1. യഹോവ പിന്നെയും മോശെയോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതു

1. The LORD gave these instructions to Moses:

2. സകലകുഷ്ഠരോഗിയെയും സകല സ്രവക്കാരനെയും ശവത്താല് അശുദ്ധനായ ഏവനെയും പാളയത്തില് നിന്നു പുറത്താക്കുവാന് യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളോടു കല്പിക്ക.

2. 'Command the people of Israel to remove from the camp anyone who has a skin disease or a discharge, or who has become ceremonially unclean by touching a dead person.

3. ആണായാലും പെണ്ണായാലും അവരെ പാളയത്തില്നിന്നു പുറത്താക്കേണം; ഞാന് അവരുടെ മദ്ധ്യേ വസിക്കയാല് അവര് തങ്ങളുടെ പാളയം അശുദ്ധമാക്കരുതു.

3. This command applies to men and women alike. Remove them so they will not defile the camp in which I live among them.'

4. യിസ്രായേല്മക്കള് അങ്ങനെ ചെയ്തു അവരെ പാളയത്തില് നിന്നു പുറത്താക്കി; യഹോവ മോശെയോടു കല്പിച്ചതുപോലെ തന്നേ യിസ്രായേല്മക്കള് ചെയ്തു.

4. So the Israelites did as the LORD had commanded Moses and removed such people from the camp.

5. യഹോവ പിന്നെയും മോശെയോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതു

5. Then the LORD said to Moses,

6. നീ യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളോടു പറകഒരു പുരുഷനോ സ്ത്രീയോ യഹോവയോടു ദ്രോഹിച്ചു മനുഷ്യരുടെ ഇടയില് നടപ്പുള്ള വല്ല പാപവും ചെയ്തിട്ടു കുറ്റക്കാരായാല് ചെയ്ത പാപം

6. 'Give the following instructions to the people of Israel: If any of the people-- men or women-- betray the LORD by doing wrong to another person, they are guilty.

7. അവര് ഏറ്റുപറകയും തങ്ങളുടെ അകൃത്യത്തിന്നു പ്രതിശാന്തിയായി മുതലും അതിന്റെ അഞ്ചിലൊന്നും കൂട്ടി, തങ്ങള് അകൃത്യം ചെയ്തവന്നു പകരം കൊടുക്കേണം.

7. They must confess their sin and make full restitution for what they have done, adding an additional 20 percent and returning it to the person who was wronged.

9. യിസ്രായേല്മക്കള് പുരോഹിതന്റെ അടുക്കല് കൊണ്ടുവരുന്ന സകലവിശുദ്ധവസ്തുക്കളിലും ഉദര്ച്ചയായതൊക്കെയും അവന്നു ഇരിക്കേണം.

9. All the sacred offerings that the Israelites bring to a priest will belong to him.

10. ആരെങ്കിലും ശുദ്ധീകരിച്ചര്പ്പിക്കുന്ന വസ്തുക്കള് അവന്നുള്ളവയായിരിക്കേണം; ആരെങ്കിലും പുരോഹിതന്നു കൊടുക്കുന്നതെല്ലാം അവന്നുള്ളതായിരിക്കേണം.

10. Each priest may keep all the sacred donations that he receives.'

11. യഹോവ പിന്നെയും മോശെയോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതു.

11. And the LORD said to Moses,

12. നീ യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളോടു പറയേണ്ടതു എന്തെന്നാല്വല്ല പുരുഷന്റെയും ഭാര്യ പിഴെച്ചു അവനോടു ദ്രോഹിച്ചു,

12. 'Give the following instructions to the people of Israel.'Suppose a man's wife goes astray, and she is unfaithful to her husband

13. ഒരുത്തന് അവളോടുകൂടെ ശയിക്കയും അതു അവളുടെ ഭര്ത്താവിന്നു വെളിപ്പെടാതെ മറവായിരിക്കയും അവള് അശുദ്ധയാകയും അവള്ക്കു വിരോധമായി സാക്ഷിയില്ലാതിരക്കയും

13. and has sex with another man, but neither her husband nor anyone else knows about it. She has defiled herself, even though there was no witness and she was not caught in the act.

