1. ആകയാല് പ്രിയമക്കള് എന്നപോലെ ദൈവത്തെ അനുകരിപ്പിന് .

1. Become ye, therefore, imitators of God, as children beloved,

2. ക്രിസ്തുവും നിങ്ങളെ സ്നേഹിച്ചു നമുക്കു വേണ്ടി തന്നെത്താന് ദൈവത്തിന്നു സൌരഭ്യവാസനയായ വഴിപാടും യാഗവുമായി അര്പ്പിച്ചതു പോലെ സ്നേഹത്തില് നടപ്പിന്

2. And walk in love even as, the Christ also, loved you, and delivered himself up in your behalf, an offering and sacrifice unto God, for a fragrance of sweet smell.

3. ദുര്ന്നടപ്പും യാതൊരു അശുദ്ധിയും അത്യാഗ്രഹവും നിങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയില് പേര് പറകപോലും അരുതു;

3. But, fornication, and all impurity, or covetousness, let it not be named among you even as becometh saints;

4. അങ്ങനെ ആകുന്നു വിശുദ്ധന്മാര്ക്കും ഉചിതം. ചീത്തത്തരം, പൊട്ടച്ചൊല്, കളിവാക്കു ഇങ്ങനെ ചേര്ച്ചയല്ലാത്തവ ഒന്നും അരുതു; സ്തോത്രമത്രേ വേണ്ടതു.

4. And shamelessness and foolish talking, or jesting, which things are beneath you, but, rather, giving of thanks;

5. ദുര്ന്നടപ്പുകാരന് , അശുദ്ധന് , വിഗ്രഹാരാധിയായ ദ്രവ്യാഗ്രഹി ഇവര്ക്കും ആര്ക്കും ക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെയും ദൈവത്തിന്റെയും രാജ്യത്തില് അവകാശമില്ല എന്നു നിങ്ങള് അറിയുന്നുവല്ലോ.

5. For, this, ye know, if ye take note that no fornicator, or impure or greedy person, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of the Christ and God.

6. വ്യര്ത്ഥവാക്കുകളാല് ആരും നിങ്ങളെ ചതിക്കരുതു; ഈ വക നിമിത്തമല്ലോ ദൈവകോപം അനുസരണം കെട്ടവരുടെ മേല് വരുന്നു.

6. Let no one be deceiving you with empty words; for, because of these things, is coming the anger of God upon the sons of obstinacy:

7. നിങ്ങള് അവരുടെ കൂട്ടാളികള് ആകരുതു.

7. Do not, then, become co-partners with them;

8. മുമ്പെ നിങ്ങള് ഇരുളായിരുന്നു; ഇപ്പോഴോ കര്ത്താവില് വെളിച്ചം ആകുന്നു.

8. For ye were, at one time, darkness, but, now, are ye light in the Lord, as children of light, be walking,

9. കര്ത്താവിന്നു പ്രസാദമായതു എന്തെന്നു പരിശോധിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു വെളിച്ചത്തിലുള്ളവരായി നടന്നുകൊള്വിന് .

9. For, the fruit of the light, is in all goodness, and righteousness, and truth,

10. സകല സല്ഗുണവും നീതിയും സത്യവുമല്ലോ വെളിച്ചത്തിന്റെ ഫലം.

10. Putting to the test what is well-pleasing unto the Lord;

11. ഇരുട്ടിന്റെ നിഷ്ഫലപ്രവൃത്തികളില് കൂട്ടാളികള് ആകരുതു; അവയെ ശാസിക്ക അത്രേ വേണ്ടതു.

11. And be not joining in fellowship in the unfruitful works of darkness, but, rather, be even administering reproof;

12. അവര് ഗൂഢമായി ചെയ്യുന്നതു പറവാന് പോലും ലജ്ജയാകുന്നു.

12. For, of the secret things which are brought to pass by them, it is, shameful, even to speak!

13. അവയെ ശാസിക്കുമ്പോഴോ സകലത്തെയും കുറിച്ചു വെളിച്ചത്താല് ബോധം വരും; ബോധം വരുന്നതെല്ലാം വെളിച്ചം പോലെ തെളിവല്ലോ.

13. All things, however, when reproved by the light, become manifest, for, all that of itself maketh manifest, is, light;

14. അതുകൊണ്ടു“ഉറങ്ങുന്നവനേ, ഉണര്ന്നു മരിച്ചവരുടെ ഇടയില് നിന്നു എഴുന്നേല്ക്ക; എന്നാല് ക്രിസ്തു നിന്റെ മേല് പ്രകാശിക്കും” എന്നു ചൊല്ലുന്നു.

14. Wherefore it saith Up! thou sleeper, and arise from among the dead, and the Christ will shine upon thee.

15. ആകയാല് സൂക്ഷമത്തോടെ, അജ്ഞാനികളായിട്ടല്ല ജ്ഞാനികളായിട്ടത്രേ നടപ്പാന് നോക്കുവിന് .

15. Be taking heed, therefore, exactly how ye are walking, not as unwise, but as wise,

16. ഇതു ദുഷ്കാലമാകയാല് സമയം തക്കത്തില് ഉപയോഗിച്ചുകൊള്വിന് .

16. Buying out for yourselves the opportunity, because, the days, are evil;

17. ബുദ്ധിഹീനരാകാതെ കര്ത്താവിന്റെ ഇഷ്ടം ഇന്നതെന്നു ഗ്രഹിച്ചുകൊള്വിന് .

