1. ആകയാല് പ്രിയമക്കള് എന്നപോലെ ദൈവത്തെ അനുകരിപ്പിന് .

1. Be ye the folowers therfore of God as deare children,

2. ക്രിസ്തുവും നിങ്ങളെ സ്നേഹിച്ചു നമുക്കു വേണ്ടി തന്നെത്താന് ദൈവത്തിന്നു സൌരഭ്യവാസനയായ വഴിപാടും യാഗവുമായി അര്പ്പിച്ചതു പോലെ സ്നേഹത്തില് നടപ്പിന്

2. and walke in loue, euen as Christ loued vs, and gaue him selfe for vs an offerynge and sacrifice of a swete sauoure vnto God.

3. ദുര്ന്നടപ്പും യാതൊരു അശുദ്ധിയും അത്യാഗ്രഹവും നിങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയില് പേര് പറകപോലും അരുതു;

3. As for whordome and all vnclennes, or couetousnes, let it not be named amoge you, as it becommeth sayntes:

4. അങ്ങനെ ആകുന്നു വിശുദ്ധന്മാര്ക്കും ഉചിതം. ചീത്തത്തരം, പൊട്ടച്ചൊല്, കളിവാക്കു ഇങ്ങനെ ചേര്ച്ചയല്ലാത്തവ ഒന്നും അരുതു; സ്തോത്രമത്രേ വേണ്ടതു.

4. nether fylthines, ner folish talkynge, ner ieastynge (which are not comly) but rather geuynge of thakes.

5. ദുര്ന്നടപ്പുകാരന് , അശുദ്ധന് , വിഗ്രഹാരാധിയായ ദ്രവ്യാഗ്രഹി ഇവര്ക്കും ആര്ക്കും ക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെയും ദൈവത്തിന്റെയും രാജ്യത്തില് അവകാശമില്ല എന്നു നിങ്ങള് അറിയുന്നുവല്ലോ.

5. For be sure, that no whore monger, or vncleane person, or couetous person (which is a worshipper off ymages) hath inheritaunce in the kyngdome of Christ and of God.

6. വ്യര്ത്ഥവാക്കുകളാല് ആരും നിങ്ങളെ ചതിക്കരുതു; ഈ വക നിമിത്തമല്ലോ ദൈവകോപം അനുസരണം കെട്ടവരുടെ മേല് വരുന്നു.

6. (Let no man disceaue you with vayne wordes) for because of these commeth the wrath of God vpon the children of vnbeleue.

7. നിങ്ങള് അവരുടെ കൂട്ടാളികള് ആകരുതു.

7. Be not ye therfore companions with them.

8. മുമ്പെ നിങ്ങള് ഇരുളായിരുന്നു; ഇപ്പോഴോ കര്ത്താവില് വെളിച്ചം ആകുന്നു.

8. For sometyme ye were darknesse, but now are ye lighte in the LORDE. Walke as the children of lighte.

9. കര്ത്താവിന്നു പ്രസാദമായതു എന്തെന്നു പരിശോധിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു വെളിച്ചത്തിലുള്ളവരായി നടന്നുകൊള്വിന് .

9. (For the frute of the sprete is all maner of goodnes, and righteousnes and trueth:)

10. സകല സല്ഗുണവും നീതിയും സത്യവുമല്ലോ വെളിച്ചത്തിന്റെ ഫലം.

10. and prone what is pleasinge vnto the LORDE,

11. ഇരുട്ടിന്റെ നിഷ്ഫലപ്രവൃത്തികളില് കൂട്ടാളികള് ആകരുതു; അവയെ ശാസിക്ക അത്രേ വേണ്ടതു.

11. and haue no fellishippe with ye vnfrutefull workes of darknes, but rather rebuke the.

12. അവര് ഗൂഢമായി ചെയ്യുന്നതു പറവാന് പോലും ലജ്ജയാകുന്നു.

12. For it is shame euen to name those thinges, which are done of them in secrete.

13. അവയെ ശാസിക്കുമ്പോഴോ സകലത്തെയും കുറിച്ചു വെളിച്ചത്താല് ബോധം വരും; ബോധം വരുന്നതെല്ലാം വെളിച്ചം പോലെ തെളിവല്ലോ.

13. But all thinges are manifest, whan they are rebuked of the lighte. For what so euer is manifest, that same is lighte.

14. അതുകൊണ്ടു“ഉറങ്ങുന്നവനേ, ഉണര്ന്നു മരിച്ചവരുടെ ഇടയില് നിന്നു എഴുന്നേല്ക്ക; എന്നാല് ക്രിസ്തു നിന്റെ മേല് പ്രകാശിക്കും” എന്നു ചൊല്ലുന്നു.

14. Therfore sayeth he: Awake thou that slepest, and stonde vp fro the deed, and Christ shal geue the lighte.

15. ആകയാല് സൂക്ഷമത്തോടെ, അജ്ഞാനികളായിട്ടല്ല ജ്ഞാനികളായിട്ടത്രേ നടപ്പാന് നോക്കുവിന് .

15. Take hede therfore how ye walke circumspectly, not as the vnwyse, but as ye wyse,

16. ഇതു ദുഷ്കാലമാകയാല് സമയം തക്കത്തില് ഉപയോഗിച്ചുകൊള്വിന് .

16. and redeme the tyme, for it is a miserable tyme.

17. ബുദ്ധിഹീനരാകാതെ കര്ത്താവിന്റെ ഇഷ്ടം ഇന്നതെന്നു ഗ്രഹിച്ചുകൊള്വിന് .

