1. യേശു മരിച്ചവരില് നിന്നു ഉയിര്പ്പിച്ച ലാസര് പാര്ത്ത ബേഥാന്യയിലേക്കു യേശു പെസഹെക്കു ആറുദിവസം മുമ്പെ വന്നു.

1. Sixe dayes before Easter came Iesus vnto Bethanye, where Lazarus was, which was deed, whom Iesus raysed vp from the deed.

2. അവിടെ അവര് അവന്നു ഒരു അത്താഴം ഒരുക്കി; മാര്ത്ത ശുശ്രൂഷ ചെയ്തു, ലാസരോ അവനോടുകൂടെ പന്തിയില് ഇരുന്നവരില് ഒരുവന് ആയിരുന്നു.

2. There they made him a supper, and Martha serued. But Lazarus was one of them, that sat at the table with him.

3. അപ്പോള് മറിയ വിലയേറിയ സ്വച്ഛജടാമാംസിതൈലം ഒരു റാത്തല് എടുത്തു യേശുവിന്റെ കാലില് പൂശി തന്റെ തലമുടികൊണ്ടു കാല് തുവര്ത്തി; തൈലത്തിന്റെ സൌരഭ്യം കൊണ്ടു വീടു നിറഞ്ഞു.

3. Then toke Mary a pounde of oyntment of pure and costly Nardus, and anoynted Iesus fete, & dryed his fete with hir heer. The house was full of the sauoure of the oyntment.

4. Then sayde one of his disciples, Iudas Iscarioth Symons sonne, which afterwarde betrayed him:

5. ഈ തൈലം മുന്നൂറു വെള്ളിക്കാശിന്നു വിറ്റു ദിരിദ്രന്മാര്ക്കും കൊടുക്കാഞ്ഞതു എന്തു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

5. Why was not this oyntment solde for thre hundreth pens, and geuen to the poore?

6. ഇതു ദരിദ്രന്മാരെക്കുറിച്ചു വിചാരം ഉണ്ടായിട്ടല്ല, അവന് കള്ളന് ആകകൊണ്ടും പണസ്സഞ്ചി തന്റെ പക്കല് ആകയാല് അതില് ഇട്ടതു എടുത്തുവന്നതുകൊണ്ടും അത്രേ പറഞ്ഞതു.

6. (This sayde he not that he cared for the poore, but because he was a thefe, and had the bagge, and bare that which was geue.)

7. യേശുവോഅവളെ വിടുക; എന്റെ ശവസംസ്കാരദിവസത്തിന്നായി അവള് ഇതു സൂക്ഷിച്ചു എന്നിരിക്കട്ടെ.

7. Then sayde Iesus: Let her alone, this hath she kepte agaynst the daye of my buryenge.

8. ദരിദ്രന്മാര് നിങ്ങള്ക്കു എല്ലായ്പോഴും അടുക്കെ ഉണ്ടല്ലോ; ഞാന് എല്ലായ്പോഴും അടുക്കെ ഇല്ലതാനും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

8. For the poore haue ye allwaye with you, but me haue ye not allwaye.

9. അവന് അവിടെ ഉണ്ടെന്നു അറിഞ്ഞിട്ടു യെഹൂദന്മാരുടെ ഒരു വലിയ പുരുഷാരം യേശുവിന്റെ നിമിത്തം മാത്രമല്ല, അവന് മരിച്ചവരില് നിന്നു ഉയിര്പ്പിച്ച ലാസരെ കാണ്മാനായിട്ടുംകൂടെ വന്നു.

9. Then moch people of the Iewes had knowlege, that he was there, and they came not for Iesus sake onely, but also yt they might se Lazarus, whom he had raysed from the deed.

10. അവന് ഹേതുവായി അനേകം യെഹൂദന്മാര് ചെന്നു

10. But ye hye prestes were aduysed to put Lazarus to death also:

11. യേശുവില് വിശ്വസിക്കയാല് ലാസരെയും കൊല്ലേണം എന്നു മഹാപുരോഹിതന്മാര് ആലോചിച്ചു.

11. because yt for his sake many of the Iewes wete awaye and beleued on Iesus.

12. പിറ്റേന്നു പെരുന്നാള്ക്കു വന്നോരു വലിയ പുരുഷാരം യേശു യെരൂശലേമിലേക്കു വരുന്നു എന്നു കേട്ടിട്ടു

12. Vpon the nexte daye moch people which were come vnto the feast, whan they herde that Iesus came towarde Ierusalem,

13. ഈത്തപ്പനയുടെ കുരുത്തോല എടുത്തുംകൊണ്ടു അവനെ എതിരേല്പാന് ചെന്നുഹോശന്നാ, യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ രാജാവായി കര്ത്താവിന്റെ നാമത്തില് വരുന്നവന് വാഴ്ത്തപ്പെട്ടവന് എന്നു ആര്ത്തു.

