyndnesse of god leadeth thee to repentauce?

5. എന്നാല് നിന്റെ കാഠിന്യത്താലും അനുതാപമില്ലാത്ത ഹൃദയത്താലും നീ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ നീതിയുള്ള വിധി വെളിപ്പെടുന്ന കോപദിവസത്തേക്കു നിനക്കു തന്നേ കോപം ചരതിച്ചുവെക്കുന്നു.

5. But thou after thy stubbernnesse and heart that can not repent, heapest vnto thy selfe wrath, agaynst the daye of wrath and declaration of the righteous iudgement of God:

6. അവന് ഔരോരുത്തന്നു അവനവന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തിക്കു തക്ക പകരം ചെയ്യും.

6. Which wyl rewarde euery man accordyng to his deedes:

7. നല്ല പ്രവൃത്തിക്കു വേണ്ടുന്ന സ്ഥിരത പൂണ്ടു തേജസ്സും മാനവും അക്ഷയതയും അന്വേഷിക്കുന്നവര്ക്കും

7. To them, whiche by continuyng in well doyng seke for glorie, and honour, and immortalitie, eternall lyfe.

8. നിത്യജീവനും, ശാഠ്യം പൂണ്ടു സത്യം അനുസരിക്കാതെ അനീതി അനുസരിക്കുന്നവര്ക്കും കോപവും ക്രോധവും കൊടുക്കും.

8. But vnto them that are contentious, & that do not obey the trueth, but obey vnrighteousnes [shall come] indignation, and wrath.

9. തിന്മ പ്രവര്ത്തിക്കുന്ന ഏതു മനുഷ്യാത്മാവിന്നും കഷ്ടവും സങ്കടവും ആദ്യം യെഹൂദന്നും പിന്നെ യവനന്നും വരും.

9. Tribulation, and anguishe, vpon euery soule of man that doeth euyll, of the Iewe first, and also of the Greke:

10. നന്മ പ്രവര്ത്തിക്കുന്ന ഏവന്നു മഹത്വവും മാനവും സമാധാനവും ആദ്യം യെഹൂദന്നും പിന്നെ യവനന്നും ലഭിക്കും.

10. But glorie, and honour, and peace to euery man that doeth good, to ye Iewe first, and also to the Greke.

11. ദൈവത്തിന്റെ പക്കല് മുഖപക്ഷം ഇല്ലല്ലോ.

11. For there is no respect of persos with God.

12. ന്യായപ്രമാണം ഇല്ലാതെ പാപം ചെയ്തവര് ഒക്കെയും ന്യായപ്രമാണം കൂടാതെ നശിച്ചുപോകും; ന്യായപ്രമാണം ഉണ്ടായിട്ടു പാപം ചെയ്തവര് ഒക്കെയും ന്യായപ്രമാണത്താല് വിധിക്കപ്പെടും.

12. For whosoeuer hath sinned without lawe, shall also perishe without lawe: And as many as haue sinned in ye lawe, shalbe iudged by the lawe.

13. ന്യായപ്രമാണം കേള്ക്കുന്നവരല്ല ദൈവസന്നിധിയില് നീതിമാന്മാര്; ന്യായപ്രമാണം ആചരിക്കുന്നവരത്രേ നീതികരിക്കപ്പെടുന്നതു.

13. (For in the sight of God, they are not righteous whiche heare the lawe: but the doers of the lawe shalbe iustified.

14. ന്യായപ്രമാണമില്ലാത്ത ജാതികള് ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തിലുള്ളതു സ്വഭാവത്താല് ചെയ്യുമ്പോള് ന്യായപ്രമാണമില്ലാത്ത അവര് തങ്ങള്ക്കു തന്നേ ഒരു ന്യായപ്രമാണം ആകുന്നു.

14. For when the Gentiles, which haue not the lawe, do of nature the thynges conteyned in the lawe: they hauing not the lawe, are a lawe vnto them selues.

15. അവരുടെ മനസ്സാക്ഷിക്കുടെ സാക്ഷ്യം പറഞ്ഞും അവരുടെ വിചാരങ്ങള് തമ്മില് കുറ്റം ചുമത്തുകയോ പ്രതിവാദിക്കയോ ചെയ്തുംകൊണ്ടു അവര് ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തിന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തി തങ്ങളുടെ ഹൃദയത്തില് എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നതായി കാണിക്കുന്നു;

15. Which shewe the workes of the lawe written in their heartes, their conscience bearing them witnesse, & their thoughtes, accusyng one another, or excusyng,)

16. ദൈവം യേശു ക്രിസ്തു മുഖാന്തരം മനുഷ്യരുടെ രഹസ്യങ്ങളെ എന്റെ സുവിശേഷപ്രകാരം ന്യായം വിധിക്കുന്ന നാളില് തന്നേ.

