1. ഞാന് ക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ അനുകാരിയായിരിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ നിങ്ങളും എന്റെ അനുകാരികള് ആകുവിന് .

1. Follow me as I do Christ.

2. നിങ്ങള് സകലത്തിലും എന്നെ ഔര്ക്കുംകയും ഞാന് നിങ്ങളെ ഏല്പിച്ച കല്പനകളെ പ്രമാണിക്കയും ചെയ്കയാല് നിങ്ങളെ പുകഴ്ത്തുന്നു.

2. I commend you brethren that ye remember me in all things, and keep the ordinances which I gave(even as I delivered them) to you.

3. എന്നാല് ഏതു പുരുഷന്റെയും തല ക്രിസ്തു, സ്ത്രീയുടെ തല പുരുഷന് , ക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ തല ദൈവം എന്നു നിങ്ങള് അറിയേണം എന്നു ഞാന് ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നു.
ഉല്പത്തി 3:16

3. I would ye knew(But I certify you) that Christ is the head of every man; and the woman's head is the man; and Christ's(Christes) head is God.(And the man is the womans head. And God is Christes head.)

4. മൂടുപടം ഇട്ടു പ്രാര്ത്ഥിക്കയോ പ്രവചിക്കയോ ചെയ്യുന്ന ഏതു പുരുഷനും തന്റെ തലയെ അപമാനിക്കുന്നു.

4. Every man praying or prophesying having any thing on his head, shameth his head.

5. മൂടുപടമില്ലാതെ പ്രാര്ത്ഥിക്കയോ പ്രവചിക്കയോ ചെയ്യുന്ന ഏതു സ്ത്രീയും തന്റെ തലയെ അപമാനിക്കുന്നു; അതു അവള് ക്ഷൌരം ചെയ്യിച്ചതുപോലെയല്ലോ.

5. Every woman that prayeth or prophesieth bare headed,(uncovered head) dishonesteth her head. For it is even all one, and the very same thing even as though she were shaven.

6. സ്ത്രീ മൂടുപടമിടുന്നില്ലെങ്കില് മുടി കത്രിച്ചുകളയട്ടെ. കത്രിക്കുന്നതോ ക്ഷൌരം ചെയ്യിക്കുന്നതോ സ്ത്രീക്കു ലജ്ജയെങ്കില് മൂടുപടം ഇട്ടുകൊള്ളട്ടെ.

6. If the woman be not covered, let her also be shaven.(shorn.) If it be shame for a woman to be shaven or shorn, let her cover her head.

7. പുരുഷന് ദൈവത്തിന്റെ പ്രതിമയും തേജസ്സും ആകയാല് മൂടുപടം ഇടേണ്ടതല്ല. സ്ത്രീയോ പുരുഷന്റെ തേജസ്സ് ആകുന്നു.

7. A man ought not to cover his head, forasmuch as he is the image and glory of God. The woman is the glory of the man.

8. പുരുഷന് സ്ത്രീയില്നിന്നല്ലല്ലോ സ്ത്രീ പുരുഷനില്നിന്നത്രേ ഉണ്ടായതു.

8. For the man is not of the woman, but the woman of the man.

9. പുരുഷന് സ്ത്രീക്കായിട്ടല്ല സ്ത്രീ പുരുഷന്നായിട്ടല്ലോ സൃഷ്ടിക്കപ്പെട്ടതു.
ഉല്പത്തി 2:18

9. Neither was the man created for the woman's sake: but the woman for the man's sake.

10. ആകയാല് സ്ത്രീക്കു ദൂതന്മാര് നിമിത്തം തലമേല് അധീനതാലക്ഷ്യം ഉണ്ടായിരിക്കേണം.

10. For this cause ought the woman to have power in(on) her head, for the angels' sake.(sakes)

11. എന്നാല് കര്ത്താവില് പുരുഷനെ കൂടാതെ സ്ത്രീയുമില്ല സ്ത്രീയെ കൂടാതെ പുരുഷനുമില്ല.

11. Nevertheless, neither is the man without the woman, neither the woman without the man in the Lord.

12. സ്ത്രീ പുരുഷനില്നിന്നു ഉണ്ടായതുപോലെ പുരുഷനും സ്ത്രീ മുഖാന്തരം ഉളവാകുന്നു; എന്നാല് സകലത്തിന്നും ദൈവം കാരണഭൂതന് .

