1. യഹോവയെ സ്തുതിപ്പിന് . യഹോവയെ സ്തുതിപ്പിന് ; നമ്മുടെ ദൈവത്തിന്നു കീര്ത്തനം പാടുന്നതു നല്ലതു; അതു മനോഹരവും സ്തുതി ഉചിതവും തന്നേ.

1. Shout praises to the LORD! Our God is kind, and it is right and good to sing praises to him.

2. യഹോവ യെരൂശലേമിനെ പണിയുന്നു; അവന് യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ഭ്രഷ്ടന്മാരെ കൂട്ടിച്ചേര്ക്കുംന്നു.

2. The LORD rebuilds Jerusalem and brings the people of Israel back home again.

3. മനംതകര്ന്നവരെ അവന് സൌഖ്യമാക്കുകയും അവരുടെ മുറിവുകളെ കെട്ടുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.

3. He renews our hopes and heals our bodies.

4. He decided how many stars there would be in the sky and gave each one a name.

5. Our LORD is great and powerful! He understands everything.

6. യഹോവ താഴ്മയുള്ളവനെ ഉയര്ത്തുന്നു; അവന് ദുഷ്ടന്മാരെ നിലത്തോളം താഴ്ത്തുന്നു.

6. The LORD helps the poor, but he smears the wicked in the dirt.

7. സ്തോത്രത്തോടെ യഹോവേക്കു പാടുവിന് ; കിന്നരത്തോടെ നമ്മുടെ ദൈവത്തിന്നു കീര്ത്തനം ചെയ്വിന് ;

7. Celebrate and sing! Play your harps for the LORD our God.

8. അവന് ആകാശത്തെ മേഘംകൊണ്ടു മൂടുന്നു ഭൂമിക്കായി മഴ ഒരുക്കുന്നു; അവന് പര്വ്വതങ്ങളില് പുല്ലു മുളപ്പിക്കുന്നു.

8. He fills the sky with clouds and sends rain to the earth, so that the hills will be green with grass.

9. He provides food for cattle and for the young ravens, when they cry out.

10. അശ്വബലത്തില് അവന്നു ഇഷ്ടം തോന്നുന്നില്ല; പുരുഷന്റെ ഊരുക്കളില് പ്രസാദിക്കുന്നതുമില്ല.

10. The LORD doesn't care about the strength of horses or powerful armies.

11. തന്നെ ഭയപ്പെടുകയും തന്റെ ദയയില് പ്രത്യാശ വെക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നവരില് യഹോവ പ്രസാദിക്കുന്നു.

11. The LORD is pleased only with those who worship him and trust his love.

12. യെരൂശലേമേ, യഹോവയെ പുകഴ്ത്തുക; സീയോനേ, നിന്റെ ദൈവത്തെ സ്തുതിക്ക;

12. Everyone in Jerusalem, come and praise the LORD your God!

13. അവന് നിന്റെ വാതിലുകളുടെ ഔടാമ്പലുകളെ ഉറപ്പിച്ചു നിന്റെ അകത്തു നിന്റെ മക്കളെ അനുഗ്രഹിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

13. He makes your city gates strong and blesses your people by giving them children.

14. അവന് നിന്റെ ദേശത്തു സമാധാനം വരുത്തുന്നു; വിശേഷമായ കോതമ്പുകൊണ്ടു നിനക്കു തൃപ്തിവരുത്തുന്നു.

14. God lets you live in peace, and he gives you the very best wheat.

15. അവന് തന്റെ ആജ്ഞ ഭൂമിയിലേക്കു അയക്കുന്നു; അവന്റെ വചനം അതിവേഗം ഔടുന്നു.

15. As soon as God speaks, the earth obeys.

16. അവന് പഞ്ഞിപോലെ മഞ്ഞു പെയ്യിക്കുന്നു; ചാരംപോലെ നീഹാരം വിതറുന്നു.

16. He covers the ground with snow like a blanket of wool, and he scatters frost like ashes on the ground.

17. അവന് നീര്ക്കട്ട കഷണംകഷണമായി എറിയുന്നു; അവന്റെ കുളിര് സഹിച്ചു നിലക്കുന്നവനാര്?

17. God sends down hailstones like chips of rocks. Who can stand the cold?
