1. യേശു മരിച്ചവരില് നിന്നു ഉയിര്പ്പിച്ച ലാസര് പാര്ത്ത ബേഥാന്യയിലേക്കു യേശു പെസഹെക്കു ആറുദിവസം മുമ്പെ വന്നു.

1. Then Iesus, sixe dayes before the Passouer, came to Bethanie, where Lazarus had ben dead, whom he raysed from death.

2. അവിടെ അവര് അവന്നു ഒരു അത്താഴം ഒരുക്കി; മാര്ത്ത ശുശ്രൂഷ ചെയ്തു, ലാസരോ അവനോടുകൂടെ പന്തിയില് ഇരുന്നവരില് ഒരുവന് ആയിരുന്നു.

2. There they made hym a supper, and Martha serued: but Lazarus was one of them that sate at the table with hym.

3. അപ്പോള് മറിയ വിലയേറിയ സ്വച്ഛജടാമാംസിതൈലം ഒരു റാത്തല് എടുത്തു യേശുവിന്റെ കാലില് പൂശി തന്റെ തലമുടികൊണ്ടു കാല് തുവര്ത്തി; തൈലത്തിന്റെ സൌരഭ്യം കൊണ്ടു വീടു നിറഞ്ഞു.

3. Then toke Marie a pounde of oyntment of Spike narde, very costly, and annoynted Iesus feete, and wyped his feete with her heere: and the house was fylled with the odoure of the oyntment.

4. Then sayde one of his disciples, euen Iudas Iscariot Simons sonne, which shoulde betraye hym.

5. ഈ തൈലം മുന്നൂറു വെള്ളിക്കാശിന്നു വിറ്റു ദിരിദ്രന്മാര്ക്കും കൊടുക്കാഞ്ഞതു എന്തു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

5. Why was not this oyntment solde for three hundred pence, and geuen to the poore?

6. ഇതു ദരിദ്രന്മാരെക്കുറിച്ചു വിചാരം ഉണ്ടായിട്ടല്ല, അവന് കള്ളന് ആകകൊണ്ടും പണസ്സഞ്ചി തന്റെ പക്കല് ആകയാല് അതില് ഇട്ടതു എടുത്തുവന്നതുകൊണ്ടും അത്രേ പറഞ്ഞതു.

6. This he sayde, not that he cared for the poore: but because he was a thiefe, and had the bagge, and bare that which was geuen.

7. യേശുവോഅവളെ വിടുക; എന്റെ ശവസംസ്കാരദിവസത്തിന്നായി അവള് ഇതു സൂക്ഷിച്ചു എന്നിരിക്കട്ടെ.

7. Then sayde Iesus: Let her alone, agaynst the day of my burying hath she kept this.

8. ദരിദ്രന്മാര് നിങ്ങള്ക്കു എല്ലായ്പോഴും അടുക്കെ ഉണ്ടല്ലോ; ഞാന് എല്ലായ്പോഴും അടുക്കെ ഇല്ലതാനും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

8. For the poore alwayes shall ye haue with you: but me haue ye not alwayes.

9. Much people of the Iewes therfore had knowledge that he was there. And they came not for Iesus sake only: but that they might se Lazarus also, who he raysed from death.

10. But the hye priestes helde a councell, that they myght put Lazarus to death also,

11. യേശുവില് വിശ്വസിക്കയാല് ലാസരെയും കൊല്ലേണം എന്നു മഹാപുരോഹിതന്മാര് ആലോചിച്ചു.

11. Because that for his sake, many of the Iewes went away, and beleued on Iesus.

12. പിറ്റേന്നു പെരുന്നാള്ക്കു വന്നോരു വലിയ പുരുഷാരം യേശു യെരൂശലേമിലേക്കു വരുന്നു എന്നു കേട്ടിട്ടു

12. On the next day, much people that were come to ye feast, when they hearde that Iesus should come to Hierusalem,

13. ഈത്തപ്പനയുടെ കുരുത്തോല എടുത്തുംകൊണ്ടു അവനെ എതിരേല്പാന് ചെന്നുഹോശന്നാ, യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ രാജാവായി കര്ത്താവിന്റെ നാമത്തില് വരുന്നവന് വാഴ്ത്തപ്പെട്ടവന് എന്നു ആര്ത്തു.

13. Toke braunches of paulme trees, and went foorth to meete hym, and cryed: Hosanna, blessed is he that in the name of the Lorde commeth, kyng of Israel.