17. Wherfore be not ye vnwyse, but vnderstonde what the wil of the LORDE is,

18. വീഞ്ഞു കുടിച്ചു മത്തരാകാരുതു; അതിനാല് ദുര്ന്നടപ്പു ഉണ്ടാകുമല്ലോ. ആത്മാവു നിറഞ്ഞവരായി സങ്കീര്ത്തനങ്ങളാലും

19. and talke amoge youre selues of Psalmes, and ymnes, and spirituall songes, synginge and makynge melody vnto the LORDE in youre hertes

20. നമ്മുടെ കര്ത്താവായ യേശു ക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ നാമത്തില് ദൈവവും പിതാവുമായവന്നു എല്ലായ്പോഴും എല്ലാറ്റിന്നു വേണ്ടിയും സ്തോത്രം ചെയ്തുകൊള്വിന് .

20. geuynge thankes alwayes for all thinges vnto God the father, in the name of oure LORDE Iesus Christ,

21. ക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ ഭയത്തില് അന്യോന്യം കീഴ്പെട്ടിരിപ്പിന് .

21. submyttinge youreselues one to another in the feare of God.

22. ഭാര്യമാരേ, കര്ത്താവിന്നു എന്നപോലെ സ്വന്ത ഭര്ത്താക്കന്മാര്ക്കും കീഴടങ്ങുവിന് .

22. Let the wemen submytte them selues vnto their hussbandes, as vnto the LORDE.

23. ക്രിസ്തു ശരീരത്തിന്റെ രക്ഷിതാവായി സഭെക്കു തലയാകുന്നതുപോലെ ഭര്ത്താവു ഭാര്യകൂ തലയാകുന്നു.

23. For the hussbande is the wyues heade, eue as Christ also is the heade of the congregacion, and he is the Sauioure of his body.

24. എന്നാല് സഭ ക്രിസ്തുവിന്നു കീഴടങ്ങിയിരിക്കുന്നതു പോലെ ഭാര്യമാരും ഭര്ത്താക്കന്മാര്ക്കും സകലത്തിലും കീഴടങ്ങിയിരിക്കേണം.

24. Therfore as the congregacion is in subieccion to Christ, likewyse let the wyues be in subieccion to their hussbandes in all thinges.

25. ഭര്ത്താക്കന്മാരേ, ക്രിസ്തുവും സഭയെ സ്നേഹിച്ചതുപോലെ നിങ്ങളുടെ ഭാര്യമാരെ സ്നേഹിപ്പിന് .

25. Ye hussbandes loue youre wyues, euen as Christ loued the congregacion, and gaue himselfe for it,

26. അവന് അവളെ വചനത്തോടുകൂടിയ ജലസ്നാനത്താല് വെടിപ്പാക്കി വിശുദ്ധീകരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നും

26. to sanctifye it, and clensed it in the fountayne of water by the worde,

27. കറ, ചുളുക്കം മുതലായതു ഒന്നും ഇല്ലാതെ സഭയെ ശുദ്ധയും നിഷ്കളങ്കയുമായി തനിക്കു തന്നേ തേജസ്സോടെ മുന്നിറുത്തേണ്ടതിന്നും തന്നെത്താന് അവള്ക്കു വേണ്ടി ഏല്പിച്ചുകൊടുത്തു.

27. to make it vnto himselfe a glorious congregacion, hauynge no spot ner wrynkle, ner eny soch thinge, but that it shulde be holy and without blame.

28. അവ്വണ്ണം ഭര്ത്താക്കന്മാരും തങ്ങളുടെ ഭാര്യമാരെ സ്വന്ത ശരീരങ്ങളെപ്പോലെ സ്നേഹിക്കേണ്ടതാകുന്നു. ഭാര്യയെ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നവന് തന്നെത്താന് സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നു.

28. So oughte men also to loue their wyues, euen as their awne bodyes. He that loueth his wife, loueth himselfe.

29. ആരും തന്റെ ജഡത്തെ ഒരുനാളും പകെച്ചിട്ടില്ലല്ലോ; ക്രിസ്തുവും സഭയെ ചെയ്യുന്നതു പോലെ അതിനെ പോറ്റി പുലര്ത്തുകയത്രേ ചെയ്യുന്നതു.

29. For no ma euer yet hated his awne flesshe, but norisheth and cherissheth it, euen as the LORDE doth also the congregacion.

30. നാം അവന്റെ ശരീരത്തിന്റെ അവയവങ്ങളല്ലോ.

30. For we are membres of his body, of his flesh and of his bones.

31. അതു നിമിത്തം ഒരു മനുഷ്യന് അപ്പനെയും അമ്മയെയും വിട്ടു ഭാര്യയോടു പറ്റിച്ചേരും; ഇരുവരും ഒരു ദേഹമായിത്തീരും .

31. For this cause shal a man leaue father and mother, and cleue vnto his wife, and they two shal be one flesh:

32. ഈ മര്മ്മം വലിയതു; ഞാന് ക്രിസ്തുവിനെയും സഭയെയും ഉദ്ദേശിച്ചത്രേ പറയുന്നതു. എന്നാല് നിങ്ങളും അങ്ങനെ തന്നേ ഔരോരുത്തന് താന്താന്റെ ഭാര്യയെ തന്നെപ്പോലെ തന്നേ സ്നേഹിക്കേണം. ഭാര്യയോ ഭര്ത്താവിനെ ഭയപ്പെടേണ്ടതാകുന്നു.

32. This is a greate secrete: but I speake of Christ and the congregacion.