13. they toke braunches of palme trees, and wete out to mete him, and cryed: Hosianna, Blessed be he, that in the name of the LORDE commeth kynge of Israel.

14. Iesus gat a yonge Asse, and rode theron, As it is wrytte:

15. “സീയോന് പുത്രി, ഭയപ്പെടേണ്ടാ; ഇതാ നിന്റെ രാജാവു കഴുതകൂട്ടിപ്പുറത്തു കയറിവരുന്നു” എന്നു എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ തന്നേ.

15. Feare not thou doughter of Sion, beholde, thy kynge cometh rydinge vpo an Asses foale.

16. ഇതു അവന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാര് ആദിയില് ഗ്രഹിച്ചില്ല; യേശുവിന്നു തേജസ്കരണം വന്നശേഷം അവനെക്കുറിച്ചു ഇങ്ങനെ എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നും തങ്ങള് അവന്നു ഇങ്ങനെ ചെയ്തു എന്നും അവര്ക്കും ഔര്മ്മ വന്നു.

16. Neuertheles his disciples vnderstode not these thinges at the first, but whan Iesus was glorified, then remebred they that soch thinges were wrytte of him, and that they had done soch thinges vnto him.

17. അവന് ലാസരെ കല്ലറയില് നിന്നു വിളിച്ചു മരിച്ചവരില് നിന്നു എഴുന്നേല്പിച്ചപ്പോള് അവനോടുകൂടെ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്ന പുരുഷാരം സാക്ഷ്യം പറഞ്ഞു.

17. The people that was with him whan he called Lazarus out of ye graue and raysed him from the deed, commended the acte.

18. അവന് ഈ അടയാളം ചെയ്തപ്രകാരം പുരുഷാരം കേട്ടിട്ടു അവനെ എതിരേറ്റുചെന്നു.

18. Therfore the people met him, because they herde, that he had done soch a miracle.

19. ആകയാല് പരീശന്മാര് തമ്മില് തമ്മില്നമുക്കു ഒന്നും സാധിക്കുന്നില്ലല്ലോ; ലോകം അവന്റെ പിന്നാലെ ആയിപ്പോയി എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

19. But the pharises sayde amonge them selues: Ye se, that we preuayle nothinge, beholde, all ye worlde runneth after him.

20. പെരുനാളില് നമസ്കരിപ്പാന് വന്നവരില് ചില യവനന്മാര് ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

20. There were certayne Grekes (amonge the that were come vp to Ierusale to worshipe at the feast)

21. ഇവര് ഗലീലയിലെ ബേത്ത് സയിദക്കാരനായ ഫിലിപ്പൊസിന്റെ അടുക്കല് ചെന്നു അവനോടുയജമാനനേ, ഞങ്ങള്ക്കു യേശുവിനെ കാണ്മാന് താല്പര്യമുണ്ടു എന്നു അപേക്ഷിച്ചു.

21. the same came vnto Philippe, which was of Bethsaida out of Galile, & prayed him, and sayde: Syr, we wolde fayne se Iesus.

22. ഫിലിപ്പൊസ് ചെന്നു അന്ത്രെയാസിനോടു പറഞ്ഞു. അന്ത്രെയാസും ഫിലിപ്പൊസും കൂടെ ചെന്നു യേശുവിനോടു പറഞ്ഞു.

22. Philippe came, & tolde Andrew. And agayne, Philippe and Andrew tolde Iesus.

23. യേശു അവരോടു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞതുമനുഷ്യപുത്രന് തേജസ്കരിക്കപ്പെടുവാനുള്ള നാഴിക വന്നിരിക്കുന്നു.

23. Iesus answered the, and sayde: The houre is come, that the sonne of man must be glorified.

24. ആമേന് , ആമേന് , ഞാന് നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നുകോതമ്പുമണി നിലത്തു വീണു ചാകുന്നില്ല എങ്കില് അതു തനിയേ ഇരിക്കും; ചത്തു എങ്കിലോ വളരെ വിളവുണ്ടാകും.

24. Verely verely I saye vnto you: Excepte the wheatcorne fall in to the grounde, and dye, it bydeth alone: But yf it dye, it bryngeth forth moch frute.

25. തന്റെ ജീവനെ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നവന് അതിനെ കളയും; ഇഹലോകത്തില് തന്റെ ജീവനെ പകെക്കുന്നവന് അതിനെ നിത്യജീവന്നായി സൂക്ഷിക്കും.

25. He that loueth his life, shal lose it: and he that hateth his life in this worlde, shal kepe it vnto life euerlastinge.