12. For as the woman is of the man, even so is the man by the woman: but all is of God.

13. നിങ്ങള് തന്നേ വിധിപ്പിന് ; സ്ത്രീ മൂടുപടം ഇടാതെ ദൈവത്തോടു പ്രാര്ത്ഥിക്കുന്നതു യോഗ്യമോ?

13. Judge in yourselves whether it be comely that a woman pray unto God bareheaded.

14. പുരുഷന് മുടി നീട്ടിയാല് അതു അവന്നു അപമാനം എന്നും

14. Or else doth not nature teach you, that it is a shame for a man, if he have long hair:

15. സ്ത്രീ മുടി നീട്ടിയാലോ അതു മൂടുപടത്തിന്നു പകരം നല്കിയിരിക്കകൊണ്ടു അവള്ക്കു മാനം ആകുന്നു എന്നും പ്രകൃതി തന്നേ നിങ്ങളെ പഠിപ്പിക്കുന്നില്ലയോ?

15. and a praise to a woman if she have long hair? For her hair is given her to cover her withal.

16. ഒരുത്തന് തര്ക്കിപ്പാന് ഭാവിച്ചാല് അങ്ങനെയുള്ള മര്യ്യാദ ഞങ്ങള്ക്കില്ല ദൈവസഭകള്ക്കുമില്ല എന്നു ഔര്ക്കട്ടെ.

16. If there be any man among you that lusteth to strive, let him know that we have no such customs, neither the congregations of God.

17. ഇനി ആജ്ഞാപിപ്പാന് പോകുന്നതില് ഞാന് നിങ്ങളെ പുകഴ്ത്തുന്നില്ല; നിങ്ങള് കൂടിവരുന്നതിനാല് നന്മെക്കല്ല തിന്മെക്കത്രെ ഇടയാകുന്നതു.

17. This I warn you of, and commend not that ye come together after a worse manner, and not after a better.(not after a better manner but after a worse.)

18. ഒന്നാമതു നിങ്ങള് സഭകൂടുമ്പോള് നിങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയില് ഭിന്നത ഉണ്ടെന്നു ഞാന് കേള്ക്കുന്നു; ഏതാനും വിശ്വസിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.

18. First of all when ye come together in the congregation, I hear that there is dissension among you: And I partly believe it.

19. നിങ്ങളില് കൊള്ളാകുന്നവര് വെളിവാകേണ്ടതിന്നു നിങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയില് ഭിന്നപക്ഷങ്ങളും ഉണ്ടാകേണ്ടതു.

19. For there must be sects among you, that they which among you are perfect might be known.

20. നിങ്ങള് കൂടിവരുമ്പോള് കര്ത്താവിന്റെ അത്താഴമല്ല കഴിക്കുന്നതു.

20. When ye come together in one place, a man cannot eat the Lord's supper.

21. ഭക്ഷണം കഴിക്കയില് ഔരോരുത്തന് താന്താന്റെ അത്താഴം മുമ്പെ കഴിക്കുന്നു. അങ്ങനെ ഒരുവന് വിശന്നും മറ്റൊരുവന് ലഹരിപിടിച്ചും ഇരിക്കുന്നു.

21. For every man beginneth afore to eat his own supper. And one is hungry, and another is drunken.

22. തിന്നുവാനും കുടിപ്പാനും നിങ്ങള്ക്കു വീടുകള് ഇല്ലയോ? അല്ല, ദൈവത്തിന്റെ സഭയെ നിങ്ങള് തുച്ഛീകരിച്ചു, ഇല്ലാത്തവരെ ലജ്ജിപ്പിക്കുന്നുവോ? നിങ്ങളോടു എന്തു പറയേണ്ടു? നിങ്ങളെ പുകഴ്ത്തുകയോ? ഇതില് ഞാന് നിങ്ങളെ പുകഴ്ത്തുന്നില്ല.

22. Have ye not houses to eat and to drink in? Or else despise ye the congregation of God? and shame them that have not? what shall I say unto you? shall I praise you? in this praise I you not.

