1. ജ്ഞാനമായവള് വിളിച്ചുപറയുന്നില്ലയോ? ബുദ്ധിയായവള് തന്റെ സ്വരം കേള്പ്പിക്കുന്നില്ലയോ?

1. You shall proclaim wisdom, that understanding may be obedient to you.

2. അവള് വഴിയരികെ മേടുകളുടെ മുകളില് പാതകള് കൂടുന്നേടത്തു നിലക്കുന്നു.

2. For she is on lofty heights, and stands in the midst of the ways.

3. അവള് പടിവാതിലുകളുടെ അരികത്തും പട്ടണവാതില്ക്കലും ഗോപുരദ്വാരത്തിങ്കലും ഘോഷിക്കുന്നതു

3. For she sits by the gates of princes, and sings in the entrances, [saying],

4. പുരുഷന്മാരേ, ഞാന് നിങ്ങളോടു വിളിച്ചു പറയുന്നു; എന്റെ സ്വരം മനുഷ്യപുത്രന്മാരുടെ അടുക്കലേക്കു വരുന്നു.

4. You, O men, I exhort; and utter my voice to the sons of men.

5. അല്പബുദ്ധികളേ, സൂക്ഷ്മബുദ്ധി ഗ്രഹിച്ചുകൊള്വിന് ; മൂഢന്മാരേ, വിവേകഹൃദയന്മാരാകുവിന് .

5. O you simple, understand prudence, and you that are untaught, take in knowledge.

6. കേള്പ്പിന് , ഞാന് ഉല്കൃഷ്ടമായതു സംസാരിക്കും; എന്റെ അധരങ്ങളെ തുറക്കുന്നതു നേരിന്നു ആയിരിക്കും.

6. Listen to me, for I will speak solemn [truths]; and I will produce right [sayings] from my lips.

7. എന്റെ വായ് സത്യം സംസാരിക്കും; ദുഷ്ടത എന്റെ അധരങ്ങള്ക്കു അറെപ്പാകുന്നു.

7. For my mouth shall meditate truth, and false lips are an abomination before me.

8. എന്റെ വായിലെ മൊഴി ഒക്കെയും നീതിയാകുന്നു; അവയില് വക്രവും വികടവുമായതു ഒന്നുമില്ല.

8. All the words of my mouth are in righteousness; there is nothing in them wrong or perverse.

9. അവയെല്ലാം ബുദ്ധിമാന്നു തെളിവും പരിജ്ഞാനം ലഭിച്ചവര്ക്കും നേരും ആകുന്നു.

9. They are all evident to those that understand, and right to those that find knowledge.

10. വെള്ളിയെക്കാള് എന്റെ പ്രബോധനവും മേത്തരമായ പൊന്നിനെക്കാള് പരിജ്ഞാനവും കൈക്കൊള്വിന് .

10. Receive instruction, and not silver; and knowledge rather than choice gold.

11. ജ്ഞാനം മുത്തുകളെക്കാള് നല്ലതാകുന്നു; മനോഹരമായതൊന്നും അതിന്നു തുല്യമാകയില്ല.

11. For wisdom is better than precious stones; and no valuable substance is of equal worth with it.

12. ജ്ഞാനം എന്ന ഞാന് സൂക്ഷ്മബുദ്ധിയെ എന്റെ പാര്പ്പിടമാക്കുന്നു; പരിജ്ഞാനവും വകതിരിവും ഞാന് കണ്ടു പിടിക്കുന്നു.

12. I, wisdom, have dwelt [with] counsel and knowledge, and I have called upon understanding.

13. യഹോവാഭക്തി ദോഷത്തെ വെറുക്കുന്നതാകുന്നു; ഡംഭം, അഹങ്കാരം, ദുര്മ്മാര്ഗ്ഗം, വക്രതയുള്ള വായ് എന്നിവയെ ഞാന് പകെക്കുന്നു.

13. The fear of the Lord hates unrighteousness, insolence, pride, and the ways of wicked men; and I hate the perverse ways of bad men.

14. ആലോചനയും പരിജ്ഞാനവും എനിക്കുള്ളതു; ഞാന് തന്നേ വിവേകം; എനിക്കു വീര്യബലം ഉണ്ടു.

14. Counsel and safety are mine; prudence is mine, and strength is mine.

15. ഞാന് മുഖാന്തരം രാജാക്കന്മാര് വാഴുന്നു; പ്രഭുക്കന്മാര് നീതിയെ നടത്തുന്നു.
റോമർ 13:1

15. By me kings reign, and princes decree justice.

16. ഞാന് മുഖാന്തരം അധിപതിമാരും പ്രധാനികളും ഭൂമിയിലെ ന്യായാധിപന്മാരൊക്കെയും ആധിപത്യം നടത്തുന്നു.

16. By me nobles become great, and monarchs by me rule over the earth.

17. എന്നെ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നവരെ ഞാന് സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നു; എന്നെ ജാഗ്രതയോടെ അന്വേഷിക്കുന്നവര് എന്നെ കണ്ടെത്തും.

17. I love those that love me, and they that seek me shall find me.

18. എന്റെ പക്കല് ധനവും മാനവും പുരാതനസമ്പത്തും നീതിയും ഉണ്ടു.

18. Wealth and glory belong to me; yea, abundant possessions and righteousness.

19. എന്റെ ഫലം പൊന്നിലും തങ്കത്തിലും എന്റെ ആദായം മേത്തരമായ വെള്ളിയിലും നല്ലതു.

