1. യഹോവ പിന്നെയും മോശെയോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതു

1. And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,

2. സകലകുഷ്ഠരോഗിയെയും സകല സ്രവക്കാരനെയും ശവത്താല് അശുദ്ധനായ ഏവനെയും പാളയത്തില് നിന്നു പുറത്താക്കുവാന് യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളോടു കല്പിക്ക.

2. Command the children of Israel, and let them send forth out of the camp every leper, and everyone who has in issue of the reins, and everyone who is unclean from a dead body.

3. ആണായാലും പെണ്ണായാലും അവരെ പാളയത്തില്നിന്നു പുറത്താക്കേണം; ഞാന് അവരുടെ മദ്ധ്യേ വസിക്കയാല് അവര് തങ്ങളുടെ പാളയം അശുദ്ധമാക്കരുതു.

3. Whether male or female, send them forth out of the camp; and they shall not defile their camps in which I dwell among them.

4. യിസ്രായേല്മക്കള് അങ്ങനെ ചെയ്തു അവരെ പാളയത്തില് നിന്നു പുറത്താക്കി; യഹോവ മോശെയോടു കല്പിച്ചതുപോലെ തന്നേ യിസ്രായേല്മക്കള് ചെയ്തു.

4. And the children of Israel did so, and sent them out of the camp: as the Lord said to Moses, so did the children of Israel.

5. യഹോവ പിന്നെയും മോശെയോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതു

5. And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,

6. നീ യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളോടു പറകഒരു പുരുഷനോ സ്ത്രീയോ യഹോവയോടു ദ്രോഹിച്ചു മനുഷ്യരുടെ ഇടയില് നടപ്പുള്ള വല്ല പാപവും ചെയ്തിട്ടു കുറ്റക്കാരായാല് ചെയ്ത പാപം

6. Speak to the children of Israel, saying, Every man or woman who shall commit any sin that is common to man, or if that soul shall have neglected the commandment and transgressed;

7. അവര് ഏറ്റുപറകയും തങ്ങളുടെ അകൃത്യത്തിന്നു പ്രതിശാന്തിയായി മുതലും അതിന്റെ അഞ്ചിലൊന്നും കൂട്ടി, തങ്ങള് അകൃത്യം ചെയ്തവന്നു പകരം കൊടുക്കേണം.

7. [that person] shall confess the sin which he has committed, and shall make satisfaction for his trespass: he [shall pay] the principal, and shall add to it the fifth part, and shall make restoration to him against whom he has trespassed

9. യിസ്രായേല്മക്കള് പുരോഹിതന്റെ അടുക്കല് കൊണ്ടുവരുന്ന സകലവിശുദ്ധവസ്തുക്കളിലും ഉദര്ച്ചയായതൊക്കെയും അവന്നു ഇരിക്കേണം.

9. And every firstfruits in all the sanctified things among the children of Israel, whatsoever they shall offer to the Lord, shall be for the priest himself.

10. ആരെങ്കിലും ശുദ്ധീകരിച്ചര്പ്പിക്കുന്ന വസ്തുക്കള് അവന്നുള്ളവയായിരിക്കേണം; ആരെങ്കിലും പുരോഹിതന്നു കൊടുക്കുന്നതെല്ലാം അവന്നുള്ളതായിരിക്കേണം.

10. And the hallowed things of every man shall be his; and whatever man shall give [anything] to the priest, the gift shall be his.

11. യഹോവ പിന്നെയും മോശെയോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതു.

11. And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,

12. നീ യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളോടു പറയേണ്ടതു എന്തെന്നാല്വല്ല പുരുഷന്റെയും ഭാര്യ പിഴെച്ചു അവനോടു ദ്രോഹിച്ചു,

12. Speak to the children of Israel, and you shall say to them, If any man's wife shall transgress against him, and slight and despise him,

13. ഒരുത്തന് അവളോടുകൂടെ ശയിക്കയും അതു അവളുടെ ഭര്ത്താവിന്നു വെളിപ്പെടാതെ മറവായിരിക്കയും അവള് അശുദ്ധയാകയും അവള്ക്കു വിരോധമായി സാക്ഷിയില്ലാതിരക്കയും

13. and [supposing] anyone shall lie with her carnally, and the thing shall be hid from the eyes of her husband, and she should conceal it and be herself defiled, and there be no witness with her, and she should not be taken;

14. അവള് ക്രിയയില് പിടിപെടാതിരിക്കയും ശങ്കാവിഷം അവനെ ബാധിച്ചു അവന് ഭാര്യയെ സംശയിക്കയും അവള് അശുദ്ധയായിരിക്കയും ചെയ്താല്, അല്ലെങ്കില് ശങ്കാവിഷം അവനെ ബാധിച്ചു അവന് ഭാര്യയെ സംശയിക്കയും അവള് അശുദ്ധയല്ലാതിരിക്കയും ചെയ്താല്

