1. ദാവീദിന്റെ ഒരു ആരോഹണഗീതം.
യോഹന്നാൻ 4:20

1. The song of the stairs. I was glad when they said unto me: We will go in to the house of the LORD.

2. യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിലേക്കു നമുക്കു പോകാം എന്നു അവര് എന്നോടു പറഞ്ഞപ്പോള് ഞാന് സന്തോഷിച്ചു.

2. Our feet shall stand in thy gates, O Jerusalem.

3. യെരൂശലേമേ, ഞങ്ങളുടെ കാലുകള് നിന്റെ വാതിലുകള്ക്കകത്തു നിലക്കുന്നു.

3. Jerusalem is builded as a city, that is at unity in itself.

4. തമ്മില് ഇണക്കിയ നഗരമായി പണിതിരിക്കുന്ന യെരൂശലേമേ!

4. For there the tribes go up, even the tribes of the LORD: to testify unto Israel, to give thanks unto the name of the LORD.

5. അവിടേക്കു ഗോത്രങ്ങള്, യഹോവയുടെ ഗോത്രങ്ങള് തന്നേ, യിസ്രായേലിന്നു സാക്ഷ്യത്തിന്നായി യഹോവയുടെ നാമത്തിന്നു സ്തോത്രം ചെയ്വാന് കയറിച്ചെല്ലുന്നു.

5. For there is the seat of judgment, even the seat of the house of David.

6. അവിടെ ന്യായാസനങ്ങള്, ദാവീദ്ഗൃഹത്തിന്റെ ന്യായാസനങ്ങള് തന്നേ ഇരിക്കുന്നു.

6. O pray for the peace of Jerusalem, they shall prosper that love thee.

7. യെരൂശലേമിന്റെ സമാധാനത്തിന്നായി പ്രാര്ത്ഥിപ്പിന് ; നിന്നെ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നവര് സ്വൈരമായിരിക്കട്ടെ.

7. Peace be within thy walls, and plenteousness within thy palaces.

8. നിന്റെ കൊത്തളങ്ങളില് സമാധാനവും നിന്റെ അരമനകളില് സ്വൈരവും ഉണ്ടാകട്ടെ.

8. For my brethren and companions' sakes, I will wish thee prosperity.

9. എന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരും കൂട്ടാളികളും നിമിത്തം നിന്നില് സമാധാനം ഉണ്ടാകട്ടെ എന്നു ഞാന് പറയും.

9. Yea because of the house of the LORD our God, I will seek to do thee good.
