1. നിങ്ങള് നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവേക്കു മക്കള് ആകുന്നു; മരിച്ചവന്നു വേണ്ടി നിങ്ങളെ മുറിവേല്പിക്കയോ നിങ്ങള്ക്കു മുന് കഷണ്ടിയുണ്ടാക്കുകയോ ചെയ്യരുതു.
റോമർ 9:4

1. You are children of GOD, your God, so don't mutilate your bodies or shave your heads in funeral rites for the dead.

2. നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവേക്കു നീ വിശുദ്ധജനമല്ലോ; ഭൂതലത്തിലുള്ള സകലജാതികളിലും വെച്ചു തനിക്കു സ്വന്തജനമായിരിപ്പാന് യഹോവ നിന്നെ തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു.

2. You only are a people holy to GOD, your God; GOD chose you out of all the people on Earth as his cherished personal treasure.

3. മ്ളേച്ഛമായതൊന്നിനെയും തിന്നരുതു.

3. Don't eat anything abominable.

4. നിങ്ങള്ക്കു തിന്നാകുന്ന മൃഗങ്ങള് ആവിതു

4. These are the animals you may eat: ox, sheep, goat,

5. കാള, ചെമ്മരിയാടു, കോലാടു, കലമാന് , പുള്ളിമാന് , കടമാന് , കാട്ടാടു, ചെറുമാന് മലയാടു കവരിമാന് .

5. deer, gazelle, roebuck, wild goat, ibex, antelope, mountain sheep--

6. മൃഗങ്ങളില് കുളമ്പു പിളര്ന്നതും കുളമ്പു രണ്ടായി പിരിഞ്ഞതും അയവിറക്കുന്നതുമായ മൃഗത്തെ ഒക്കെയും നിങ്ങള്ക്കു തിന്നാം.

6. any animal that has a cloven hoof and chews the cud.

7. എന്നാല് അയവിറക്കുന്നവയിലും കുളമ്പു പിളര്ന്നവയിലും തിന്നരുതാത്തവ ഏവയെന്നാല്ഒട്ടകം, മുയല്, കുഴി മുയല്; അവ അയവിറക്കുന്നു എങ്കിലും കുളമ്പു പിളര്ന്നവയല്ല; അവ നിങ്ങള്ക്കു അശുദ്ധം.

7. But you may not eat camels, rabbits, and rock badgers because they chew the cud but they don't have a cloven hoof--that makes them ritually unclean.

8. പന്നിഅതു കുളമ്പു പിളര്ന്നതെങ്കിലും അയവിറക്കുന്നില്ല; അതു നിങ്ങള്ക്കു അശുദ്ധം ഇവയുടെ മാംസം തിന്നരുതു; പിണം തൊടുകയും അരുതു.

8. And pigs: Don't eat pigs--they have a cloven hoof but don't chew the cud, which makes them ritually unclean. Don't even touch a pig's carcass.

9. വെള്ളത്തിലുള്ള എല്ലാറ്റിലും ചിറകും ചെതുമ്പലും ഉള്ളതൊക്കെയും നിങ്ങള്ക്കു തിന്നാം.

9. This is what you may eat from the water: anything that has fins and scales.

10. എന്നാല് ചിറകും ചെതുമ്പലും ഇല്ലാത്തതൊന്നും തിന്നരുതു; അതു നിങ്ങള്ക്കു അശുദ്ധം.

10. But if it doesn't have fins or scales, you may not eat it. It's ritually unclean.

11. ശുദ്ധിയുള്ള സകലപക്ഷികളെയും നിങ്ങള്ക്കു തിന്നാം.

11. You may eat any ritually clean bird.

12. പക്ഷികളില് തിന്നരുതാത്തവകടല്റാഞ്ചന് , ചെമ്പരുന്തു, കഴുകന് ,

12. These are the exceptions, so don't eat these: eagle, vulture, black vulture,

13. ചെങ്ങാലിപ്പരുന്തു, ഗൃദ്ധ്രം, അതതുവിധം പരുന്തു

13. kite, falcon, the buzzard family,

14. അതതുവിധം കാക്ക,

14. the raven family,

15. ഒട്ടകപക്ഷി, പുള്ളു, കടല്ക്കാക്ക, അതതുവിധം പ്രാപ്പിടിയന് ,

15. ostrich, nighthawk, the hawk family,

16. നത്തു, ക്കുമന് മൂങ്ങാ, വേഴാമ്പല്,

16. little owl, great owl, white owl,

17. കുടുമ്മച്ചാത്തന് , നീര്കാക്ക,

17. pelican, osprey, cormorant,

18. പെരുഞാറ, അതതുവിധം കൊകൂ, കുളക്കോഴി, നരിച്ചീര് എന്നിവയാകുന്നു.

18. stork, the heron family, hoopoe, bat.

19. ചിറകുള്ള ഇഴജാതിയൊക്കെയും നിങ്ങള്ക്കു അശുദ്ധം; അവയെ തിന്നരുതു.