14. and there should come upon him a spirit of jealousy, and he should be jealous of his wife, and she be defiled; or there should come upon him a spirit of jealousy, and he should be jealous of his wife, and she should not be defiled;

15. ആ പുരുഷന് ഭാര്യയെ പുരോഹിതന്റെ അടുക്കല് കൊണ്ടുചെല്ലേണം; അവള്ക്കുവേണ്ടി വഴിപാടായിട്ടു ഒരിടങ്ങഴി യവപ്പൊടിയും കൊണ്ടുചെല്ലേണം; അതിന്മേല് എണ്ണ ഒഴിക്കരുതു; കുന്തുരുക്കം ഇടുകയും അരുതു; അതു സംശയത്തിന്റെ ഭോജനയാഗമല്ലോ, അപരാധജ്ഞാപകമായ ഭോജനയാഗം തന്നേ.

15. then shall the man bring his wife to the priest, and shall bring his gift for her, the tenth part of an ephah of barley meal. He shall not pour oil upon it, neither shall he put frankincense upon it; for it is a sacrifice of jealousy, a sacrifice of memorial, recalling sin to remembrance.

16. പുരോഹിതന് അവളെ അടുക്കല് വരുത്തി യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയില് നിര്ത്തേണം.

16. And the priest shall bring her, and cause her to stand before the Lord.

17. പുരോഹിതന് ഒരു മണ്പാത്രത്തില് വിശുദ്ധജലം എടുക്കേണം; പുരോഹിതന് തിരുനിവാസത്തിന്റെ നിലത്തെ പൊടി കുറെ എടുത്തു ആ വെള്ളത്തില് ഇടേണം.

17. And the priest shall take pure running water in an earthen vessel, and he shall take of the dust that is on the floor of the tabernacle of witness, and the priest, having taken it, shall cast it into the water.

18. പുരോഹിതന് സ്ത്രീയെ യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയില് നിര്ത്തി അവളുടെ തലമുടി അഴിച്ചു അപരാധജ്ഞാപകത്തിന്റെ ഭോജനയാഗം അവളുടെ കയ്യില് വെക്കേണം; പുരോഹിതന്റെ കയ്യില് ശാപകരമായ കൈപ്പുവെള്ളവും ഉണ്ടായിരിക്കേണം.

18. And the priest shall cause the woman to stand before the Lord, and shall uncover the head of the woman, and shall put into her hands the sacrifice of memorial, the sacrifice of jealousy; and in the hand of the priest shall be the water of this conviction that brings the curse.

19. പുരോഹിതന് അവളെക്കൊണ്ടു സത്യം ചെയ്യിച്ചു അവളോടു പറയേണ്ടതുആരും നിന്നോടുകൂടെ ശയിക്കയും നിനക്കു ഭര്ത്താവുണ്ടായിരിക്കെ നീ അശുദ്ധിയിലേക്കു തിരികയും ചെയ്തിട്ടില്ല എങ്കില് ശാപകരമായ ഈ കൈപ്പുവെള്ളത്തിന്റെ ദോഷം നിനക്കു വരാതിരിക്കട്ടെ.

19. And the priest shall adjure her, and shall say to the woman, If no one has lain with you, and if you have not transgressed so as to be polluted, being under the power of your husband, be free from this water of the conviction that causes the curse.

20. എന്നാല് നിനക്കു ഭാര്ത്താവുണ്ടായിരിക്കെ നീ പിഴെച്ചു അശുദ്ധയാകയും നിന്റെ ഭര്ത്താവല്ലാതെ മറ്റൊരു പുരുഷന് നിന്നോടുകൂടെ ശയിക്കയും ചെയ്തിട്ടുണ്ടെങ്കില് -

20. But if being a married woman you have transgressed, or been polluted, and anyone has lain with you, beside your husband,

21. അപ്പോള് പുരോഹിതന് സ്ത്രീയെക്കൊണ്ടു ശാപസത്യം ചെയ്യിച്ചു അവളോടുയഹോവ നിന്റെ നിതംബം ക്ഷയിപ്പിക്കയും ഉദരം വീര്പ്പിക്കയും ചെയ്തു നിന്റെ ജനത്തിന്റെ ഇടയില് നിന്നെ ശാപവും പ്രാക്കും ആക്കിത്തീര്ക്കട്ടെ.

