1. നിങ്ങളില് ഒരുത്തന്നു മറ്റൊരുത്തനോടു ഒരു കാര്യ്യം ഉണ്ടെങ്കില് വിശുദ്ധന്മാരുടെ മുമ്പാകെ അല്ല, അഭക്തന്മാരുടെ മുമ്പില് വ്യവഹാരത്തിന്നു പോകുവാന് തുനിയുന്നുവോ?

1. Dare any of you, having a matter against the other, go to law before the unrighteous and not before the sanctified?

2. വിശുദ്ധന്മാര് ലോകത്തെ വിധിക്കും എന്നു അറിയുന്നില്ലയോ? ലോകത്തെ നിങ്ങള് വിധിക്കുമെങ്കില് ഏറ്റവും ചെറിയ സംഗതികളെ വിധിപ്പാന് നിങ്ങള് അയോഗ്യരോ?

2. Or know ye not that the sanctified will judge the world? And if the world is judged by you, are ye unworthy of very small legal disputes?

3. നാം ദൂതന്മാരെ വിധിക്കും എന്നു നിങ്ങള് അറിയുന്നില്ലയോ? ഐഹികകാര്യ്യങ്ങളെ എത്ര അധികം?

3. Know ye not that we will judge heavenly agents? Then why not mundane things?

4. എന്നാല് നിങ്ങള്ക്കു ഐഹികകാര്യ്യങ്ങളെക്കുറിച്ചു വ്യവഹാരം ഉണ്ടെങ്കില് വിധിപ്പാന് സഭ ഗണ്യമാക്കാത്തവരെ ഇരുത്തുന്നുവോ?

4. Indeed therefore whenever ye have mundane legal disputes, men who are disdained by the church, these ye seat to judge.

5. നിങ്ങള്ക്കു ലജ്ജെക്കായി ഞാന് ചോദിക്കുന്നു; ഇങ്ങനെ സഹോദരന്മാര്ക്കും മദ്ധ്യേ കാര്യ്യം തീര്പ്പാന് പ്രാപ്തിയുള്ളോരു ജ്ഞാനിയും നിങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയില് ഇല്ലയോ?

5. I speak shame about you. So there is not among you not even one wise man who will be able to arbitrate between his brother?

6. അല്ല, സഹോദരന് സഹോദരനോടു വ്യവഹരിക്കുന്നു; അതും അവിശ്വാസികളുടെ മുമ്പില് തന്നേ.

6. But brother goes to law against brother, and this before unbelievers?

7. നിങ്ങള്ക്കു തമ്മില് വ്യവഹാരം ഉണ്ടാകുന്നതു തന്നേ കേവലം പോരായ്മയാകുന്നു; അതിന്നു പകരം നിങ്ങള് അന്യായം സഹിച്ചുകൊള്ളാത്തതു എന്തു? നഷ്ടം ഏറ്റുകൊള്ളാത്തതു എന്തു?

7. Now therefore it is indeed altogether a defeat for you because ye have legal disputes against yourselves. Why not rather be wronged? Why not rather be defrauded?

8. അല്ല, നിങ്ങള് അന്യായം ചെയ്കയും നഷ്ടം വരുത്തുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു; അതും സഹോദരന്മാര്ക്കും തന്നേ.

8. Instead ye do wrong, and defraud, and these things to brothers.

9. അന്യായം ചെയ്യുന്നവര് ദൈവരാജ്യം അവകാശമാക്കുകയില്ല എന്നു അറിയുന്നില്ലയോ? നിങ്ങളെത്തന്നേ വഞ്ചിക്കാതിരിപ്പിന് ; ദുര്ന്നടപ്പുകാര്, വിഗ്രഹാരാധികള്, വ്യഭിചാരികള്, സ്വയഭോഗികള്, പുരുഷകാമികള്,

9. Or know ye not that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not led astray. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate men, nor homosexuals,

10. കള്ളന്മാര്, അത്യാഗ്രഹികള്, മദ്യപന്മാര്, വാവിഷ്ഠാണക്കാര്, പിടിച്ചുപറിക്കാര് എന്നിവര് ദൈവരാജ്യം അവകാശമാക്കുകയില്ല.

10. nor greedy men, nor thieves, nor drunkards, nor the slanderous, nor the predatory will inherit the kingdom of God.

