1. ജ്ഞാനമായവള് വിളിച്ചുപറയുന്നില്ലയോ? ബുദ്ധിയായവള് തന്റെ സ്വരം കേള്പ്പിക്കുന്നില്ലയോ?

1. Doth not, wisdom, cry aloud? and, understanding, send forth her voice?

2. അവള് വഴിയരികെ മേടുകളുടെ മുകളില് പാതകള് കൂടുന്നേടത്തു നിലക്കുന്നു.

2. At the top of the high places above the way, at the place where paths meet, she taketh her stand:

3. അവള് പടിവാതിലുകളുടെ അരികത്തും പട്ടണവാതില്ക്കലും ഗോപുരദ്വാരത്തിങ്കലും ഘോഷിക്കുന്നതു

3. Beside the gates, at the entrance of the city, at the going in of the openings, she shouteth:

4. പുരുഷന്മാരേ, ഞാന് നിങ്ങളോടു വിളിച്ചു പറയുന്നു; എന്റെ സ്വരം മനുഷ്യപുത്രന്മാരുടെ അടുക്കലേക്കു വരുന്നു.

4. Unto you, O men, I call, and, my voice, is unto the sons of men;

5. അല്പബുദ്ധികളേ, സൂക്ഷ്മബുദ്ധി ഗ്രഹിച്ചുകൊള്വിന് ; മൂഢന്മാരേ, വിവേകഹൃദയന്മാരാകുവിന് .

5. Understand, ye simple ones, shrewdness, and, ye dullards understand sense;

6. കേള്പ്പിന് , ഞാന് ഉല്കൃഷ്ടമായതു സംസാരിക്കും; എന്റെ അധരങ്ങളെ തുറക്കുന്നതു നേരിന്നു ആയിരിക്കും.

6. Hear, for, princely things, will I speak, and the opening of my lips shall be of equity;

7. എന്റെ വായ് സത്യം സംസാരിക്കും; ദുഷ്ടത എന്റെ അധരങ്ങള്ക്കു അറെപ്പാകുന്നു.

7. For, faithfulness, shall my mouth softly utter, but, the abomination of my lips, shall be lawlessness;

8. എന്റെ വായിലെ മൊഴി ഒക്കെയും നീതിയാകുന്നു; അവയില് വക്രവും വികടവുമായതു ഒന്നുമില്ല.

8. In righteousness, shall be all the sayings of my mouth, nothing therein, shall be crafty or perverse;

9. അവയെല്ലാം ബുദ്ധിമാന്നു തെളിവും പരിജ്ഞാനം ലഭിച്ചവര്ക്കും നേരും ആകുന്നു.

9. All of them, shall be plain, to them who would understand, and just, to such as would gain knowledge.

10. വെള്ളിയെക്കാള് എന്റെ പ്രബോധനവും മേത്തരമായ പൊന്നിനെക്കാള് പരിജ്ഞാനവും കൈക്കൊള്വിന് .

10. Receive my correction, and not silver, and knowledge, rather than choicest gold.

11. ജ്ഞാനം മുത്തുകളെക്കാള് നല്ലതാകുന്നു; മനോഹരമായതൊന്നും അതിന്നു തുല്യമാകയില്ല.

11. For better is wisdom, than ornaments of coral, and, no delightful things, can equal her.

12. ജ്ഞാനം എന്ന ഞാന് സൂക്ഷ്മബുദ്ധിയെ എന്റെ പാര്പ്പിടമാക്കുന്നു; പരിജ്ഞാനവും വകതിരിവും ഞാന് കണ്ടു പിടിക്കുന്നു.

12. I, wisdom, inhabit shrewdness, and, the knowledge of sagacious things, I gain.

13. യഹോവാഭക്തി ദോഷത്തെ വെറുക്കുന്നതാകുന്നു; ഡംഭം, അഹങ്കാരം, ദുര്മ്മാര്ഗ്ഗം, വക്രതയുള്ള വായ് എന്നിവയെ ഞാന് പകെക്കുന്നു.

13. The reverence of Yahweh, is to hate wickedness: pride, arrogance, and the way of wickedness; And a mouth of perverse things, do I hate.

14. ആലോചനയും പരിജ്ഞാനവും എനിക്കുള്ളതു; ഞാന് തന്നേ വിവേകം; എനിക്കു വീര്യബലം ഉണ്ടു.

14. Mine, are counsel, and effective working, I, am understanding, mine, is valour:

15. ഞാന് മുഖാന്തരം രാജാക്കന്മാര് വാഴുന്നു; പ്രഭുക്കന്മാര് നീതിയെ നടത്തുന്നു.
റോമർ 13:1

15. By me, kings reign, and dignitaries decree righteousness;

16. ഞാന് മുഖാന്തരം അധിപതിമാരും പ്രധാനികളും ഭൂമിയിലെ ന്യായാധിപന്മാരൊക്കെയും ആധിപത്യം നടത്തുന്നു.

16. By me, rulers govern, and nobles all the righteous judges:

17. എന്നെ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നവരെ ഞാന് സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നു; എന്നെ ജാഗ്രതയോടെ അന്വേഷിക്കുന്നവര് എന്നെ കണ്ടെത്തും.

17. I love, them who love me, and, they who diligently seek me, find me:

18. എന്റെ പക്കല് ധനവും മാനവും പുരാതനസമ്പത്തും നീതിയും ഉണ്ടു.

18. Riches and honour, are with me, lordly wealth, and righteousness;

19. എന്റെ ഫലം പൊന്നിലും തങ്കത്തിലും എന്റെ ആദായം മേത്തരമായ വെള്ളിയിലും നല്ലതു.

