1. യഹോവ പിന്നെയും മോശെയോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതു

1. The Lord spoke to Moses. He said,

2. നീ അഹരോനോടും പുത്രന്മാരോടും എല്ലായിസ്രായേല്മക്കളോടും പറയേണ്ടതു എന്തെന്നാല്യഹോവ കല്പിച്ച കാര്യം ആവിതു

2. 'Speak to Aaron and his sons. Speak to all of the people of Israel. Tell them, 'Here is what the Lord has commanded. He has said,

3. യിസ്രായേല്ഗൃഹത്തില് ആരെങ്കിലും കാളയെയോ ആട്ടിന് കുട്ടിയെയോ കോലാടിനെയോ പാളയത്തില്വെച്ചെങ്കിലും പാളയത്തിന്നു പുറത്തുവെച്ചെങ്കിലും അറുക്കയും

3. 'Suppose someone sacrifices an ox, a lamb or a goat. He sacrifices it in the camp or outside of it.

4. അതിനെ യഹോവയുടെ കൂടാരത്തിന്റെ മുമ്പില് യഹോവേക്കു വഴിപാടായി അര്പ്പിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു സമാഗമനക്കുടാരത്തിന്റെ വാതില്ക്കല് കൊണ്ടുവരാതിരിക്കയും ചെയ്താല് അതു അവന്നു രക്തപാതകമായി എണ്ണേണം; അവന് രക്തം ചൊരിയിച്ചു; ആ മനുഷ്യനെ അവന്റെ ജനത്തിന്റെ നടുവില്നിന്നു ഛേദിച്ചുകളയേണം.

4. He does it instead of bringing the animal to the entrance to the Tent of Meeting. He sacrifices it instead of giving it as an offering to me in front of my holy tent. Then he will be thought of as guilty of spilling blood. Because he has done that, he must be cut off from his people.

5. യിസ്രായേല്മക്കള് വെളിന് പ്രദേശത്തുവെച്ചു അര്പ്പിച്ചു വരുന്ന യാഗങ്ങളെ യഹോവേക്കു സമാധാനയാഗങ്ങളായി അര്പ്പിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു സമാഗമനക്കുടാരത്തിന്റെ വാതില്ക്കല് പുരോഹിതന്റെ അടുക്കല് യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയില് കൊണ്ടുവരേണ്ടതാകുന്നു.

5. ' ' 'The people of Israel are now making sacrifices in the open fields. But they must bring their sacrifices to the priest. They must bring them to me at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting. There they must sacrifice them as friendship offerings.

6. പുരോഹിതന് അവയുടെ രക്തം സമാഗമന കൂടാരത്തിന്റെ വാതില്ക്കല് യഹോവയുടെ യാഗപീഠത്തിന്മേല് തളിച്ചു മേദസ്സു യഹോവേക്കു സൌരഭ്യവാസനയായി ദഹിപ്പിക്കേണം.

6. The priest must sprinkle the blood against my altar. It is the altar at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting. He must burn the fat. It will give a pleasant smell to me.

7. ' ' 'Israel must stop offering any of their sacrifices to statues of gods that look like goats. When they offer sacrifices to those statues, they are not faithful to me. That is a law for them that will last for all time to come.' '

8. 'Tell them, 'Suppose someone offers a burnt offering or sacrifice. It does not matter whether he is an Israelite or an outsider.

9. അതു യഹോവേക്കു അര്പ്പിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു സമാഗമനക്കുടാരത്തിന്റെ വാതില്ക്കല് കൊണ്ടുവരാതിരിക്കയും ചെയ്താല് അവനെ അവന്റെ ജനത്തില്നിന്നു ഛേദിച്ചുകളയേണം.

9. And suppose he does not bring it to the entrance to the Tent of Meeting to sacrifice it to me. Then he must be cut off from his people.

10. യിസ്രായേല്ഗൃഹത്തിലോ നിങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയില് പാര്ക്കുംന്ന പരദേശികളിലോ ആരെങ്കിലും വല്ല രക്തവും ഭക്ഷിച്ചാല് രക്തം ഭക്ഷിച്ചവന്റെ നേരെ ഞാന് ദൃഷ്ടിവെച്ചു അവനെ അവന്റെ ജനത്തിന്റെ ഇടയില്നിന്നു ഛേദിച്ചുകളയും.

10. ' 'Suppose someone eats meat that still has blood in it. It does not matter whether he is an Israelite or an outsider. I will turn against him if he eats it. I will cut him off from his people.

11. മാംസത്തിന്റെ ജീവന് രക്തത്തില് അല്ലോ ഇരിക്കുന്നതു; യാഗപീഠത്തിന്മേല് നിങ്ങള്ക്കുവേണ്ടി പ്രായശ്ചിത്തം കഴിപ്പാന് ഞാന് അതു നിങ്ങള്ക്കു തന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; രക്തമല്ലോ ജീവന് മൂലമായി പ്രായശ്ചിത്തം ആകുന്നതു.

11. 'The life of each creature is in its blood. So I have given you the blood of animals to pay for your sin on the altar. Blood is life. That is why blood pays for your sin.

12. ' 'So I say to the people of Israel, 'You must not eat meat that still has blood in it. And an outsider who lives among you must not eat it either.'

13. യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളിലോ നിങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയില് പാര്ക്കുംന്ന പരദേശികളിലോ ആരെങ്കിലും തിന്നാകുന്ന ഒരു മൃഗത്തെയോ പക്ഷിയെയോ വേട്ടയാടി പിടിച്ചാല് അവന് അതിന്റെ രക്തം കളഞ്ഞു മണ്ണിട്ടു മൂടേണം.

13. ' 'Suppose any of you hunts any animal or bird that can be eaten. It does not matter whether you are an Israelite or an outsider. You must let the blood flow out of the animal or bird. You must cover the blood with dirt.

14. സകലജഡത്തിന്റെയും ജീവന് അതിന്റെ ജീവാധാരമായ രക്തം തന്നേ. അതുകൊണ്ടത്രേ ഞാന് യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളോടുയാതൊരു ജഡത്തിന്റെ രക്തവും നിങ്ങള് ഭക്ഷിക്കരുതു എന്നു കല്പിച്ചതു; സകലജഡത്തിന്റെയും ജീവന് അതിന്റെ രക്തമല്ലോ; അതു ഭക്ഷിക്കുന്നവനെയെല്ലാം ഛേദിച്ചുകളയേണം.

14. ' 'That is because every creature's life is its blood. And that is why I have said to the people of Israel, 'You must not eat any creature's meat that still has blood in it. Every creature's life is its blood. Anyone who eats that kind of meat must be cut off.'

15. താനേ ചത്തതിനെയോ പറിച്ചുകീറിപ്പോയതിനെയോ തിന്നുന്നവനൊക്കെയും സ്വദേശിയായാലും പരദേശിയായാലും വസ്ത്രം അലക്കി വെള്ളത്തില് കുളിക്കയും സന്ധ്യവരെ അശുദ്ധനായിരിക്കയും വേണം; പിന്നെ അവന് ശുദ്ധിയുള്ളവനാകും.

15. ' 'Suppose someone eats anything that is found dead or is torn apart by wild animals. It does not matter whether he is an Israelite or an outsider. He must wash his clothes. He must take a bath. He will be 'unclean' until evening. After that, he will be 'clean.'

16. വസ്ത്രം അലക്കാതെയും ദേഹം കഴുകാതെയും ഇരുന്നാല് അവന് കുറ്റം വഹിക്കേണം.

16. ' 'But suppose he does not wash his clothes. And suppose he does not take a bath. Then he will be held accountable for what he has done.' '
