1. യഹോവേ, ക്രോധത്തോടെ എന്നെ ശിക്ഷിക്കരുതേ. ഉഗ്രനീരസത്തോടെ എന്നെ ദണ്ഡിപ്പിക്കയുമരുതേ.

1. A Melody of David. To bring to Remembrance. O Yahweh, do not, in thine anger, correct me, nor, in thy wrath, chastise me;

2. നിന്റെ അസ്ത്രങ്ങള് എന്നില് തറെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; നിന്റെ കൈ എന്റെ മേല് ഭാരമായിരിക്കുന്നു.

2. For, thine arrows, have sunk down into me, and thy hand, presseth heavily upon me.

3. നിന്റെ നീരസം ഹേതുവായി എന്റെ ദേഹത്തില് സൌഖ്യമില്ല; എന്റെ പാപം ഹേതുവായി എന്റെ അസ്ഥികളില് സ്വസ്ഥതയുമില്ല.

3. There is no soundness in my flesh, By reason of thine indignation, There is no peace in my bones, By reason of my sin;

4. എന്റെ അകൃത്യങ്ങള് എന്റെ തലെക്കുമീതെ കവിഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു; ഭാരമുള്ള ചുമടുപോലെ അവ എനിക്കു അതിഘനമായിരിക്കുന്നു.

4. For, mine iniquities, have passed over my head, Like a heavy burden, they are too heavy for me:

5. എന്റെ ഭോഷത്വംഹേതുവായി എന്റെ വ്രണങ്ങള് ചീഞ്ഞുനാറുന്നു.

5. My wounds are of bad odour they have festered, by reason of my folly:

6. ഞാന് കുനിഞ്ഞു ഏറ്റവും കൂനിയിരിക്കുന്നു; ഞാന് ഇടവിടാതെ ദുഃഖിച്ചുനടക്കുന്നു.

6. I am bent, I am bowed down very low. All the day, have I gloomily walked;

7. എന്റെ അരയില് വരള്ച നിറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ ദേഹത്തില് സൌഖ്യമില്ല.

7. For, my loins, are filled with inflammation, and there is no soundness in my flesh:

8. ഞാന് ക്ഷീണിച്ചു അത്യന്തം തകര്ന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തിലെ ഞരക്കംനിമിത്തം ഞാന് അലറുന്നു. കര്ത്താവേ, എന്റെ ആഗ്രഹം ഒക്കെയും നിന്റെ മുമ്പില് ഇരിക്കുന്നു. എന്റെ ഞരക്കം നിനക്കു മറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നതുമില്ല.

8. I am benumbed and crushed exceedingly, I have cried aloud because of the groaning of my heart.

9. എന്റെ നെഞ്ചിടിക്കുന്നു; ഞാന് വശംകെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ കണ്ണിന്റെ വെളിച്ചവും എനിക്കില്ലാതെയായി.

9. O My Lord! before thee, is all my longing, and, my sighing, from thee, hath not been hid:

10. എന്റെ സ്നേഹിതന്മാരും കൂട്ടുകാരും എന്റെ ബാധ കണ്ടു മാറിനിലക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ ചാര്ച്ചക്കാരും അകന്നുനിലക്കുന്നു.

10. My heart, fluttereth, my strength hath forsaken me, and, as for the light of mine eyes, even they, are not with me:

11. എനിക്കു പ്രാണഹാനി വരുത്തുവാന് നോക്കുന്നവര് കണിവെക്കുന്നു; എനിക്കു അനര്ത്ഥം അന്വേഷിക്കുന്നവര് വേണ്ടാതനം സംസാരിക്കുന്നു; അവര് ഇടവിടാതെ ചതിവു ചിന്തിക്കുന്നു.

11. My lovers, and my friends, from before my stroke, stand aloof, and, my near ones, far away, do stand:

12. എങ്കിലും ഞാന് ചെകിടനെപ്പോലെ കേള്ക്കാതെ ഇരുന്നു; വായ്തുറക്കാതെ ഊമനെപ്പോലെ ആയിരുന്നു.

12. Yea they who are seeking my life, have laid snares, and they who are asking my harm, have threatened engulfing ruin, And, deceitful things all day long, do they mutter.

13. ഞാന് , കേള്ക്കാത്ത മനുഷ്യനെപ്പോലെയും വായില് പ്രതിവാദമില്ലാത്തവനെപ്പോലെയും ആയിരുന്നു.

13. But, I, as one deaf, will not hear, and as one dumb, who will not open his mouth:

14. യഹോവേ, നിങ്കല് ഞാന് പ്രത്യാശ വെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ ദൈവമായ കര്ത്താവേ, നീ ഉത്തരം അരുളും.

14. Thus have I become as a man who cannot hear, in whose mouth are no arguments:

15. അവര് എന്നെച്ചൊല്ലി സന്തോഷിക്കരുതേ എന്നു ഞാന് പറഞ്ഞു; എന്റെ കാല് വഴുതുമ്പോള് അവര് എന്റെ നേരെ വമ്പു പറയുമല്ലോ.

15. Because, for thee, O Yahweh, have I waited, Thou, wilt answer, O Adonay, my God!

16. ഞാന് ഇടറി വീഴുമാറായിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ ദുഃഖം എപ്പോഴും എന്റെ മുമ്പില് ഇരിക്കുന്നു.

16. For I said, Lest they rejoice over me! When my feet were tottering, against me, have they magnified themselves:

17. ഞാന് എന്റെ അകൃത്യത്തെ ഏറ്റുപറയുന്നു; എന്റെ പാപത്തെക്കുറിച്ചു ദുഃഖിക്കുന്നു.

17. For, I, to halt, am ready, and, my pain, is before me continually;

18. എന്റെ ശത്രുക്കളോ ജീവനും ബലവുമുള്ളവര്. എന്നെ വെറുതെ പകെക്കുന്നവര് പെരുകിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

18. For, mine iniquity, will I declare, I shall be anxious because of my sin;

19. ഞാന് നന്മ പിന്തുടരുകയാല് അവര് എനിക്കു വിരോധികളായി നന്മെക്കു പകരം തിന്മ ചെയ്യുന്നു.

19. And, my foes, are alive have become strong, and multiplied are they who hate me for false cause:

20. യഹോവേ, എന്നെ കൈവിടരുതേ; എന്റെ ദൈവമേ, എന്നോടകന്നിരിക്കരുതേ.

20. Even they who are repaying evil for good, accuse me because I pursue the good.

21. എന്റെ രക്ഷയാകുന്ന കര്ത്താവേ, എന്റെ സഹായത്തിന്നു വേഗം വരേണമേ.

21. Do not forsake me, O Yahweh, My God! be not far from me:
