1. അബ്രാമിന്നു തൊണ്ണൂറ്റൊമ്പതു വയസ്സായപ്പോള് യഹോവ അബ്രാമിന്നു പ്രത്യക്ഷനായി അവനോടുഞാന് സര്വ്വശക്തിയുള്ള ദൈവം ആകന്നു; നീ എന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ നടന്നു നിഷ്കളങ്കനായിരിക്ക.

1. When Abram was ninetie yeere olde and nine, the Lord appeared to Abram, and said vnto him, I am God all sufficient. walke before me, and be thou vpright,

2. എനിക്കും നിനക്കും മദ്ധ്യേ ഞാന് എന്റെ നിയമം സ്ഥാപിക്കും; നിന്നെ അധികമധികമായി വര്ദ്ധിപ്പിക്കും എന്നു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു.

2. And I will make my couenant betweene me and thee, and I will multiplie thee exceedingly.

3. അപ്പോള് അബ്രാം സാഷ്ടാംഗം വീണു; ദൈവം അവനോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതെന്തെന്നാല്

3. Then Abram fell on his face, and God talked with him, saying,

4. എനിക്കു നിന്നോടു ഒരു നിയമമുണ്ടു; നീ ബഹുജാതികള്ക്കു പിതാവാകും;

4. Beholde, I make my couenant with thee, and thou shalt be a father of many nations,

5. ഇനി നിന്നെ അബ്രാം എന്നല്ല വിളിക്കേണ്ടതു; ഞാന് നിന്നെ ബഹു ജാതികള്ക്കു പിതാവാക്കിയിരിക്കയാല് നിന്റെ പേര് അബ്രാഹാം എന്നിരിക്കേണം.

5. Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shalbe Abraham: for a father of many nations haue I made thee.

6. ഞാന് നിന്നെ അധികമധികമായി വര്ദ്ധിപ്പിച്ചു, അനേകജാതികളാക്കും; നിന്നില് നിന്നു രാജാക്കന്മാരും ഉത്ഭവിക്കും.

6. Also I will make thee exceeding fruitfull, and will make nations of thee: yea, Kings shall proceede of thee.

7. ഞാന് നിനക്കും നിന്റെ ശേഷം നിന്റെ സന്തതിക്കും ദൈവമായിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഞാന് എനിക്കും നിനക്കും നിന്റെ ശേഷം തലമുറതലമുറയായി നിന്റെ സന്തതിക്കും മദ്ധ്യേ എന്റെ നിയമത്തെ നിത്യനിയമമായി സ്ഥാപിക്കും.

7. Moreouer I wil establish my couenant betweene me and thee, and thy seede after thee in their generations, for an euerlasting couenant, to be God vnto thee and to thy seede after thee.

8. ഞാന് നിനക്കും നിന്റെ ശേഷം നിന്റെ സന്തതിക്കും നീ പ്രവാസം ചെയ്യുന്ന ദേശമായ കനാന് ദേശം ഒക്കെയും ശാശ്വതാവകാശമായി തരും; ഞാന് അവര്ക്കും ദൈവമായുമിരിക്കും.

8. And I will giue thee and thy seede after thee the land, wherein thou art a stranger, euen all the land of Canaan, for an euerlasting possession, and I will be their God.

9. ദൈവം പിന്നെയും അബ്രാഹാമിനോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതുനീയും നിന്റെശേഷം തലമുറതലമുറയായി നിന്റെ സന്തതിയും എന്റെ നിയമം പ്രമാണിക്കേണം.

9. Againe God said vnto Abraham, Thou also shalt keepe my couenant, thou, and thy seede after thee in their generations.

10. എനിക്കും നിങ്ങള്ക്കും നിന്റെ ശേഷം നിന്റെ സന്തതിക്കും മദ്ധ്യേയുള്ളതും നിങ്ങള് പ്രമാണിക്കേണ്ടതുമായ എന്റെ നിയമം ആവിതുനിങ്ങളില് പുരുഷപ്രജയൊക്കെയും പരിച്ഛേദന ഏല്ക്കേണം.