14. അവള് ക്രിയയില് പിടിപെടാതിരിക്കയും ശങ്കാവിഷം അവനെ ബാധിച്ചു അവന് ഭാര്യയെ സംശയിക്കയും അവള് അശുദ്ധയായിരിക്കയും ചെയ്താല്, അല്ലെങ്കില് ശങ്കാവിഷം അവനെ ബാധിച്ചു അവന് ഭാര്യയെ സംശയിക്കയും അവള് അശുദ്ധയല്ലാതിരിക്കയും ചെയ്താല്

14. If her husband becomes jealous and is suspicious of his wife and needs to know whether or not she has defiled herself,

15. ആ പുരുഷന് ഭാര്യയെ പുരോഹിതന്റെ അടുക്കല് കൊണ്ടുചെല്ലേണം; അവള്ക്കുവേണ്ടി വഴിപാടായിട്ടു ഒരിടങ്ങഴി യവപ്പൊടിയും കൊണ്ടുചെല്ലേണം; അതിന്മേല് എണ്ണ ഒഴിക്കരുതു; കുന്തുരുക്കം ഇടുകയും അരുതു; അതു സംശയത്തിന്റെ ഭോജനയാഗമല്ലോ, അപരാധജ്ഞാപകമായ ഭോജനയാഗം തന്നേ.

15. the husband must bring his wife to the priest. He must also bring an offering of two quarts of barley flour to be presented on her behalf. Do not mix it with olive oil or frankincense, for it is a jealousy offering-- an offering to prove whether or not she is guilty.

16. പുരോഹിതന് അവളെ അടുക്കല് വരുത്തി യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയില് നിര്ത്തേണം.

16. 'The priest will then present her to stand trial before the LORD.

17. പുരോഹിതന് ഒരു മണ്പാത്രത്തില് വിശുദ്ധജലം എടുക്കേണം; പുരോഹിതന് തിരുനിവാസത്തിന്റെ നിലത്തെ പൊടി കുറെ എടുത്തു ആ വെള്ളത്തില് ഇടേണം.

17. He must take some holy water in a clay jar and pour into it dust he has taken from the Tabernacle floor.

18. പുരോഹിതന് സ്ത്രീയെ യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയില് നിര്ത്തി അവളുടെ തലമുടി അഴിച്ചു അപരാധജ്ഞാപകത്തിന്റെ ഭോജനയാഗം അവളുടെ കയ്യില് വെക്കേണം; പുരോഹിതന്റെ കയ്യില് ശാപകരമായ കൈപ്പുവെള്ളവും ഉണ്ടായിരിക്കേണം.

18. When the priest has presented the woman before the LORD, he must unbind her hair and place in her hands the offering of proof-- the jealousy offering to determine whether her husband's suspicions are justified. The priest will stand before her, holding the jar of bitter water that brings a curse to those who are guilty.

19. പുരോഹിതന് അവളെക്കൊണ്ടു സത്യം ചെയ്യിച്ചു അവളോടു പറയേണ്ടതുആരും നിന്നോടുകൂടെ ശയിക്കയും നിനക്കു ഭര്ത്താവുണ്ടായിരിക്കെ നീ അശുദ്ധിയിലേക്കു തിരികയും ചെയ്തിട്ടില്ല എങ്കില് ശാപകരമായ ഈ കൈപ്പുവെള്ളത്തിന്റെ ദോഷം നിനക്കു വരാതിരിക്കട്ടെ.

19. The priest will then put the woman under oath and say to her, 'If no other man has had sex with you, and you have not gone astray and defiled yourself while under your husband's authority, may you be immune from the effects of this bitter water that brings on the curse.

20. എന്നാല് നിനക്കു ഭാര്ത്താവുണ്ടായിരിക്കെ നീ പിഴെച്ചു അശുദ്ധയാകയും നിന്റെ ഭര്ത്താവല്ലാതെ മറ്റൊരു പുരുഷന് നിന്നോടുകൂടെ ശയിക്കയും ചെയ്തിട്ടുണ്ടെങ്കില് -

20. But if you have gone astray by being unfaithful to your husband, and have defiled yourself by having sex with another man--'

21. അപ്പോള് പുരോഹിതന് സ്ത്രീയെക്കൊണ്ടു ശാപസത്യം ചെയ്യിച്ചു അവളോടുയഹോവ നിന്റെ നിതംബം ക്ഷയിപ്പിക്കയും ഉദരം വീര്പ്പിക്കയും ചെയ്തു നിന്റെ ജനത്തിന്റെ ഇടയില് നിന്നെ ശാപവും പ്രാക്കും ആക്കിത്തീര്ക്കട്ടെ.

21. 'At this point the priest must put the woman under oath by saying, 'May the people know that the LORD's curse is upon you when he makes you infertile, causing your womb to shrivel and your abdomen to swell.

