1. അബ്രാമിന്നു തൊണ്ണൂറ്റൊമ്പതു വയസ്സായപ്പോള് യഹോവ അബ്രാമിന്നു പ്രത്യക്ഷനായി അവനോടുഞാന് സര്വ്വശക്തിയുള്ള ദൈവം ആകന്നു; നീ എന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ നടന്നു നിഷ്കളങ്കനായിരിക്ക.

1. And when Abram was ninety nine years old, Jehovah appeared to Abram and said to him, I am the Almighty God! Walk before me and be perfect;

2. എനിക്കും നിനക്കും മദ്ധ്യേ ഞാന് എന്റെ നിയമം സ്ഥാപിക്കും; നിന്നെ അധികമധികമായി വര്ദ്ധിപ്പിക്കും എന്നു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു.

2. and I will make My covenant between Me and you, and will multiply you very much.

3. അപ്പോള് അബ്രാം സാഷ്ടാംഗം വീണു; ദൈവം അവനോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതെന്തെന്നാല്

3. And Abram fell on his face. And God spoke with him, saying,

4. എനിക്കു നിന്നോടു ഒരു നിയമമുണ്ടു; നീ ബഹുജാതികള്ക്കു പിതാവാകും;

4. As for Me, behold, My covenant is with you, and you shall be a father of many nations.

5. ഇനി നിന്നെ അബ്രാം എന്നല്ല വിളിക്കേണ്ടതു; ഞാന് നിന്നെ ബഹു ജാതികള്ക്കു പിതാവാക്കിയിരിക്കയാല് നിന്റെ പേര് അബ്രാഹാം എന്നിരിക്കേണം.

5. And your name no longer shall be called Abram, but your name shall be Abraham. For I have made you a father of many nations.

6. ഞാന് നിന്നെ അധികമധികമായി വര്ദ്ധിപ്പിച്ചു, അനേകജാതികളാക്കും; നിന്നില് നിന്നു രാജാക്കന്മാരും ഉത്ഭവിക്കും.

6. And I will make you very fruitful, exceedingly. And I will give you for nations. And kings shall come out of you.

7. ഞാന് നിനക്കും നിന്റെ ശേഷം നിന്റെ സന്തതിക്കും ദൈവമായിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഞാന് എനിക്കും നിനക്കും നിന്റെ ശേഷം തലമുറതലമുറയായി നിന്റെ സന്തതിക്കും മദ്ധ്യേ എന്റെ നിയമത്തെ നിത്യനിയമമായി സ്ഥാപിക്കും.

7. And I will establish My covenant between Me and you, and your seed after you in their generations, for an everlasting covenant, to be a God to you and to your seed after you.

8. ഞാന് നിനക്കും നിന്റെ ശേഷം നിന്റെ സന്തതിക്കും നീ പ്രവാസം ചെയ്യുന്ന ദേശമായ കനാന് ദേശം ഒക്കെയും ശാശ്വതാവകാശമായി തരും; ഞാന് അവര്ക്കും ദൈവമായുമിരിക്കും.

8. And I will give to you and to your seed after you the land of your sojourning, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession and I will be their God.

9. ദൈവം പിന്നെയും അബ്രാഹാമിനോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതുനീയും നിന്റെശേഷം തലമുറതലമുറയായി നിന്റെ സന്തതിയും എന്റെ നിയമം പ്രമാണിക്കേണം.

9. And God said to Abraham, You shall keep My covenant, you and your seed after you in their generations.

10. എനിക്കും നിങ്ങള്ക്കും നിന്റെ ശേഷം നിന്റെ സന്തതിക്കും മദ്ധ്യേയുള്ളതും നിങ്ങള് പ്രമാണിക്കേണ്ടതുമായ എന്റെ നിയമം ആവിതുനിങ്ങളില് പുരുഷപ്രജയൊക്കെയും പരിച്ഛേദന ഏല്ക്കേണം.

