1. അബ്രാമിന്നു തൊണ്ണൂറ്റൊമ്പതു വയസ്സായപ്പോള് യഹോവ അബ്രാമിന്നു പ്രത്യക്ഷനായി അവനോടുഞാന് സര്വ്വശക്തിയുള്ള ദൈവം ആകന്നു; നീ എന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ നടന്നു നിഷ്കളങ്കനായിരിക്ക.

1. When Abram was nynetye yere olde and ix. the LORde apeared to hym sayenge: I am the almyghtie God: walke before me ad be vncorrupte.

10. എനിക്കും നിങ്ങള്ക്കും നിന്റെ ശേഷം നിന്റെ സന്തതിക്കും മദ്ധ്യേയുള്ളതും നിങ്ങള് പ്രമാണിക്കേണ്ടതുമായ എന്റെ നിയമം ആവിതുനിങ്ങളില് പുരുഷപ്രജയൊക്കെയും പരിച്ഛേദന ഏല്ക്കേണം.

14. അഗ്രചര്മ്മിയായ പുരുഷപ്രജയെ പരിച്ഛേദന ഏല്ക്കാതിരുന്നാല് ജനത്തില് നിന്നു ഛേദിച്ചുകളയേണം; അവന് എന്റെ നിയമം ലംഘിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

17. അപ്പോള് അബ്രാഹാം കവിണ്ണുവീണു ചിരിച്ചുനൂറു വയസ്സുള്ളവന്നു മകന് ജനിക്കുമോ? തൊണ്ണൂറു വയസ്സുള്ള സാറാ പ്രസവിക്കുമോ? എന്നു തന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തില് പറഞ്ഞു.

19. അതിന്നു ദൈവം അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതുഅല്ല, നിന്റെ ഭാര്യയായ സാറാ തന്നേ നിനക്കൊരു മകനെ പ്രസവിക്കും; നീ അവന്നു യിസ്ഹാക് എന്നു പേരിടേണം; ഞാന് അവനോടു അവന്റെ ശേഷം അവന്റെ സന്തതിയോടും എന്റെ നിയമത്തെ നിത്യനിയമമായി ഉറപ്പിക്കും

20. യിശ്മായേലിനെ കുറിച്ചും ഞാന് നിന്റെ അപേക്ഷ കേട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു; ഞാന് അവനെ അനുഗ്രഹിച്ചു അത്യന്തം സന്താനപുഷ്ടിയുള്ളവനാക്കി വര്ദ്ധിപ്പിക്കും. അവന് പന്ത്രണ്ടു പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരെ ജനിപ്പിക്കും; ഞാന് അവനെ വലിയോരു ജാതിയാക്കും.

20. And as concernynge Ismaell also I haue herde thy request: loo I will blesse him and encrease him and multiplye him excedyingly. Twelve prynces shall be begete and I will make a great nation of him.

21. എന്റെ നിയമം ഞാന് ഉറപ്പിക്കുന്നതോ, ഇനിയത്തെ ആണ്ടു ഈ സമയത്തു സാറാ നിനക്കു പ്രസവിപ്പാനുള്ള യിസ്ഹാക്കിനോടു ആകുന്നു.

21. But my bonde will I make with Isaac which Sara shall bere vnto the: even this tyme twelue moneth.

22. ദൈവം അബ്രാഹാമിനോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു തീര്ന്നശേഷം അവനെ വിട്ടു കയറിപ്പോയി.

22. And God left of talkynge with him and departed vp from Abraham.

23. അനന്തരം അബ്രാഹാം തന്റെ മകനായ യിശ്മായേലിനെയും തന്റെ വീട്ടില് ജനിച്ച സകല ദാസന്മാരെയും താന് വിലകൂ വാങ്ങിയവരെ ഒക്കെയും അബ്രാഹാമിന്റെ വീട്ടിലുള്ള സകല പുരുഷന്മാരെയും കൂട്ടി ദൈവം തന്നോടു കല്പിച്ചതുപോലെ അവരുടെ അഗ്രചര്മ്മത്തെ അന്നുതന്നേ പരിച്ഛേദന കഴിച്ചു.

23. And Abraham toke Ismaell his sonne and all the servauntes borne in his housse and all that was bought with money as many as were menchildren amonge the me of Abrahas housse and circumcysed the foreskynne of their flesh even the selfe same daye as God had sayde vnto him.

24. അബ്രാഹാം പരിച്ഛേദനയേറ്റപ്പോള് അവന്നു തൊണ്ണൂറ്റെമ്പതു വയസ്സായിരുന്നു.

24. Abraham was nynetie yere olde and .ix. when he cutt of the foreskynne of his flesh.

25. അവന്റെ മകനായ യിശ്മായേല് പരിച്ഛേദനയേറ്റപ്പോള് അവന്നു പതിമൂന്നു വയസ്സായിരുന്നു.

25. And Ismaell his sonne was .xiij. yere olde when the foreskynne of hys flesh was circumcysed.

26. അബ്രാഹാമും അവന്റെ മകനായ യിശ്മായേലും ഒരേ ദിവസത്തില്പരിച്ഛേദന ഏറ്റു.

26. The selfe same daye was Abraha circucised and Ismael his sonne.

27. വീട്ടില് ജനിച്ച ദാസന്മാരും അന്യരോടു അവന് വിലെക്കു വാങ്ങിയവരുമായി അവന്റെ വീട്ടിലുള്ളവര് എല്ലാവരും അവനോടുകൂടെ പരിച്ഛേദന ഏറ്റു.

27. And all the men in his housse whether they were borne in his housse or bought wyth money (though they were straungers) were circumcysed with him.