14. And Iesus got a young Asse, and sate theron, as it is written:

15. Feare not daughter of Sion, beholde, thy kyng commeth, sittyng on an Asses colte.

16. ഇതു അവന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാര് ആദിയില് ഗ്രഹിച്ചില്ല; യേശുവിന്നു തേജസ്കരണം വന്നശേഷം അവനെക്കുറിച്ചു ഇങ്ങനെ എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നും തങ്ങള് അവന്നു ഇങ്ങനെ ചെയ്തു എന്നും അവര്ക്കും ഔര്മ്മ വന്നു.

16. These thynges vnderstoode not his disciples at the first: but when Iesus was glorified, the remembred they that such thinges were written of him, & that such thynges they had done vnto hym.

17. അവന് ലാസരെ കല്ലറയില് നിന്നു വിളിച്ചു മരിച്ചവരില് നിന്നു എഴുന്നേല്പിച്ചപ്പോള് അവനോടുകൂടെ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്ന പുരുഷാരം സാക്ഷ്യം പറഞ്ഞു.

17. The people that was with him, when he called Lazarus out of his graue, and raysed hym from death, bare recorde.

18. അവന് ഈ അടയാളം ചെയ്തപ്രകാരം പുരുഷാരം കേട്ടിട്ടു അവനെ എതിരേറ്റുചെന്നു.

18. Therfore met hym the people also, because they hearde that he had done such a miracle.

19. ആകയാല് പരീശന്മാര് തമ്മില് തമ്മില്നമുക്കു ഒന്നും സാധിക്കുന്നില്ലല്ലോ; ലോകം അവന്റെ പിന്നാലെ ആയിപ്പോയി എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

19. The pharisees therfore sayde among them selues: perceaue ye, howe ye preuayle nothyng? Beholde, [all the whole] worlde goeth after hym.

20. പെരുനാളില് നമസ്കരിപ്പാന് വന്നവരില് ചില യവനന്മാര് ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

20. There were certaine Grekes among them, that came to worship at the feast:

21. ഇവര് ഗലീലയിലെ ബേത്ത് സയിദക്കാരനായ ഫിലിപ്പൊസിന്റെ അടുക്കല് ചെന്നു അവനോടുയജമാനനേ, ഞങ്ങള്ക്കു യേശുവിനെ കാണ്മാന് താല്പര്യമുണ്ടു എന്നു അപേക്ഷിച്ചു.

21. The same came therefore to Philip, which was of Bethsaida, [a citie] of Galilee, and desired hym, saying: Syr, we woulde [fayne] see Iesus.

22. ഫിലിപ്പൊസ് ചെന്നു അന്ത്രെയാസിനോടു പറഞ്ഞു. അന്ത്രെയാസും ഫിലിപ്പൊസും കൂടെ ചെന്നു യേശുവിനോടു പറഞ്ഞു.

22. Philip came and tolde Andrewe: And agayne, Andrewe & Philip tolde Iesus.

23. യേശു അവരോടു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞതുമനുഷ്യപുത്രന് തേജസ്കരിക്കപ്പെടുവാനുള്ള നാഴിക വന്നിരിക്കുന്നു.

23. And Iesus aunswered them, saying: The houre is come, that the sonne of man must be glorified.

24. ആമേന് , ആമേന് , ഞാന് നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നുകോതമ്പുമണി നിലത്തു വീണു ചാകുന്നില്ല എങ്കില് അതു തനിയേ ഇരിക്കും; ചത്തു എങ്കിലോ വളരെ വിളവുണ്ടാകും.

24. Ueryly, veryly, I say vnto you, except the wheate corne fall into the grounde, and dye, it abideth alone: If it dye, it bryngeth foorth much fruite.

25. തന്റെ ജീവനെ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നവന് അതിനെ കളയും; ഇഹലോകത്തില് തന്റെ ജീവനെ പകെക്കുന്നവന് അതിനെ നിത്യജീവന്നായി സൂക്ഷിക്കും.

25. He that loueth his lyfe, shall destroy it: and he that hateth his lyfe in this worlde, shall kepe it vnto lyfe eternall.

26. എനിക്കു ശുശ്രൂഷ ചെയ്യുന്നവന് എന്നെ അനുഗമിക്കട്ടെ; ഞാന് ഇരിക്കുന്നേടത്തു എന്റെ ശുശ്രൂഷക്കാരനും ഇരിക്കും; എനിക്കു ശുശ്രൂഷചെയ്യുന്നവനെ പിതാവു മാനിക്കും.

26. If any man minister vnto me, let hym folowe me: And where I am, there shall also my minister be. If any man minister vnto me, hym wyll my father honour.

