1. നിങ്ങള് നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവേക്കു മക്കള് ആകുന്നു; മരിച്ചവന്നു വേണ്ടി നിങ്ങളെ മുറിവേല്പിക്കയോ നിങ്ങള്ക്കു മുന് കഷണ്ടിയുണ്ടാക്കുകയോ ചെയ്യരുതു.
റോമർ 9:4

1. Ye {are} the children of the LORD your God: ye shall not cut yourselves, nor make any baldness between your eyes for the dead.

2. നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവേക്കു നീ വിശുദ്ധജനമല്ലോ; ഭൂതലത്തിലുള്ള സകലജാതികളിലും വെച്ചു തനിക്കു സ്വന്തജനമായിരിപ്പാന് യഹോവ നിന്നെ തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു.

2. For thou {art} a holy people to the LORD thy God, and the LORD hath chosen thee to be a peculiar people to himself, above all the nations that {are} upon the earth.

3. മ്ളേച്ഛമായതൊന്നിനെയും തിന്നരുതു.

3. Thou shalt not eat any abominable thing.

4. നിങ്ങള്ക്കു തിന്നാകുന്ന മൃഗങ്ങള് ആവിതു

4. These {are} the beasts which ye shall eat: the ox, the sheep, and the goat,

5. കാള, ചെമ്മരിയാടു, കോലാടു, കലമാന് , പുള്ളിമാന് , കടമാന് , കാട്ടാടു, ചെറുമാന് മലയാടു കവരിമാന് .

5. The hart, and the roebuck, and the fallow-deer, and the wild-goat, and the pygarg, and the wild ox, and the chamois.

6. മൃഗങ്ങളില് കുളമ്പു പിളര്ന്നതും കുളമ്പു രണ്ടായി പിരിഞ്ഞതും അയവിറക്കുന്നതുമായ മൃഗത്തെ ഒക്കെയും നിങ്ങള്ക്കു തിന്നാം.

6. And every beast that parteth the hoof, and cleaveth the cleft into two claws, {and} cheweth the cud among the beasts, that ye shall eat.

7. എന്നാല് അയവിറക്കുന്നവയിലും കുളമ്പു പിളര്ന്നവയിലും തിന്നരുതാത്തവ ഏവയെന്നാല്ഒട്ടകം, മുയല്, കുഴി മുയല്; അവ അയവിറക്കുന്നു എങ്കിലും കുളമ്പു പിളര്ന്നവയല്ല; അവ നിങ്ങള്ക്കു അശുദ്ധം.

7. Nevertheless, these ye shall not eat, of them that chew the cud, or of them that divide the cloven hoof; the camel, and the hare, and the coney: for they chew the cud, but divide not the hoof; {therefore} they {are} unclean to you.

8. പന്നിഅതു കുളമ്പു പിളര്ന്നതെങ്കിലും അയവിറക്കുന്നില്ല; അതു നിങ്ങള്ക്കു അശുദ്ധം ഇവയുടെ മാംസം തിന്നരുതു; പിണം തൊടുകയും അരുതു.

8. And the swine, because it divideth the hoof, yet cheweth not the cud, {is} unclean to you: ye shall not eat of their flesh, nor touch their dead carcass.

9. വെള്ളത്തിലുള്ള എല്ലാറ്റിലും ചിറകും ചെതുമ്പലും ഉള്ളതൊക്കെയും നിങ്ങള്ക്കു തിന്നാം.

9. These ye shall eat, of all that {are} in the waters: all that have fins and scales shall ye eat:

10. എന്നാല് ചിറകും ചെതുമ്പലും ഇല്ലാത്തതൊന്നും തിന്നരുതു; അതു നിങ്ങള്ക്കു അശുദ്ധം.

10. And whatever hath not fins and scales ye may not eat; it {is} unclean to you.

11. ശുദ്ധിയുള്ള സകലപക്ഷികളെയും നിങ്ങള്ക്കു തിന്നാം.

11. {Of} all clean birds ye shall eat.

12. പക്ഷികളില് തിന്നരുതാത്തവകടല്റാഞ്ചന് , ചെമ്പരുന്തു, കഴുകന് ,

12. But these {are they} of which ye shall not eat: the eagle, and the ossifrage, and the ospray,

13. ചെങ്ങാലിപ്പരുന്തു, ഗൃദ്ധ്രം, അതതുവിധം പരുന്തു

13. And the glede, and the kite, and the vultur after his kind,

14. അതതുവിധം കാക്ക,

14. And every raven after his kind,

15. ഒട്ടകപക്ഷി, പുള്ളു, കടല്ക്കാക്ക, അതതുവിധം പ്രാപ്പിടിയന് ,

15. And the owl, and the night-hawk, and the cuckow, and the hawk after his kind,

16. നത്തു, ക്കുമന് മൂങ്ങാ, വേഴാമ്പല്,

16. The little owl, and the great owl, and the swan,

17. കുടുമ്മച്ചാത്തന് , നീര്കാക്ക,

17. And the pelican, and the gier-eagle, and the cormorant,

18. പെരുഞാറ, അതതുവിധം കൊകൂ, കുളക്കോഴി, നരിച്ചീര് എന്നിവയാകുന്നു.

18. And the stork, and the heron after her kind, and the lapwing, and the bat.

19. ചിറകുള്ള ഇഴജാതിയൊക്കെയും നിങ്ങള്ക്കു അശുദ്ധം; അവയെ തിന്നരുതു.