26. എനിക്കു ശുശ്രൂഷ ചെയ്യുന്നവന് എന്നെ അനുഗമിക്കട്ടെ; ഞാന് ഇരിക്കുന്നേടത്തു എന്റെ ശുശ്രൂഷക്കാരനും ഇരിക്കും; എനിക്കു ശുശ്രൂഷചെയ്യുന്നവനെ പിതാവു മാനിക്കും.

26. He that wyl serue me, let him folowe me. And where I am, there shal my seruaunt be also: and he that serueth me, him shal my father honoure.

27. ഇപ്പോള് എന്റെ ഉള്ളം കലങ്ങിയിരിക്കുന്നു; ഞാന് എന്തു പറയേണ്ടു? പിതാവേ, ഈ നാഴികയില്നിന്നു എന്നെ രക്ഷിക്കേണമേ; എങ്കിലും ഇതു നിമിത്തം ഞാന് ഈ നാഴികയിലേക്കു വന്നിരിക്കുന്നു.

27. Now is my soule heuy, and what shal I saye? Father, helpe me out of this houre. But therfore am I come in to this houre.

28. പിതാവേ, നിന്റെ നാമത്തെ മഹത്വപ്പെടുത്തേണമേ. അപ്പോള് സ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തില്നിന്നു; ഞാന് മഹത്വപ്പെടുത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു; ഇനിയും മഹത്വപ്പെടുത്തും എന്നൊരു ശബ്ദം ഉണ്ടായി

28. Father, glorifye thy name. Then came there a voyce from heauen: I haue glorified it, and wyl glorifye it agayne.

29. അതുകേട്ടിട്ടു അരികെ നിലക്കുന്ന പുരുഷാരംഇടി ഉണ്ടായി എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു; മറ്റു ചിലര് ഒരു ദൈവദൂതന് അവനോടു സംസാരിച്ചു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

29. Then sayde the people that stode by and herde: It thondereth. Other sayde: An angell spake vnto him.

30. അതിന്നു യേശുഈ ശബ്ദം എന്റെ നിമിത്തമല്ല, നിങ്ങളുടെ നിമിത്തം അത്രേ ഉണ്ടായതു.

30. Iesus answered, and sayde: This voyce came not because of me, but for youre sakes.

31. ഇപ്പോള് ഈ ലോകത്തിന്റെ ന്യായവിധി ആകുന്നു; ഇപ്പോള് ഈ ലോകത്തിന്റെ പ്രഭുവിനെ പുറത്തു തള്ളിക്കളയും.

31. Now goeth the iudgment ouer the worlde. Now shal the prynce of this worlde be thrust out.

32. ഞാനോ ഭൂമിയില് നിന്നു ഉയര്ത്തപ്പെട്ടാല് എല്ലാവരെയും എങ്കലേക്കു ആകര്ഷിക്കും എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

32. And I whan I am lift vp from the earth, wyl drawe all vnto me.

33. ഇതു താന് മരിപ്പാനുള്ള മരണവിധം സൂചിപ്പിച്ചു പറഞ്ഞതത്രേ.

33. (But this he sayde, to signifye, what death he shulde dye.)

34. പുരുഷാരം അവനോടുക്രിസ്തു എന്നേക്കും ഇരിക്കും എന്നു ഞങ്ങള് ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തില് വായിച്ചുകേട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു; പിന്നെ മനുഷ്യപുത്രന് ഉയര്ത്തപ്പെടേണ്ടതെന്നു നീ പറയുന്നതു എങ്ങനെ? ഈ മനുഷ്യപുത്രന് ആര് എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

34. Then answered him the people: We haue herde in the lawe, that Christ endureth for euer: and how sayest thou then, that the sonne of man must be lift vp? Who is this sonne of man?

35. അതിന്നു യേശു അവരോടുഇനി കുറെകാലം മാത്രം വെളിച്ചം നിങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയില് ഇരിക്കും; ഇരുള് നിങ്ങളെ പിടിക്കാതിരിപ്പാന് നിങ്ങള്ക്കു വെളിച്ചം ഉള്ളേടത്തോളം നടന്നുകൊള്വിന് . ഇരുളില് നടക്കുന്നവന് താന് എവിടെ പോകുന്നു എന്നു അറിയുന്നില്ലല്ലോ.

35. Then sayde Iesus vnto them: The light is yet a litle whyle with you, walke whyle ye haue the light, that the darknesse fall not vpo you. He that walketh in the darknesse, woteth not whither he goeth.

36. നിങ്ങള് വെളിച്ചത്തിന്റെ മക്കള് ആകേണ്ടതിന്നു വെളിച്ചം ഉള്ളടത്തോളം വെളിച്ചത്തില് വിശ്വസിപ്പിന് എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

36. Beleue ye on the light, whyle ye haue it, that ye maye be the children of light. These thinges spake Iesus, and departed awaye, and hyd himself from them.