21. then the priest shall adjure the woman by the oaths of this curse, and the priest shall say to the woman, The Lord bring you into a curse and under an oath in the midst of your people, in that the Lord should cause your thigh to rot and your belly to swell;

22. ശാപകരമായ ഈ വെള്ളം നിന്റെ കുടലില് ചെന്നു നിന്റെ ഉദരം വീര്പ്പിക്കയും നിന്റെ നിതംബം ക്ഷിയിപ്പിക്കയും ചെയ്യും എന്നു പറയേണം. അതിന്നു സ്ത്രീആമെന് , ആമെന് എന്നു പറയേണം.

22. and this water bringing the curse shall enter into your womb to cause your belly to swell, and your thigh to rot. And the woman shall say, So be it, So be it.

23. പുരോഹിതന് ഈ ശാപങ്ങള് ഒരു പുസ്തകത്തില് എഴുതി കൈപ്പുവെള്ളത്തില് കഴുകി കലക്കേണം.

23. And the priest shall write these curses in a book, and shall blot them out with the water of the conviction that brings the curse.

24. അവന് ശാപകരമായ കൈപ്പുവെള്ളം സ്ത്രീയെ കുടിപ്പിക്കേണം; ശാപകരമായ വെള്ളം അവളുടെ ഉള്ളില് ചെന്നു കൈപ്പായ്തീരും;

24. And he shall cause the woman to drink the water of the conviction that brings the curse; and the water of the conviction that brings the curse shall enter into her.

25. പുരോഹിതന് സ്ത്രീയുടെ കയ്യില്നിന്നു സംശയത്തിന്റെ ഭോജനയാഗം വാങ്ങി യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയില് നീരാജനം ചെയ്തു യാഗപീഠത്തിന്മേല് അര്പ്പിക്കേണം.

25. And the priest shall take from the hand of the woman the sacrifice of jealousy, and shall present the sacrifice before the Lord, and shall bring it to the altar.

26. പിന്നെ പുരോഹിതന് ഭോജനയാഗത്തില് ഒരു പിടി എടുത്തു യാഗപീഠത്തിന്മേല് നിവേദ്യമായി ദഹിപ്പിക്കേണം; അതിന്റെ ശേഷം സ്ത്രീയെ ആ വെള്ളം കുടിപ്പിക്കേണം.

26. And the priest shall take a handful of the sacrifice as a memorial of it, and shall offer it up upon the altar; and afterwards he shall cause the woman to drink the water.

27. അവള് അശുദ്ധയായി തന്റെ ഭര്ത്താവോടു ദ്രോഹം ചെയ്തിട്ടുണ്ടെങ്കില് അവളെ വെള്ളം കുടിപ്പിച്ച ശേഷം ശാപകരമായ വെള്ളം അവളുടെ ഉള്ളില് ചെന്നു കൈപ്പായ്തീരും; അവളുടെ ഉദരം വീര്ക്കയും നിതംബം ക്ഷയിക്കയും സ്ത്രീ തന്റെ ജനത്തിന്റെ ഇടയില് ശാപഗ്രസ്തയായിരിക്കയും ചെയ്യും.

27. And it shall come to pass, if she has been defiled, and has altogether escaped the notice of her husband, then the water of the conviction that brings the curse shall enter into her; and she shall swell in her belly, and her thigh shall rot, and the woman shall be for a curse in the midst of her people.

28. എന്നാല് സ്ത്രീ അശുദ്ധയാകാതെ നിര്മ്മല ആകുന്നു എങ്കില് അവള്ക്കു ദോഷം വരികയില്ല; അവള് ഗര്ഭം ധരിക്കും.

28. But if the woman has not been polluted, and is clean, then shall she be guiltless and shall conceive seed.

29. ഇതാകുന്നു പാതിവ്രത്യസംശയം സംബന്ധിച്ചുള്ള പ്രമാണം;

29. This is the law of jealousy, in which a married woman should happen to transgress, and be defiled;

30. ഒരു സ്ത്രീ ഭര്ത്താവുണ്ടായിരിക്കെ പിഴെച്ചു അശുദ്ധയാകയോ ശങ്കാവിഷം അവനെ ബാധിച്ചു, അവന് ഭാര്യയെ സംശയിക്കയോ ചെയ്തിട്ടു അവളെ യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയില് നിര്ത്തുമ്പോള് പുരോഹിതന് ഈ പ്രമാണമൊക്കെയും അവളില് നടത്തേണം.

30. or in the case of a man on whomsoever the spirit of jealousy should come, and he should be jealous of his wife, and he should place his wife before the Lord, and the priest shall execute towards her all this law.

31. എന്നാല് പുരുഷന് അകൃത്യത്തില് ഔഹരിക്കാരനാകയില്ല; സ്ത്രീയോ തന്റെ അകൃത്യം വഹിക്കും.

31. Then the man shall be clear from sin, and that woman shall bear her sin.