27. ഇപ്പോള് എന്റെ ഉള്ളം കലങ്ങിയിരിക്കുന്നു; ഞാന് എന്തു പറയേണ്ടു? പിതാവേ, ഈ നാഴികയില്നിന്നു എന്നെ രക്ഷിക്കേണമേ; എങ്കിലും ഇതു നിമിത്തം ഞാന് ഈ നാഴികയിലേക്കു വന്നിരിക്കുന്നു.

27. Nowe is my soule troubled, and what shall I say? Father, saue me from this houre: but therfore came I into this houre.

28. പിതാവേ, നിന്റെ നാമത്തെ മഹത്വപ്പെടുത്തേണമേ. അപ്പോള് സ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തില്നിന്നു; ഞാന് മഹത്വപ്പെടുത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു; ഇനിയും മഹത്വപ്പെടുത്തും എന്നൊരു ശബ്ദം ഉണ്ടായി

28. Father, glorifie thy name. Then came there a voyce from heauen [saying] I haue both glorified it, and wyll glorifie it agayne.

29. അതുകേട്ടിട്ടു അരികെ നിലക്കുന്ന പുരുഷാരംഇടി ഉണ്ടായി എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു; മറ്റു ചിലര് ഒരു ദൈവദൂതന് അവനോടു സംസാരിച്ചു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

29. The people therfore that stoode by and hearde it, sayde that it thundred: Other sayde, an Angel spake to hym.

30. അതിന്നു യേശുഈ ശബ്ദം എന്റെ നിമിത്തമല്ല, നിങ്ങളുടെ നിമിത്തം അത്രേ ഉണ്ടായതു.

30. Iesus aunswered and sayde: This voyce came, not because of me, but for your sakes.

31. ഇപ്പോള് ഈ ലോകത്തിന്റെ ന്യായവിധി ആകുന്നു; ഇപ്പോള് ഈ ലോകത്തിന്റെ പ്രഭുവിനെ പുറത്തു തള്ളിക്കളയും.

31. Nowe is the iudgement of this worlde: Nowe shall the prince of this worlde be cast out.

32. ഞാനോ ഭൂമിയില് നിന്നു ഉയര്ത്തപ്പെട്ടാല് എല്ലാവരെയും എങ്കലേക്കു ആകര്ഷിക്കും എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

32. And I, yf I were lyft vp from the earth, wyll drawe all men vnto me.

33. ഇതു താന് മരിപ്പാനുള്ള മരണവിധം സൂചിപ്പിച്ചു പറഞ്ഞതത്രേ.

33. (This he sayde, signifiyng what death he shoulde dye.)

34. പുരുഷാരം അവനോടുക്രിസ്തു എന്നേക്കും ഇരിക്കും എന്നു ഞങ്ങള് ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തില് വായിച്ചുകേട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു; പിന്നെ മനുഷ്യപുത്രന് ഉയര്ത്തപ്പെടേണ്ടതെന്നു നീ പറയുന്നതു എങ്ങനെ? ഈ മനുഷ്യപുത്രന് ആര് എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

34. The people aunswered him: We haue hearde out of the lawe, that Christe bydeth euer: and howe sayest thou, the sonne of man must be lyft vp? Who is that sonne of man?

35. അതിന്നു യേശു അവരോടുഇനി കുറെകാലം മാത്രം വെളിച്ചം നിങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയില് ഇരിക്കും; ഇരുള് നിങ്ങളെ പിടിക്കാതിരിപ്പാന് നിങ്ങള്ക്കു വെളിച്ചം ഉള്ളേടത്തോളം നടന്നുകൊള്വിന് . ഇരുളില് നടക്കുന്നവന് താന് എവിടെ പോകുന്നു എന്നു അറിയുന്നില്ലല്ലോ.

35. Then Iesus sayde vnto them: Yet a litle while is the light with you. Walke while ye haue light, lest the darknesse come on you: For he that walketh in the darke, wotteth not whither he goeth.

36. നിങ്ങള് വെളിച്ചത്തിന്റെ മക്കള് ആകേണ്ടതിന്നു വെളിച്ചം ഉള്ളടത്തോളം വെളിച്ചത്തില് വിശ്വസിപ്പിന് എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

36. Whyle ye haue lyght, beleue on the lyght, that ye may be the chyldren of the lyght. These thynges spake Iesus, and departed, & hyd hym selfe from the.

37. ഇതു സംസാരിച്ചിട്ടു യേശു വാങ്ങിപ്പോയി അവരെ വിട്ടു മറഞ്ഞു. അവര് കാണ്കെ അവന് ഇത്ര വളരെ അടയാളങ്ങളെ ചെയ്തിട്ടും അവര് അവനില് വിശ്വസിച്ചില്ല.