11. നിങ്ങളും ചിലര് ഈ വകക്കാരായിരുന്നു; എങ്കിലും നിങ്ങള് കര്ത്താവായ യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ നാമത്തിലും നമ്മുടെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ആത്മാവിനാലും നിങ്ങളെത്തന്നേ കഴുകി ശുദ്ധീകരണവും നീതീകരണവും പ്രാപിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

11. And some of you were these things, but ye were washed, but ye were sanctified, but ye were made righteous in the name of the Lord Jesus, and in the Spirit of our God.

12. സകലത്തിന്നും എനിക്കു കര്ത്തവ്യം ഉണ്ടു എങ്കിലും സകലവും പ്രയോജനമുള്ളതല്ല; സകലത്തിന്നും എനിക്കു കര്ത്തവ്യം ഉണ്ടു എങ്കിലും ഞാന് യാതൊന്നിന്നും അധീനനാകയില്ല.

12. All things are lawful for me, but not all things are expedient. All things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under control by anything.

13. ഭോജ്യങ്ങള് വയറ്റിന്നും വയറു ഭോജ്യങ്ങള്ക്കും ഉള്ളതു; എന്നാല് ദൈവം ഇതിനെയും അതിനെയും ഇല്ലായ്മയാക്കും. ശരീരമോ ദുര്ന്നടപ്പിന്നല്ല കര്ത്താവിന്നത്രേ; കര്ത്താവു ശരീരത്തിന്നും.

13. The foods are for the belly and the belly for foods, but God will abolish both this and these things. But the body is not for fornication, but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body.

14. എന്നാല് ദൈവം കര്ത്താവിനെ ഉയിര്പ്പിച്ചതുപോലെ നമ്മെയും തന്റെ ശക്തിയാല് ഉയിര്പ്പിക്കും.

14. And God both raised up the Lord and will raise us up through his power.

15. നിങ്ങളുടെ ശരീരങ്ങള് ക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ അവയവങ്ങള് ആകുന്നു എന്നു അറിയുന്നില്ലയോ? ക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ അവയവങ്ങളെ ഞാന് എടുത്തു വേശ്യയുടെ അവയവങ്ങള് ആക്കാമോ? ഒരുനാളും അരുതു.

15. Know ye not that your bodies are body-parts of Christ? Therefore, having taken the body-parts of the Christ, should I make them body-parts of a harlot? May it not happen!

16. വേശ്യയോടു പറ്റിച്ചേരുന്നവന് അവളുമായി ഏകശരീരമാകുന്നു എന്നു നിങ്ങള് അറിയുന്നില്ലയോ? ഇരുവരും ഒരു ദേഹമായിത്തീരും എന്നുണ്ടല്ലോ.

16. Or know ye not that he who is joined to a harlot is one body? For, The two, he says, will be in one flesh.

17. കര്ത്താവിനോടു പറ്റിച്ചേരുന്നവനോ അവനുമായി ഏകാത്മാവു ആകുന്നു.

17. But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit.

18. ദുര്ന്നടപ്പു വിട്ടു ഔടുവിന് . മനുഷ്യന് ചെയ്യുന്ന ഏതു പാപവും ശരീരത്തിന്നു പുറത്താകുന്നു. ദുര്ന്നടപ്പുകാരനോ സ്വന്തശരീരത്തിന്നു വിരോധമായി പാപം ചെയ്യുന്നു.
യിരേമ്യാവു 31:9

18. Flee fornication. Every sin, whatever a man may do, is outside the body, but he who fornicates sins against his own body.

19. ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ദാനമായി നിങ്ങളില് ഇരിക്കുന്ന പരിശുദ്ധാത്മാവിന്റെ മന്ദിരമാകുന്നു നിങ്ങളുടെ ശരീരം എന്നും നിങ്ങളെ വിലെക്കു വാങ്ങിയിരിക്കയാല് നിങ്ങള് താന്താങ്ങള്ക്കുള്ളവരല്ല എന്നും അറിയുന്നില്ലയോ?

19. Or know ye not that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit in you, which ye have from God? And ye are not your own,

20. അകയാല് നിങ്ങളുടെ ശരീരംകൊണ്ടു ദൈവത്തെ മഹത്വപ്പെടുത്തുവിന് .

20. for ye were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and your spirit, which is of God.
