1. ദാവീദിന്റെ ഒരു ആരോഹണഗീതം.
യോഹന്നാൻ 4:20

1. A Song of Ascents. David's. I was glad, when they were saying unto me, Unto the house of Yahweh, let us go!

2. യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിലേക്കു നമുക്കു പോകാം എന്നു അവര് എന്നോടു പറഞ്ഞപ്പോള് ഞാന് സന്തോഷിച്ചു.

2. Standing are our feet, within thy gates, O Jerusalem!

3. യെരൂശലേമേ, ഞങ്ങളുടെ കാലുകള് നിന്റെ വാതിലുകള്ക്കകത്തു നിലക്കുന്നു.

3. Jerusalem! that hath been builded, A true city, all joined together as one:

4. തമ്മില് ഇണക്കിയ നഗരമായി പണിതിരിക്കുന്ന യെരൂശലേമേ!

4. Whither have come up the tribes, The tribes of Yah, A testimony to Israel, To give thanks unto the Name of Yahweh:

5. അവിടേക്കു ഗോത്രങ്ങള്, യഹോവയുടെ ഗോത്രങ്ങള് തന്നേ, യിസ്രായേലിന്നു സാക്ഷ്യത്തിന്നായി യഹോവയുടെ നാമത്തിന്നു സ്തോത്രം ചെയ്വാന് കയറിച്ചെല്ലുന്നു.

5. For there are set Thrones for justice, Thrones for the house David.

6. അവിടെ ന്യായാസനങ്ങള്, ദാവീദ്ഗൃഹത്തിന്റെ ന്യായാസനങ്ങള് തന്നേ ഇരിക്കുന്നു.

6. Ask ye for the peace of Jerusalem, They shall prosper, who love thee!

7. യെരൂശലേമിന്റെ സമാധാനത്തിന്നായി പ്രാര്ത്ഥിപ്പിന് ; നിന്നെ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നവര് സ്വൈരമായിരിക്കട്ടെ.

7. Peace be within thy walls, prosperity within thy palaces:

8. നിന്റെ കൊത്തളങ്ങളില് സമാധാനവും നിന്റെ അരമനകളില് സ്വൈരവും ഉണ്ടാകട്ടെ.

8. For the sake of my brethren and friends, Oh, might I speak saying , Peace be within thee!

9. എന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരും കൂട്ടാളികളും നിമിത്തം നിന്നില് സമാധാനം ഉണ്ടാകട്ടെ എന്നു ഞാന് പറയും.

9. For the sake of the house of Yahweh our God, will I seek blessing for thee.