37. ഇതു സംസാരിച്ചിട്ടു യേശു വാങ്ങിപ്പോയി അവരെ വിട്ടു മറഞ്ഞു. അവര് കാണ്കെ അവന് ഇത്ര വളരെ അടയാളങ്ങളെ ചെയ്തിട്ടും അവര് അവനില് വിശ്വസിച്ചില്ല.

37. And though he had done soch tokens before the, yet beleued they not on him,

38. “കര്ത്താവേ, ഞങ്ങള് കേള്പ്പിച്ചതു ആര് വിശ്വസിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു? കര്ത്താവിന്റെ ഭുജം ആര്ക്കും വെളിപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു?” എന്നു യെശയ്യാപ്രവാചകന് പറഞ്ഞ വചനം നിവൃത്തിയാവാന് ഇടവന്നു.

38. that the sayenge of Esay the prophet might be fulfylled, which he spake: LORDE, who beleueth oure preachinge? Or to whom is the arme of the LORDE opened?

39. അവര്ക്കും വിശ്വസിപ്പാന് കഴിഞ്ഞില്ല; അതിന്റെ കാരണം യെശയ്യാവു വേറെ ഒരേടത്തു പറയുന്നതു

39. Therfore coulde they not beleue, for Esay saide agayne:

40. അവര് കണ്ണുകൊണ്ടു കാണുകയോ ഹൃദയംകൊണ്ടു ഗ്രഹിക്കയോ മനം തിരികയോ താന് അവരെ സൌഖ്യമാക്കുകയോ ചെയ്യാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവരുടെ കണ്ണു അവന് കുരുടാക്കി ഹൃദയം തടിപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു”

40. He hath blynded their eyes, and hardened their hert, that they shulde not se with the eyes, ner vnderstonde with the hert, & shulde be conuerted, and he shulde heale them.

41. യെശയ്യാവു അവന്റെ തേജസ്സു കണ്ടു അവനെക്കുറിച്ചു സംസാരിച്ചതു കൊണ്ടാകുന്നു ഇതു പറഞ്ഞതു.ര് ആകാതിരിപ്പാന് പരീശന്മാര് നിമിത്തം ഏറ്റുപറഞ്ഞില്ലതാനും.ഹിച്ചു.

41. This sayde Esay, whan he sawe his glory, and spake of him.

42. യേശു വിളിച്ചു പറഞ്ഞതുഎന്നില് വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നവന് എന്നിലല്ല എന്നെ അയച്ചവനില് തന്നേ വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നു.

42. Neuertheles many of the chefe rulers beleued on him, but because of the Pharises they wolde not be aknowne of it, lest they shulde be excommunicate,

43. എന്നെ കാണുന്നവന് എന്നെ അയച്ചവനെ കാണുന്നു.

43. For they loued more the prayse with men, then with God.

44. എന്നില് വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നവന് ആരും ഇരുളില് വസിക്കാതിരിപ്പാന് ഞാന് വെളിച്ചമായി ലോകത്തില് വന്നിരിക്കുന്നു.

44. Iesus cryed and sayde: He that beleueth on me, beleueth not on me, but on him that sent me.

45. എന്റെ വചനം കേട്ടു പ്രമാണിക്കാത്തവനെ ഞാന് വിധിക്കുന്നില്ല; ലോകത്തെ വിധിപ്പാനല്ല, ലോകത്തെ രക്ഷിപ്പാനത്രേ ഞാന് വന്നിരിക്കുന്നതു.

45. And he that seyth me, seyth him yt sent me.

46. എന്റെ വചനം കൈക്കൊള്ളാതെ എന്നെ തള്ളിക്കളയുന്നവനെ ന്യായം വിധിക്കുന്നവന് ഉണ്ടു; ഞാന് സംസാരിച്ച വചനം തന്നേ ഒടുക്കത്തെ നാളില് അവനെ ന്യായം വിധിക്കും.

46. I am come a light in to the worlde, that whosoeuer beleueth on me, shulde not byde in darknesse.

47. ഞാന് സ്വയമായി സംസാരിച്ചിട്ടില്ല; എന്നെ അയച്ച പിതാവു തന്നേ ഞാന് ഇന്നതു പറയേണം എന്നും ഇന്നതു സംസാരിക്കേണം എന്നും കല്പന തന്നിരിക്കുന്നു.

47. And he that heareth my wordes and beleueth not, I iudge him not, for I am not come to iudge the worlde, but to saue the worlde.

48. അവന്റെ കല്പന നിത്യജീവന് എന്നു ഞാന് അറിയുന്നു; ആകയാല് ഞാന് സംസാരിക്കുന്നതു പിതാവു എന്നോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതുപോലെ തന്നേ സംസാരിക്കുന്നു.

48. He that refuseth me, and receaueth not my wordes, hath one allready that iudgeth him. The worde that I haue spoken, that shall iudge him at the last daye,