19. Winged insects are ritually unclean; don't eat them.

20. ശുദ്ധിയുള്ള പക്ഷികളെയൊക്കെയും നിങ്ങള്ക്കു തിന്നാം.

20. But ritually clean winged creatures are permitted.

21. താനേ ചത്ത ഒന്നിനെയും തിന്നരുതു; അതു നിന്റെ പട്ടണങ്ങളിലുള്ള പരദേശിക്കു തിന്മാന് കൊടുക്കാംഅല്ലെങ്കില് അന്യജാതിക്കാരന്നു വില്ക്കാം; നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവേക്കു നീ വിശുദ്ധജനമല്ലോ. ആട്ടിന് കുട്ടിയെ അതിന്റെ തള്ളയുടെ പാലില് പാകം ചെയ്യരുതു.

21. Because you are a people holy to GOD, your God, don't eat anything that you find dead. You can, though, give it to a foreigner in your neighborhood for a meal or sell it to a foreigner. Don't boil a kid in its mother's milk.

22. ആണ്ടുതോറും നിലത്തു വിതെച്ചുണ്ടാകുന്ന എല്ലാവിളവിലും ദശാംശം എടുത്തുവെക്കേണം.

22. Make an offering of ten percent, a tithe, of all the produce which grows in your fields year after year.

23. നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയെ എല്ലായ്പോഴും ഭയപ്പെടുവാന് പഠിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ തന്റെ നാമം സ്ഥാപിപ്പാന് തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കുന്ന സ്ഥലത്തു നീ നിന്റെ ധാന്യത്തിന്റെയും വീഞ്ഞിന്റെയും എണ്ണയുടെയും ദശാംശവും നിന്റെ ആടുമാടുകളുടെ കടിഞ്ഞൂലുകളെയും അവന്റെ സന്നിധയില്വെച്ചു തിന്നേണം.

23. Bring this into the Presence of GOD, your God, at the place he designates for worship and there eat the tithe from your grain, wine, and oil and the firstborn from your herds and flocks. In this way you will learn to live in deep reverence before GOD, your God, as long as you live.

24. നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിന്നെ അനുഗ്രഹിച്ചിരിക്കുമ്പോള് നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ തന്റെ നാമം സ്ഥാപിപ്പാന് തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കുന്ന സ്ഥലം വളരെ അകലെയും അതുകൊണ്ടുപോകുവാന് കഴിയാതവണ്ണം വഴി അതിദൂരവുമായിരുന്നാല്

24. But if the place GOD, your God, designates for worship is too far away and you can't carry your tithe that far, GOD, your God, will still bless you:

25. അതു വിറ്റു പണമാക്കി പണം കയ്യില് എടുത്തു നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കുന്ന സ്ഥലത്തേക്കു കൊണ്ടുപോകേണം.

25. exchange your tithe for money and take the money to the place GOD, your God, has chosen to be worshiped.

26. നിന്റെ ഇഷ്ടംപോലെ മാടോ ആടോ വീഞ്ഞോ മദ്യമോ ഇങ്ങനെ നീ ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്ന ഏതിനെയും ആ പണം കൊടുത്തു വാങ്ങി നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയില്വെച്ചു തിന്നു നീയും നിന്റെ കുടുംബവും സന്തോഷിക്കേണം.

26. Use the money to buy anything you want: cattle, sheep, wine, or beer--anything that looks good to you. You and your family can then feast in the Presence of GOD, your God, and have a good time.

27. നിന്റെ പട്ടണങ്ങളിലുള്ള ലേവ്യനെ മറന്നു കളയരുതു; അവന്നു നിന്നോടുകൂടെ ഔഹരിയും അവകാശവും ഇല്ലല്ലോ.

27. Meanwhile, don't forget to take good care of the Levites who live in your towns; they won't get any property or inheritance of their own as you will.

28. മുമ്മൂന്നു ആണ്ടു കൂടുമ്പോള് മൂന്നാം സംവത്സരത്തില് നിനക്കുള്ള വിളവിന്റെ ദശാംശം ഒക്കെയും; വേര്തിരിച്ചു നിന്റെ പട്ടണങ്ങളില് സംഗ്രഹിക്കേണം.

28. At the end of every third year, gather the tithe from all your produce of that year and put it aside in storage.

29. നീ ചെയ്യുന്ന സകല പ്രവൃത്തിയിലും നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിന്നെ അനുഗ്രഹിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നിന്നോടുകൂടെ ഔഹരിയും അവകാശവും ഇല്ലാത്ത ലേവ്യനും നിന്റെ പട്ടണങ്ങളിലുള്ള പരദേശിയും അനാഥനും വിധവയും വന്നു തിന്നു തൃപ്തരാകേണം.

29. Keep it in reserve for the Levite who won't get any property or inheritance as you will, and for the foreigner, the orphan, and the widow who live in your neighborhood. That way they'll have plenty to eat and GOD, your God, will bless you in all your work.