16. At the day when God shall iudge the secretes of men by Iesus Christe, accordyng to my Gospell.

17. നീയോ യെഹൂദന് എന്നു പേര് കൊണ്ടും ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തില് ആശ്രയിച്ചും

17. Behold, thou art called a Iewe, and restest in the lawe, and makest thy boast of God,

18. ദൈവത്തില് പ്രശംസിച്ചും ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തില് നിന്നു പഠിക്കയാല് അവന്റെ ഇഷ്ടം അറിഞ്ഞും ഭേദാഭേദങ്ങള് വിവേചിച്ചും

18. And knowest his wyll, and alowest the thinges that be excellent, infourmed by the lawe:

19. ജ്ഞാനത്തിന്റെയും സത്യത്തിന്റെയും സ്വരൂപം ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തില് നിന്നു നിനക്കു ലഭിച്ചതുകൊണ്ടു നീ കുരുടര്ക്കും വഴി കാട്ടുന്നവന് ,

19. And beleuest that thou thy selfe art a guyde of the blynde, a lyght of them which are in darknesse,

20. ഇരുട്ടിലുള്ളവര്ക്കും വെളിച്ചം, മൂഢരെ പഠിപ്പിക്കുന്നവന് , ശിശുക്കള്ക്കു ഉപദേഷ്ടാവു എന്നു ഉറെച്ചുമിരിക്കുന്നെങ്കില്-

20. An infourmer of them whiche lacke discretion, a teacher of the vnlearned: which hast the fourme of knowledge, & of the trueth in the lawe.

21. ഹേ, അന്യനെ ഉപദേശിക്കുന്നവനേ, നീ നിന്നെത്തന്നെ ഉപദേശിക്കാത്തതു എന്തു? മോഷ്ടിക്കരുതു എന്നു പ്രസംഗിക്കുന്ന നീ മോഷ്ടിക്കുന്നുവോ?
സങ്കീർത്തനങ്ങൾ 50:16-21

21. Thou therefore which teachest another, teachest not thy selfe? Thou preachest a man shoulde not steale, yet thou stealest.

22. വ്യഭിചാരം ചെയ്യരുതു എന്നു പറയുന്ന നീ വ്യഭിചാരം ചെയ്യുന്നുവോ? വിഗ്രഹങ്ങളെ വെറുക്കുന്ന നീ ക്ഷേത്രം കവര്ച്ച ചെയ്യുന്നുവോ?

22. Thou that sayest a man shoulde not commit adulterie, breakest wedlocke. Thou abhorrest idoles, and yet robbest God of his honour.

23. ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തില് പ്രശംസിക്കുന്ന നീ ന്യായപ്രമാണലംഘനത്താല് ദൈവത്തെ അപമാനിക്കുന്നുവോ?

23. Thou that makest thy boast of ye lawe, through breakyng the lawe dishonorest God.

24. “നിങ്ങള് നിമിത്തം ദൈവത്തിന്റെ നാമം ജാതികളുടെ ഇടയില് ദുഷിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു” എന്നു എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.

24. For the name of God is euyll spoken of among the Gentiles, through you: As it is written.

25. നീ ന്യായപ്രമാണം ആചരിച്ചാല് പരിച്ഛേദന പ്രയോജനമുള്ളതു സത്യം; ന്യായപ്രമാണലംഘിയായാലോ നിന്റെ പരിച്ഛേദന അഗ്രചര്മ്മമായിത്തീര്ന്നു.
യിരേമ്യാവു 4:4, യിരേമ്യാവു 9:25

25. For circumcision veryly auayleth, yf thou kepe the lawe: But yf thou be a breaker of the lawe, thy circumcision is made vncircumcision.

26. അഗ്രചര്മ്മി ന്യായ പ്രമാണത്തിന്റെ നിയമങ്ങളെ പ്രമാണിച്ചാല് അവന്റെ അഗ്രചര്മ്മം പരിച്ഛേദന എന്നു എണ്ണുകയില്ലയോ?

26. Therefore if the vncircumcisio kepe the ordinaunces of the law, shall not his vncircumcisio be counted for circumcisio?

27. സ്വഭാവത്താല് അഗ്രചര്മ്മിയായവന് ന്യായപ്രമാണം അനുഷ്ഠിക്കുന്നു എങ്കില് അക്ഷരവും പരിച്ഛേദനയുമുള്ള ന്യായപ്രമാണലംഘിയായ നിന്നെ അവന് വിധിക്കയില്ലയോ?

27. And shall not vncircumcision which is by nature, if it kepe the law, iudge thee, which beyng vnder the letter & circumcision, doest transgresse the lawe?

28. പുറമെ യെഹൂദനായവന് യെഹൂദനല്ല; പുറമെ ജഡത്തിലുള്ളതു പരിച്ഛേദനയുമല്ല;

28. For he is not a Iewe, whiche is a Iewe outwarde. Neither is that circucision which is outwarde in the fleshe:

29. അകമെ യെഹൂദനായവനത്രേ യെഹൂദന് ; അക്ഷരത്തിലല്ല ആത്മാവിലുള്ള ഹൃദയപരിച്ഛേദനയത്രേ പരിച്ഛേദന; അവന്നു മനുഷ്യരാലല്ല ദൈവത്താല് തന്നേ പുകഴ്ച ലഭിക്കും.

29. But he is a Iewe whiche is one inwardly, and the circumcisio of ye heart, which consisteth in the spirite, and not in the letter [is circumcision] whose prayse is not of men, but of God.