23. ഞാന് കര്ത്താവിങ്കല് നിന്നു പ്രാപിക്കയും നിങ്ങള്ക്കു ഏല്പിക്കയും ചെയ്തതു എന്തെന്നാല്കര്ത്താവായ യേശുവിനെ കാണിച്ചുകൊടുത്ത രാത്രിയില് അവന് അപ്പം എടുത്തു സ്തോത്രം ചൊല്ലി നുറുക്കി

23. That which I gave(I delivered) unto you I received of the Lord. For the Lord Jesus the same night in the which he was betrayed, took bread:

24. ഇതു നിങ്ങള്ക്കു വേണ്ടിയുള്ള എന്റെ ശരീരം; എന്റെ ഔര്മ്മെക്കായി ഇതു ചെയ്വിന് എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

24. and thanked and brake, and said: Take ye, and eat ye this is my body which is broken for you. This do ye in the remembrance of me.

25. അവ്വണ്ണം തന്നേ അത്താഴം കഴിഞ്ഞശേഷം അവന് പാനപാത്രവും എടുത്തു; ഈ പാനപാത്രം എന്റെ രക്തത്തില് പുതിയനിയമം ആകുന്നു; ഇതു കുടിക്കുമ്പോഴൊക്കെയും എന്റെ ഔര്മ്മെക്കായി ചെയ്വിന് എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

25. After the same manner he took the cup when supper was done saying: This cup is the new testament in my blood, this do as oft as ye drink it, in the remembrance of me.

26. അങ്ങനെ നിങ്ങള് ഈ അപ്പം തിന്നുകയും പാനപാത്രം കുടിക്കയും ചെയ്യുമ്പോഴൊക്കെയും കര്ത്താവു വരുവോളം അവന്റെ മരണത്തെ പ്രസ്താവിക്കുന്നു.

26. For as often as ye shall eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye shall shew the Lord's death, till he come.

27. അതുകൊണ്ടു അയോഗ്യമായി അപ്പം തിന്നുകയോ കര്ത്താവിന്റെ പാനപാത്രം കുടിക്കയോ ചെയ്യുന്നവന് എല്ലാം കര്ത്താവിന്റെ ശരീരവും രക്തവും സംബന്ധിച്ചു കുറ്റക്കാരന് ആകും.

27. Wherefore whosoever shall eat of this bread, or drink of the cup unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord.

28. മനുഷ്യന് തന്നെത്താന് ശോധന ചെയ്തിട്ടുവേണം ഈ അപ്പം തിന്നുകയും പാനപാത്രത്തില്നിന്നു കുടിക്കയും ചെയ്വാന് .

28. Let a man therefore examine himself, and so let him eat of the bread and drink of the cup.

29. തിന്നുകയും കുടിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നവന് ശരീരത്തെ വിവേചിക്കാഞ്ഞാല് തനിക്കു ശിക്ഷാവിധി തിന്നുകയും കുടിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.

29. For he that eateth or drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh his own damnation, because he maketh no difference of the Lord's(lordis) body.

30. ഇതുഹേതുവായി നിങ്ങളില് പലരും ബലഹീനരും രോഗികളും ആകുന്നു; അനേകരും നിദ്രകൊള്ളുന്നു.

30. For this cause many are weak and sick among you, and many sleep.

31. നാം നമ്മെത്തന്നേ വിധിച്ചാല് വിധിക്കപ്പെടുകയില്ല.

31. If we had truly judged ourselves, we should not have been judged.

32. വിധിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു എങ്കിലോ നാം ലോകത്തോടുകൂടെ ശിക്ഷാവിധിയില് അകപ്പെടാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു കര്ത്താവു നമ്മെ ബാലശിക്ഷ കഴിക്കയാകുന്നു.

32. (But) When we are judged of the Lord we are chastened, because we should not be damned with the world.

33. ആകയാല് സഹോദരന്മാരേ, നിങ്ങള് ഭക്ഷണം കഴിപ്പാന് കൂടുമ്പോള് അന്യോന്യം കാത്തിരിപ്പിന് .

33. Wherefore my brethren, when ye come together(togedder) to eat, tarry one for another.

34. വല്ലവന്നും വിശക്കുന്നു എങ്കില് നിങ്ങള് ഒരുമിച്ചു കൂടുന്നതു ന്യായവിധിക്കു ഹേതുവാകാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവന് വീട്ടില്വെച്ചു ഭക്ഷണം കഴിക്കട്ടെ. ശേഷം കാര്യ്യങ്ങളെ ഞാന് വന്നിട്ടു ക്രമപ്പെടുത്തും.

34. If any man hunger, let him eat at home, that ye come not together unto condemnation. Other things will I set in order when I come.