19. [It is] better to have my fruit than [to have] gold and precious stones; and my produce is better than choice silver.

20. എന്നെ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നവര്ക്കും വസ്തുവക അവകാശമാക്കിക്കൊടുക്കയും അവരുടെ ഭണ്ഡാരങ്ങളെ നിറെക്കയും ചെയ്യേണ്ടതിന്നു

20. I walk in ways of righteousness, in the midst of the paths of judgment;

21. ഞാന് നീതിയുടെ മാര്ഗ്ഗത്തിലും ന്യായത്തിന്റെ പാതകളിലും നടക്കുന്നു.

21. that I may divide substance to them that love me, and may fill their treasures with good things. [ 8:21A] If I declare to you the things that happen daily, I will remember also to recount the things of old.

22. The Lord made me the beginning of His ways for His works.

23. ഞാന് പുരാതനമേ, ആദിയില് തന്നേ, ഭൂമിയുടെ ഉല്പത്തിക്കു മുമ്പെ നിയമിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.

23. He established me in the beginning, before time was, before He made the earth.

24. ആഴങ്ങള് ഇല്ലാതിരുന്നപ്പോള് ഞാന് ജനിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; വെള്ളം നിറഞ്ഞ ഉറവുകള് ഇല്ലാതിരുന്നപ്പോള് തന്നേ.

24. Even before He made the depths, before the fountains of water came forth;

25. പര്വ്വതങ്ങളെ സ്ഥാപിച്ചതിന്നു മുമ്പെയും കുന്നുകള്ക്കു മുമ്പെയും ഞാന് ജനിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

25. before the mountains were settled, and before all hills, He begot me.

26. അവന് ഭൂമിയെയും വയലുകളെയും ഭൂതലത്തിന്റെ പൊടിയുടെ തുകയെയും ഉണ്ടാക്കീട്ടില്ലാത്ത സമയത്തു തന്നേ.

26. The Lord made countries and uninhabited [lands], and the highest inhabited parts of the world.

27. അവന് ആകാശത്തെ ഉറപ്പിച്ചപ്പോള് ഞാന് അവിടെ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; അവന് ആഴത്തിന്റെ ഉപരിഭാഗത്തു വൃത്തം വരെച്ചപ്പോഴും

27. When He prepared the heaven, I was present with Him; and when He prepared His throne upon the winds;

28. അവന് മീതെ മേഘങ്ങളെ ഉറപ്പിച്ചപ്പോഴും ആഴത്തിന്റെ ഉറവുകള് തടിച്ചപ്പോഴും

28. and when He strengthened the clouds above, and when He secured the fountains of the earth;

29. വെള്ളം അവന്റെ കല്പനയെ അതിക്രമിക്കാതവണ്ണം അവന് സമുദ്രത്തിന്നു അതിര് വെച്ചപ്പോഴും ഭൂമിയുടെ അടിസ്ഥാനം ഇട്ടപ്പോഴും

29. and when He strengthened the foundations of the earth;

30. ഞാന് അവന്റെ അടുക്കല് ശില്പി ആയിരുന്നു; ഇടവിടാതെ അവന്റെ മുമ്പില് വിനോദിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു ദിനംപ്രതി അവന്റെ പ്രമോദമായിരുന്നു.

30. I was by Him, suiting myself to Him, I was that in which He took delight; and daily I rejoiced in His presence continually.

31. അവന്റെ ഭൂതലത്തില് ഞാന് വിനോദിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നു; എന്റെ പ്രമോദം മനുഷ്യപുത്രന്മാരോടുകൂടെ ആയിരുന്നു.

31. For He rejoiced when He had completed the world, and rejoiced among the children of men.

32. ആകയാല് മക്കളേ, എന്റെ വാക്കു കേട്ടുകൊള്വിന് ; എന്റെ വഴികളെ പ്രമാണിക്കുന്നവര് ഭാഗ്യവാന്മാര്.

32. Now then, [my] son, hear me: blessed is the man who shall listen to me, and the mortal who shall keep my ways;

33. പ്രബോധനം കേട്ടു ബുദ്ധിമാന്മാരായിരിപ്പിന് ; അതിനെ ത്യജിച്ചുകളയരുതു.

34. ദിവസംപ്രതി എന്റെ പടിവാതില്ക്കല് ജാഗരിച്ചും എന്റെ വാതില്ക്കട്ടളെക്കല് കാത്തുകൊണ്ടും എന്റെ വാക്കു കേട്ടനുസരിക്കുന്ന മനുഷ്യന് ഭാഗ്യവാന് .

34. watching daily at my doors, waiting at the posts of my entrances.

35. എന്നെ കണ്ടെത്തുന്നവന് ജീവനെ കണ്ടെത്തുന്നു; അവന് യഹോവയുടെ കടാക്ഷം പ്രാപിക്കുന്നു.

35. For my outgoings are the outgoings of life, and [in them] is prepared favor from the Lord.

36. എന്നോടു പിഴെക്കുന്നവനോ തനിക്കു പ്രാണഹാനി വരുത്തുന്നു; എന്നെ ദ്വേഷിക്കുന്നവരൊക്കെയും മരണത്തെ ഇച്ഛിക്കുന്നു.

36. But they that sin against me act wickedly against their own souls, and they that hate me love death.