10. This is My covenant which you shall keep, between Me and you and your seed after you: Every male child among you shall be circumcised.

11. നിങ്ങളുടെ അഗ്രചര്മ്മം പരിച്ഛേദന ചെയ്യേണം; അതു എനിക്കും നിങ്ങള്ക്കും മദ്ധ്യേയുള്ള നിയമത്തിന്റെ അടയാളം ആകും.

11. And you shall circumcise the flesh of your foreskin. And it shall be a token of the covenant between Me and you.

12. തലമുറതലമുറയായി നിങ്ങളില് പുരുഷപ്രജയൊക്കെയും എട്ടുദിവസം പ്രായമാകുമ്പോള് പരിച്ഛേദനഏല്ക്കേണം; വീട്ടില് ജനിച്ച ദാസനായാലും നിന്റെ സന്തതിയല്ലാത്തവനായി അന്യനോടുവിലകൂ വാങ്ങിയവനായാലും ശരി.

12. And a son of eight days shall be circumcised among you, every male in your generation, he that is born in the house, or bought with silver from any son of a foreigner who is not of your seed.

13. നിന്റെ വീട്ടില് ജനിച്ച ദാസനും നീ വിലകൊടുത്തു വാങ്ങിയവനും പരിച്ഛേദന ഏറ്റേകഴിയൂ; എന്റെ നിയമം നിങ്ങളുടെ ദേഹത്തില് നിത്യനിയമമായിരിക്കേണം.

13. The child of your house and the purchase of your money circumcising must be circumcised. And My covenant shall be in your flesh for a perpetual covenant.

14. അഗ്രചര്മ്മിയായ പുരുഷപ്രജയെ പരിച്ഛേദന ഏല്ക്കാതിരുന്നാല് ജനത്തില് നിന്നു ഛേദിച്ചുകളയേണം; അവന് എന്റെ നിയമം ലംഘിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

14. And an uncircumcised male who is not circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin, his soul shall be cut off from his people; he has broken My covenant.

15. ദൈവം പിന്നെയും അബ്രാഹാമിനോടുനിന്റെ ഭാര്യയായ സാറായിയെ സാറായി എന്നല്ല വിളിക്കേണ്ടതു; അവളുടെ പേര് സാറാ എന്നു ഇരിക്കേണം.

15. And God said to Abraham, You shall not call your wife Sarai by her name Sarai, for Sarah shall be her name;

16. ഞാന് അവളെ അനുഗ്രഹിച്ചു അവളില്നിന്നു നിനക്കു ഒരു മകനെ തരും; ഞാന് അവളെ അനുഗ്രഹിക്കയും അവള് ജാതികള്ക്കു മാതാവായി തീരുകയും ജാതികളുടെ രാജാക്കന്മാര് അവളില്നിന്നു ഉത്ഭവിക്കയും ചെയ്യും എന്നു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു.

16. and I have blessed her and have also given to you a son from her. Yea, I have blessed her and she shall become nations; kings of people shall be from her.

17. അപ്പോള് അബ്രാഹാം കവിണ്ണുവീണു ചിരിച്ചുനൂറു വയസ്സുള്ളവന്നു മകന് ജനിക്കുമോ? തൊണ്ണൂറു വയസ്സുള്ള സാറാ പ്രസവിക്കുമോ? എന്നു തന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തില് പറഞ്ഞു.

17. And Abraham fell on his face and laughed. And he said in his heart, Shall one be born to a son of a hundred years? And shall Sarah bear, a daughter of ninety years?

18. യിശ്മായേല് നിന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ ജീവിച്ചിരുന്നാല്മതി എന്നു അബ്രാഹാം ദൈവത്തോടു പറഞ്ഞു.