10. This is my couenant which ye shall keepe betweene me and you, and thy seede after thee, Let euery man childe among you be circumcised:

11. നിങ്ങളുടെ അഗ്രചര്മ്മം പരിച്ഛേദന ചെയ്യേണം; അതു എനിക്കും നിങ്ങള്ക്കും മദ്ധ്യേയുള്ള നിയമത്തിന്റെ അടയാളം ആകും.

11. That is, ye shall circumcise the foreskin of your flesh, and it shalbe a signe of the couenant betweene me and you.

12. തലമുറതലമുറയായി നിങ്ങളില് പുരുഷപ്രജയൊക്കെയും എട്ടുദിവസം പ്രായമാകുമ്പോള് പരിച്ഛേദനഏല്ക്കേണം; വീട്ടില് ജനിച്ച ദാസനായാലും നിന്റെ സന്തതിയല്ലാത്തവനായി അന്യനോടുവിലകൂ വാങ്ങിയവനായാലും ശരി.

12. And euery man childe of eight dayes olde among you, shalbe circumcised in your generations, aswell he that is borne in thine house, as he that is bought with money of any stranger, which is not of thy seede.

13. നിന്റെ വീട്ടില് ജനിച്ച ദാസനും നീ വിലകൊടുത്തു വാങ്ങിയവനും പരിച്ഛേദന ഏറ്റേകഴിയൂ; എന്റെ നിയമം നിങ്ങളുടെ ദേഹത്തില് നിത്യനിയമമായിരിക്കേണം.

13. He that is borne in thine house, and he that is bought with thy money, must needes be circumcised: so my couenant shall be in your flesh for an euerlasting couenant.

14. അഗ്രചര്മ്മിയായ പുരുഷപ്രജയെ പരിച്ഛേദന ഏല്ക്കാതിരുന്നാല് ജനത്തില് നിന്നു ഛേദിച്ചുകളയേണം; അവന് എന്റെ നിയമം ലംഘിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

14. But the vncircumcised man childe, in whose flesh the foreskin is not circumcised, euen that person shall be cut off from his people, because he hath broken my couenant.

15. ദൈവം പിന്നെയും അബ്രാഹാമിനോടുനിന്റെ ഭാര്യയായ സാറായിയെ സാറായി എന്നല്ല വിളിക്കേണ്ടതു; അവളുടെ പേര് സാറാ എന്നു ഇരിക്കേണം.

15. Afterward God said vnto Abraham, Sarai thy wife shalt thou not call Sarai, but Sarah shalbe her name.

16. ഞാന് അവളെ അനുഗ്രഹിച്ചു അവളില്നിന്നു നിനക്കു ഒരു മകനെ തരും; ഞാന് അവളെ അനുഗ്രഹിക്കയും അവള് ജാതികള്ക്കു മാതാവായി തീരുകയും ജാതികളുടെ രാജാക്കന്മാര് അവളില്നിന്നു ഉത്ഭവിക്കയും ചെയ്യും എന്നു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു.

16. And I will blesse her, and will also giue thee a sonne of her, yea, I will blesse her, and she shall be the mother of nations: Kings also of people shall come of her.

17. അപ്പോള് അബ്രാഹാം കവിണ്ണുവീണു ചിരിച്ചുനൂറു വയസ്സുള്ളവന്നു മകന് ജനിക്കുമോ? തൊണ്ണൂറു വയസ്സുള്ള സാറാ പ്രസവിക്കുമോ? എന്നു തന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തില് പറഞ്ഞു.

17. Then Abraham fell vpon his face, and laughed, and said in his heart, Shall a childe be borne vnto him, that is an hundreth yeere olde? and shall Sarah that is ninetie yeere olde beare?

18. യിശ്മായേല് നിന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ ജീവിച്ചിരുന്നാല്മതി എന്നു അബ്രാഹാം ദൈവത്തോടു പറഞ്ഞു.