37. But though he had done so many miracles before them, yet beleued not they on hym,

38. “കര്ത്താവേ, ഞങ്ങള് കേള്പ്പിച്ചതു ആര് വിശ്വസിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു? കര്ത്താവിന്റെ ഭുജം ആര്ക്കും വെളിപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു?” എന്നു യെശയ്യാപ്രവാചകന് പറഞ്ഞ വചനം നിവൃത്തിയാവാന് ഇടവന്നു.

38. That the saying of Esaias the prophete myght be fulfylled, which he spake: Lorde, who shall beleue our saying? And to whom is the arme of the Lorde declared?

39. അവര്ക്കും വിശ്വസിപ്പാന് കഴിഞ്ഞില്ല; അതിന്റെ കാരണം യെശയ്യാവു വേറെ ഒരേടത്തു പറയുന്നതു

39. Therfore coulde they not beleue, because that Esaias sayth agayne:

40. അവര് കണ്ണുകൊണ്ടു കാണുകയോ ഹൃദയംകൊണ്ടു ഗ്രഹിക്കയോ മനം തിരികയോ താന് അവരെ സൌഖ്യമാക്കുകയോ ചെയ്യാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവരുടെ കണ്ണു അവന് കുരുടാക്കി ഹൃദയം തടിപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു”

40. He hath blynded their eyes, and hardened their heart, that they shoulde not see with their eyes, & lest they should vnderstande with their hearte, & should be conuerted, and I should heale them.

41. യെശയ്യാവു അവന്റെ തേജസ്സു കണ്ടു അവനെക്കുറിച്ചു സംസാരിച്ചതു കൊണ്ടാകുന്നു ഇതു പറഞ്ഞതു.ര് ആകാതിരിപ്പാന് പരീശന്മാര് നിമിത്തം ഏറ്റുപറഞ്ഞില്ലതാനും.ഹിച്ചു.

41. Such thynges sayde Esaias, when he sawe his glory, and spake of hym.

42. യേശു വിളിച്ചു പറഞ്ഞതുഎന്നില് വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നവന് എന്നിലല്ല എന്നെ അയച്ചവനില് തന്നേ വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നു.

42. Neuerthelesse, among ye chiefe rulers also, many beleued on hym: But because of the pharisees, they dyd not confesse hym, lest they should be excomunicate.

43. എന്നെ കാണുന്നവന് എന്നെ അയച്ചവനെ കാണുന്നു.

43. For they loued the prayse of men, more then the prayse of God.

44. എന്നില് വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നവന് ആരും ഇരുളില് വസിക്കാതിരിപ്പാന് ഞാന് വെളിച്ചമായി ലോകത്തില് വന്നിരിക്കുന്നു.

44. Iesus cryed, and sayde: He that beleueth on me, beleueth not on me, but on hym that sent me.

45. എന്റെ വചനം കേട്ടു പ്രമാണിക്കാത്തവനെ ഞാന് വിധിക്കുന്നില്ല; ലോകത്തെ വിധിപ്പാനല്ല, ലോകത്തെ രക്ഷിപ്പാനത്രേ ഞാന് വന്നിരിക്കുന്നതു.

45. And he that seeth me, seeth hym that sent me.

46. എന്റെ വചനം കൈക്കൊള്ളാതെ എന്നെ തള്ളിക്കളയുന്നവനെ ന്യായം വിധിക്കുന്നവന് ഉണ്ടു; ഞാന് സംസാരിച്ച വചനം തന്നേ ഒടുക്കത്തെ നാളില് അവനെ ന്യായം വിധിക്കും.

46. I am come a lyght into ye worlde, that whosoeuer beleueth on me, should not byde in darknesse.

47. ഞാന് സ്വയമായി സംസാരിച്ചിട്ടില്ല; എന്നെ അയച്ച പിതാവു തന്നേ ഞാന് ഇന്നതു പറയേണം എന്നും ഇന്നതു സംസാരിക്കേണം എന്നും കല്പന തന്നിരിക്കുന്നു.

47. And yf any man heare my wordes, and beleue not, I iudge hym not: For I came not to iudge the worlde, but to saue the worlde.

48. അവന്റെ കല്പന നിത്യജീവന് എന്നു ഞാന് അറിയുന്നു; ആകയാല് ഞാന് സംസാരിക്കുന്നതു പിതാവു എന്നോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതുപോലെ തന്നേ സംസാരിക്കുന്നു.

48. He that refuseth me, & receaueth not my wordes, hath one that iudgeth him: The worde that I haue spoken, the same shall iudge hym in the last day.