19. Better is my fruit, than gold yea fine gold, and mine increase, than choice silver;

20. എന്നെ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നവര്ക്കും വസ്തുവക അവകാശമാക്കിക്കൊടുക്കയും അവരുടെ ഭണ്ഡാരങ്ങളെ നിറെക്കയും ചെയ്യേണ്ടതിന്നു

20. In the way of righteousness, I march along, in the middle of the paths of justice:

21. ഞാന് നീതിയുടെ മാര്ഗ്ഗത്തിലും ന്യായത്തിന്റെ പാതകളിലും നടക്കുന്നു.

21. That I may cause them who love me to inherit substance, and, their treasuries, I may fill.

22. യഹോവ പണ്ടുപണ്ടേ തന്റെ വഴിയുടെ ആരംഭമായി, തന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തികളുടെ ആദ്യമായി എന്നെ ഉളവാക്കി.

22. Yahweh, had constituted me the beginning of his way, before his works, at the commencement of that time;

23. ഞാന് പുരാതനമേ, ആദിയില് തന്നേ, ഭൂമിയുടെ ഉല്പത്തിക്കു മുമ്പെ നിയമിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.

23. At the outset of the ages, had I been established, in advance of the antiquities of the earth;

24. ആഴങ്ങള് ഇല്ലാതിരുന്നപ്പോള് ഞാന് ജനിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; വെള്ളം നിറഞ്ഞ ഉറവുകള് ഇല്ലാതിരുന്നപ്പോള് തന്നേ.

24. When there was no resounding deep, I had been brought forth, when there were no fountains, abounding with water;

25. പര്വ്വതങ്ങളെ സ്ഥാപിച്ചതിന്നു മുമ്പെയും കുന്നുകള്ക്കു മുമ്പെയും ഞാന് ജനിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

25. Ere yet the mountains had been settled, before the hills, had I been brought forth;

26. അവന് ഭൂമിയെയും വയലുകളെയും ഭൂതലത്തിന്റെ പൊടിയുടെ തുകയെയും ഉണ്ടാക്കീട്ടില്ലാത്ത സമയത്തു തന്നേ.

26. Or ever he had made the land and the wastes, or the top of the dry parts of the world:

27. അവന് ആകാശത്തെ ഉറപ്പിച്ചപ്പോള് ഞാന് അവിടെ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; അവന് ആഴത്തിന്റെ ഉപരിഭാഗത്തു വൃത്തം വരെച്ചപ്പോഴും

27. When he prepared the heavens, there, was I! When he decreed a vault upon the face of the resounding deep;

28. അവന് മീതെ മേഘങ്ങളെ ഉറപ്പിച്ചപ്പോഴും ആഴത്തിന്റെ ഉറവുകള് തടിച്ചപ്പോഴും

28. When he made firm the skies above, when the fountains of the resounding deep, waxed strong;

29. വെള്ളം അവന്റെ കല്പനയെ അതിക്രമിക്കാതവണ്ണം അവന് സമുദ്രത്തിന്നു അതിര് വെച്ചപ്പോഴും ഭൂമിയുടെ അടിസ്ഥാനം ഇട്ടപ്പോഴും

29. When he fixed for the sea its bound, that, the waters, should not go beyond his bidding, when he decreed the foundations of the earth:

30. ഞാന് അവന്റെ അടുക്കല് ശില്പി ആയിരുന്നു; ഇടവിടാതെ അവന്റെ മുമ്പില് വിനോദിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു ദിനംപ്രതി അവന്റെ പ്രമോദമായിരുന്നു.

30. Then became I beside him, a firm and sure worker, then became I filled with delight, day by day, exulting before him on every occasion;

31. അവന്റെ ഭൂതലത്തില് ഞാന് വിനോദിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നു; എന്റെ പ്രമോദം മനുഷ്യപുത്രന്മാരോടുകൂടെ ആയിരുന്നു.

31. Exulting in the fruitful land of his earth, Yea, my fulness of delight, was with the sons of men.

32. ആകയാല് മക്കളേ, എന്റെ വാക്കു കേട്ടുകൊള്വിന് ; എന്റെ വഴികളെ പ്രമാണിക്കുന്നവര് ഭാഗ്യവാന്മാര്.

32. Now, therefore, ye sons, hearken to me, for how happy are they who, to my ways, pay regard!

33. പ്രബോധനം കേട്ടു ബുദ്ധിമാന്മാരായിരിപ്പിന് ; അതിനെ ത്യജിച്ചുകളയരുതു.

33. Hear ye correction, and be wise, and do not neglect.

34. ദിവസംപ്രതി എന്റെ പടിവാതില്ക്കല് ജാഗരിച്ചും എന്റെ വാതില്ക്കട്ടളെക്കല് കാത്തുകൊണ്ടും എന്റെ വാക്കു കേട്ടനുസരിക്കുന്ന മനുഷ്യന് ഭാഗ്യവാന് .

34. How happy the man that doth hearken to me, keeping guard at my doors, day by day, watching at the posts of my gates;

35. എന്നെ കണ്ടെത്തുന്നവന് ജീവനെ കണ്ടെത്തുന്നു; അവന് യഹോവയുടെ കടാക്ഷം പ്രാപിക്കുന്നു.

35. For, he that findeth me, findeth life, and hath obtained favour from Yahweh;

36. എന്നോടു പിഴെക്കുന്നവനോ തനിക്കു പ്രാണഹാനി വരുത്തുന്നു; എന്നെ ദ്വേഷിക്കുന്നവരൊക്കെയും മരണത്തെ ഇച്ഛിക്കുന്നു.

36. But, he that misseth me, wrongeth his own soul, all who hate me, love death.