18. And Abraham saide vnto God, Oh, that Ishmael might liue in thy sight.

19. അതിന്നു ദൈവം അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതുഅല്ല, നിന്റെ ഭാര്യയായ സാറാ തന്നേ നിനക്കൊരു മകനെ പ്രസവിക്കും; നീ അവന്നു യിസ്ഹാക് എന്നു പേരിടേണം; ഞാന് അവനോടു അവന്റെ ശേഷം അവന്റെ സന്തതിയോടും എന്റെ നിയമത്തെ നിത്യനിയമമായി ഉറപ്പിക്കും

19. Then God saide, Sarah thy wife shall beare thee a sonne in deede, and thou shalt call his name Izhak: and I will establish my couenant with him for an euerlasting couenant, and with his seede after him.

20. യിശ്മായേലിനെ കുറിച്ചും ഞാന് നിന്റെ അപേക്ഷ കേട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു; ഞാന് അവനെ അനുഗ്രഹിച്ചു അത്യന്തം സന്താനപുഷ്ടിയുള്ളവനാക്കി വര്ദ്ധിപ്പിക്കും. അവന് പന്ത്രണ്ടു പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരെ ജനിപ്പിക്കും; ഞാന് അവനെ വലിയോരു ജാതിയാക്കും.

20. And as concerning Ishmael, I haue heard thee: loe, I haue blessed him, and will make him fruitfull, and will multiplie him exceedingly: twelue princes shall he beget, and I will make a great nation of him.

21. എന്റെ നിയമം ഞാന് ഉറപ്പിക്കുന്നതോ, ഇനിയത്തെ ആണ്ടു ഈ സമയത്തു സാറാ നിനക്കു പ്രസവിപ്പാനുള്ള യിസ്ഹാക്കിനോടു ആകുന്നു.

21. But my couenant will I establish with Izhak, which Sarah shall beare vnto thee, the next yeere at this season.

22. ദൈവം അബ്രാഹാമിനോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു തീര്ന്നശേഷം അവനെ വിട്ടു കയറിപ്പോയി.

22. And he left off talking with him, and God went vp from Abraham.

23. അനന്തരം അബ്രാഹാം തന്റെ മകനായ യിശ്മായേലിനെയും തന്റെ വീട്ടില് ജനിച്ച സകല ദാസന്മാരെയും താന് വിലകൂ വാങ്ങിയവരെ ഒക്കെയും അബ്രാഹാമിന്റെ വീട്ടിലുള്ള സകല പുരുഷന്മാരെയും കൂട്ടി ദൈവം തന്നോടു കല്പിച്ചതുപോലെ അവരുടെ അഗ്രചര്മ്മത്തെ അന്നുതന്നേ പരിച്ഛേദന കഴിച്ചു.

23. Then Abraham tooke Ishmael his sonne and all that were borne in his house, and all that was bought with his money, that is, euery man childe among the men of Abrahams house, and he circumcised the foreskinne of their flesh in that selfe same day, as God had comaunded him.

24. അബ്രാഹാം പരിച്ഛേദനയേറ്റപ്പോള് അവന്നു തൊണ്ണൂറ്റെമ്പതു വയസ്സായിരുന്നു.

24. Abraham also himselfe was ninetie yeere olde and nine, when the foreskinne of his flesh was circumcised.

25. അവന്റെ മകനായ യിശ്മായേല് പരിച്ഛേദനയേറ്റപ്പോള് അവന്നു പതിമൂന്നു വയസ്സായിരുന്നു.

25. And Ishmael his sonne was thirteene yeere olde, when the foreskinne of his flesh was circumcised.

26. അബ്രാഹാമും അവന്റെ മകനായ യിശ്മായേലും ഒരേ ദിവസത്തില്പരിച്ഛേദന ഏറ്റു.

26. The selfe same day was Abraham circumcised, and Ishmael his sonne:

27. വീട്ടില് ജനിച്ച ദാസന്മാരും അന്യരോടു അവന് വിലെക്കു വാങ്ങിയവരുമായി അവന്റെ വീട്ടിലുള്ളവര് എല്ലാവരും അവനോടുകൂടെ പരിച്ഛേദന ഏറ്റു.

27. And all the men of his house, both borne in his house, and bought with money of the stranger, were circumcised with him.