18. And Abraham said to God, Oh that Ishmael might live before You!

19. അതിന്നു ദൈവം അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതുഅല്ല, നിന്റെ ഭാര്യയായ സാറാ തന്നേ നിനക്കൊരു മകനെ പ്രസവിക്കും; നീ അവന്നു യിസ്ഹാക് എന്നു പേരിടേണം; ഞാന് അവനോടു അവന്റെ ശേഷം അവന്റെ സന്തതിയോടും എന്റെ നിയമത്തെ നിത്യനിയമമായി ഉറപ്പിക്കും
എബ്രായർ 11:11

19. And God said, Your wife Sarah truly shall bear you a son, and you shall call his name Isaac. And I have established My covenant with him for a perpetual covenant with his seed after him.

20. യിശ്മായേലിനെ കുറിച്ചും ഞാന് നിന്റെ അപേക്ഷ കേട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു; ഞാന് അവനെ അനുഗ്രഹിച്ചു അത്യന്തം സന്താനപുഷ്ടിയുള്ളവനാക്കി വര്ദ്ധിപ്പിക്കും. അവന് പന്ത്രണ്ടു പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരെ ജനിപ്പിക്കും; ഞാന് അവനെ വലിയോരു ജാതിയാക്കും.

20. And as to Ishmael, I have heard you. Behold, I have blessed him and will make him fruitful and will multiply him exceedingly. He shall father twelve chiefs, and I will make him a great nation.

21. എന്റെ നിയമം ഞാന് ഉറപ്പിക്കുന്നതോ, ഇനിയത്തെ ആണ്ടു ഈ സമയത്തു സാറാ നിനക്കു പ്രസവിപ്പാനുള്ള യിസ്ഹാക്കിനോടു ആകുന്നു.

21. And I will establish My covenant with Isaac, whom Sarah shall bear to you at this time next year.

22. ദൈവം അബ്രാഹാമിനോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു തീര്ന്നശേഷം അവനെ വിട്ടു കയറിപ്പോയി.

22. And He finished talking with him. And God went up from Abraham.

23. അനന്തരം അബ്രാഹാം തന്റെ മകനായ യിശ്മായേലിനെയും തന്റെ വീട്ടില് ജനിച്ച സകല ദാസന്മാരെയും താന് വിലകൂ വാങ്ങിയവരെ ഒക്കെയും അബ്രാഹാമിന്റെ വീട്ടിലുള്ള സകല പുരുഷന്മാരെയും കൂട്ടി ദൈവം തന്നോടു കല്പിച്ചതുപോലെ അവരുടെ അഗ്രചര്മ്മത്തെ അന്നുതന്നേ പരിച്ഛേദന കഴിച്ചു.

23. And Abraham took his son Ishmael, and all the ones born of his house, and all that were bought with his silver, every male among the men of the house of Abraham. And he circumcised the flesh of their foreskins in that same day, even as God spoke to him.

24. അബ്രാഹാം പരിച്ഛേദനയേറ്റപ്പോള് അവന്നു തൊണ്ണൂറ്റെമ്പതു വയസ്സായിരുന്നു.

24. And Abraham was a son of ninety nine years when being circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin.

25. അവന്റെ മകനായ യിശ്മായേല് പരിച്ഛേദനയേറ്റപ്പോള് അവന്നു പതിമൂന്നു വയസ്സായിരുന്നു.

25. And his son Ishmael was a son of thirteen years when being circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin.

26. അബ്രാഹാമും അവന്റെ മകനായ യിശ്മായേലും ഒരേ ദിവസത്തില്പരിച്ഛേദന ഏറ്റു.

26. In the same day that Abraham was circumcised, Ishmael his son also was.

27. വീട്ടില് ജനിച്ച ദാസന്മാരും അന്യരോടു അവന് വിലെക്കു വാങ്ങിയവരുമായി അവന്റെ വീട്ടിലുള്ളവര് എല്ലാവരും അവനോടുകൂടെ പരിച്ഛേദന ഏറ്റു.

27. And all the men of his house, born in the house or bought with silver from a son of a foreigner, were circumcised with him.
