1. യഹോവ പിന്നെയും ഇയ്യോബിനോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതു എന്തെന്നാല്

1. Then the Lord said to Job,

2. ആക്ഷേപകന് സര്വ്വശക്തനോടു വാദിക്കുമോ? ദൈവത്തോടു തര്ക്കിക്കുന്നവന് ഇതിന്നു ഉത്തരം പറയട്ടെ.

2. You wanted to argue with God All-Powerful. You wanted to correct me and prove that I was wrong. So give me your answer!'

3. അതിന്നു ഇയ്യോബ് യഹോവയോടു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞതു

3. Then Job answered the Lord:

4. ഞാന് നിസ്സാരനല്ലോ, ഞാന് നിന്നോടു എന്തുത്തരം പറയേണ്ടു? ഞാന് കൈകൊണ്ടു വായി പൊത്തിക്കൊള്ളുന്നു.

4. 'I am not worthy to speak! What can I say to you? I cannot answer you! I will put my hand over my mouth.

5. ഒരുവട്ടം ഞാന് സംസാരിച്ചു; ഇനി ഉത്തരം പറകയില്ല. രണ്ടുവട്ടം ഞാന് ഉരചെയ്തു; ഇനി മിണ്ടുകയില്ല.

5. I spoke once, but I will not speak again. I spoke twice, but I will not say anything more.'

6. അപ്പോള് യഹോവ ചുഴലിക്കാറ്റില്നിന്നു ഇയ്യോബിനോടു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞതെന്തെന്നാല്

6. Then the Lord spoke to Job again from the storm:

7. നീ പുരുഷനെപ്പോലെ അര മുറുക്കിക്കൊള്ക; ഞാന് നിന്നോടു ചോദിക്കും; നീ എനിക്കു ഗ്രഹിപ്പിച്ചുതരിക.

7. Brace yourself and get ready to answer the questions I will ask you.

8. നീ എന്റെ ന്യായത്തെ ദുര്ബ്ബലപ്പെടുത്തുമോ? നീ നീതിമാനാകേണ്ടതിന്നു എന്നെ കുറ്റം പറയുമോ?

8. Are you trying to show that I am unfair? Are you trying to look innocent by saying that I am guilty?

9. ദൈവത്തിന്നുള്ളതുപോലെ നിനക്കു ഭുജം ഉണ്ടോ? അവനെപ്പോലെ നിനക്കു ഇടിമുഴക്കാമോ?

9. Are your arms as strong as mine? Do you have a voice like mine that is as loud as thunder?

10. നീ മഹിമയും പ്രതാപവും അണിഞ്ഞുകൊള്ക. തേജസ്സും പ്രഭാവവും ധരിച്ചുകൊള്ക.

10. If so, you can be proud and wear glory and honor like clothes.

11. നിന്റെ കോപപ്രവാഹങ്ങളെ ഒഴുക്കുക; ഏതു ഗര്വ്വിയെയും നോക്കി താഴ്ത്തുക.

11. If you are as powerful as God, then show your anger! Punish those who are proud and humble them.

12. ഏതു ഗര്വ്വിയെയും നോക്കി കവിഴ്ത്തുക; ദുഷ്ടന്മാരെ അവരുടെ നിലയില് തന്നേ വീഴ്ത്തിക്കളക.

12. Yes, just look at the proud and make them humble. Crush those evil people where they stand.

13. അവരെ ഒക്കെയും പൊടിയില് മറെച്ചുവെക്കുക; അവരുടെ മുഖങ്ങളെ മറവിടത്തു ബന്ധിച്ചുകളക.

13. Bury them all in the dirt. Wrap their bodies up and put them in their graves.

14. അപ്പോള് നിന്റെ വലങ്കൈ നിന്നെ രക്ഷിക്കുന്നു എന്നു ഞാനും നിന്നെ ശ്ളാഘിച്ചു പറയും.

14. If you can do any of these things, then even I will praise you. And I will admit that you can save yourself by your own power.

15. ഞാന് നിന്നെപ്പോലെ ഉണ്ടാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്ന നദീഹയമുണ്ടല്ലോ; അതു കാളയെപ്പോലെ പുല്ലുതിന്നുന്നു.

15. 'Look at the behemoth. I made the behemoth, and I made you. He eats grass like a cow.

16. അതിന്റെ ശക്തി അതിന്റെ കടിപ്രദേശത്തും അതിന്റെ ബലം വയറ്റിന്റെ മാംസപേശികളിലും ആകുന്നു.

16. But he has great strength in his body. The muscles in his stomach are powerful.

17. ദേവദാരുതുല്യമായ തന്റെ വാല് അതു ആട്ടുന്നു; അതിന്റെ തുടയിലെ ഞരമ്പുകള് കൂടി പിണഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു.

17. His tail stands strong like a cedar tree. His leg muscles are very strong.

18. അതിന്റെ അസ്ഥികള് ചെമ്പുകുഴല്പോലെയും എല്ലുകള് ഇരിമ്പഴിപോലെയും ഇരിക്കുന്നു.

18. His bones are as strong as bronze. His legs are like iron bars.

19. അതു ദൈവത്തിന്റെ സൃഷ്ടികളില് പ്രധാനമായുള്ളതു; അതിനെ ഉണ്ടാക്കിയവന് അതിന്നു ഒരു വാള് കൊടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു.

19. The behemoth is the most amazing animal I made, but I can defeat him.

20. കാട്ടുമൃഗങ്ങളൊക്കെയും കളിക്കുന്നിടമായ പര്വ്വതങ്ങള് അതിന്നു തീന് വിളയിക്കുന്നു.

20. He eats the grass that grows on the hills where the wild animals play.

21. അതു നീര്മരുതിന്റെ ചുവട്ടിലും ഞാങ്ങണയുടെ മറവിലും ചതുപ്പുനിലത്തും കിടക്കുന്നു.

21. He lies under the lotus plants. He hides among the reeds of the swamp.

22. നീര്മരുതു നിഴല്കൊണ്ടു അതിനെ മറെക്കുന്നു; തോട്ടിങ്കലെ അലരി അതിനെ ചുറ്റി നിലക്കുന്നു;

22. The lotus plants hide him in their shade. He lives under the willow trees that grow near the river.

23. നദി കവിഞ്ഞൊഴുകിയാലും അതു ഭ്രമിക്കുന്നില്ല; യോര്ദ്ദാന് അതിന്റെ വായിലേക്കു ചാടിയാലും അതു നിര്ഭയമായിരിക്കും.

23. If the river floods, the behemoth will not run away. He is not afraid if the Jordan River splashes on his face.

24. അതു നോക്കിക്കൊണ്ടിരിക്കെ അതിനെ പിടിക്കാമോ? അതിന്റെ മൂക്കില് കയര് കോര്ക്കാമോ?

24. No one can blind his eyes and capture him. No one can catch him in a trap.