19. And every creeping animal that flieth {is} unclean to you: they shall not be eaten.

20. ശുദ്ധിയുള്ള പക്ഷികളെയൊക്കെയും നിങ്ങള്ക്കു തിന്നാം.

20. {But of} all clean fowls ye may eat.

21. താനേ ചത്ത ഒന്നിനെയും തിന്നരുതു; അതു നിന്റെ പട്ടണങ്ങളിലുള്ള പരദേശിക്കു തിന്മാന് കൊടുക്കാംഅല്ലെങ്കില് അന്യജാതിക്കാരന്നു വില്ക്കാം; നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവേക്കു നീ വിശുദ്ധജനമല്ലോ. ആട്ടിന് കുട്ടിയെ അതിന്റെ തള്ളയുടെ പാലില് പാകം ചെയ്യരുതു.

21. Ye shall not eat {of} any thing that dieth of itself: thou shalt give it to the stranger that {is} in thy gates, that he may eat it; or thou mayest sell it to an alien: for thou {art} a holy people to the LORD thy God. Thou shalt not seethe a kid in his mother's milk.

22. ആണ്ടുതോറും നിലത്തു വിതെച്ചുണ്ടാകുന്ന എല്ലാവിളവിലും ദശാംശം എടുത്തുവെക്കേണം.

22. Thou shalt truly tithe all the increase of thy seed, that the field bringeth forth year by year.

23. നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയെ എല്ലായ്പോഴും ഭയപ്പെടുവാന് പഠിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ തന്റെ നാമം സ്ഥാപിപ്പാന് തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കുന്ന സ്ഥലത്തു നീ നിന്റെ ധാന്യത്തിന്റെയും വീഞ്ഞിന്റെയും എണ്ണയുടെയും ദശാംശവും നിന്റെ ആടുമാടുകളുടെ കടിഞ്ഞൂലുകളെയും അവന്റെ സന്നിധയില്വെച്ചു തിന്നേണം.

23. And thou shalt eat before the LORD thy God, in the place which he shall choose to place his name there, the tithe of thy corn, of thy wine, and of thy oil, and the firstlings of thy herds and of thy flocks; that thou mayest learn to fear the LORD thy God always.

24. നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിന്നെ അനുഗ്രഹിച്ചിരിക്കുമ്പോള് നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ തന്റെ നാമം സ്ഥാപിപ്പാന് തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കുന്ന സ്ഥലം വളരെ അകലെയും അതുകൊണ്ടുപോകുവാന് കഴിയാതവണ്ണം വഴി അതിദൂരവുമായിരുന്നാല്

24. And if the way is too long for thee, so that thou art not able to carry it; {or} if the place is too far from thee, which the LORD thy God shall choose to set his name there, when the LORD thy God hath blessed thee:

25. അതു വിറ്റു പണമാക്കി പണം കയ്യില് എടുത്തു നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കുന്ന സ്ഥലത്തേക്കു കൊണ്ടുപോകേണം.

25. Then shalt thou turn {it} into money, and bind up the money in thy hand, and shalt go to the place which the LORD thy God shall choose:

26. നിന്റെ ഇഷ്ടംപോലെ മാടോ ആടോ വീഞ്ഞോ മദ്യമോ ഇങ്ങനെ നീ ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്ന ഏതിനെയും ആ പണം കൊടുത്തു വാങ്ങി നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയില്വെച്ചു തിന്നു നീയും നിന്റെ കുടുംബവും സന്തോഷിക്കേണം.

26. And thou shalt bestow that money for whatever thy soul desireth, for oxen, or for sheep, or for wine, or for strong drink, or for whatever thy soul desireth: and thou shalt eat there before the LORD thy God, and thou shalt rejoice, thou, and thy household.

27. നിന്റെ പട്ടണങ്ങളിലുള്ള ലേവ്യനെ മറന്നു കളയരുതു; അവന്നു നിന്നോടുകൂടെ ഔഹരിയും അവകാശവും ഇല്ലല്ലോ.

27. And the Levite that {is} within thy gates, thou shalt not forsake him; for he hath no part nor inheritance with thee.

28. മുമ്മൂന്നു ആണ്ടു കൂടുമ്പോള് മൂന്നാം സംവത്സരത്തില് നിനക്കുള്ള വിളവിന്റെ ദശാംശം ഒക്കെയും; വേര്തിരിച്ചു നിന്റെ പട്ടണങ്ങളില് സംഗ്രഹിക്കേണം.

28. At the end of three years thou shalt bring forth all the tithe of thy increase the same year, and shalt lay {it} up within thy gates:

29. നീ ചെയ്യുന്ന സകല പ്രവൃത്തിയിലും നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിന്നെ അനുഗ്രഹിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നിന്നോടുകൂടെ ഔഹരിയും അവകാശവും ഇല്ലാത്ത ലേവ്യനും നിന്റെ പട്ടണങ്ങളിലുള്ള പരദേശിയും അനാഥനും വിധവയും വന്നു തിന്നു തൃപ്തരാകേണം.

29. And the Levite, (because he hath no part nor inheritance with thee) and the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, who {are} within thy gates, shall come, and shall eat and be satisfied; that the LORD thy God may bless thee in all the work of thy hand which thou doest.