22. ശാപകരമായ ഈ വെള്ളം നിന്റെ കുടലില് ചെന്നു നിന്റെ ഉദരം വീര്പ്പിക്കയും നിന്റെ നിതംബം ക്ഷിയിപ്പിക്കയും ചെയ്യും എന്നു പറയേണം. അതിന്നു സ്ത്രീആമെന് , ആമെന് എന്നു പറയേണം.

22. Now may this water that brings the curse enter your body and cause your abdomen to swell and your womb to shrivel. ' And the woman will be required to say, 'Yes, let it be so.'

23. പുരോഹിതന് ഈ ശാപങ്ങള് ഒരു പുസ്തകത്തില് എഴുതി കൈപ്പുവെള്ളത്തില് കഴുകി കലക്കേണം.

23. And the priest will write these curses on a piece of leather and wash them off into the bitter water.

24. അവന് ശാപകരമായ കൈപ്പുവെള്ളം സ്ത്രീയെ കുടിപ്പിക്കേണം; ശാപകരമായ വെള്ളം അവളുടെ ഉള്ളില് ചെന്നു കൈപ്പായ്തീരും;

24. He will make the woman drink the bitter water that brings on the curse. When the water enters her body, it will cause bitter suffering if she is guilty.

25. പുരോഹിതന് സ്ത്രീയുടെ കയ്യില്നിന്നു സംശയത്തിന്റെ ഭോജനയാഗം വാങ്ങി യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയില് നീരാജനം ചെയ്തു യാഗപീഠത്തിന്മേല് അര്പ്പിക്കേണം.

25. 'The priest will take the jealousy offering from the woman's hand, lift it up before the LORD, and carry it to the altar.

26. പിന്നെ പുരോഹിതന് ഭോജനയാഗത്തില് ഒരു പിടി എടുത്തു യാഗപീഠത്തിന്മേല് നിവേദ്യമായി ദഹിപ്പിക്കേണം; അതിന്റെ ശേഷം സ്ത്രീയെ ആ വെള്ളം കുടിപ്പിക്കേണം.

26. He will take a handful of the flour as a token portion and burn it on the altar, and he will require the woman to drink the water.

27. അവള് അശുദ്ധയായി തന്റെ ഭര്ത്താവോടു ദ്രോഹം ചെയ്തിട്ടുണ്ടെങ്കില് അവളെ വെള്ളം കുടിപ്പിച്ച ശേഷം ശാപകരമായ വെള്ളം അവളുടെ ഉള്ളില് ചെന്നു കൈപ്പായ്തീരും; അവളുടെ ഉദരം വീര്ക്കയും നിതംബം ക്ഷയിക്കയും സ്ത്രീ തന്റെ ജനത്തിന്റെ ഇടയില് ശാപഗ്രസ്തയായിരിക്കയും ചെയ്യും.

27. If she has defiled herself by being unfaithful to her husband, the water that brings on the curse will cause bitter suffering. Her abdomen will swell and her womb will shrink, and her name will become a curse among her people.

28. എന്നാല് സ്ത്രീ അശുദ്ധയാകാതെ നിര്മ്മല ആകുന്നു എങ്കില് അവള്ക്കു ദോഷം വരികയില്ല; അവള് ഗര്ഭം ധരിക്കും.

28. But if she has not defiled herself and is pure, then she will be unharmed and will still be able to have children.

29. ഇതാകുന്നു പാതിവ്രത്യസംശയം സംബന്ധിച്ചുള്ള പ്രമാണം;

29. 'This is the ritual law for dealing with suspicion. If a woman goes astray and defiles herself while under her husband's authority,

30. ഒരു സ്ത്രീ ഭര്ത്താവുണ്ടായിരിക്കെ പിഴെച്ചു അശുദ്ധയാകയോ ശങ്കാവിഷം അവനെ ബാധിച്ചു, അവന് ഭാര്യയെ സംശയിക്കയോ ചെയ്തിട്ടു അവളെ യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയില് നിര്ത്തുമ്പോള് പുരോഹിതന് ഈ പ്രമാണമൊക്കെയും അവളില് നടത്തേണം.

30. or if a man becomes jealous and is suspicious that his wife has been unfaithful, the husband must present his wife before the LORD, and the priest will apply this entire ritual law to her.

31. എന്നാല് പുരുഷന് അകൃത്യത്തില് ഔഹരിക്കാരനാകയില്ല; സ്ത്രീയോ തന്റെ അകൃത്യം വഹിക്കും.

31. The husband will be innocent of any guilt in this matter, but his wife will be held accountable for her sin.'