17. For this cause, do not become foolish, but have discernment as to what is the will of the Lord;

18. വീഞ്ഞു കുടിച്ചു മത്തരാകാരുതു; അതിനാല് ദുര്ന്നടപ്പു ഉണ്ടാകുമല്ലോ. ആത്മാവു നിറഞ്ഞവരായി സങ്കീര്ത്തനങ്ങളാലും

19. Speaking to yourselves, with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs; singing, and striking the strings, with your heart unto the Lord;

20. നമ്മുടെ കര്ത്താവായ യേശു ക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ നാമത്തില് ദൈവവും പിതാവുമായവന്നു എല്ലായ്പോഴും എല്ലാറ്റിന്നു വേണ്ടിയും സ്തോത്രം ചെയ്തുകൊള്വിന് .

20. Giving thanks, always, for all things, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, unto your God and Father;

21. ക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ ഭയത്തില് അന്യോന്യം കീഴ്പെട്ടിരിപ്പിന് .

21. Submitting yourselves one to another in reverence of Christ,

22. ഭാര്യമാരേ, കര്ത്താവിന്നു എന്നപോലെ സ്വന്ത ഭര്ത്താക്കന്മാര്ക്കും കീഴടങ്ങുവിന് .

22. Ye wives, unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord,

23. ക്രിസ്തു ശരീരത്തിന്റെ രക്ഷിതാവായി സഭെക്കു തലയാകുന്നതുപോലെ ഭര്ത്താവു ഭാര്യകൂ തലയാകുന്നു.

23. Because, a husband, is the head of his wife, as, the Christ also, is the head of the assembly, he, being the saviour of the body,

24. എന്നാല് സഭ ക്രിസ്തുവിന്നു കീഴടങ്ങിയിരിക്കുന്നതു പോലെ ഭാര്യമാരും ഭര്ത്താക്കന്മാര്ക്കും സകലത്തിലും കീഴടങ്ങിയിരിക്കേണം.

24. Nevertheless, as, the assembly, submitteth herself unto the Christ, so, the wives, unto their husbands, in everything:

25. ഭര്ത്താക്കന്മാരേ, ക്രിസ്തുവും സഭയെ സ്നേഹിച്ചതുപോലെ നിങ്ങളുടെ ഭാര്യമാരെ സ്നേഹിപ്പിന് .

25. Ye husbands, be loving your wives, even as, the Christ also, loved the assembly, and delivered, himself, up in her behalf,

26. അവന് അവളെ വചനത്തോടുകൂടിയ ജലസ്നാനത്താല് വെടിപ്പാക്കി വിശുദ്ധീകരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നും

26. That, her, he might sanctify, having purified her with the bath of water, in declaration,

27. കറ, ചുളുക്കം മുതലായതു ഒന്നും ഇല്ലാതെ സഭയെ ശുദ്ധയും നിഷ്കളങ്കയുമായി തനിക്കു തന്നേ തേജസ്സോടെ മുന്നിറുത്തേണ്ടതിന്നും തന്നെത്താന് അവള്ക്കു വേണ്ടി ഏല്പിച്ചുകൊടുത്തു.

27. That, he, might present, unto himself, the assembly, all glorious, not having spot or wrinkle or any of such things, but that she should be holy and blameless;

28. അവ്വണ്ണം ഭര്ത്താക്കന്മാരും തങ്ങളുടെ ഭാര്യമാരെ സ്വന്ത ശരീരങ്ങളെപ്പോലെ സ്നേഹിക്കേണ്ടതാകുന്നു. ഭാര്യയെ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നവന് തന്നെത്താന് സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നു.

28. So, ought the husbands also to be loving their own wives, as their own bodies, he that loveth his own wife, loveth himself,

29. ആരും തന്റെ ജഡത്തെ ഒരുനാളും പകെച്ചിട്ടില്ലല്ലോ; ക്രിസ്തുവും സഭയെ ചെയ്യുന്നതു പോലെ അതിനെ പോറ്റി പുലര്ത്തുകയത്രേ ചെയ്യുന്നതു.

29. No one, in fact, ever yet hated, his own flesh, but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as, the Christ, the assembly,

30. നാം അവന്റെ ശരീരത്തിന്റെ അവയവങ്ങളല്ലോ.

30. Because, members, are we of his body;

31. അതു നിമിത്തം ഒരു മനുഷ്യന് അപ്പനെയും അമ്മയെയും വിട്ടു ഭാര്യയോടു പറ്റിച്ചേരും; ഇരുവരും ഒരു ദേഹമായിത്തീരും .

31. For this cause, will a man leave his father and his mother, and will cleave unto his wife, and, they two, shall become, one flesh.

32. ഈ മര്മ്മം വലിയതു; ഞാന് ക്രിസ്തുവിനെയും സഭയെയും ഉദ്ദേശിച്ചത്രേ പറയുന്നതു. എന്നാല് നിങ്ങളും അങ്ങനെ തന്നേ ഔരോരുത്തന് താന്താന്റെ ഭാര്യയെ തന്നെപ്പോലെ തന്നേ സ്നേഹിക്കേണം. ഭാര്യയോ ഭര്ത്താവിനെ ഭയപ്പെടേണ്ടതാകുന്നു.

32. This sacred secret, is, great, I, however, am speaking as to Christ and as to the assembly;
